I assume the that the reason that Jason always gets aged up in relation to other batlings in fanon is because of his position in the story/the fact that dc is addicted to drawing him like he’s 35, but I still find it weird that people seem able to grasp that Tim Steph and Cass are all basically in the same age group but seem to forget that Jason is canonically 7 months younger than Cass

i always wonder what it’ll take for how fat i am to get acknowledged. the only time ive ever had it publicly or privately called out (besides in kink situations) was in 9th grade. i didn’t go to anime club because im not into anime (im still not) even though i told this dude i would be there lol.

he was pissed at me the next day and just mouthed the words “you’re fat” in the hallway like that would mean anything… i’ve never rlly been insulted for my weight or had it poked fun at. is it weird i want to get big enough for that to happen??

to go along with that poll though... you should try rereading, as an adult, books you hated in high school or college. like. i cannot stress how much more sense they will make. (sometimes. personally i don't think i ever will understand the appeal of Moby Dick but that's probably more a me-problem.)

you change. you see things. you learn things. you start to understand what empathy actually is and see things from other people's povs. and suddenly that book you thought was so incredibly dumb becomes an "oooooh" moment because you realize it was bigger than your developing 8th grade brain could realistically process.

we force kids to read books too young -- like, yeah. you should be forced to read things that bore you or that you don't fully understand. that's how we grow. but also Romeo and Juliet was written about teenagers, not for them. no book that has been long considered a standard part of The Literary Canon should be tossed because college freshman find it boring. they're freshmen. they do that. they also think all-nighters, keg parties, and a steady diet of pizza and ramen are good ideas lol.

reread books you didn't get. there's a good chance you'll see why it was required reading.

Been such an eventful few weeks, everyday is filled with activity, most days with laughter.

!! today bad !! woke up to a sleep paralysis and it just kept going downhill from there; tried to update my laptop’s software and it got stuck, so now that’s the 2nd laptop that has stopped working for me this week. Literally fuck this week, I’m so done ughhh. How is that even like possible

things done today:

sat around, full of rage & defeat

stress-watched Succession (for the emotional support of seeing kendall sit around in defeat 24/7 bc that’s me right there)

I have arrived at my other favorite part, the university. Again a section with a lot of lore to be uncovered if you go looking for it. Again a section where I wonder a lot about what happened, what were they thinking, how were they spending their days?

My emotions already start with the memorial. The 'in loving memory' with all the pictures and the candles. There are three beds with made up dividers between them. Was it where they holed up after the dorms got overtaken by infected? Were they the last survivors of the students? Did they make it?

Then you enter the dorms and there is so much personality in each room. Posters, little trinkets. Outbreak day was september 26th. Beginning of the schoolyear. They probably finally finished making their room their own. Maybe they could still barely remember the name of their dormmates. Maybe they're freshman, moved from across the country and did not know anyone yet. They held out for atleast 10 months in those dorms. 10 months of not knowing if your family and friends back home are alive, dead or something worse. 10 months of being terrified and trying to survive with people you have maybe seen around, people who are completely strangers. Maybe with some friends, maybe with some who absolutely hate your guts.

After a while the cracks start to show. Infected are getting through the barricades and it is getting harder to get them out. Personal relations are getting tense. Rationing food. Who makes the calls. Who risks their life to go to town to try and find supplies. You find out no one is coming. You are on your own.

You are presented with a choice. Either you spend the last of your (probably short) life in the dorms. Trying to survive another day. Or you venture out, risk the relative safety of the dorms, and see if you can make it out in the big, brutal world. Maybe you will even make it to a QZ. Maybe you won't even make it out of the university grounds.

Maybe you will find a group of survivors, you join them. The group grows. You create a town. Sometimes life almost feels normal. At some point rations start to get low. There are little to no provisions left in places nearby, and the situation gets desperate. You start doing something you never would have thought an option when all of this started, all those years ago in that stupid dormitory. It feels like several life times ago when you were young and innocent, excited about the poster you were going to put up, wondering what your dorm mate would be like. But the years of survival have hardened you and you don't think about pulling the trigger and seeing the life leaves someones eyes anymore. You have stopped wondering if they have a family, if someone is waiting for them to get back when you drag their body back to base. You don't throw up anymore after you get served an extra serving of meat at dinner that night.

It was never an option to overtake the group that stationed themselves at the university. They are always too well manned, too well armed. But out of nowhere they seemed to have left. No one is sure why, it seemed like they had a good thing going in the science building. After staking out the place for a while to make sure they are not coming back you and some others go in. See what they left behind. But instead of finding it empty, you find a man and a little girl. A little girl who doesn't hesitate to shoot you to protect the man.

Maybe you were always fated to die in that cursed university.

Sorry, but Phineas and Ferb going to college as adults is soooo fake. 1) What the fuck is college gonna teach them? 2) They're both WAY too restless to study for four years or more for ONE degree. They spent a single afternoon building to the MOON. FOUR YEARS might as well be an ETERNITY. Spending that in SCHOOL?? WASTE OF TIME.

Do y'all have any advice on school supplies for college? I'm aware that if there's anything the professors really want us to have, they'll put it on a syllabus or something but I have no idea where to start other than some pens, pencils, calculator, and notebooks for classes (I like handwritten not computerized). Is there anything else you'd recommend?

Edit: also for communal showers, how do you store your dry clothes? I was thinking a shower caddy and then using a draw string bag or something to store new dry clothes

Studying in the anatomy departament every day, I might as well just move here atp 🙆‍♀️

(Honestly, working with anatomy specimen is the only way to go, no matter how many books you read- theory can only take you so far ;) being able to see how certain structures look like in real life is really helpful and I’m extremely grateful for every minute I get to spend in the dissecting room 🩷)

I’m going to college this august and I’m so excited!! I have done a year of community college and was going to get my 2 year degree then transfer to my dream college and complete a bachelors but I just wanted to go already, not wait another year. I’m in actually doing it!!! I’m so fucking excited to move out and be an actual adult. My mom tells me stories about when I was 11 saying “I want to move out, the only problem is I’m still a kid.” I’ve wanted to start my life for so long and it’s finally happening. Im going to have a roommate and go to clubs and be late for class and go to the cafe with friends and go drinking and be friends with my roommate and do homework and do studio life drawing and have access to GOOD computers for once I can’t wait!! I’m also super nervous, it’s like 30 percent nervous 70 percent excited

my reasoning for each of these being that mr. boy was paired up with the commander, who was clearly a "most likely to succeed" type hero, and that since he's younger he might've been either really good at hero supporting or pretty powerful in his own right.
