no relationship categories sometimes you just point at two or more characters and go "they should have a Thing." what kind of Thing? I don't know! only rules are that it has to be deeply confusing for everyone around them, and probably also deeply confusing for the characters involved but in a different way. if you wrote a fic about it you should stare at the AO3 page for ten minutes getting increasingly frustrated that there's not a relationship designation symbol that's just a question mark instead of a slash or an ampersand. that kind of Thing.

im aware this is an insane thing to say but i fucking. love characters that are just cockroaches. and i dont mean like. gross i mean they just do not fucking die. they can survive anything. they will outlive EVERYONE because they just will not die no matter what be it because they have a reason or because they literally cannot stop surviving the odds i love it i love it

my life is so stupid thinking back like

imagine being a 13 year old girl and exhausted at a stupid religious very boring christmas ‘party’ so you put your head on your 15 year old sister’s shoulder bc you just want to go home but can’t and you’re so so tired and then later on the way home your father screams at you the whole ride back and more about how disgusting you are and how everyone at the ‘party’ is going to think that you—two sisters that everyone is still mistaking for twins—are ‘sleeping together’ bc putting your head on your sister’s shoulder is ‘sexual’ and ‘inappropriate’

anyway christmas isn’t even an especially painful time or anything for me since he ruined literally every aspect of life year round but that and the time he was joking about my very ill almost dying little brother was ‘on his deathbed’ bc he was too sick to even sit up and was on a mattress on the floor so he could ‘enjoy’ christmas always come back to me

then a million other horrid things but everything has a million horrid things attached

i’m so very glad my father is dead. horrible evil man. surprised i didn’t go more insane than i did over all this

it’s also not auditory hallucinations like sound from nothing because we can all hear them. i’m pretty sure it’s the house settling in a pattern similar to footsteps that we then ‘correct’ to footsteps, since it mostly follows the seam of the house where the addition was built or the old

(listening to ghostly disembodied footsteps cross the floors of my haunted house): i keep hearing footsteps but there’s no one here. how interesting i wonder what could be causing that. maybe i am filling in a non patterned sound with a familiar pattern so instinctively that i am unaware of the process. obviously it’s not the soul of a dead human being pacing the room she died in because that would be a spirit and what on earth would spirits need footsteps for?

running around in -16 C weather looking for our neighbours’ lost puppy (she came home safely!) and i went to the swamps where the running water could be to make sure she wasn’t caught in the ice and walking through the freezing water it came over the top of my shoes but i was wearing my wool socks so when i came home my socks and shoes were coated in ice but my feet stayed fine
