Day 263: List how you did your make up today
presumptive to assume I wore makeup lol I did not. I really honestly don’t wear makeup much—and the only makeup I do wear is pretty much just coverup for if I feel like my skin is bad that day. Even then, it’s moreso just to hide the fact that I’ve been scratching at my skin/to prevent myself from scratching (benefit to coverup/foundation: if I don’t see a blemish, I won’t scratch at it)
For special occasions I might? Put on some lipstick? Maybe mascara/eyeshadow? But that’s more for holidays. I generally don’t think I look that bad and don’t want to trick myself into thinking I need to be more than I am, so that’s why I don’t really wear makeup!
I did a 20 minute face mask after a bath today, does that count?

It was so hard growing up in a minimal-fruit household. Only fruits we had consistently were apples and bananas which aren’t juicy enough to be considered true fruit imo. I was so jealous of my friends that had oranges and berries and melons. I thought they were millionaires. Other people nowadays complain they didn’t have snack foods like cheez-its and cheese-filled crackers and potato chips and pop tarts and things growing up but we had all that. Cuz it was cheap in bulk at Sam’s Club and didn’t require washing or cutting and didn’t make a mess. But it was soooooo dryyyyyyy and I didn’t even like those foods. It was like eating sand (and still is to me). All I wanted was some juicy ass fruit 😔

imagine taking care of riki while he’s sick and he can’t resist the urge to give you kissies all over bc he’s so inluv with you :(
[Vitamin C]uddles —⊹ N.RK (西村力) 🛏️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairing… ⊹ ࣪ ˖ sick boyfriend!niki x gf!reader
Warnings… ⊹ ࣪ ˖ kissing, lots of teasing, fluff
Words… ⊹ ࣪ ˖ 521 -> “I’ll take care of you. Duh.”
Despite his usually intimidating appearance, Niki was a huge baby on the inside, and those attributes were only amplified whenever he wasn’t feeling well.
The poor boy had been sick ever since he got back from traveling, so you took it upon yourself to care for him until he got better.
“Hey, this needs more soy sauce… I can hardly taste it,” Niki whined, taking a dissatisfied sip from the chicken soup you ordered.
“Niki, there’s already so much in here that the broth turned brown. Now eat up before it gets cold,” you said, placing a napkin on the table tray beside him.
“I will, but only if you stay with me this time.”
You turned your head at his words, “Aww, d’you miss me?”
“No, I’ve been in bed all day and I’m just bored.”
“Riigght,” you said, spoon feeding him a glob of the grape flavored medicine.
He made a weird face, trying to get over the bitter taste of the cough syrup, “My God, that tastes like poison!”
You giggled at your boyfriends words, climbing in bed next to him with a large plate of assorted sushi rolls, “Try some with wasabi, too! It might help unclog your sinuses.”
Using the chopsticks, you dipped a sushi roll into the chunky green paste, bringing it to his mouth with an airplane motion.
You must’ve put too much, because his eyes immediately started watering as he ate it.
“Do you have any other talents aside from torturing me everyday?” He asked, wiping his eyes with the sleeve of his hoodie.
“Yup,” you said plainly, escaping his side, “I’m pretty good at leaving sick people to fend for themselves.”
He watched as you walked toward the door, “Byeeee… wait! NOO!! I miss you already!”
“But you just said bye?”
“I didn’t mean it, baby. Come back please!! You forgot to give me vitamin C.”
“Vitamin what?” You asked, turning to face him with your arms crossed.
“Vitamin C… for cuddles,” he clarified, pouting.
“Fine,” you said sharply, “but only if you promise not to say anything else stupid… or mean.”
“Ok, ok, just stop stalling and get over here already!”
You walked back to the bed, lying next to Niki under the covers as he put the sushi platter on the bedside table.
“Wahhh, you’re so warm,” you giggled, your silly boyfriend swinging his leg over your body.
“Okay, now what are you doing?”
“Making a cage for you, my naughty little kitten,” he smiled, poking your nose.
“But I don’t like cages,” you sulked.
“Well then pretend it’s a seatbelt instead,” he chirped.
“Fine…”
“Double FINE! Can I get a kiss now?”
“What? No, what if you get me sick?”
“Then I’ll take care of you. Duh… and before you ask, yes, I promise,” he chuckled, resting his hand on your neck before cradling your face in his hand, leaving feather light kisses all over your face.
“Thank you for not rejecting my heebie-jeebies,” he said in between pecking your cheeks.
“Well when you put it like that, it kinda makes me want to,” you teased, squirming in his warm embrace.

JJK bf's take care of you when you're sick
₊˚ପ⊹ N.Kento & S.Gojo
₊˚ପ⊹ wc: 1.1k
𓂃⊹ ִֶָ
N.Kento:
The moment your throat so much as tickles, Nanami does his damndest to get you back to your usual self. It feels strangely paternal how attentive he becomes, not allowing you to lift a finger for yourself.
You first notice that you woke up sweating, your throat dry, and your eyes heavy. You check to see you still have another 3 hours before work but God you need some water. It’s all you can think about and you stumble into the kitchen, filling a glass. You drain the cup of its lukewarm water clearing your throat repeatedly as you notice it doesn’t go away. You fill it up twice. Then thrice. You begin to panic, realizing you feel freezing cold and boiling hot all at once.
“Baby? Where’d you go? Come back to bed sweetheart.” He stumbles out, entering the threshold of the kitchen. You hate the fact you are trying to blink back tears, you always become such a baby when you get sick. “What’s wrong doll?” he asks you, pulling you into his bare chest. You babble out that you don’t feel good and his big hand goes to check your temperature. His cool palm feels good against your burning forehead and you can almost make out the concern in his eyes. He clasps his hands in yours and walks you into your shared bathroom, helping you down on the toilet seat before rummaging in the medicine cabinet. He pulls out the thermometer and you stick your tongue up for him to place it under. While you two wait he strokes your hair wordlessly. You can tell he is barely awake, eyes squinting and his hand in your hair forgetting to move.
The thermometer beeps and he pulls it out from under your tongue. He puts the results up close to his eyes, forgetting his glasses on the bedside table. He doesn’t tell you the number because he knows it will only make you upset. “Looks like we’re gonna spend the day at home.”
The two of you call out of your respective jobs and Nanami gets to work. He draws you a warm bath with lavender soaking salts, helping you strip from your night clothes. You sniffle and you hardly notice the fact you are giving him pathetic puppy eyes once your shirt comes off. He clicks his tongue at you, telling you that you have nothing to worry about. “I’m here,” he reassures you.
While you soak he sets up the couch for you with a pillow and blanket. When you're out and after he assists you in putting on clean clothes and fuzzy socks he already has your breakfast on your lap. “Do you need me to feed you too?” he teases, squeezing the plump skin of your cheek. He puts on your favorite show and rushes to get you a pain reliever and vitamin c gummies. He makes sure to sit on the couch with you so you don’t become lonely but is quick to get up when you need a cold cloth against your face. While you nap he runs a few errands, grabbing your favorite sport drinks for extra hydration and the soup from your favorite place. He spends the rest of the day with you, tending to your every need. Nanami refuses to entertain you when you babble about how guilty you feel that he is taking care of you. “Focus on getting better and I’ll focus on making you better,” he promises.
𓂃⊹ ִֶָ
S.Gojo:
Gojo knows that he can’t take away your cold, but he will make sure your high-strung personality doesn’t get in the way of you getting better.
He can’t take you seriously when you throw your head back and groan. If he didn’t know any better, he would’ve thought you got news the world was ending. You went to the doctor for your yearly check up when they discovered a fever and swollen lymph nodes. You were shocked, you felt completely fine. That was until you woke up the next day with the worst sore throat of your life, paired with a perfectly obnoxious cough. When Gojo called you that morning you made a huge deal about it, telling him not to come over and to cancel your plans for the rest of the week. He mentioned dropping off some cough syrup and you frantically told him to skip it. You would be fine! He just had to stay away. You would die if you got your boyfriend sick.
At around 6pm, the white-haired sorcerer was at your door carrying a grocery bag of goodies for you. You groaned, exasperated that he showed up. You were fine! It was him who needed to stay away. He flashed his teeth at your reaction, pushing past you and setting out the supplies he got you on your coffee table. “I got you the cherry flavored cough drops, I hope you don’t mind. I wasn’t sure what you would like.” You made sure to thank him before feebly attempting to kick him out. He crossed his arms at you, eyebrow raising, “Or what bunny?” You throw your hands up and sit down on your couch in a huff. The abrupt action causes you to break out in a coughing fit and Gojo rolls his eyes. He unwraps a cough drop and once your coughing fit calms he pushes the red menthol past your lips. You start to speak up before his finger hovers over your mouth, “Quiet,” he commands. If you felt even an ounce better you would have rolled your eyes, but instead you obeyed. He began moving the couch pillows down to one end before sitting down, leaning against them. He pulled you close into his arms and laid your head against his chest. Grabbing the remote, he turns up the volume of the movie you had playing and sits there in silence with you. You two hadn’t been dating for very long and it was odd to be quiet with him. Your relationship was founded on the chaos you two thrived on. But here the two of you were, dead silent with his slender fingers rubbing soothing circles on your skin. You grew incredibly sleepy from soaking in his warmth, the dialogue in the movie turning into radio static in your mind. Satoru’s chest was moving you up and down to the rhythm of his breathing and his left hand was tangled in your hair, massaging your scalp. You were probably drooling from how relaxing it was but you couldn’t muster the strength to bring your hand up to wipe it. “Just rest,” his voice broke out from your fading thoughts, “Satoru’s got you,” if you were any more conscious you could have heard the smirk that his words broke through.

Smiling Critters x sick! employee reader
Tumblr media
You twisted and turned in your sleep. Sweat collecting on your cold body. Even with a blanket on. All windows and doors were shut, no cool air could flow into even the smallest corners of your room.
So why were you so damn cold?
Oh. A fever.
You woke up with a stuffy nose, an aching head, and a sore throat mixed with a high temperature(ME!!!).
Maybe you shouldn’t go to work today.
But money…
But getting better…
But money… :(
Eh whatever. Just take some tylenol and you’ll be fine.
You woke up at your designated time—
SHUT UP!! I woke uh(up) ah(at) my.. Uhhhh. Deserted time! And.. Ate.. Uhm..
… Will you let me speak?
Uhm.. NO!! I ate.. Uhhhh, someeee Eggo waffles!!! Yurmy.. With syrup bcus.. I like syrup! And.. A cup of orang juice..
Lovely explanation of your morning.
May I speak now?
You.. MaY!!
Thanks. You sloppily trotted around your kitchen, trying to find something to eat. You couldn’t even see things right, ughhh. And you were just soooo HOT!! But you got chills at the same time!!
Maybe you should stay home.
NO!! I need… THe mONey!!
Alright. You looked in your freezer, finding some eggo waffles you could munch on. Now for a drink, since you had a fever, maybe some orange juice would help calm it down.
It isn’t THAT bad. The orange juice I mean, your health state is terrible.
Mmm… What should I consume next?
Maybe a spoon of honey and lemon? It helps with your throat. Like a lot.
Hmm… OkAYY!!
You took the spoon of honey and lemon, now for some vitamins(zinc and vitamin c, that’s what I took) and now you’re off!
You were still not right in the head, so you may have tripped on your own feet while walking to your car. You entered it, and sat down with a sigh. So you’re not coughing up the workplace, you decided to suck on a cough drop.
They taste gross, but it’s worth it. You sat there in your car seat for a few minutes, just thinking about what’ll possibly happen at your job. Maybe the other employees will notice and ask if you’re okay. Or maybe the Smiling Critters will notice how sick you are and try to take care of you.
Heh.. Little animals taking care of a whole human. How is that even possible?
.
.
.
Pretty possible if I do say so myself. You stepped into work after scanning with your id— This place is always so high with security, it could even have those red beaming laser beams from movies.
Anyways, you said your hi’s and hello’s to your employees, including toys of course. How could you miss out on saying hello to such cuties?
And those cuties could see how sick you were, but were too busy with the workers or the children that just LOVE receiving some toy attention.
You went over to Playcare, preparing to deal with possibly another headache, even if yours is gone now. Another headache from the kids’ yelling and screaming, from their shrieks of joy, much more reasons to make your head throb with annoyance.
Being sick makes you grumpy.
“Hey coworker!” A voice from behind erupted, from how bright and loud it was, you could tell it was a certain dog.
You turned around, slightly closing your eyes from his bright aura, “Hey Dog—” You interrupted your greeting with a cough, “Day.. How are you today?” You had a wobbling smile on your face, trying to make it seem like you were the most healthy person alive.
“Um, I’m good! Are you alright? You seem kind of out of it..?” Dogday asked, he was worried about you and your well being. Kind of similar to that scenario you came up with in your head…
“Yeah I’m—” You coughed, a bit more aggressively compared to other recent one. “... Are you sure..?”
“Yeah—” You fainted, falling towards the ground.
Waiting for a thud to be echoed around the big place, but only a soft one. Including some fur and a vanilla scent. Had he.. Caught you? How? He’s like 5 ft?(In his more kiddish form, not his bigger form)
“Oh geez..” He said, calling to the other critters to help him with getting you somewhere where you could rest. As you were slowly falling asleep, you could hear many worried voices. But by the time words could clearly be said, you were gone.
You were slightly waking up, slowly blinking your eyelids. You wanted to go back to sleep, but you have a job to do.
OH SHOOT YOU HAVE A JOB TO DO!!!!
You abruptly woke up, fully awake or not. But the sudden motion really messed with your head. The whole world was blurry, even the colorful blobs that were small in your vision.
“Oh my!” You could hear a soft pitter patter of paws hurrying over to you. Why's the red blob getting bigger?
“Mmm… Muh?” You couldn't properly possess words at the moment, so whatever came out your mouth was unauthorized sounds.
“You should rest! Sitting up that quickly can mess with you!” A paw gently grabbed your hand.
“Buh.. Bear?” You sounded like a 3 year old trying to pronounce words..
“Oh! Yes, I'm a bear..” You couldn't process the face right, but it looked like the bear was smiling. Why was the bear red? Aren't they supposed to brown? Or white, or black and white..? Or something.. This sickness is really messing with your head..
“Now rest, please…” The worried voice calmly said to you. Not pushing you, just holding your hand.
“Work.. I—” You leaned forward and fell cheek flat on the bear’s face.
“Ee—!” They made a slight squeak at the contact. “Alright. That works.” They chuckled.
Hours later, you finally woke up. You could hear conversations while you blinked your eyes open.
“And then— they fell on me!” Laughter was spread around the room from different voices and tones.
You figured that whoever was speaking, was talking about you…
One of them looked over and saw you—
“Guys, they’re up!” They said.
They all looked over at you, as you slowly but surely sat up. Your head wasn’t as woozy, still had your stuffy nose and hurting throat though..
Now that you didn’t quickly get up, and were more rested, you could finally clearly see the animals that were once blobs.
“Oh.. Hoppy? And Bobby—” They all rushed over to you, wanting to see if you were okay to even get out of bed. You weren’t sweaty, your voice was kinda ehh.., your nose seems stuffy, you didn’t have a headache because they would’ve noticed the second you sat up.. But you’re still not in the right condition to work!
“Are you okay?” What was this one’s name again..? Dogday?
“Uhhh, yea Dogday, I’m okay.”
“No headache or anything?” A soft voice said, that was Craftycorn, right?
“Luckily, no. I took a tylenol so I was fine when I woke up.” You let out a cough, covering your mouth while doing so(no spreading germs!!).
Throughout the day, you had little animals taking care of you and your sickness. You had a couple of spoons of honey and lemon, took some vitamins, ate, and had a humidifier on all day. Also you were secluded in their little room they all had. So the ‘sunlight’ was on you all day, as if you were some sunflower..
You were wondering if the employees were even thinking about your disappearance.
At the end of the day, you ended up sleeping in Dogday’s bed, cuddled up to him. He said, “It’ll help with your sickness! And make you feel better!”
You woke up the next day, and yeah— it did make you feel better.
A/N|| I apologize for not including all of the Smiling Critters, I did try to include at least some of the ones that weren't always in the spotlight(I mean the ones that aren't talked about too much).
Another A/N|| Hip hip hooray!! I'm back ^_^

How to make gelatin gummies ✨
Don’t read if you’re a vegan 💞
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gelatin is a protein made from collagen, which comes from animal parts like skin, bones, and cartilage. It’s made by boiling these parts to break down collagen, then drying it into a powder. When mixed with water and cooled, it turns into a jelly like substance.
Benefits of Gelatin Gummies
• Gelatin is rich in collagen, which can improve skin elasticity, hydration, and reduce signs of aging like wrinkles.
• Collagen in gelatin helps promote stronger, healthier hair & nails.
• Gelatin contains amino acids like glycine and proline, which support joint cartilage, reduce stiffness and enhance mobility.
• The amino acids in gelatin can soothe and strengthen the gut lining, supporting digestion and reducing inflammation.
• Glycine, found in gelatin, improves sleep quality.
• Gelatin provides a source of collagen and protein, which are key for bone strength and repair.
• A great low calorie way to increase your protein intake.
Tips for Making Gelatin Gummies
Add extra benefits by including ingredients like:
• Vitamin C for immunity and better collagen absorption.
• Fruit juices for flavor and antioxidants.
• Honey or maple syrup for natural sweetness.
Ingredients:
• 1.5 cups milk, coconut water or juice of your choice
• 4 Tbsp grass-fed gelatin
• Honey or maple syrup (to taste)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over your preferred liquid and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. This helps the gelatin absorb the liquid and dissolve better.
2. Pour the bloomed gelatin and liquid into a saucepan. Heat gently on low, stirring constantly until the gelatin fully dissolves (don’t let it boil).
3. Stir in honey or maple syrup to sweeten. Mix until everything is smooth and lump free.
4. Pour the mixture into silicone molds or a dish. Place in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours or until fully set.
5. Pop the gummies out of the molds or cut into squares if set in a dish. Store in the fridge for up to a week!

IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH – nanami kento
Tumblr media
a/n: sorry for the inactivity, exams have been kicking my ass
contents: nanami is starting to get old. he used to be able to withstand nights of drinking until he passed out and the subsequent work day, but now the a/c gives him a cold. tags: sfw, enstablished relationship, married au, non sorcerer au, fem!reader, talks of snot and fever, unbelievably self indulgent.
unbelievable. un-believable. you knew something was wrong when nanami had made himself a cup of chamomile tea with a spoonful of honey the night before. he had told you he was just tired from work, but – realistically – who wants to have hot tea in the middle of july? he had been clearig his throat way too often before going to bed, and he looked like he was struggling to swallow whatever food you offered.
after years of marriage you knew better than to ask him about it, he'd only deny feeling unwell. so you do the next best thing: slip him a tablet for his sore throat with the usual vitamins he takes every night. he fell asleep almost instantly, his body already tired from fighting off the illness. he unintentionally woke you up at around 4am from blowing his nose a little too hard, causing him to cough into the tissue.
he struggled to fall asleep again after that, tossing and turning every couple of minutes, no doubt from not being able to breathe properly. it's in that precise moment (5:33am) when you decide that he's taking the day off tomorrow. he's an icredibly responsible worker, he has more than enough sick days accumulated to be able to use at least one.
you wake up before him – miraculously, considering how little sleep you got – and make him some breakfast as quietly as possible. you decided not to turn off his alarm clock because you knew he would not listen to you and simply rush straight to work if you had done that. so you opt to set the table and place the freshly squeezed orange and ginger juice next to his green tea and a bowl of honey-banana oatmeal.
you hear the familiar beeping of the alarm clock as you're pouring yourself a cup of coffee, and patiently wait for your husband to come into the kitchen. you must be lost in thought because you almost don't notie him until he rests his head on your shoulder and tries to stifle a cough.
"morning," he groggily says.
"sweetheart," you coo while turning to face him, "did you have trouble sleeping? i heard you coughing at some point. here," you place your coffee down on the counter and raise your hand to his forehead, "let me see."
you almost gasp at the heaviness of his eyelids and the unusual warmth of his forehead.
"kento, you look ill," and he knows you're serious, you never call him by his name.
"i feel fine," he tries, but he knows that it's useless. he doesn't feel too bad, just congested. and he has a headache. and his throat is killing him. he can power through.
"have some breakfast and go back to bed, i'll text your boss and bring you some medicine after," he can't even protest, the thought of having to get ready and go into that cold, cold office where his cubicle is inches away from the a/c sending chills down his spine. not like his protests would matter much, regardless, as you're already sprinting to his phone. so he sits down, alternates between sipping his tea and the juice you had made him (the ginger burns his throat but he forces himself to swallow). he tries to eat most of the oatmeal but his stomach just doesn't agree with him, so he leaves a little less than half of it in the bowl.
he's a good man, tidies up after himself even when oh so horribly sick, and goes back to bed. once you hear the rustling of the covers you know you've succeded. you exit the bathroom, a smidge of eye cream unblended on your cheek, and hand him a glass of water and some ibuprofen. you make sure he has enough tissues by the bed and leave him a bottle of cough syrup and a spoon on his nightstand. you tuck the comforter all the way up his chin and grab some clothes to get ready for work.
once you're ready you come back into the bedroom and almost decide to leave without giving him a kiss in fear of disturbing his rest. you opt against that, knowing how unusually whiny your husband gets when he's sick. so you place a gentle hand on his arm and leave a peck on his forehead.
"i'll try to be back for lunch," you whisper, "but if i don't make it there should be some leftovers in the fridge if you feel up to it."
he groans in response as you make your way to your shoe rack, a barely audible "love you" from him painting a smile on your lips as you quietly close the door.

Love and Kisses
〘Prompt 20 Alt- Forehead Kisses〙
〘Notes- Hello my dears! Despite my best efforts (and believe me, they were borderline extreme) I've managed to get myself sick and man am I pissed about it. However, it does give me an excuse to write sickfics in self pity!〙
〘Summary- Apparently forehead kisses replace thermometers.〙
〘Word Count- 1k〙
〘Pairing- WandaNat x Sick Reader〙
〚Main Masterlist〛⌶〚Sicktember Masterlist〛
Tumblr media
“Morning Y/n/n!” Wanda chirped, setting a plate loaded with eggs, bacon, and blueberry pancakes down in front of you. Natasha sat in the chair beside you, stuffing her face with the salty, sugary, sticky breakfast. Blueberry pancakes were a favorite of hers and she would eat as many as she could physically hold each time Wanda made them.
Normally, you’d be just as excited about the extravagant meal, but today your cheesy scrambled eggs and syrup coated bacon didn’t look at all appetizing. Maybe it was the aches that had settled in your bones, the soreness in your throat or the congestion settling in your sinuses. Whichever symptom it was, you hated it.
Wanda was singing quietly to herself as she flipped a few more pancakes, tossing three onto her own plate. Her meal was void of eggs, she hated them with a burning passion, and the bacon was carefully separated so no syrup would touch the meat.
She took her seat across from you at the table, nudging you with an elbow before beginning to pick at her own meal. She’d seen the look on your face when you came into the kitchen, the little scowl that always appeared when you weren’t feeling well. It was accompanied by bleary eyes, a red raw nose, and slightly parted lips. She could tell that you couldn’t breathe properly though you were trying to pretend that you were fine.
The three of you sat in relative silence as Wanda and Natasha ate, while you simply stirred your eggs around on your plate. You wanted to be hungry, to eat the probably delicious food in front of you, but the pain in your throat was demanding that you didn’t swallow anything.
Despite that, you reached for the glass of orange juice and chugged it, relying on the lovely powers of vitamin c to get the job done. You sensed a lot of orange juice in your near future. Orange juice and cough drops.
Natasha, who had been eying your uneaten pancakes, raised an eyebrow and looked over at Wanda who was staring at you, mouth agape. The redhead hummed quietly and took your hand, prompting you to set the fork down. It wasn’t like you were eating anyway and they didn’t seem to be falling for your “mix it around the plate” technique.
You cleared your throat quietly and glanced at the assassin, half expecting to be belittled. She tended to scold you when you did something that wasn’t good for your health, and this probably qualified as one of those things.
A sudden wave of cold crashed over you and you shivered violently, pulling your hand away to wrap your arms around your chest. There was that fever you had been expecting, arriving in full force as it typically did. You always got terrible fevers when you were sick.
“Y/n, c’mere babe.” Natasha ordered, beckoning you to her with a little wave. You rolled your eyes (ow, headache) and leaned towards her, not entirely sure what her plan was.
You certainly weren’t expecting her to kiss your forehead and grab your face to hold you there as she tried to gauge your temperature. The young woman pulled back after a few seconds and frowned, looking to Wanda with a worried expression as she did.
She cupped your cheeks in her calloused hands, her face not changing.
“She’s on fire. Y/n, when did you start to feel sick?” she demanded, stroking your cheekbone with a thumb. You rather enjoyed the affection, her touch light and comforting. The look your witch was giving you was not one that you enjoyed however, she was glaring.
“I dunno. Few hours.” You croaked in response, the first words you’d said all morning. The brunette’s eyebrows quirked up at the sound of your voice, alarmed by how strange you sounded.
“Well, I for one find that hard to believe, you look pretty bad for only being sick a few hours. Try again.” she ordered, pushing her chair out to come to your side. She took your face out of Natasha’s hands and repeated the gesture, kissing your forehead with soft lips.
“I’ve felt off all week, but this is the worst it’s been.” You leaned into her touch; her cool hands felt nice against your hot skin. The brunette hummed her worry and pulled your head against her chest, combing her fingers though your hair. Her nails danced across your scalp; it was as if she was intentionally trying to lull you to sleep.
Natasha stood too and put a hand on your shoulder, squeezing gently.
“Alright sicky, let’s go back up to bed. You’re already in your pjs so we won’t even need to change.” She sighed, leaning down to kiss the top of your head. You were pretty sure that the second you left your food alone she’d be finishing your pancakes, but you didn’t want them anyway.
“You have to make me soup. ‘nd I want cuddles.” You grumbled, yelping as Natasha picked you up as if you were a princess in one of those Disney movies. You nestled your head under her chin and let out a kittenish sneeze, whining into her clavicle.
“I’ll make your favorite, while Natasha gives you cuddles.” Wanda placated, taking one of your hands. You allowed yourself a little smile as you coughed into the redhead’s shirt, feeling a bit guilty for spreading your germs. She didn’t seem to mind however, in fact she held you closer as she carried you up the stairs, smiling to herself.
In that moment, carrying you in her arms, she found your vulnerability adorable. Natasha looked back at Wanda, pleased to see that the witch was wearing a similar grin. She leaned over and pressed a quick kiss to the Sokovian woman’s temple before carrying you into the bedroom, preparing for a day of sniffles and complaints.
Wanda walked back to the kitchen and pulled out a pot, leaving the kitchen dirty as she prepared to make your favorite soup. These woman would truly do anything for you.

Modern farmers and landowners, however, are prejudiced against scrub because it is considered unproductive. As a result it has been almost entirely eradicated from Britain. Scrubland is almost ubiquitously described as wasteland. It was not always so. In medieval times, scrub species were highly valued, and scrub was anything but a dirty name. The iron-rod stems of blackthorn were used for walking sticks and its fruit – sloes – for medicines and flavouring wine and gin. Brambles, like elder, produce edible berries that were also useful for dyes. Hawthorn makes good walking sticks, as well as tool handles, and was used for stock-proofing, and produces hawberries for preserves and sauces. Hazel was for hurdles, thatching spars, basketry, furniture and charcoal; willow for charcoal-making and basketry, cricket bats and medicine. Charcoal from alder and dogwood made gunpowder. Broom, of course, made excellent brooms. Juniper was for smoking meats and making pencils, its berries for distilling oil, and flavouring game and gin. Spindle was for skewers, toothpicks and baskets. Wych elm made bows, furniture and threshing floors. Birch provided cotton reels and bobbins, firewood, brooms and roofing thatch; its bark was for waterproofing and tanning. Birch wine, fermented from sap, was used as medicine and young birch leaves were a diuretic. From the dog rose came rosehips – which we now know are exceptionally high in vitamin C – for syrups, sauces and jellies. Gorse – known as ‘furze’ in Sussex – was fodder for animals and fuel for kilns and ovens. A buffer of thorny scrub was often encouraged around woodland to prevent the ingress of grazing animals. Place names like Thorndon, Thornden, Thornbury, Haslemere, Hazeldon, Spindleton, Hathern (hawthorn), Hatherdene, Brambleton, Barnham Broom, Broomhill, Broompark, pepper the map of Britain. Our own field names at Knepp recall the days when scrub was an asset – Benton’s Gorse, Broomers Corner, Broom Field, High Reeds, Cooper Reeds, Faggot Stack Plat, Bramble Field, Rushett’s, Rushall Field, Little Thornhill, Great Thornhill, Stub Mead, Barcover Furzefield, Swallows Furzefield, Coates’ Furzefield, Greenstreet Furzefield, Constable’s Furze, Pollardshill Furze, Old Furze Field, Furzefield Plat, Great Furzefield and lots of Little Furzefields.

Homemade ginger ale!!! The only significant source of calories is the maple syrup which adds up to only 55 calories for the entire recipe ✨️
Ginger is fantastic for digestive health, lemon juice gives a vitamin C boost, and 100% pure maple syrup offers antioxidants that other sweeteners don't 💛

Hi! So i completely forgot if i sent you a request already, and if i did, i'm sorry! If not, I am having the worst stomach ache right now and it's the end of my period :( -- I know this trope is very common, and you may have written something like this already, but if you haven't, may I request König taking care of the reader during this time?
Pairing: König x reader
Authors note: I changed it up a little to be gender neutral, so sorry it's not the exact prompt.
König takes care of you when you get sick.
You woke up and felt the scratch in your throat. A stinging, painful, hoarse feeling that something was coming. You already dreaded the day. You had hoped you would feel better by taking a hot shower to try to open your sinuses but it seemed too late. You were getting sick.
You tried to mentally retrace your steps, seeing how or who could’ve got you sick, but it didn't matter, it was coming on strong.
You continued your morning drinking tea, having vitamin c, having liquids to try and flush out whatever was inside you, but at no prevail, you felt your nose start to run.
Great. The second symptom had already come. You walked toward the living room. No König, perhaps he was still at the gym.
The rest of the day was a blur, you tried to occupy yourself with work, but the headache that accompanied your runny nose came. You put your laptop down, took a deep breath, and set an away message on your emails.
This was coming on strong and mentally you weren’t prepared for it. When was the last time you got sick? You hated being sick.
You messaged König to ask where he was and to pick up some things from the pharmacy.
“Are you sick?” came through text.
“I think i’m coming down with something, I’ll go home if you want me to,”
“Nonsense, I’ll be there soon.”
You went to the couch and wrapped yourself in the blanket you had brought over from your house to his. His house had started collecting things from you, things he insisted would be necessary to keep at his.
“How are you feeling?” he asked softly.
“I’m fine” you answered, “I just need to kill this before it gets worse.”
He looked down at you and mumbled, “maybe this is the sign of working too hard? You know you need to take a rest every now and then from that company of yours.”
You smiled, “I’m going to get better soon, don’t worry.”
But by the time it was already dinner time, settling on the couch after eating dinner, you felt the fatigue coming on. Eyelids heavy from exhaustion, body running hot, other parts cold, and ears blocked off. You settled into the couch away from him, wrapped yourself in your blanket and dozed off.
You woke up to a large hand feeling your forehead.
“Scheiße! (Shiza) You are burning up”.
You didn’t say anything. You could feel the heat surrounding your body, from your toes to your head, you felt awful.
König had started to panic. When was the last time he was sick? He got cold water from the fridge and brought it to you with some medicine.
“Come on sicko, take the medicine”
You had whimpered, there was definite pain surrounding your body, moving your body right now wasn't a choice. He saw how flushed you looked, sweaty and sticky.
You begin to cry.
“I-I feel so awful.” Hot tears came down from your face and a sharp knife had gutted him because he had no idea on what to do on how to make you feel better.
“Once you take the medicine you’ll feel better, okay? You gotta take this first.”
You sipped on the cough syrup and drank the warm water he gave you. Still hiccuping about how awful you felt.
He walked over to the kitchen and got a kitchen towel, wrangled it under cold water, placing the towel on your head.
The coolness of the towel had helped your dull headache, made your face feel cooler.
He started to remember all the things his mom used to do when he would stay home “sick” from the bullies.
He goes over to the kitchen, starts making soup. He always has the ingredients, makes a mental note of the time you took your meds.
You doze off, fatigue winning the battle in your body. You feel cold, but your body is burning up. He replaces the towel and at midnight he wakes you up to take more medicine.
“Come on little mouse, every 6 hours to kill this.”
You’re woken up, your hair sticking out, matted by the sweat, your clothes feel sticky, and you’re not about to fall asleep this way.
“I need a shower.”
“A shower?” He says quietly, unsure if that’s the best decision for you right now.
“Yes I need one, I'm all sticky.”
He doesn’t want to fight with you but he suggests not washing your hair. A memory from his mom saying “wet hair will only get you more sick.”
He picks you up, there’s a small warmth coming from his body and it’s when you know you’re fucked because he’s always as hot as a space heater.
He sets you down in bed, runs a hot bath. The way you clutch at him only certifies you are freezing.
He carefully undresses you, before pulling back your hair attempting to cover it with a towel-like headband. He sets you in, you’re still clutching at his neck, as he bathes you, making sure you can feel the water down your neck. He grabs a washcloth, suds it up with soap, gently cleaning where you’re probably sweating. Your neck, your armpits, down your legs, then proceeds to really wash you.
He leaves for a second, just to turn on the heater so that you’re not hit by the cold, he also sets a humidifier in the room.
He picks you up, you’re so limp, tired, his shirt is wet. He dries you off gently, putting on your underwear and one of his big t-shirts.
You feel fresh, like the water had taken most of the icky feeling from your body. He takes you to bed gently covering you with his bedsheets, picking up your hair away from your face. You suddenly can breathe a lot better now, maybe it's the eucalyptus he put in the humidifier. The meds are kicking in, slowly lulling you to sleep.
König settles in next to you, petting your face, brushing away the hair. He's worried, it's not like you to cry, or moan about pain. It's not like you to get sick.
The next morning when you wake up, he's got your meds ready, a bowl of chicken and rice soup, and water.
He checks in on you every 2 hours, luckily your fever is going down. He still make you drink vitamin c, broth, and water. He has a strict schedule with your cough syrup. He doesn't like seeing you like this.
*
Two days later, when you're feeling back to your normal self, you approach him from behind with a big hug. Grateful, happy, and just feeling blessed that someone like him is here with you.
"Thank you for taking care of me." you say towards the back of his neck.
He blushes, turns around to face you.
"Are you feeling better?" His big hands roam your face, he can see some glow to your face, your eyes are much brighter too.
"Jesus schatz, you had me scared there for a minute. I don't like it when you don't feel good."
You sniffle a bit, your runny nose at the end point of sickness.
"I know, but thank you for taking care of me."
He scoffs, shaking his head.
"What are boyfriends for?"
