CW: child whumper (sidekick), mentions of previous abuse. (If you find any more CWs I’ve missed, please tell me!)
Villain was feeling great. Todays plan had gone perfectly and now hero’s own sidekick was tied to a chair in front of them. Poor sidekick probably had no idea where they were, Villain smirked.
‘I bet your praying hero is going to show up and save you. I assure you they won’t. They don’t even know where my lair is; besides, do you really think they’ll go through all the effort just to save their stupid little sidekick who got themselves kidnapped?’
Sidekick was shaking. Terrified. Now completely at the villains mercy, their identity was going to be revealed, they just knew it. And then it wouldn’t just be sidekick that will die, but their loved ones too. Hero has told sidekick about villain. Sidekick knew villain was a ruthless killer. Their fear mixed with their guilt for having endangering not only themselves but their friends too. Hero would be so disappointed in sidekick. Villain was right, hero would never bother to save them. It was their own fault that they had messed up and gotten themselves kidnapped.
Villain crouched down and reached out to sidekicks face-
‘Let’s see who’s under this disguise- which I must say, is rather pathetic. Could you not have come up with a better costume for yourself?’, villain joked.
-Sidekick flinched away, but villain swiftly grabbed sidekicks mask and roughly pulled it off their face.
‘I bet you’re-‘,
The villains grin dropped along with their stomach. This was not what they were expecting. Rage shook through villain. Sidekicks face showed nothing but absolute fear.
‘A child. You’re just a child’
Villains face softened as they tried to hide their anger from the kid that sat before them. Hero had sent a child to fight them. A child. How could hero do this? And who was responsible for sidekicks black eye? Villain knew it wasn’t them. Was it hero? When villain got their hands on them-
But that could be dealt with later. Villain needed to focus on the terrified face in front of them.
‘I’m not a child. I’m 15’
‘Who told you that was old? Was it hero? You can’t even drink yet, darling. You’re a child.
And to be clear, I am not going to hurt you. I know hero’s probably told you horrible lies about me, but I can assure you, they’re not true… at least most of them aren’t true. But I would never intentionally hurt a child’
Sidekick was shocked by the softness of villains voice, which was completely different from the roughness it had been filled with 2 seconds ago. It was just an act. It had to be. Sure, hero could be harsh to sidekick, but sidekick deserved it right? Hero was just training sidekick.
‘Are you hungry? Injured? Let me patch you up’
Villain gently brushed sidekicks hair out their face to get a better look at the purple bruises forming on their forehead. Sidekick flinched away from the hand, letting out a small whimper.
That was it. Villain vowed they would destroy hero next time they saw them. But first, they have got to help the poor kid.

This was my first time writing something like this, so any feedback and help would be appreciated. In fact, it think this is the first time I’ve written a story outside an English lesson (which I haven’t done as a subject since GCSE’s) since I wrote a short Harry Potter headcanon when I was 12 lol. I still remember that headcanon tho, and I’m pretty sure it might still be on tumblr somewhere 🫡

Prompt 416
"Wow." The hero gave a low whistle, staring up at the villain's new lair. "That's some tower."
The sidekick swiveled their binoculers. "Probably filled with booby traps and security guards."
"It's so big." The hero hadn't looked away from the mesmerizing - and bulging - top of the tower. "Freud would say he's compensating for something."

Here's a little Hero/Villain whump prompt :P
Cw: Minor whumpee, Child whumpee, bruises, kidnapping, restraints
Everything was bathed in pitch black when Whumpee had opened their eyes. They sat on a cold ground, back against the wall and felt the bounds wrapped tightly around their thin wrists. With the smell of a basement rising into their nose, they wept quietly what only came out as a muffled whine as their mouth was covered by some thick tape. Whumpee tried to struggle helplessly and panic stricken had looked around, trying to recognize where they were right now.
They didn't remember much. Only that they had been knocked over by something, losing their consciousness right after. They had been on a mission with Hero and that was also the last thing they remembered. And Whumpee didn't know how long they had been here.
The noise of a heavy metal door opening with a loud creak and some steps coming closer suddenly echoed in the room, scaring the poor child only more.
A light from the hallway shining through the door blended Whumpee as their eyes had completely adjusted to the darkness and further muffled sounds mixed with sheer fear of the one that approached them. The dark silhouette kneeled down in front of Whumpee, ripping off the tape from their mouth to which they reacted in a whimper. A pair of eyes stared directly into the child's terrified face, studying them with a stoic glance. And only then Whumpee recognized them. It was Villain.
Another almost inaudible whine escaped the child's throat, when Villain grabbed their wrists. They knew what Villain was capable of. Hero had told them countless times how they had slaughtered so many innocent lives just for fun. They were ruthless, sadistic, pure evil.
During their training sessions, Whumpee remembered, Hero used to tell them these stories while they had beaten up the little defenseless child. Hero always said it was for their own good and only this way they could learn what it meant to be a true hero. No pain, no gain was their favorite saying that seemed to have burned into Whumpee's mind since.
And now they were in Villain's clenches and scared to the core. Whumpee already imagined how they would torture them while laughing viciously, only to kill them afterwards anyway. But then they felt the bounds on their wrists loosend, being cut through by Villain's knife.
As if that wasn't confusing enough, now followed something Whumpee had never expected to hear from their mouth.
"Have you eaten today, kid?"
After some hesitation Whumpee instinctly shook their head and Villain handed them some food afterwards. They stared a while at it, then again back at Villain who raised an eyebrow, indicating them to eat. Whumpee didn't take long and accepted the food silently, eating all up.
Villain watched them patiently without any other word. They winced though when Villain's fingers tucked under their chin, forcing the child to look at them. But instead of hurting them like Whumpee expected, they turned their face a bit to the side, revealing some dark bruises on the child's neck and shoulders.
"Did they do this to you?" Villain asked sternly but not mean or in any spiteful tone. Their voice sounded almost concerned. "Hero?"
Whumpee tried to avoid their look but failed as the fingers still held up their chin, making it impossible for them to turn away. But Villain knew the answer all along. They knew how Hero had treated Whumpee. And they knew exactly what Hero told the child about them. So their reaction was only justified.
The child nodded slightly and the hand finally let go off Whumpee's chin. And the next thing they felt confused them even more. Villain laid a soft blanket over their delicate shoulders, their hand resting gently on their back.
"Relax, kid, I ain't gonna hurt you." Villain added when Whumpee reacted with another flinch.
"Y-you don't?" Their voice quivered as their little body still shivered in a mix of cold and fear.
Villain didn't answer but helped the child getting up, giving them a bit of support on their shaky legs.
"But I don't understand... Hero used to tell me you're evil." Whumpee chirped confused, leaving Villain in right with their only assumption about them.
"Didn't you ever think that maybe they were the bad guy all the time?" Villain retorted. "And put all the blame on me?"
Whumpee didn't know what to say anymore.
Yes, it's true that Hero had always blamed Villain for their misery, making them the scapegoat. And Whumpee also had to learn that Villain is no one to trust, that they want to kill them whenever they crossed their ways.
But why did Villain act so caring now? Was this all just a trick? Hero wouldn't have lied to them, or would they?
Standing on wobbly legs Whumpee soon felt their strength giving in. They were so confused and too tired to think about this more. They just wanted to sleep. And as if Villain would've read their thoughts, they eventually lead the child to the door with their hand still resting on their back.
"C'mon, kiddo. You must be very exhausted. You can take my bed for tonight."

day one of humbly requesting you to continue nuisance
Hi anon! Thank you for the humble request! ^-^
Nuisance (Part 6)
Part 1 / Part 5
Hero was trapped. And they were trapped with a kid.
They didn't know what caused the earthquake that made this building collapse, but when the ground started shaking while they were out on patrol, they grabbed the nearest civillian and covered them.
When the dust settled and the shaking stopped, they blinked to let their eyes adjust to the darkness, and looked down at the person squirming in their arms.
"...Oh. You're Villain's kid." It took them a moment to realize why this girl looked so familiar, but they were sure of it now. How long had it been since they last saw her with Villain? A few weeks? Perhaps a month or two at most? How fast did kids grow?
She removed herself from Hero's arms and drew herself up as much as she could in the cramped space. They were lucky they ended up in this pocket within the rubble instead of crushed underneath the chunks of debri. "And what if I am?" The little nuisance wasn't looking quite so little anymore, but she certainly kept the attitude Hero remembered.
Hero leaned back and exhaled slowly. They didn't take offense to the challenge in her tone. They had other things to focus on. Like how to get out of here.
After determining that there was no way to move the rubble themself without ruining the fragile stability that happened to be keeping them both alive, Hero returned their attention to her. Although they were trapped, she didn't seem panicked at all. If anything, she was far calmer than any adult Hero had had to rescue.
"You don't seem scared. Are you alright?" Everyone expressed fear differently. Hero might not be great with kids, and this one might have an unusual liking for villainous characters, but they did still know how to do their job.
She gave them a look that Hero was very familiar with. It was reminiscent of Villain's favorite expression - the one that let Hero know they were being judged. Heavily. "Duh. I'm just waiting."
"Waiting? For what?"
The child scoffed. "What do you think?"
Hero frowned. Was she waiting for rescue? Hero couldn't put a call through - there was no signal here - but she seemed confident that something would happen soon.
A beat passed before they attempted to assure her. "I'm sure someone will be looking for us. It might take some time for a team to find us-"
"I'm not waiting for one of you," she cut them off bluntly. "Heroes suck. You even blew up my house once."
That gave Hero pause. It was true some of their coworkers could be a bit reckless. They couldn't blame a child for seeing things that way if they were affected so directly. "I'm...sorry to hear that," they said seriously. "I promise we are doing our best to protect you. But sometimes destruction like that is unavoidable."
"Oooor you're just bad at your job." She scoffed, small fists planted on her hips as she glared Hero down. The image would have been just a bit more intimidating if she didn't stick her tongue out too.
Nevertheless, Hero's face burned a little with embarrassment. At least they could be sure now that that sharp tongue of hers didn't come from Villain's influence.

hidden scars
warnings: (implied) past abuse, child whumpee
characters: villain, sidekick
1020 words
a/n: this was in my drafts as needing a part two, but i probably won’t end up doing that. have it as is!
---
Sidekick falls to the ground, air pushed out of their lungs as their back hits the soft ground. Villain advances, glaring menacingly at their small frame.
Sidekick tries to sit up, trying to gain some control over their body, but the pain in their ribcage stops them. Instead, they curl in on themself, sheltering their stomach with their shins.
Villain crouches down to face them and whispers, “I’ve got you now, Sidekick. No more running. No more hiding.”
They hold Sidekick’s wrist gently and pull them up, trying their hardest not to aggravate any of their new wounds.
Sidekick looks at them uncertainly, “Why are you being so…gentle?”
Villain laughs, “I can hardly in good conscience take you to be tortured for information if you’re injured before we even arrive.” they sling an arm around Sidekick’s waist and start walking. “Besides, you’re only a child. Most of your torture will be psychological.”
Sidekick laughs dryly, “Oh, goodie.”
Villain smiles and picks up the pace, not failing to notice how Sidekick favors their left leg and winces when they adjust the arm holding them up. They choose to ignore it for now.
As soon as they got to the car, Sidekick had crawled to the back seat and hadn’t moved since. Villain sat in the seat in front of them, in an attempt to gain their trust. Villain would have thought they were sleeping, but they could see Sidekick’s eyes wide open.
“Tell me, Sidekick, why do you work for Hero? What does he do for you?” Villain asks.
Sidekick turns to face the window. Villain thinks for a moment that Sidekick won’t tell them, but then they speak.
“Hero… saved my life a long time ago. And I didn’t have anywhere else to go. He took me in and I owe it to him to do what he wants.” They close their eyes and lean their forehead against the cold glass. “Besides, there’s not much else I can do.”
For the rest of the long car ride, they sit in silence.
At Villain’s hideout, Henchman opens the car door for Villain and Sidekick, but Sidekick stays in their seat. Villain rolls their eyes and crawls back into the car. They gently touch Sidekick’s arm and they flinch back, hitting their head on the car window. They wince, but say nothing. Villain tilts their head to the side for a moment, but then they reach their arm out for Sidekick to grab.
“We’re here.” They say simply.
Sidekick is shown to their new room, which is more impressive than they were expecting. The ceiling was high and a light hung from it. There was a large window on the wall facing a lake. A queen sized bed was covered in blankets and pillows.
Villain clears their throat and Sidekick quickly turns to look at them.
“I trust you’ll be comfortable. I’ll come back with a change of clothes and some first-aid supplies in a few minutes. Is there anything else I can get you while I get those?”
Sidekick shakes their head, blinking in confusion.
Villain smiles gently and walks out of the room. “I’ll be right back then. I have to lock this door behind me, but that’s just since you’re technically the enemy and a prisoner.”
Sidekick wanders around the room, checking any spots that could be used to hide things, seeing if there’s any chance the window can be opened (there isn’t), and organizing the things on the bed. The door opens and Villain walks in with an armful of clothes and a first-aid kit.
“Here, change. Those clothes look really dirty. I’ll wash them for you.” They throw the bundle of clothes at Sidekick and turn around to let them change.
“Why are you being so kind? Hero told me that you’re cruel.” Sidekick asks.
Villain closes their eyes and tilts their head up. “Just because I do things that go against Hero’s moral code, doesn’t mean I’m a bad person. Hero, of all people, should know that.”
They can hear Sidekick’s sharp breaths as they aggravate wounds and have to fight every instinct in themself to turn around and help. They know that if they’re to gain Sidekick’s trust, they have to move slowly.
“Villain?” Sidekick asks with a small tremor in their voice. “Can I have something with long sleeves?”
“Are you sure? It gets pretty warm here at night.” They turn and see Sidekick. There’s a pile of their clothes on the floor next to them and Villain could swear they saw scars on their arms, but they crossed their arms in front of them too quickly to be sure.
“I’m sure.”
Villain nods. “Ok, well, let me dress your wounds first, then I’ll find something.” “I can do it.”
“Nonsense, I have much more experience than you do in this. Besides, you look like you’re going to pass out. Just sit down and let me.”
Sidekick shakes their head. “I can do it.” They look down, “Please.”
“Alright, but I’ll watch just to make sure you do it alright. Don’t want any of these getting infected.”
They set the first-aid kit on the table and watch as Sidekick cleans their cuts.
“You’re pretty good at that, kid. Where’d you learn?” they chuckle. “Let me guess, Hero makes you patch him up?”
Sidekick grits their teeth, “Not quite.” They hiss as they dab some rubbing alcohol on one of the bigger cuts. Villain tilts their head and Sidekick looks up at them. “I have to dress my own wounds a lot of the time.”
Villain nods, not quite knowing what to say. “I’ll go get you a jacket or something.”
Sidekick sighs as the door closes. They finish bandaging the last major cut and lean their head against the back of the chair. They cross their arms in front of them, trying their best to cover the majority of the scars on their arms, but failing pretty miserably.
Villain comes back into the room and hands Sidekick a large hoodie, trying their best not to stare at the surplus of scars along their skin.

part three the difference plssssss im too emotionally attached
Ig so lol i like this series too
lili-loves-whump presents:
The Difference Pt. 3
1, 2
“What happened next?” Sidekick asked excitedly. They were lounging on the carpet in pjs, with a blanket thrown across them.
Hero smiled softly, looking off towards the window. The sun was setting, turning red. They swept a strand of hair out of their eyes and pursed their lips.
“Well, Sidekick,” they started, “like most, this is a story of tragedy, and death. Are you sure?”
Confusion clouded Sidekick’s eyes, but they nodded all the same. Hero smiled and took a deep breath. This part of the story was always the worst, they thought.
“Well, the little kid left. They didn’t even sleep, just jumped out the window and ran into the night. There was a car, a red one, that swerved to miss them, but the kid couldn’t tell. They’d already caused the Villain pain- just like everyone else in their life. So they did the one thing they knew how to do. Run.
The kid ran, and ran, and ran. Through valleys and under trees. It was near morning by the time they stopped moving, choosing to collapse in a cornfield instead of continuing the steady walk-jog they’d kept through the late hours.
It was hot, and the sun was up, high in the sky. The kid was hungry, pushing sticky strands off his forehead, glistening with half-dried sweat. Everytime they thought of their rumbling stomach, they remembered the cautious kindness of the Villain and teared up. So they ignored their need for food and decided to doze in the corn field.
When Villain woke up, they turned the house upside down looking for their missing child. The living room was destroyed before they remembered the night before.
When they did, they screamed.
Why did you let the child go, they yelled at themselves, you should have made them stay, you sick son of a bitch.
But the kid didn’t think of it like that- they thought they were sparing the Villain more pain. So they trudged on, tired from the heat, stomach growling under the hunger, through the corn field, towards the city border.
They thought, if I can just get to the border, it’ll be fine, I can run away and never see Villain again.
Their feet hurt, blistering from the walk. They’d shedded their shirt long ago, but when night arrived, they began to regret it. Cool breezes swept through the corn, and something croaked and rattled.
Meanwhile, Villain knew that the child was gone, and began to cry again. They felt like they were overreacting, as the child was just a stranger.
But the child was a child.
So, against everything, they went out looking. Scouring the city in the middle of the afternoon wasn’t ideal, but the kid had about 16 hours of a head start. They started towards the border instinctively, desperate to bring the kid home.”

Had an idea listening to some old music on my MP3 player...
Anyone heard "Brand New Friend" by the Yogscast? A Christmas song about a guy adopting a super dog?
That, but it's Cassie adopting Roxy the super dog. They're saving kittens from sharks, going back to school for the PhDs and catching an ice cream a kid dropped! Together!!

Right so this is Blitz or Bee
Tumblr media
They're the sidekick to Wren, one of the heroes in my little universe.
Blitz is 15, they live in the dorms of the training center with the rest of the sidekicks (they're the heroes in training) and they are the one who finds Hyacinth.
Basically, after being told to go look for people trapped under a recently collapsed building, Blitz finds Hyacinth in a meat freezer. They move him and finish their sweep before bringing him back to their dorm and hiding the still unconscious villain under their bed while they complete their daily schedule after being dismissed by Wren.
Later when Hyacinth wakes up under Blitz'z bed, Blitz tries to patch him up not knowing that he's doing a lot worse than he looks. He also isn't saying exactly how he got so hurt and Blitz doesn't want to push it too much.

Caught In The Storm

Theft and Snow
“Well, folks!” said the meteorologist over the radio. “It’s 18:00 on the 15th of April, and it seems like the snowstorm that we’ve been expecting is just about to kick up. The mayor encourages everyone to stay home, and only travel out unless absolutely necessary. It is currently -17 degrees Fahrenheit (-8.33 degrees Celsius), and it’s expected to drop even lower tomorrow –”
The radio fades out as Lukas exits the small shop, two grocery bags in each hand. He shivered as the bitter cold hit him, immediately wanting to do nothing else than to get back to his base as fast as possible. He shot a quick glance down the icy street, the weather was getting so bad that even the usually colorful stores now looked gray and gloomy.
It had been almost five and a half years since he had been expelled from Mirmir Waters University and kicked out by his parents. So he left the country to start his life anew.
Currently, he was living in the city of Boreas and working as a small-time villain but, for the most part, he made and sold machines to local supervillain Lynx. However, he was slowly starting making a name for himself with his own crimes.
But now, it was the middle of winter, so all villains had slowed down crimes for the year, sending the city into an almost standstill as everyone bunkered down and made plans for spring.
Well, almost all…
As he waited for the green light at the busy crosswalk, he was startled by a sudden “GET BACK HERE, CRIMINAL!” from a loud, harsh voice, just as something small flew past him. Immediately, Lukas turned to see who had yelled, only to be pushed aside by one of the local heroes.
Catching himself before he fell over, his eyes shot towards the hero, who was in a mad dash after whatever that thing was that passed him. A smart part of his brain told him to leave it be, that it was late and cold, and to just go home and relax.
But then there was just that little voice in the back, nagging him. Part curiosity, part worry…
‘Who was that? And what on Aiga did they do to get a superhero that mad?’
‘NO! Don’t think about it! It’s not your problem!’
He tried to focus on moving forward, but even as the light turned green, he remained still. But this didn't last long, and he soon muttered “Damn it!” and jumped into a nearby shadow, much to the fear of those around him. He moved quickly in the darkness, teleporting through it, and he didn't have to move far before he found them.
He saw them both running down the alleyway not far from the crosswalk. It was remarkable how fast the small person was, but, from within the shadows, he could see that they were close to being cornered by another hero coming from the other direction.
‘What did you do to get two of them after you?’  Lukas thought as he sped up. ‘If I can just get there fast enough’  he thought as he began closing in on the person.
Then, in a split second, just as the person crossed into one of the many shadows in the alley, he grabbed them.
“Gotcha!” he said in a cheeky voice, as the person tried to scream after the sudden fall, but finding themselves unable to do so in this strange void they were now in.
“But… you’re… you're just a kid?” Lukas said in shock at the little figure that was staring wide-eyed back at him.
“So, they chased you for this?” Lukas asked, almost enraged, as he held the small sandwich that the kid had stolen from a nearby gas station. “How dare they? Calling themselves heroes and then chasing a child like that!”
It had not taken long for the heroes to give up the chase and continue on with their patrol. So he and the kid moved somewhere safer before getting out of the shadow. As he saw the fear in the kid's face, he quickly softened up. “Sorry… I didn't mean to yell, I don’t like it when heroes act like that. Are you hurt?”
The small child, still a bit startled from the shock trip into the shadow, was sitting on some abandoned boxes, and seemed to shrink down even more, before finally nodding.
“Where?” he asked.
“Everything hurts…” they whispered. He couldn't blame them for the vague answer; they looked miserable and in pain, just so small and thin. ‘How did they even manage to outrun two heroes, much less survive this far into the winter? He wondered as he took off his jacket and gently wrapped it around the child’s thin shoulders.
“Kid. We’re at the start of a snowstorm, why are you out here alone?” He did not have time for this, but something in him just wanted to get to the bottom of it.
“WHY DO YOU CARE?” the kid suddenly yelled defensively, more desperate than angry.
“I just need to know whether it’s better to give you back to the heroes or not,” Lukas answered firmly. “You're a kid, and it’s a blizzard. So, I’m sorry, but I’m not just going to let you go like that.”
He looked at them, shivering from… fear? Anger? Cold? He struggled to tell.
Taking a deep breath, he continued more softly, “Why were you out here stealing food?”
The kid looked away, and refused to meet his eyes before answering, “Not like I had a choice…” Lukas’s stomach dropped as he said the same thing the first time he had to steal food. “I ran out of money, it’s been two days since I last ate, what else could I do?”
“Why not go to the police for help?” he asked, already knowing the answer.
“Can’t… They'll send me back to my parents, I don’t want to go back to them! I WON’T GO BACK!” the kid yelled at the brink of tears.
“Okay, okay! Please calm down,” Lukas said, trying to make sure the kid did not do something irrational. “Listen, I won't take you to the police, or the heroes.” Clearly there was a lot going on here that neither had the time to delve into.
But there were some things he wanted to know.
“You’re not local, are you? I can hear it in your accent. Now, I’m not a cop, I don’t need to know why you ran away and from where. But at least tell me, how old are you? And how long have you been on the streets?”
The kid stared at the ground for a few moments. After some time, they said, “I’m 12… and I ran away 3 months ago.”
“Alright…” Lukas said more to himself than to them. “Well, you can stay with me for a while, at least till the storm is over.”
“What? Why?” the kid said, confused. But they were simply met with Lukas picking up the child in his arms. The kid shrank back defensively at first, then quickly realized what the villain was attempting to do. They were hesitant… but eventually relaxed and gave in, now comfortably seated on the villain’s arms.
As Lukas picked them up, he replied to himself internally, ‘NOT BECAUSE I RELATE TO YOU OR ANYTHING!’
But on the outside, he simply replied, “Consider it a favor, from one villain to another. But first, please tell me, what is your name, little villain?”
The kid eyed him strangely, seemingly not too fond of being called a villain. “My parents gave me a name, but I don’t like it or them… So I use Kim now…”
“Well, then, Kim it is. Hello, Kim. My name is Lukas.”
Shower and Sleep
“It’s not that grand.” Lukas said as the two appeared out of the hidden entrance and into the small but warm hideout. “But it’s home.”
It was homely indeed, Kim thought as they felt their cheeks reddening from the warmth finally returned to their body. It certainly didn't feel like it had been built inside an old abandoned warehouse.
They were standing in the living room, which was small and cozy but slightly messy. With a mix of old furniture and lots of books, all of which had clearly been placed out strategically to maximize the small space that Lukas had to work with.
“Why don’t you sit down on the sofa? I’ll get you some spare clothing and get the hot water ready for you. Then, while you take a shower, I’ll make us some soup.”
Kim only nodded, as they still felt strange about being in the lair of a villain.
Then again, ‘At least he didn't let the heroes take me. I can’t go back there!’ they thought as they sat down on the comfy sofa.
They began to doze off almost immediately, and they may have fallen fully asleep if Lukas had not returned after a few minutes.
“Here, I don’t have anything your size, but I got you one of my old college jumpers and t-shirts, and some sweatpants.” Kim took the comfy, but large, clothing in their hand, just lost for words. “The shower is just to the right of that door,” Lukas said as he went to the kitchen, not even giving Kim time to thank him.
It was a tiny hall, and a tiny bathroom, but wow, the hot water felt so amazing that Kim lost track of time. After the shower, and soup that they ate in silence, Lukas brought out a blanket and pillow. “Sorry, I don’t have a spare bed at the moment. Will the sofa do?”
“Thank you,” was all that Kim was able to say as they battled the sleepiness, and Lukas fully understood. There were no more words needed tonight.
Kim seemed to have fallen asleep before their head even hit the pillow. Once he was sure they were asleep, Lukas went to his office, and called up his friend who was a local healer. With how thin Kim was and if it was true that they had not eaten for over two days, he wanted to make sure they got medical attention right away.
His friend agreed to meet him the next day, once the plow clears the roads in the morning. Reassured, he began planning, grabbing a pen and some sticky notes.
“Okay. Now the kid can’t keep sleeping on the sofa,” he mumbled to himself as he began noting down the plan for tomorrow, “it’s not good for them. So, I’m going to have to clean out the extra room and get a bed. Should also get them some proper clothing as it’s cold. I need more food and snacks… maybe get them some toys? Do 12-year-olds still like toys? Well, maybe they like some games? Hm… yeah, I’ll get those too – not that I’m planning to let them stay here long-term or anything… ” He lied to himself.
The next day was filled with stress and worry. Lukas had planned to go out and buy some extra essentials and start cleaning out the spare room. But Kim had woken up with a bad fever so, instead, he was now worryingly doing everything he could to keep the fever down as he waited for his friend to show up.
Finally, at 14:30, he got a notification that someone was at the lair’s hidden entrance.
“Sorry for not being able to come earlier. It seems the blizzard is getting really bad out there,” Emma said as she dropped several bags into Lukas’s hand unprompted. “My husband went out and got some extra supplies and clothes that I hope will fit them,” she continued, while she also dumped her scarf and overcoat right on top of Lukas’ unwaiting arms.
“Emma, you didn't have to do that!” Lukas said. His friend was often kind, so he shouldn't have been surprised, but maybe he just wasn't used to truly nice people quite yet.
But Emma just saw the little body that was half asleep on the sofa and started side-whispering. “Theodore and a friend will bring over one of my kids' old beds and some toys once the storm is over, since we’re moving next month we don’t need to take them with us. Hope you can make room for one by then.”
Lukas stared in amazement at the generosity. Emma motioned questioningly towards the sofa, and Lukas nodded.
She walked up to the little child bundled in a thick blanket. “Hi, there, little one,” she said softly as Kim slowly opened their eyes. “What’s your name?”
“Kim…” they answered in a hoarse whisper.
“Well, Kim, my name is Emma. I’m a friend of Lukas’s.”
Kim only gave a small nod in response.
Satisfied, she continued. “I’m also a healer, so why don’t you just keep laying still, so I can examine you?” she said in a comforting tone. Another small nod gave her the assurance she was looking for. “Okay, then. Don’t worry, it won't take too long…”
“You didn’t lie about their condition, poor kid.” Emma said as Lukas handed her a soda bottle.
After healing everything that could be healed, Kim had fallen asleep again. And, although their fever was going down, their condition was still bad. “Underweight, malnourished — they even had a few broken bones! Who did this to them?”
“I don’t know… they said that they have been on the street for 3 months, maybe some scum of a villain?”
“Some of those injuries were way older. There were even scars, Luke. No kid should have gone through anything like that. You don’t think they’re –”
“— can’t be,” Lukas cut her off. “Kim is only 12. There are no hero agencies that would let a 12-year-old fight.” Lukas wanted to believe what he said, but he was not fully convinced by his own argument. He had read far too many news stories about heroes and hero sidekicks who quit or went missing from Nizorro's hero agency and others across the world. Those horrible stories, sending out 15-year-olds (or even younger!) to fight crime… If they didn’t quit or go missing, then the injuries and trauma usually stopped them. How anyone could see it as justified, as good and "right", was beyond him.
The two fell silent for a moment. Emma finally asked what was weighing on both their shoulders. “So… what are we going to do?”
“I’m not giving them back,” Lukas replied after a moment. “Not until I fully know who they are, why they were on the streets, and what can be done to keep them safe so this doesn’t happen again.”
“You can’t just keep the kid here!” Emma almost shouted. “Even if you’re doing it to help them! Yes, I don't want them to go back to their parents if they did this. But it’s still illegal for you to keep them here if you know they’re a runaway!”
“Yeah, it’s illegal, but I’m a villain following my own morals,” he smirked. “So, as long as Kim wants to stay, I’ll let them.”
Emma could not really say anything back at that. Not that she wanted to, anyway. In the end, she just laughed.
“What are you laughing at?”
“Sorry, I just can’t remember seeing you all soft before,” she said amused.
Lukas gawked… then his voice went up a few octaves when he retorted all flustered, "I AM NOT SOFT!”

Brynn and Gemma
Immortal Cannon Fodder masterlist
@extrabitterbrain @wolfeyedwitch @actress4him
Brynn and Gemma's relationship over the years.
Brynn's supervillain whumper is now called Sovereign.
2.3k
CWs: mentioned controlling whumper, broken ankle, muzzle, touch-starved, implied abusive parental figure/child abuse (no explicit minor whump), past parental death, mentioned betrayal, self-esteem issues, internalised ableism (courtesy of Sovereign)
"I am–am B–b–black D–d–d–death, and I wu–will r–r–raze your city to–to the g-g-ground an-and ru-ru-rebuild it as-as m-m-my n-new p-p-palace!" shouts the small figure squeakily, and Gemma bites back a laugh, grateful that the kid can't see her face properly. They have a mask made from black sugar paper and a black tablecloth as a cape. A hawk is hovering just above them.
"Isn't that Sovereign's line?"
The kid puffs out their chest. "It-it's m-m-mine n-n-now. I w-work w-w-with him. An-and y-y-you'll n-n-never d-d-defeat us!"
They kick forward sloppily, and Gemma backs up, dodging the blows easily. The hawk swoops forward, and Gemma pretends to fall.
"You're right, kid. You're very strong. I can't defeat you."
"Ha-ha! M-m-me an-and Ho-ho-horus are st-stronger th-than you!" The kids holds out their hand. "H-h-h-however, I-I am a b-b-benevolent v-v-v-villain an-and wu-wu-will not k-k-k-kill you."
Gemma takes their hand and pulls herself up, pushing off the ground slightly so they don't try and take all her weight. Well, that line isn't from Sovereign.
Speaking of the supervillain...
"Br- kid, what are you doing out here? Home, now. It's well past your bedtime."
"B-b-b-but–"
"No buts. I'll play tomorrow."
Gemma can almost see the kid's pout under their mask as they stomp off. She has a million questions, none of which her nemesis will ever answer.
"My apologies for the child. Shall we get on with it?"
_
Brynn digs her hand between the bricks, scrambling to find enough purchase to keep herself upright. It doesn't work, and she can't put any weight on her ankle, dropping to the floor of the dingy back alley.
She needs to get back, but she doesn't want to crawl the whole way.
"Hey there. I saw your fall earlier. Do you need help?"
Bryan turns around to see a woman standing at the end of the alley, silouhetted by sodium-yellow streetlights. She narrows her eyes as the woman takes a step closer, hands in the air.
'Horus,' she thinks in her hawk's mind, 'investigate.'
Horus swoops forward, circling the woman, who watches him calmly. Brynn doesn't get any sense of imminent danger from him, and she doesn't really react, even when he perches on her head. Horus thinks she's no threat. A civilian, then?
"Can I help you?" asks the woman, and Brynn nods, watching warily as the woman approaches. She crouches in front of Brynn and pulls out a torch. In the light of it, she can see the woman putting the pieces together, realising who she is. Will she leave now? Swipe out in disgust and try to arrest or kill her?
To Brynn's surprise, she does nothing of the sort.
"You're Black Death, huh? Nice mask." Brynn flinches internally. It is certainly not a nice mask, but Sovereign doesn't trust her to stay silent without it. She can't correct the woman though, not without cutting her mouth open on the spikes – and even then, sound probably wouldn't come out. "I'm Gemma. What have you injured?"
Brynn points at her ankle, and Gemma examines it, wincing. "That's a nasty break. I'll splint it for you, but make sure you get it treated properly later, yeah?" Brynn nods, already knowing she won't. Gemma pulls out a first aid kit and cleans Brynn's ankle with antibacterial wipes, her touch gentle as she splints it.
The care brings tears to Brynn's eyes. The last time someone was this soft with her, she was much younger, Sovereign had just taken her in. He's not like that anymore, though, when he even bothers to treat her. And no-one else ever comes near.
She doesn't need care, she's not a baby anymore, but it's nice.
"I'm just going to find you something to use as a walking stick. Take some painkillers from the first aid kit if you need them." Brynn nods, and as Gemma strides off, pops two pills out of the packet, swallowing them dry.
She leans against the wall and watches Gemma for a while, stroking Horus absently. Who is this woman? Why is she so willing to help? Brynn's done terrible things, not at her own behest, sure, but nobody knows that. She still did them. Why's Gemma helping?
"Alright, this should do. Try it out."
Brynn takes the stick and levers herself to her feet, putting all her weight on the stick and her good foot. She doesn't fall this time.
She signs a quick, "Thank you." Gemma smiles.
"Glad I could help. Anything else?" Brynn shakes her head. "Okay. Well, take this, in case you ever need anything."
Gemma hands her a slip of paper, with an address and phone number on it. Her address? Why would she trust a villain with her address?
Brynn thanks her again and stows the paper in a secure pocket. She'll just have to make sure Sovereign doesn't find it.
It seems to burn a hole in her pocket as she limps off, and all through her meeting with Sovereign. As she collapses onto her bed, splint gone and a new pain in her ankle, she knows she can't leave. Sovereign would be sure to hunt her down if she did. So there's no point in keeping Gemma's address.
She does, though, slipping the little piece of paper under the mattress. She's not sure why she doesn't just throw it in the fireplace, let it go up in smoke, but for some reason she can't bring herself to get rid of the one piece of evidence she has that people will, occasionally, be kind.
_
Gemma resists the urge to get up as the kitchen window slides open further and a person drops inside with a small thud.
The little thief's back.
She hears rustling outside her bedroom, and knows that when she goes out in the morning, she'll see an empty plastic box that held snackd from last time they 'burgled' her, slightly rumpled bed clothes on the sofabed, and a wide-open window. Possibly a few feathers too.
She worries about Black Death, sometimes. They've gone from an excitable, dramatic small child to a wary young adult who barely talks. And who sometimes ends up in a near-stranger's house for food and sleep. She thinks Sovereign probably has something to do with it, given that they're his sidekick. It's worrying.
But she can't confront Black Death. She doesn't think they're ready to leave him, and she doesn't want to accidentally chase them out of the only place they're definitely getting food and rest from.
She just hopes they get the courage to ask for help sometime.
_
Brynn bites her lip as she hears the key turn in the lock. Gemma's here.
She was nervous enough about tonight anyway, but now she thinks this might be the same Gemma she's been stealing food from for years. The woman who helped her out, before she'd realised it was a bad idea to let anyone except Sovereign help. And now... she has to own up, right? To stealing? But what if Gemma hates her for it? The team all look up to Gemma, what would happen to her then?
"Hi Gemma," says Lian, out in the hallway. "Kai told you we have someone new, right?"
"Yeah. He and Aaron are still buying snacks, by the way, I came on ahead. She used to be a villain's sidekick?"
There's a glimmer of hope in Gemma's voice, and Brynn wonders who she's hoping to find. Can't be her. She feels a little guilty, for not being the person Gemma clearly wants.
"Yep. Sovereign's, as a matter of fact. Her alias used to be Black Death."
Gemma gasps. "She's here?"
Morfydd gives Brynn a knowing smile, and she squeezes further into Phoenix's side. She's not scared, far from it, she just... wants Phoenix. On Phoenix's other side, Santhiya groans as they fall onto her.
Oops.
Gemma enters the room then, and Morfydd gets up, running to her and throwing their arms around the retired hero. Gemma chuckles lightly, stroking Morfydd's hair.
"Missed you too. Been a hell of a fortnight, I'm guessing?" Morfydd nods. "Do you and Lian want to come and stay over soon? Get away from it all." They nod again, clutching Gemma tightly. Brynn looks away guiltily, aware that it's her sudden move that's caused all this. And what Sovereign wants her to do will make everything worse.
Eventually, Morfydd pulls away and sits on Lian's lap, where she originally was before Gemma arrived.
"Why does no-one here ever use furniture?" she asks, sounding faintly amused, before turning to Phoenix and Santhiya. "Hey Phoenix, Santhiya. How are you?"
"I'm controlling my powers well, and me and Phoenix went on another date!" replies Santhiya excitedly.
"Finally," mutters Lian. Santhiya flips him off cheerfully, contentedly sitting partially under Phoenix.
Phoenix kisses the top of Santhiya's head, then gives Gemma an exhausted smile. "It was a good date. I think I understand why everyone was so concerned when they first met me now. I'm good, though. Kai says having someone to look after is good for me, and I agree. This is Brynn."
Brynn shies away as Gemma focuses on her. "H-h-h-hi."
"Hey there. You're the newbie then, I take it?" Brynn nods. "Please say you're the same little thief whose ankle I treated a few years ago."
"Y-y-y-yes. Y-y-y-you wwwww w-w-want me to-to be?" Brynn's perplexed. Why would Gemma want to see her again?
Gemma shrugs. "You vanished, I was worried about you. Did I have a good reason to be?"
Brynn shakes her head. "I-I-I'm f-f-f-fine. I-I-I'm s-s-s-sorry I st-st-stole f-f-from you."
"It's fine. I wouldn't have left the window half-open and snacks packed into tupperware if I didn't want you taking them, would I?"
Oh. Oh. Brynn's heart swoops. Sovereign was right. She really is thicker than two short planks.
"Oh. Of c-c-course. Sh-sh-sh-should've known I'm-I'm to-too stupid t-t-to b-b-b-break in." She takes a deep breath, trying to stop the incessant babble that comes out whenever she's upset. If she can't even speak properly she's not fit to speak at all.
"Hey. That wasn't what I meant, little thief. You broke in successfully the first time. The sofa was slept on and some food gone, and there were hawk feathers left behind. Deductive reasoning. It was only after that that I started leaving the window open for you. You're not stupid, far from it. You're just very brave."
"D-d-desperate," she corrects, heart in her throat. "I wu-wu-was d-d-desperate, n-n-not brave."
"Mm. You were both, I think. Do you want a hug?"
Brynn nods, ensconcing herself in Gemma's arms. She hasn't been hugged like this since her parents died, and she finds herself relaxing involuntarily.
That is, until Morfydd speaks, soft but amused.
"Does this mean that Brynn's the child you told us tried to fight you dressed in a sugar paper mask and a tablecloth?"
Brynn goes bright red as the others giggle, pressing closer to Gemma to hide her face. Damnit.
"Yep. That's Brynn."
_
Gemma looks up and covers Brynn's old mask with a tea towel when she walks into the room, wrapped in a green fuzzy dressing gown. Now Sovereign's in jail, Brynn's finally had a chance to collect the rest of her old things, and the mask is frankly horrifying. Gemma's not sure why she chose to keep it, given the obvious fear it inspires in her, but she doesn't plan on bringing it up unless Brynn does.
"Hey. Come and have some food." Brynn pours herself a small bowl of coco pops and takes a seat, the overlarge dressing gown making her look tiny. "How are you doing?"
Brynn nods. "Ffffff f–f-f-fine. I–I–I llllike th-th-the bu-bu-bu-bed." She inhales a spoonful of cereal. "Wu-wu-wu-when you ff-f-fixed m-m-my an-an-ankle, Ssssssss Sovereign re-re-re-rebroke it. I-I sh-sh-sh-shouldn't have g-g-got help f-f-from an-anyone bu-bu-but him. So-so I d-d-d-didn't kn-know h-h-h-how to-to lu-lu-lu-leave. I'm-I'm s-s-s-sorry."
Oh, god. She should've gotten Brynn out of there years ago, damn letting her make her own choices.
"Hey. It's okay, Brynn. Sovereign was my nemesis for years, and although I didn't know just how awful he was, I know you didn't have a choice. In fact, you're the one who defeated him in the end."
"It-it wu-wu-wu-wouldn't have b-b-been necessary if-if I w-w-wasn't a-a c-c-coward. C-c-can't I j-j-j-just h-h-hand m-myself in-in?"
"No. That's why you're staying with me, to stop you from doing that. It's why Phoenix tied you down at first. You're not going to prison, I don't care how much you think you deserve it."
Brynn squeezes her eyes shut, tears spilling out from under her eyelids. Gemma squeezes her hand gently.
"I m-m-miss them. Ph-ph-phoenix th-the m-m-most."
"You can call them if you like. You won't be disturbing them, if they're busy they just won't answer."
"I'm sc-scared," she whispers. "Y-y-y-you d-d-d-didn't see th-the others' ffff f-f-faces. Th-the b-b-betrayal. Wu-what if th-they– wu-what if Ph-ph-phoenix an-and San-santhiya are-are are-are-are-are–"
Gemma waits, but Brynn just slams her mouth shut and shakes her head, unable to go on. "You won't know until you speak to them, and you have to speak eventually. If it helps, I don't think Phoenix has it in them to hate you."
Brynn picks her phone up and unlocks it with shaking fingers. She stares at the screen, unmoving.
"Do you want me to give you some privacy while you call?" asks Gemma quietly. Brynn shakes her head, squeezing Gemma's hand in a death grip.
Eventually, she presses call, then puts it on speaker. The phone barely has a chance to ring before Phoenix picks up.
"Hello? Brynn?"
"H-h-h-hey."
"Oh, thank god, you're okay. You haven't handed yourself in. How, um, how are you doing?"
Phoenix sounds exhausted but happy to hear from one of their partners, and Brynn smiles tentatively, loosening her hold on Gemma.
Gemma's relieved, and not just for the regaining of feeling in her fingers. It's good to see Brynn smile and talk. Gemma hasn't seen enough of that.

It’s always “evil Superman!!!!” this, or “villain justice league!!!” that.
I want an AU of villain! Bruce who’s absolutely dog-shit at being evil.
Firstly: The worst thing he can think of doing is not donating to animal shelters or charities . immediately feels so guilty he throws up.
Secondly: The second a child cries because of him, he’d freeze up. Stand like a statue, unmoving and petrified. No more evil, but just today.
He ends up helping the city by accident more often than not, and to his immortal disappointment, Gotham loves both the Bat and Bruce Wayne.
“alfred come look at my evil plan”
“Yes, sir, “ Alfred is very indulgent. He does his best to pretend it’s actually good. “ ‘Don’t say please to the barista’. Getting bold, are we?”
EVERYTIME He and Clark meet and Bruce monologues about pulverizing him to dust, Clark (and the League) looks at him like this:
Tumblr media
“I can make him worse,” GOOD FOR YOU!!! Clark can make him into his malewife and adopt his 7 evil sidekicks who actually know how to villain. Especially the little one.

Love when the Justice League thinks Batman is a cryptid. This believe is only further enhanced by the face his sidekick, Robin, is clearly a shapeshifter, what with changing their height, hair style, skin tone, and even gender.
Batman clearly thinks that by having Robin look different every couple of years, it will show that they aren't cryptids like it would if Robin didn't age.
But the Justice League is too smart for that. They figured it out! But they are good friends (colleagues) and won't spill Batman's secret, but they will drop hints to him that they know, to show that they are smarter than he gives them credit for (they aren't.)
-
When the batkids learn that the league thinks this, they start periodically going to the Watchtower with Bruce, taking turns dressed up as Robin.
The League is surprised as Robin seems to prefer taking the form of a child, perhaps to have villains underestimate them? But they just assume Robin is trying out something new.
The batkids definitely tell eachother about what was said/happened as to further sell the act of Robin being a shapeshifter, because clearly it has to be the same person, Robin knows what happened, so it couldn't of been someone else dressed as Robin.

You know, I think this ending would have been slightly less of a fucking disappointment if the heroes hadn't been so unfairly favored by Horikoshi compared to the villains. I mean, seriously
Deku destroys every bone in his body multiple times throughout the story and is warned that if he continues, he'll permanently lose the use of his limbs ? Everything's fine, his body's just got used to being reduced to a bloody pulp somehow so there's no consequences for him. In fact even when he literally loses his arms to Shigaraki, he gets them back two minutes later thanks to Eri because guess what ? Her horn still works even when cut off from her body. How convenient.
Gran Torino gets his ribcage obliterated by Shigaraki ? Don't worry guys, he'll survive that despite his old age and injuries, and this to have no particular role in the plot afterwards.
Bakugo dies heroically trying to buy time before Deku arrives ? Lmao, did you really believe it ?? No of course not, Edgeshot just uses his last-minute Deus Ex Machina to save his life at the cost of his own and- Oops nope he's fine too, my bad !
Hawks murders a criminal fleeing for his life in cold-blood ? The best Hori has to offer is him completely free and in charge of the HSPC.
And no, losing his quirk isn't a real consequence for him because not only it literally played a major part in saving the world with Vestige!Hawks raising an insurrection among AFO's quirks, but also because his quirk has always been the element through which people exploited him.
Endeavor abused his family for years and completely destroyed his eldest son ? No jail time and no media backlash for that, the only blame he received was due to the heroes' failure to stop the League during the Raid Arc.
And don't even get me started on this bs about facing hell or whatever for what he's done : He's literally free and wealthy ; he has Rei, Fuyumi, Shoto, his sidekicks and Hawks on his side ; and all the difficulties he's apparently going to suffer are off-screened.
Deku had to sacrifice OFA and his future hero career to save the world ? Guess what, Bakugo invested all his time and money to make him an Iron-Man suit and now he can still be a hero with everyone else.
There are plenty more examples of this but I think you get the idea. Now let's take a look at the villains' ending :
Tumblr media
Toya is now a piece of charcoal kept artificially alive for the few years he has left, unable to move a finger, and whose few minutes a day during which he can stay awake will be spent talking to his father who abused him as a child.
Toga, a literal teenager, killed herself to save Ochako and because she knew it's still better than rotting at Tartarus her whole life.
And not only did she die but she did by bleding to death. Let me repeat for those who have trouble grasping what I've just said : In a manga where the heroes can survive having their heart blown to bits, being impaled Kakyoin-style or smashed against buildings like a fly on a windshield, one of the main antagonists died of a fucking hemorrhage…
As for Shigaraki, after learning that his very birth and all the tragedies of his life have been orchestrated by AFO, after all this development and narrative promises about him being saved in the end... Deku just kills him.
Because despite all his speeches about saving him, it seems like the best our MC could do was beating him both physically and mentally until he crumbles to dust…
Compress on his side is apparently locked up for life and kept alive by machines too.
A begging Kurogiri tried in a desperate attempt to save Shigaraki, only to be unceremoniously blown up by Bakugo and dying off-screen without anyone giving a shit, including Aizawa and Mic.
And Spinner will now spend the rest of his life struggling with the extra quirks inside him that affect his body and mind, while having to cope with the thought that his boyfriend best friend and companions have either died alone or are locked away for life in horrifying circumstances.
Clearly not the same as with the heroes...
Now don't get me wrong, even if they suffered just as much from the consequences of their actions or the plot as the League, this ending would still be a disaster in terms of writing but AT LEAST it wouldn't reek that much of hypocrisy.

Daredevil, gremlin child, and the nightmare of all of Gotham’s villains was what Robin!Dick was known for. But at the end of the day, he’s just a boy that’s completely gone for you. He can’t and doesn’t let you catch a break as he constantly pokes you from starting the silliest arguments to putting on a show of his routines he used to do back in his family’s circus. Not once does he approach you like a normal person. One day he’d be creeping silently behind you, suddenly asking what you’re doing right into your ear while peering over your shoulder. The next, he would simply stand in front of you and wait for you to notice. He pouts when it seems like it’s taking you too long, though he does appreciate getting the time to engrave your form and the other expressions you make when he’s not annoying you. All of this, he does constantly, almost every other day in fact, because in his mind and heart, you are the best thing to ever enter and be in his life. It amplifies his haughtiness, silliness, goofiness, and sass as he does everything in hopes that he could strike a chance with you. So when he comes back from a long mission and you express any indiction of concern and how you missed him, his smile stretches from ear to ear, his heart fluttering from how you care for him. Of course he would probe to hear more, his desire of wanting to hear your thoughts on him but he still manages to stop himself from overdoing it. During the times when you pull an uno-reverse card on him unexpectedly, he gets extremely flustered and flushed from his “impress to woo the other person over” backfiring big time and instead, he’s falling for you all over again.
Robin!Jason:
Despite his height, he’s considered the cheerful and bright one as he steals the hearts of the Titans after a single mission, and makes Batman of all people laugh. Have you in the room and  he lights the whole place from how much he glows. Before heading to you, he sniffs his uniform to make sure it doesn’t smell like cigarettes. If it has the faintest scent of it, he goes back to the cave to change into a new one, doing so even more after learning how second-hand smoking can cause cancer. At some point he gets fed up with sniffing and changing so many times, he starts going through all the tricks to quit smoking even faster. Time to time, he brings something small, making excuses including the classic “saved an old lady crossing the road” on his way as a rose gets placed into your hands. He’s notably chattier and laughing more around you, enjoying whatever the two of you talk about even if it’s mundane and boring. He can’t help it when your passion, laughter, excitement, and smiles are infectious. His love for you is so pure that he’d be satisfied with simply being by your side, his one wish being that he can bring you as much happiness as you do for him. Time to time when you get a burger combo meal, seemingly to believe that’s his favorite based on the one time he mentioned about his memory with it whether it’s to welcome him back from a long while or randomly he gets fuzzy, warm, and the heart palpitations while he shares the meal with you. You make him feel that his life is complete, that he won the whole world which motivates him to become a better person, a “good guy” as they all say, so he can stay with you even if he ends up not being your end game.
Robin!Tim:
He’s known as the smart one as well as the one that sacrificed his chance of normal for the sake of saving Batman and currently, Gotham. You were never part of his plan as he already envisioned how his life as Batman's sidekick would look like but here he is, completely smitten for you as he figures out ahead how to approach you when he catches you hanging out. Image training, standing in front of the mirror and going through his lines and poses until Alfred caught him doing it once. Now he does it after locking his door, double, triple checking he was going to get his little gig right so he can look cool when he appears in front of you. Take the “yapper and listener” meme. That’s his relationship with you where he’s serenaded by your voice and won’t ever get sick of listening to it. If you were to express anything you need or want, he gets it and leaves it where he was standing or sitting with a small note attached. He’s also guilty of abusing his alternative identities and disguises so he could extend his time with you even outside of being Robin. Not that you would ever know as he has no intentions any time soon to out himself. There’s no other reason for him being this extra other than that you are the one that gives him the comfort and relief he needs. You are his solace that makes his self doubt disappear and everything he has done worth it. So when you do any skin ship including the scandalous hand holding, he’s equivalent to the red on his suit and mute from how conscious he gets from feeling you extremely close to him. Also gets him to forget to breathe but that’s not the issue here.
