JUNE 21 2024- The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Texas) is calling on law enforcement authorities to investigate the attempted murder of a Palestinian mother and her two young children as a hate crime.
On May 19th, a Texas woman attempted to drown two Palestinian children and their mother in a pool. The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-Texas) is calling on law enforcement authorities to investigate the incident as a hate crime.
"The alleged attack (Euless PD report 24-00022036) reportedly occurred on Sunday, May 19th, at the family’s apartment complex swimming pool area.  Mrs. H, the mother, who wears hijab (Islamic head scarf) and modest swimwear, was watching her children in the shallow end of the pool when a White American woman entered the swimming pool area." "The alleged attacker reportedly approached the mother with racist interrogations then jumped into the swimming pool and grabbed the children to the deep end of the pool to allegedly drown them." "The mother reported jumping into the pool to save her children. According to the mother, her 6-year-old-son was able to escape, but her petite 3-year-old daughter was unable. The alleged attacker snatched off the mother’s head scarf and used it to beat the mother as well as kicking her to keep her away while forcing her daughter’s head underwater." "Mrs. H stated that an African American man helped rescue her daughter from the attacker and more people gathered and witnessed. Cuffed and taken away by the police officer, the attacker reportedly shouted to a bystander woman who was calming the mother down “Tell her I will kill her, and I will kill her whole family.”
"A recent CAIR report says it received more than 8,000 complaints of anti-Muslim and anti-Palestinian in 2023 – a 56% increase over previous year - and the highest the number has been in 28 years"

Education Prevents Violence
Trying to censor your child's education creates an automatic environment for violence and revolting. They will either prove you wrong by doing their research or hurt somebody because you misguided them. Kids need to learn about other people's worlds outside their own.

...i begging yall do not get desensitised to reading these. this is horrific. this is evil. children... were shredded... SHREDDED. do you understand what that means? do you get how evil someone has to be to do that to another person? can you process that sheer malevolence and wickedness it would take to do that??!! to a child?!?!!!
"Al Jazeera's Hani Mahmoud from Rafah, southern Gaza: About seven people, a mother and her children were killed earlier today. We’ve seen video from the hospital where their bodies were taken. The children’s bodies arrived in plastic bags. They were shredded in the air strike on the home. The only survivor of the attack is the father.
"This pattern of killing entire families is nothing new after nearly seven months of war. Entire families have been obliterated in Israeli air strikes. Just in the past 30 minutes, there was a strike at the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. We’re trying to get more updates on that attack." from Al Jazeera English, 03/May/2024:

If people in a position of authority are using calls of antisemitism to make mass arrests and justify police brutality, then I think it’s safe to say they don’t care about the safety of Jews and only about defending a colonial and neo-liberal status quo. Especially when Jews are disproportionately represented among arrestees.

July 11 2024 - The murder of Palestinian children under Israeli occupation is an almost weekly occurrence. Under apartheid, Israeli soldiers, police, and settlers are rarely held accountable.
14-year-old Ali Hasan Ali Rabaya was murdered by Israeli Armed Forces in the Palestinian village of Maithaloun, south of Jenin, Occupied West Bank.
The IOF opened fire on him from inside a heavily armored military vehicle from a distance of 20 to 40 meters (65 to 131 feet) away. After Israeli forces shot him, Ali ran about three meters (10 feet) before collapsing to the ground. Israeli forces continued firing in Ali’s direction, striking at least five other Palestinian children, including a 13-year-old boy who was seriously injured in the chest and legs. Continued Israeli military fire prevented Palestinian residents from reaching Ali for about five minutes. When the Israeli military vehicles withdrew, a private car brought Ali to the Turkish Governmental Hospital in Tubas, where he was pronounced dead around 5:35 p.m.
His accused crime, that armed forces in heavily armored tanks felt so threatened by that they opened fire into a crowd of children, was throwing stones.
Under international law, intentional lethal force is only justified in circumstances where a direct threat to life or of serious injury is present. However, investigations and evidence collected by DCIP regularly suggest that Israeli forces use lethal force against Palestinian children in circumstances that may amount to extrajudicial or willful killings.
Israeli forces and settlers have killed 56 Palestinian children in the occupied West Bank in 2024, including two United States citizens, according to documentation collected by DCIP.  137 Palestinian children have been killed in the occupied West Bank since October 7.
Source: Defense for Children International - Palestine
While Israel claims internationally to be a "normal western liberal democracy," how does a "normal liberal democracy" allow shooting into a crowd of children for throwing stones at the illegal occupier's heavily armored tanks?
What "normal liberal democracy" allows soldiers to shoot children from heavily armored tanks and drive away, leaving them lying bleeding, injured and dead in the street for bystanders to pick up and carry in their private cars to the hospital? Hospitals which are often separated by walls and checkpoints that can take hours to get through.
Decades of systemic impunity has normalized violence against the occupied Palestinians and emboldened Israeli forces to kill Palestinian children without second thought, knowing they will never be held accountable in courts that favor them.

ZIONIST SOLDIER ABUSES A PALESTINIAN CIVILIAN AT AN ISRAELI CHECKPOINT

Clearly Palestinians have "democratic" rights inside the occupied Palestinian territories.

love when u see someone being like “ugh i can’t believe this celebrity is a radical zionist. blocking them on everywhere and sending a pipe bomb to their house” and then u find out what they said nd it’s something like “israel’s actions are abhorrent and should not be tolerated under any circumstances. as well as this please be kind to your jewish friends during this spike in antisemitism and also remember to not support terrorist organisations who explicitly claim to want all jews dead just because they hate israel. i pray the violence stops soon <3”

I recently found out that Native People in the American continent have their own name for it, which is Abya Yala.
Anyway, wouldn't it be nice if we started to support their right for self determination and freedom from the oppression of colonial rule? Wouldn't it be nice if we support the complete and immediate abolition of all colonizer countries, which are *checks notes* every single country in the American continent plus the island ones? Wouldn't it be nice if we started telling all the settlers, conquistadors and immigrants to Go Back To Where They Came From? Wouldn't it be nice if we started chanting in the streets and online for the cleansing of the continent from all non-Native people? Wait, that sounds kind of extreme, doesn't it? But what if it rhymed? Everyone knows that if it rhymes it's true and justified right? So maybe the American continent should be free, you know, maybe from shore to shore... no, no. From sea to sea, that's it! What a great cause! And great causes are worth fighting for by all means, right? Obviously, I do not support violence at all, but like wouldn't it be justified if Native People were to become violent in their fight for freedom? I mean, think of the history for a moment, what brought them to this moment? And could you blame them? After all, shouldn't freedom be fought for by all means necessary? Wouldn't you support their claim?
Anyway.
From Sea To Shiny Sea Abya Yala Will Be Free.

Today is World Children’s Day. It has been truly disheartening and disappointing to see the child protection sector remain silent on what experts of international law are calling “a war on children.”
The child protection sector has a long history depoliticizing why children experience unspeakable violence in the first place, and this refusal to name the structures of violence has never been more conspicuous.
We’re seeing government leaders have nonsensical debates about social media bans, while literally witnessing the daily murder of Palestinian children on social media begging for our empathy, and attacking young adults with moral clarity who hold our powerful institutions to account.
Adult supremacy over children’s autonomy, deciding which children to humanize and protect, is the bedrock of political violence. That the child protection community has been absent in naming this is appalling.
Tech’s complicity in this genocide is inarguable. Technologies of surveillance aid and abet the indiscriminate killing of Palestinian children, women, and men. The same tools that trust and safety professionals work hard to sanitize so they can be deployed to monitor and murder.
AJ put out this gut wrenching article on the martyred children of Gaza. Reading this, I cannot help but wonder what the point of a “world children’s day” is when we so flagrantly enable total dehumanization of young people.
