If a mime were hosting a USB, and was then plugged into a computer, would it be ejected from host? Or would it be able to coexist with the computer, somewhat like commensalism symbiosis?
If the computer was off, and no electricity was running through it, they could theoretically control the computer that they are plugged into. If it was on, however, they would be ejected. Mimes cannot share a host with another source of energy, they must be the only source of energy present for hosting to work properly.

i'm happy that cables are getting standardized so you'll only really need usb-c chargers in the future, but. i went out and bought a flash drive. a usb flash drive. for my playstation 3. turns out it was fucking usb-c. not only am i going to tech jail for being an it-guy who got the wrong thing for something, but also, what do i do with this. i have a usb-usbc adapter but it works the wrong way around

man what is UP with the audio solutions in laptops these days. They're either noisy as hell or absolutely unusable for normal headphones above 10% volume. At some point I'm just going to buy the Apple USB-C DAC because they're the only company that builds quality audio hardware for normies.

i wish that minidiscs were still a thing. i think that every portable storage medium should be a chip or card like thing you put in the slot

LMAO at apple releasing a new apple pencil that costs the same as the first gen pencil and uses usb-c charging but doesn't have pressure sensitivity. viva

headphone dongles volume inconsistencies~~ why???
testing headphones with phone and decide to try to switch the cable of the dongle to another one~~
why in the crap is the google one worse than the ones I bought from amazon?
either they're better, or they disregard the "reduce loud sounds" for dongle headphones on IOS~~
idk why but when I use the google branded dongle the pair that I tried was relatively quiet, even on half volume~~
with the ones I bought from amazon a while ago, it was extremely loud at half volume~~ glad I didn't have them on my head~~ holy~~
so what's the deal here exactly? is the cable from amazon disregarding the "reduce loud sounds (to 75 decibels)" setting on IOS somehow?
gonna test it with other headphones too~~ but why is it SO VERY LOUD?? like I have to have it a little bit above absolutely silent for it to be listening volume and not to deafen myself~~~
just....
??????
they're wired and I'm using a dongle to headphone jack cable~~ idk why or how one would be better than the other, but if that's the case I wonder why amazons would be better (and slightly longer) than googles cables.....
rings true for a second pair of my wired headphones~~ so I'm assuming it does for every pair that is wired~~
is it because the audio cable from amazon is bigger? it's longer and has a bigger barrel on the end you plug the 3.5 mm headphone jack into~~ maybe it has more connections with the rings on the plug or something that makes them sound much louder than googles?
I'm curious about it and sadly don't know enough about how headphones or audio equipment work to figure out what the deal is~~
it is interesting tho~~~ I guess use the amazon cables and be careful about how loud the volume is~~ lol~~~

I think one of the biggest phone crimes was taking away the audio jack because I suspect thats why a number of people decide to play their media out loud.
Like the two people at my therapist's office rn. >:(

LOVE that James decides today is the day to go install the new router and leave us without internet while he does so, on the same day that I have like 3 hours to kill before work and now have no internet access to do the things I wanted to do before work, instead of idk, WAITING A FEW MORE HOURS UNTIL I LEAVE before doing this................. or like waiting until this time tomorrow when I'm not even here!
I love this man but christ he's infuriating-- when the net constantly goes down on his break or his only day off he gets really pouty and mad, but it's totally fine to leave me without internet for god knows how long on mine...... something something double standards......

Setting Up Data Connection with SORACOM Onyx LTE USB Modem on Linux
Recently, I found myself working with a cellular USB dongle on an embedded Linux system. I’ve previously documented my experience integrating an LTE device, the EM7565, into a Raspberry Pi 3, which you can read about here: Integrating LTE Device EM7565 into Raspberry Pi 3.
While working with a SORACOM USB dongle to establish a data connection on a Linux system, I encountered some hurdles.…
