This might well be confirmed in 'the vampire lestat' which I haven't read as of yet. But for some reason i doubt that lestat spent only one week in the tower. To me it feels like an understatement. As if lestat just claimed the one week so it won't sound like he overstated his struggles. A week doesn't sound so bad when you're forced to talk about your trauma. But from the pile of corpses he refers to, and how all of them resembled him specifically, it always seemed like there would be more time needed for that pile to accumulate. Even though 'blond and blue eyed' isnt all that rare in europe. But matching his exact physique needs some more searching. And in a tower without windows, months of torture might well feel like a week. Magnus may have just asked lestat 7 times to get changed. That doesn't mean he spent only 7 days, restrained, in the tower.

There's the moment when you say "Akasha", and you look at [Armand] and he doesn't know what [that means]. All of those things, as an actor there's curiosity to play with here, but then also as a spectator knowing where we're going, I was thinking ahead to it coming out and going, "This is such a nice little sprinkling for the audience. This is gonna--This is, like, tingles." You delivered it very well, Sam.

Magnus is the like the most "horror" genre vampire in the whole series he's so fucked up and scary. Like Lestat got Mina Harker'd. There's a Dracula. A Noseferatu. LOOSE in PARIS and NO ONE BELIEVES HIM. "From what I hear, Lestat's turning was a horror show" YEAH IT WAS

Jon, grinning a little, says, "Well, I-I mean, except for the vampires…" Gerry scowls, "Yeah, obviously except for the vampires." Jon looks abashed, and Gerry looks down sorrowfully to say, "But they care about your choices, your fears, not your parents." End VD]
