Maxed Out
Pairings: Poly!marauders x disabled!reader Summary: You're having the worst flare the boys have ever seen Warnings: Severe chronic pain, unintentional self-harm (biting lip to the point of drawing blood), angst Series Masterlist
The pain is relentless, a jagged edge that grinds against your every thought, refusing to be ignored. It sharpens with each shallow breath, each tiny shift in position, radiating from your core in waves that threaten to pull you under. You attempt to sit up, to arrange the pillows into a more comfortable configuration, but your muscles rebel against the effort. A low groan escapes your lips, more a product of frustration than physical discomfort.
Your breathing grows shallower still, and you squeeze your eyes shut against the darkness behind your eyelids, as if this voluntary blindness might somehow lessen the assault on your senses. But it only serves to amplify the sensation, the pain becoming an entity unto itself, filling your body like a poisonous fog. It feels as though your body is at war with itself, a silent battle waged beneath the surface of your skin, leaving you feeling exposed and vulnerable despite the cocoon of blankets wrapped around you.
Your lips are chapped and raw, and you catch the tender skin between your teeth, biting down to distract from the unrelenting ache that permeates your very being. The metallic tang of blood fills your mouth, but you don’t stop—the minor sting is a welcome reprieve from the blinding pain elsewhere. Your charm bracelet lies heavy against your wrist, its warmth a small comfort in the icy grip of agony, but it does nothing to alleviate the suffering coursing through your veins like poison.
"Hey," comes Remus's voice, a low murmur barely audible over the roar in your head. There's a note of concern lacing his tone, hinting at the severity of your condition. He must have noticed how you've grown silent, your focus narrowing on the rawness of your bitten lip as a futile attempt to block out the world around you. His hand grazes your arm, a feather-light touch that nonetheless sends jolts of discomfort across your hypersensitive skin. "Don't do that."
You don't answer, can't answer. The words would take more energy than you have to spare, every ounce of strength needed just to stay conscious against the onslaught of pain. He pulls his hand back, perhaps realising that his touch isn't helping. There's a sigh, and even in your hazy state, you're aware of the concern etched into each breath he takes. The others are there, hovering at the periphery, but it's Remus who stays close, his presence a constant, watching vigil.
"James, Sirius," Remus calls softly from across the room. You can hear the rustle of blankets and the scraping of chairs as they rise and move closer.
James is at your side in an instant, reaching out to grasp your hand. It's a small gesture, one that might seem insignificant to anyone else, but it means the world to you right now. You let him hold it, despite the pain that shoots up your arm with even the slightest movement. The warmth of his hand seeps into yours, grounding you when everything else threatens to pull you under.
Sirius stands at the foot of the bed, his usual confidence replaced by an uncertainty that makes him seem almost as fragile as you feel. His fingers flex at his sides, itching to do something, anything, but he is powerless in the face of your suffering. It's a feeling he detests—this inability to make things right.
"Sweetheart," James murmurs, his voice faint but threaded with concern. His hand enfolds yours, a solid anchorage amidst the storm raging within you. He leans closer, pressing a kiss to your forehead, and his breath, warm and familiar, brushes against your cold, clammy skin. "How bad is it?"
The words stick in your throat, lodged behind the fear and the pain. You shake your head, a fraction of movement that sends the room spinning anew. Your vision flickers, edges darkening as black spots begin to dance before your eyes.
"She’s maxed out on potions," Remus says, his voice low. He's always been the calm one, but you hear a tremor there now. "There’s nothing more she can take for the pain.”
"Then what do we do?" Sirius asks, his tone straining against the edges of his control. He's not angry with you, you know this. His frustration is born from the helplessness gnawing at his insides, the need to act but not knowing how. "We can't just let her—she's bleeding."
Remus leans in, his thumb gently brushing over your lips, wiping away the traces of dried blood.
"Babe, stop," Sirius murmurs, his voice threading through the haze of pain. It's not an order, but a plea, almost lost amidst the thunderous roar of agony in your head. "You're hurting yourself."
"I can't," you manage to utter through gritted teeth, your voice brittle as autumn leaves underfoot. It isn't a refusal to obey; it's a surrender to the onslaught of torment that takes your words and twists them into a confession of defeat. You can't bear it any longer—the relentless pain, the ceaseless throb of your aching body, the confinement within your own flesh. It's all too much, a tidal wave crashing over you, leaving you gasping for air.
James leans in, his hand cradling your cheek as if you're made of glass. His lips brush yours with the lightest touch, careful not to cause further pain. It's a soft kiss, an unspoken promise that he's here, that he loves you, even when he can't take away the hurt. He pulls back slowly, resting his forehead against yours for a moment, his breath warm and steady against your skin.
"We're here," he whispers, as though he could will you back from the edge of consciousness with his words alone. "We've got you."
Sirius finally steps forward, settling himself on the edge of the bed by your feet. He looks between you and the others, his eyes seeking some sort of guidance, a plan of action. "Tell us what you need," he says, his voice low and rough with worry. There's a hesitance there, a vulnerability that peeks through the cracks of his usual bravado.
"Stay," you manage to whisper, the word barely more than a breath. But it's all you want right now—for them to stay, even if they can't stop the pain. You know they would move mountains if it meant making this easier for you.
The mattress shifts again, and you sense Remus move to your other side. His hand finds its way into your hair, fingers massaging your scalp with careful precision. It's overwhelming, this sudden influx of contact, but you don't ask him to stop. You can't. The comfort outweighs the distress.
"I hate seeing you like this," he murmurs, voice choked with emotion. "I hate that we can't do anything."
You know they hate it. You see it in their eyes—the torment of helplessness when someone you care for is in pain, and all you can offer is your presence. But they're wrong if they think that means nothing. In this moment, you don't need them to fix anything. You just need them there, their existence a balm against the isolation that threatens to consume you.
The pain surges, a hot knife twisting through your body. You can't help but whimper, the sound low and broken. James's hand tightens around yours, his touch grounding despite the torment wracking your form.
"I know," Remus murmurs, brushing away a sweat-dampened lock of hair from your forehead. He leans in close, so near that you can feel the warmth radiating from him, a stark contrast to the cold sweat on your skin. His lips meet yours in a firm kiss, not gentle like James's earlier, but something more—a desperate attempt to pull your focus from the pain.
It's not meant to hurt you, merely distract, and for a moment it works. The force of his mouth against yours is startling, almost too much, but it helps ground you, anchors you amidst the waves of agony. For a brief reprieve, the pain seems to ebb, replaced by the solid presence of Remus, his breath mingling with yours.
When he pulls back, his eyes search your face, a silent question lingering in their depths. But he doesn't voice it, merely remains close, his forehead resting against yours as he takes a deep, shuddering breath.
Sirius shifts next to you, his fingers brushing against the bare skin of your foot that peeks out from under the duvet. "You're so strong," he murmurs, voice roughened by emotion. He tries to keep it steady, for you, but you can hear the tremor betraying his fear.
Another spasm of pain seizes you, sharper this time, and a small whimper escapes your lips before you can bite it back. Your body stiffens, muscles locking in a futile attempt to ward off the agony. But Remus is there, his hand pressing down on your shoulder, anchoring you to reality. "I know," he says softly, voice steady despite the worry lining his face. "Breathe with me, love."
James leans closer, his arm curling protectively around your waist as much as the cramped space allows. His lips press against your forehead, then find your cheek, leaving a trail of comforting warmth. "We're right here, sweetheart," he whispers into your ear, his breath stirring your hair. "You've got us. Just hold on."
Sirius leans in, his lips brushing your knuckles, a whisper of a kiss that speaks volumes of unspoken emotion. It's not the type of kiss he would prefer, but it's all he dare give you now, when you're so vulnerable, so fragile. His hand remains on yours, fingers tightening just slightly, as if to reassure you—and perhaps himself—that he's still here, still with you.
But the pain returns, surging like a tidal wave, and you brace yourself as it crashes over you. It’s a storm you cannot weather, a battle you cannot win, and each pulse of agony makes your vision blur, your grip on reality weaken. The world narrows, dark spots creeping into the corners of your eyes, threatening to consume you whole.
"Just focus on us," Remus murmurs, his voice a soothing balm against the searing pain. "You're doing so well..."
His words wrap around you like a blanket, but they can't quite stifle the tremors racking your body. You want to believe him, yet each breath feels like inhaling fire, and your limbs lie heavy and unresponsive. Panic flutters in your chest, threatening to consume the sliver of resolve you're desperately clinging to.
"We're not leaving you," James promises, his hand brushing gently against your cheek, thumb tracing the curve of your bone as if he could wipe away the hurt with his touch. He leans over, pressing a kiss to your forehead, and it's filled with such tenderness that it anchors you amidst the chaos.
The pain doesn't recede—it ebbs and flows like a cruel tide, relentless and unforgiving—but their presence is a lifeline, a beacon in the dark storm you're lost in. You're not alone. For now, that has to be enough.

10 Anticipated BLs for 2024
Since I'm excited for ALL the GLs (Pluto, 23.5, Sunshine in the Wind, Chaser Game, Be Mine, y todo!), I'm making my list of the 10 BLs I'm excited for this year with brief reasons why I'm looking forward to them. In my normal fashion, I cheat my way into having more. All except one is Thai because Thailand loves to tease series three years in advance, then never make them, but I strongly believe these are coming:
The Next Prince
Zee continues to never play a poor person, and a trailer is supposed to drop in the first quarter of this year. I never knew there was so many fencers on BL Tumblr, so I'm looking forward to everyone's commentary on how well the characters poke with their sticks or whatever fencers do.
Jack & Joker: U Steal My Heart
It's a heist BL. It has YinWar. It has Prom x Mark. It has Bonz. It's Dee Hup House (we got beef). It's Director Tee and probably Cinematographer Jim. It might have color coding. There is not one thing I can find wrong with this series. It's perfect on paper, and I'm praying that translates well to the screen.
Spare Me Your Mercy
Like that lady in Titanic, I've been waiting 80 years for this series (give me a minute to cry about MaxTul), and it's finally near! I'm getting JJ & Tor in a Dr. Sammon piece, who I feel writes "Be Gay, Do Crime" very well, so I'll be forgiving any of these two gays' wrongs including murder, attempted murder, contemplating murder, and murdering each other in the bedroom (ahhhh!).
Wandee Goodday
Golf from The Eclipse is directing. It's about Muay Thai. It has an older doctor and a younger boxer who start off as bed friends (and I think one is actually a virgin). It has color coding. It has me already seated and waiting with popcorn, and I think it might be the first offering that will be delivered from GMMTV's 2024 lineup.
Sequels: Choco Milk Shake 2, Unintentional Love Story 2, My Doctor
Is Choco Milk Shake 2 gonna finally give me poly? Probably not, but I hope My Doctor brings the same heat the side couple did in Be Mine, Superstar, and the side couple getting the spotlight in Unintentional Love Story 2 will also make my side-couple-supremacy heart very happy this year.
Live in Love
It looks color coded. That's it. That's the reason. Keeping my expectations low because it might not get made since this is Thailand's favorite game.
Red Peafowl
The character reveals were absolute chaos, so I'm hoping that chaos transfers over to the actual series because it can either be a mess or a masterpiece, but it cannot be mediocre with Max, Cooheart, Boun, Mek, and Yacht as supports. Plus, it has color coding and a bird that is quickly becoming a Tumblr god.
Love Upon a Time
Even though it is a historical queer series, which means it could be sad, I think Domundi will keep the sass, so James' character won't be crying in the 1600s club but instead eating fruit seductively to encourage Net's character to put his homosexual skills into practice instead of simply theorizing about them, which is something I need more of. Plus, it has color coding.
Love Puzzle
This is one that might not get made because . . . Thailand. It's connected to Chains of Heart, but I don't care because the cast looks good and Poppy is gonna finally get to kiss a homie. If this doesn't get made, I will cry thug tears. It's 2024. Poppy deserves to kiss a man already.
My Stand-In
I don't understand the plot, but it doesn't matter because Pepzi and Khom are directing, and in case that means nothing, those were KinnPorsche's directors! Then, it has Up and Poom as the leads, plus a stacked supporting cast. I'm here. I'm queer. And I'm ready to be served.
Honorable Mention: Peaceful Property
It's about los espookys and features Tay and New. Will it be a QL? The streets are saying no, but all the characters are color coded, and all's I'm saying is what would be the point of color coding them if I ain't getting a BL main couple and a GL side couple? It's already canon to me.
Bonus: MosBank & JoongDunk
MosBank had like eighty projects announced for 2023, and I got NONE! Big Dragon 2, Big Dragon: The Movie, SunsetxVibes, where you at?! Y Journey: Stay Like a Local and Club Friday do not count. I don't want to watch their horror movie, but gosh darnit, if that comes out before everything else, I just might.
And I am a JoongDunk fan first, and a human second. Give my boys a gym BL already, GMMTV!
#10 Anticipated BLs for 2024#I've made my list#and I'm checking it twice#thai bls#I'm excited for ALL the gls

Also, I genuinely want y'all to look at the quality of these hairs that are being paywalled. I'm not trying to be mean, but I've noticed a low quality in their meshes and textures for some time now, and I want to point some of them out that are visible in the preview pictures so that y'all can clock this in the future (hopefully before paying).
Some of the issues I see are very stretched meshes leading to muddied textures, obvious but easily fixable clipping, bulky and sloppily scaled mesh parts, and lazily duplicated mesh parts (that not only look identical across the hair, but can add a lot to the poly count). And if this is all visible in the preview, it is 100% guaranteed to look worse in game. I also know this because there's only so many black EA hairs that you can frankenmesh, so I've worked with all of these same meshes/textures at one point or another. They are visibly very stretched, and there is no excuse for them to look like this and be paywalled.
I used to use josheoh's hairs in the brief period of time that they were a free creator, and I stopped downloading due to these quality issues. If they were still free, I wouldn't even mention it. But these are paywalled black hairs, during black history month, that were evidently not put together with much care at all. The only thing I can think of is that it was a quickly made cash grab, and that's extremely disappointing. Unless the quality is unintentional and they're just bad at cc making, but even then, well... the whole paywalling thing is pretty distasteful on its own. Please do better!
Edit: I just want to add to this post, that I know they do commissions. Based on the consistent quality issues I've noticed from them for the entire time they've been posting cc without any noticeable improvement, I do not recommend commissioning them. Please be careful with your money and look elsewhere.
#ceci speaks#text#the patreon issue#negative#joshseoh#sadly i wouldnt even dl these for free#i just ignored the quality issues for a long time cos well theyre not the only one with quality issues#but the way theyve been advertising their black hairstyles specifically this month like a trend and then coming out with this#its just kinda gross man#literally really trying to be nice guys#pls dont send hate btw we are adults thx

The game where one of the levels is straight up mental torture, as the villain forces Shadow to relive the worst day of this life to push him to remember that he actually killed all the GUN soldiers on the ARK, is also the game where you can bash a stop sign in an alien’s face and where Shadow backflips away from his low poly clones.
Yes, some of the hilarity is unintentional, but at the end of the day the game is just funny. I also personally love the dark parts like the Pure Dark endings or the Semi Hero-Dark ending because I think they’re ripe fanfiction material, precisely because they’re rather somber. Personal opinion, but ShTH is a very charming game in its silliness.
‘06 is another game with a lot of dark parts but much less levity (I can only think of the Trial of Love and the kick to the head), and IMO it’s nowhere near as charming.
To add to it, there's a scene where Shadow basically does meta commentary of how dumb and silly the game plot is (The "Nothing about this makes sense, was it real?"
The game where if you do all the dark missions in the first handful of levels, the game directs you to Cryptic Castle where Amy beseeches Shadow to help her find Cream and her lost pet Chao, and if you do that and then do a hero mission run after that the game calls that path The Power Of Love.
The game where one of the guns is just shooting Omochaos face as bullets, and one of the guns is modeled after Billy Hatcher.
Where all of Eggmans robots guns look like fisher price toys.
The game ends with Knuckles comedically chasing Eggman into the distance and everyone laughs about it. The game literally has a sitcom ass Everybody Laughs ending.
Again, I shouldn't have to specify this but everyone else is going to impose THEIR biases about media analysis onto me even though I never said what they're accusing me of saying: the game is NOT a parody. It DOES expect us to take stuff in its plot seriously. The game does not play a banana peel slip and fall sound effect when it shows a flashback of Maria getting shot, it plays a somber piano piece because a little girl child got shot and that is a tragedy we are meant to take seriously.
The game has silly absurd shit in it on purpose that they put in knowing it was silly and dumb and that we'd laugh at it. It also has serious depressing shit that is tragic and melancholic and supposed to make us think about fucked up stuff. Pointing out the objective fact of one is not inherently stating the complete lack of the other. Y'all the ones with a bias not me.

bikes & blood; chapter VI
{poly!lost boys x oc}
word count: 3400 rating: explicit chapter warnings: an unintentional mixture of timelines, and NOSTALGIA (I'm so desensitized that I don't know whats bad and whats not) bikes & blood masterlist
tag list(feel free to leave a comment if you want to be added to the list <3) : @henhouse-horrors
"𝐀 𝐩𝐢𝐞𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐚, 𝐀𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐚. 𝐈𝐭'𝐬 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐬."
--
Marko, Paul and Dwayne's howlers of delight echoed across the shoreline of Santa Carla. Despite the two having left before them, they'd slowed their pace and continued to weave from one side of the beach to the other. Paul's cheeky grin etched across his face as he pulled ahead of Dwayne and disappeared into the tree line. Amara's hair whipped around behind her, tangling itself as Marko followed Dwayne into the tree line ghosting the beach.
A soft, adrenaline-filled smile upturned the corners of Amara's mouth. The moonlight above and the headlights mounted on the front of the bikes—the only sense of guidance as they weaved their way through the trees. Amara's grip on Marko's waist tightened as he swerved to avoid a fallen tree branch, righting himself as smoothly as if he knew it'd been there all along. The air growing colder the deeper they drove into the forest, the smell of salt filling the air and their lungs.
The faintest brush of sea spray across Amara's skin paired with the sound of waves rumbling nearby filled the starless sky; the ash-grey clouds coating the sky in a never-ending blanket of darkness. Dwayne and Paul's lights flickered from sight as they maneuvered their way through the trees with ease; missing rocks, bushes and fallen trees with an air of practised calm. Paul glanced back over his shoulder at Amara before he disappeared over the crest of a small sloping hill, his eyes dancing with delight.
Panic seized Amara's heart as the boy she'd only known for a day vanished. Worry nipping at her gut as the smell of the ocean grew stronger. The crashing of waves louder and thundering as Marko chuckled to himself; the vibrations rippling from his chest and into her own. Amara watched from behind Marko's shoulder as Dwayne disappeared over the crest of the hill, his ebony-brown locks billowing in the wind. Marko sped up with a quick twist of his hand as he cleared the crested hill with a small, easy jump, Paul's amused grin etched into his face as he and Dwayne waited for the pair.
Amara's stomach rolled with unease, the crashing of waves thunderous to her ears as the earth several metres away from Dwayne and Paul disappeared with an abrupt drop. Marko stopped beside them and quickly killed the engine of his bike, his Cheshire-like grin plastered across his face as he watched Amara stare down at the impassable drop. Amara tore her eyes from the edge of the cliff face and frowned as a lone bike sat vacant of its rider. Paul all but pranced to where Amara sat behind Marko, helping her off of the back of Marko's bike and towards a set of old, beaten-down stairs that clung to the cliff face.
Amara clutched onto Paul's hand as he led her down the rickety stairs. The wooden staircase groaned and creaked beneath her feet, the faintest sway to the steps enticing her heart to pound within her chest. Paul's hand squeezed Amara's gently as he glanced down at her with a sense of surety in his eyes. Dwayne and Marko followed behind them, talking amongst themselves in voices too low for Amara to hear over the crashing of the waves.
Anxiety crept into her veins as Paul let go of her hand and disappeared into a gap in the rock face. Amara's senses kicked into overdrive; one half of her mind screaming at her to run while the other urged her to stay. A frown marred Amara's face as she hesitated, eyes narrowed at the gap in the rock face. Dwayne brushed past her shoulder with mirth in his umber-brown eyes, sparing Amara an encouraging look over his shoulder before he disappeared into the entrance of the rock face.
Marko's patchwork jacket brushed past Amara's shoulder as he walked past her and stopped beside the coarse, creamy rock face. He leant against the rocks, a gentle smile across his face as he waited. "You coming?" He asked, gesturing with his head towards the gap within the rocks.
Amara paused, eyeing the gap within the rocks with unease as she contemplated turning around and walking back through the forest to the boardwalk. Marko waited for her answer, patiently leaning against the rock face as though he had all the time in the world. Amara threw a glance back up the wooden stairs behind her, the crashing of the waves against the cliff face filled her ears as she breathed in a deep breath of air and turned back to face Marko.
"Lead the way." She breathed out with as much courage as she could muster.
Marko's eyebrows rose, doubt seeping into his hazel irises. "You sure? Because I can take you back to the boardwalk if you're uncomfortable."
"You'd take me back to the boardwalk? Just like that?" Amara asked, clicking her fingers together as though to emphasise how he'd take her back to the boardwalk.
"You've only got to say the words, Amara. I'll be more than happy to walk you back up those stairs and take you back to the boardwalk."
"Just like that?"
He nodded his head as a soft smile spread across his boyish features. "Just like that." He paused, lifting his fingers to his mouth as his eyes studied Amara intently. "I promise you that we'll never hurt you, not now or even in the future."
Amara's brows furrowed at his choice of words, dismissing it with a swift shake of her head as though it'd rid her of her thoughts. Amara breathed in a deep breath of air to calm the nerves that'd begun to build. She knew, despite having only known Marko for a short amount of time, that he meant what he said, and that soothed the anxiety that had crept in. Foolish or not, Amara followed him into the gap of the rock face when he turned away from her and slipped through the sizeable gap.
Small stones skittered across the dank, dimly lit tunnel of the rock face as Amara's shoes sent them tumbling across the sandy floor. She squinted her eyes as she cautiously inched closer to the faint light emitting from the end of the tunnel. Voices and laughter echoed off the rough walls of the tunnel, her eyes widening in pleasant surprise as the dank tunnel opened up into a large, spaciously lit cave.
As Amara's fawn-brown eyes wandered the room in awe, she soaked in the Victorian styled ruins before her with wonder filled eyes. An askew chandelier hung from the ceiling. Its ornately designed crystals chipped or broken upon the cave floor. The base of which hung dislodged from the roof by a thick power cable. A broken fountain sat within the middle of the room, its once intricately designed tiers crumbled beneath that of a second chandelier that had fallen from the ceiling—pieces of shattered crystals filling the base of the fountain. Barrels filled with fire illuminated the cave, reddish-orange flames licking at the metal as though eager to escape its confines.
A large painting of a man hung up on the rocky wall, varying trinkets scattered around the cave floor and surrounding crevices. Shell wind-chimes hung from the ceiling nearest to three beaten-down couches placed beneath the fraying portrait. Paul and Dwayne lounging comfortably within the worn couches beside that of an old, ancient-looking wheelchair. David sat perched within the uncomfortable-looking chair, sparing Amara a fleeting glance before continuing on with his conversation with Dwayne. Marko sat off to the side further back in the cave, a messily arranged bookshelf and book stacks scattered around him. An old stereo left beside him on a small jutting out ledge, the sheerest of curtains brushing against the boombox as the faintest breeze blew across the cave.
Amara peered over Marko's shoulder to the unused and seemingly forgotten bed, her eyebrows coming together as Amara wondered why the mattress looked so vacant and unused. Amara sat down beside Marko, who held a small white bird within his hands, running his fingers ever so gently across the sleekness of the pigeon's feathers with care. His hazel eyes tracking the movement of his fingers as though memorising every stroke of his hand down the bird's back.
David's voice rang out across the spacious cave, both Amara and Marko's heads raising from the small bird in unison. "This used to be one of the hottest resorts in Santa Carla about eighty-five years ago." David paused as he scrutinised the cave. "Shame they built it on a fault line. Because, when the big one hit San Francisco in nineteen oh six. This place took a header straight into the crack."
Paul, Dwayne and Marko each wore grins of bemusement as though they'd heard the same explanation time and time again. A sense of déjà vu creeping through the group of bikers as Amara looked around the Victorian styled room with interest. Her gaze coming to rest on that same empty room, left forgotten at the back of the cave to collect dust.
"You live here?" Amara asked.
David nodded his head in response, glacier-blue eyes filled with a sense of cool calm. "We do."
"What about your parents? Wouldn't they be worried that you live here?"
The biker's laughter filled the cave as they all shared a knowing look with the other; Dwayne's lips twitching as though he was fighting the urge to smile. Marko peered down at Amara with a soft smile, chuckling lightly to himself as her eyebrows furrowed with confusion.
"Our parents couldn't care less, Amara. Then again, they never were too concerned about us in the first place." David explains calmly.
Amara nodded her head slowly as she let that piece of information sink in. "So, it's just you four?"
Paul nodded his head, sky-blue eyes alight with happiness as he rose from his seat and came to stand in front of her. Taking Amara's hand in his own, he led her over to the worn couches beside the fountain.
"Now it is," Paul uttered as they sat down on the soft couches.
Amara frowned. "Now it is?"
"We used to live here with two others but that didn't work out." Marko piped up from his spot in front of the bookshelf.
Amara hummed in acknowledgement, letting Marko's words hang in the air before Paul broke the silence with his muttered explanation. "Because of some guy."
"A guy?"
David glared at Paul, shaking his head in exasperation as he rubbed his face with his gloved hand. Amara watched, mildly amused as the platinum-blonde peered up at the ceiling as though praying for some semblance of patience. Marko's lips upturned into a cheeky grin as he noticed the way Amara bit her lip to suppress her smile, shaking his head as he let the small white pigeon go and crossed the room to sit down beside her.
"And what a mistake that was," David uttered lowly, tearing his icy stare away from the cave ceiling.
Amara's brows came together as Paul muttered something about a dog beneath his breath. Marko's eyes narrowing into a glared as he leaned across the back of the couch and smacked Paul upon the shoulder. A soft chuckle slipped past her lips as Amara watched the two interact—every little thing they did reminding her more and more of siblings fighting amongst themselves. Marko's hazel eyes hardened as Amara caught the ending of Dwayne's muttered response.
The small, curly blonde-haired biker leant down and picked up a small pebble as Amara blinked in mute shock; trying and failing to hide the amusement across her face with their antics. Amara's lips parted in shock as Marko tossed the small greying pebble at Dwayne's chest. A triumphant grin etched across his face as the brunette levelled him with a deathly glare. Paul chuckled as Marko leant back into the couch, resting his arm across the back of the seat while throwing Dwayne a mocking smirk from over the top of Amara's head.
David shook his head as a disappointingly fed up sigh spilled from his mouth. Icy-blue eyes watching the entire interaction as though he'd seen it many times before. David's eyes met Amara's, his eyebrows lifting as a smirk lifted the edges of his mouth.
"Marko, food." He ordered smoothly, blue eyes never straying from Amara's as he held her stare.
Marko huffed, glancing down at Amara quickly before he stood from the couch and disappeared down the dimly lit tunnel. His footsteps echoed throughout the cave, the sound of the waves crashing against the rock face barely decipherable from within the cavernous home. Paul fidgeted for several moments, searching through the pockets of his pants before a sound of triumph bubbled from the excitable blonde. Amara turned her head toward him, fawn-brown eyes alight with regale as his Atlantic-blue eyes met her own.
Paul twirled the pre-rolled joint between his fingers, dirty-blonde eyebrows wiggling as he pulled a lighter from his pocket and lit the pasty-white joint. Tipping his head back with a delighted smile across his face as the smoke filled his lungs with one inhale and left them in another cloud of smoke.
"Tell me, Amara. How long have you been in Santa Carla?" David asked from his position in the ancient wheelchair.
"Not long. I've been here for three days now."
"What brings you to Santa Carla, of all places? Not a lot of people have heard of the famous 'Murder Capital of the World'." He drawls, toying with the cigarette that was tucked behind his ear.
Amara's nose scrunched up with displeasure, the disdain she held towards her parent's divorce clear within her expression. "My parents divorced. Mum stayed in Phoenix with my older brother. Dad and I moved to Santa Carla."
Paul nodded his head, inhaling another lungful of smoke as he rested his head upon the back of the couch, his arm slung across the back of the chair while his eyes darted from rock crevice to rock crevice of the ceiling.
Amara's eyes flitted over to Dwayne as he sat up on the couch across from her, elbows coming to rest upon his thighs while his umber-brown eyes locked with her own; interest swirling within his dark irises.
"How old are you, Amara?" Dwayne asked softly, the deep timbre of his voice calming and pleasant to hear.
"Eighteen."
"And, your father lets you wander the boardwalk alone?"
"Why shouldn't he?"
"It's dangerous after dark in Santa Carla."
Amara arched an eyebrow doubtfully as his words sent a sense of déjà vu through her—reminding Amara of what her mother had said before they'd left for Santa Carla. And, just like her father, Amara plastered a carefree smile across her face and spoke. "There's nothing to be afraid of in Santa Carla."
David's disdainful laugh filled the cave, his glacier-blue eyes dancing with amusement as Paul lifted his head from the back of the couch to look down at Amara in surprise.
"Nothing to be afraid of? Oh, sweetheart. There's always something to be afraid of after dark." David drawled as Amara turned her head to face him.
Amara shrugged dismissively. David's expression turning to stone as he bristled from her dismissal. Amara's head turned in the direction of the cave entrance as footsteps echoed to meet her ears, Marko's beaming face emerging from the shadow's seconds later—a large brown box held within his hands as he maneuvered his way through the cave with ease.
"Who's hungry?" Marko questioned in a sing-song type of voice, hazel eyes flickering over towards David briefly as a small frown marred his face.
"Me!" Paul exclaimed. Jolting up from the couch in a rush to get to the food, his shoulder knocking into Amara's as he scrambled off the chair and snatched the box from Marko's hands.
Marko merely shook his head without a single trace of surprise in his eyes, shrugging his shoulders as he followed the taller blonde back to the couch. Paul released a sound from the back of his throat akin to that of a whine, pouting as he pulled a carton of Chinese food from the box.
"Chinese? Again?"
Marko ruffled the pouting blonde's hair, sitting down beside Amara on the couch as he leant over and pulled the cardboard box from Paul's lap into his own. "Quit your whining, Paul. You know it's the only place open after dark." Marko scolded, pulling two cartons of Chinese from the box before tossing a box of Chinese towards Dwayne, who caught it with ease.
Marko passed Amara one of the unopened boxes of food. The mouth-watering smell of Chinese spices and sauces greeting her senses as Amara opened the medium-sized white box. A hushed laugh fell from Amara's lips as her mind drifted to a story her father had told her about a carton of rice he'd once believed had been real live maggots. The harmless, unmoving special fried rice eliciting a soft rumble from Amara's stomach.
Marko and Paul chuckled lightly at the sound. The two blondes digging into their cartons of food like it was their last meal on earth, nudging the other playfully as they ate. Amara shook her head as her eyes lifted to meet David's, his brows furrowed as he watched Amara closely—his icy-blue eyes trying to decipher Amara from across the room.
"What'd you think of Santa Carla so far, Amara?" Paul questioned with a half-finished mouthful of food.
Amara shook her head as she deadpanned the blonde who sat beside her. "It's been a refreshing difference to Phoenix."
"So, you didn't like Phoenix?" Marko asked.
"It was okay, but something about Santa Carla is... inviting. It seems to appeal to everyone that comes down to the boardwalk."
"Like you're supposed to be there, right?" Paul pipes up, lifting another spoonful of rice to his mouth as he waited for Amara to respond.
Amara nodded her head as she chewed her mouthful of rice, swallowing before she spoke again. "Oddly enough, yes. The boardwalk has a type of allure for everyone. Something captures someone's attention and there's always something to feed that curiosity."
"Sounds like a siren's call to me," David uttered from the wheelchair, chopsticks in hand as he lifted a mouthful of noodles to his mouth.
Amara chuffed with amusement, musing over the platinum-blonde's words as she ate another spoonful of rice. "Maybe you're right, but something tells me that Santa Carla is the city for the lost."
"City of the lost. Murder Capital of the World. It's all the same thing, different but still alike." David spoke with surety.
"I think people come to Santa Carla in search of a place to belong. Either they find what they're looking for within the boardwalk or they become one of the many missing persons of Santa Carla." Amara paused as she mulled over her own words. "And maybe that's why it's the Murder Capital of the World."
David lifted his eyebrows, fascination seeping into his chilling irises. "What do you mean?"
Amara sighed, raking her hand through her hair as she tried to find another way to describe the way she thought Santa Carla worked and what made it the feared 'Murder Capital of the World'. "You come to Santa Carla in hopes of something new. Something better, right?"
David nodded his head, interest well and truly peaked as he leant forward in the ancient wheelchair. "Right."
"And, you either find what you were looking for or a piece of you dies when you realise that nothing within this world can bring you happiness, surety or a sense of calm."
David hummed, glacier-blue eyes filling with a look that Amara couldn't decipher as a satisfied smile spread across his face. The intimidating aura that surrounded him easing slightly as he seemed to see Amara in a new light.
"A piece of you dies when you enter Santa Carla, Amara. It's just if they can save you in time that counts."

Hi! I was wondering if you could do a Poly! NSFW Headcanons with Todoroki and Deku. Thank you!
a/n: thx for the request anon <3
_____
These two are both VERY into pet play. While Midoriya is more vocal about his desire to see you all dressed up with a cute pair of ears and a pink collar, the subtle smirk plastered across Shoto’s face when he has you on your hands and knees is undeniable.
They’ve got the cash as high ranking pro heroes―you know they’re about to spend it on all the best accessories. The ears are nearly identical in colour to your hair, making them look as realistic as possible. You bet there’s a matching tail plug in the mix, and yes, they are going to pull on it to get your attention as they fuck you.
Being with them at the same time is very conflicting. Midoriya isn’t into degradation, instead laying on the praise heavy. Shoto on the other hand isn’t as nice. Polar opposites, it’s enough to give you whiplash.
You’ll be bouncing on Midoriya’s cock―well, it’s more like he’s doing all the work for you. There’ll be bruises on your hips when all is said and done from how hard he’s gripping you as he rams himself into your sopping heat. The whole time he’s breathily spewing praise about how cute you look riding his cock, taking him so nicely. He thinks your crying is from how good he’s making you feel, not the fact that his hands are threatening to crush your bones beneath them.
Shoto’s taking you from behind, counteracting everything his partner says. Voice spine chillingly low in your ear, calling you such a pretty little slut, mocking you for getting off to his relentless fucking just as much from that of Midoriya’s beneath you. Lays in hard spanks when you try to deny it, partly because he doesn’t appreciate the disobedience, but also because the way you clench down on his cock feels so fucking amazing.
“Fuck, you look amazing like that baby. We’re makin’ you feel so good, aren’t we Shoto?”
“‘Course we are―look at her. Fuckin’ slut’s acting like a bitch in heat.”
Wanna get in their good graces? Go along with it, be submissive and they’ll be much more lenient with you. Bonus points if you get into the role―sitting pretty in their lap, letting them toy with you at the end of a long day. Shoto especially loves it when you let him use you like a stress ball, taking all he has to give. He might really put you through it, but he takes such good care of you after, kind of making up for the unintentional burns sustained when he can’t hold back.
It still continues outside of when they’re drilling you into the mattress. If you’ve been bad they’ll keep you in just some skimpy pastel lingerie, a leash fastened onto the leather collar to drive the point home.
Generally speaking, you're almost constantly adorned with either a collar or fake cat ears―whatever they’re feeling more into on any given day. Even when you’re not dressed up, there’s still a constant power imbalance, and if you slip up they’ll be more than happy to reacquaint you with that.

ahhh character ask thign! zetsu, rock lee, konan, kakuzu (u can break it up in2 different posts if u wish)
fuck yeah lamo
zetsu
favorite thing about them
it’s a tie between the plant theme and the two ppl in one body theme. i like plants so thats just bias, and i think it’s kinda funny how they put the big bad and the dumdum fool in the same character.
least favorite thing about them
KISHI LET MY MAN FLOP. YOU DON’T HAVE TO DRAW HIM UGLY ON PURPOSE. SMH.
favorite line
I don’t know for certain if this is the exact translation, but in the old subbed shippuden, the samurai captain asked “2B” and he replied “to be ,.,,or not to be???” but it was a password and the captain killed him but anyways dumbass king ily.
brOTP
Tobi/Obito. I will always stand by them being besties ever since the cave episode. I have so much to say about the potential antics that never occurred but like, you tell me. A wrinkly evil ancestor man, some kid going through puberty, and 2 plant aliens. That’s low budget dreamworks kids movie material.
OTP
Tbh i’ve asked myself this but i still don’t know lmao. I almost never really ship stuff hh.
nOTP
i’ve seen a lot of gaara x zetsu stuff before for some reason and thats kinda weird,.thats really messed just like,.,,from an age gap stand point
random headcanon
i draw him like this usually but like,.,.,he’s gotta eat somehow and white zetsus got wack flat teeth can’t bite so black zetsus side of the mouth is like a fuckin bear trap, he just shrinks the goop over his teeth most of the time.
unpopular opinion
well,.,.i mean,.,.liking zetsu is unpopular enough already,.,.,,.saying dumb shit like zetsu is pretty,.,..,.,.mega unpopular
song i associate with them
hm,,,the two tones of Dunk On Me by blood cultures
favorite picture of them
small. at peace.
he is baby boy.
rock lee:
favorite thing about them
I like how different he was from all the other characters, like, both in visual design and development. Also he’s based off Bruce Lee which was the first thing I noticed when I saw him and I was like to my sibling “yeah that guys gonna win.”
least favorite thing about them
Nothing?? Idk. I can’t really think of much.
favorite line
The ‘Stronger than the me of yesterday’ line :D
brOTP
Sakura!! Strong as heck squad!! I wish there was more interaction with them after the chunin exams and stuff. They’d def have insane workouts together.
Also the rest of Team Gai, of course.
OTP
I think Lee and Gaara is pretty cute, also Lee and Neji. But at the same time consider Lee, Neji and Tenten poly.
nOTP
Uhhhhhh i’m not sure??
random headcanon
Good cook rock lee!! He eats well!! He makes good food!! It’s always really spicy though!!
unpopular opinion
I don’t know if I have enough opinions of Rock Lee for this one :P
song i associate with them
hh for whatever reason it’s this old cantonese cover cjnkoijsd
favorite picture of them
owo
konan:
favorite thing about them
her jutsu is like,.,.maximum aesthetic. it’s literally so pretty like imagine being this cool.
pretty sure whomever invented jutsus had just this in mind for their invention, all that other stuff was unintentional
least favorite thing about them
i refuse to believe konan died in that fight with obito. i refuse.
favorite line
no specific quote but i think its neat how she uses flower metaphors a lot :P also when she said “600 000 000 000 paper bombs. I do plan on killing you”
brOTP
Feel like she could get along w/ Itachi for some reason?? They’re both kinda quiet and soft spoken before being roped into doing bad stuff because of their relationships. Feel like they could relate to each other.
Also Kisame maybe, this one I can’t really explain but I feel like they could be good friends.
I’ve joked about sasori and konan becoming the friends that are besties after initially hating each other, but that was more in my au
OTP
Once again,.,.i don’t know
nOTP
I don’t really like Konan x Obito tbh. I don’t understand it. Don’t really get the hype over Konan x Hidan or Konan x Pein either
random headcanon
Konan gardens!! Feel like she has a secret garden hidden in Ame somewhere w/ roses and lilies and those creeper vines and a pond w/ some koi fish and and
unpopular opinion
A lot of folks think Konans the mom friend, but that doesn’t really make sense to me?? She’s only ever sorta nice to Nagato, who’s like,.,the closest half alive person to her. U might get some gruff kindness, and thats like, ,.kinda it.
song i associate with them
Hhh I Saw An Angel
favorite picture of them
kakuzu:
favorite thing about them
once again, cool jutsu and aesthetic. also hes kinda a more realistic villain, or at leadg more understandable from our world perspective - doing bad things for money
least favorite thing about them
why’d he die so soon like,.,.,they had so much buildup and he seemed really powerful but he got dunked on by narutos rasenshuriken in 2 tries like,., it didn’t make sense. definitely wish there was more exposition on kakuzus backstory too, although i haven’t watched the creation of the akatsuki
favorite line
“even hell runs on money”
brOTP
pein kakuzu and konan taking care important shit (pein runs the akatsuki, kakuzu manages finances, konan runs ame lets be real all pein does in there is talk abt his god complex), so i propose: old soul friends who bond over being tired as fuck.
also kakuzu and sasori, because both their partners are annoying, and they initally bond over that before realizing they are each others long lost platonic soulmate and that their grouchy personalities and irritability were made for each other.
i was,,.,only half joking there but i just realized this is very probable.
OTP
eh, not really. he seems kinda like he might not be comfortable or ready for that after the stuff he’s been through.
nOTP
once more, i don’t really know :P
random headcanon
konans not the mom friend, and kakuzu isn’t totally the mom friend either, but he has grandpa vibes. probably knits.
oh wait fuck never mentioned in hidans, but trans immortal kakuzu and hidan of course.
unpopular opinion
as with lees, i don’t know if i have enough opinions for this. maybe the brOTP’s lmao. never really seen content of them.
song i associate with them
Dead Inside by Younger Hunger :P kinda cliche though.
favorite picture of them
this particular part was rlly cool

Character Headcannon: Rumplestiltskin/The Dark One
1: sexuality headcanon
Rumplestiltskin: definitely a low-ley bi. I can see spinner!rumple maybe having a little crush on a fellow sheep farmer (someone give me a sheep bros au). He would never discriminate on who someone falls in love with, especially after being raised by the Aunts.
The Dark One: hmm...he’s tricky. The Dark One is someone who uses close-proximity manipulation to get what he wants, but there’s never really a sexual motive behind it. I’d try for poly-bi.
2: otp
Rumplestiltskin
The Dark One
3: brotp
Rumplestiltskin: That’s hard because by the end of the series Rumple really didn’t have friends (fuck you writers). But if I had to get high off markers and pretend, definitely Alice, David, Regina, or even Emma.
The Dark One: Jefferson all the way. I would sell a lung to get a miniseries with these two maniacs.
4: notp
Rumplestiltskin: Zelena. Get that evil bitch away.
The Dark One: Zelena, The Blue Fairy, any bitch who tried to hurt him.
5: first headcanon that pops into my head
Rumplestiltskin: Still being the DO post-Gideon, he never slept, so he would take care of the bulk of Gideon’s nighttime needs.
The Dark One: he’s a knitter. Got to do something when you're an immortal. He knits tiny hats and clothes for all the babies he deals for.
6: one way in which I relate to this character
Rumplestiltskin: I don’t have confidence in my self, and I’m alway second-guessing every move I make.
The Dark One: I rather people be freaked out by me than want to be my friend.
7: thing that gives me second-hand embarrassment about this character
Rumplestiltskin: Honestly, the lying. I know it stems from fear and it’s unintentional, but Rumple never let himself be loved so he never knew how to open up to others.
The Dark One: LET BELLE LOVE YOU YOU JACKASS
8: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?
Rumplestiltskin: problematic cinnamon roll
The Dark One: problamatic fave

Needle-Free Blood Drawing Devices Market 2027 Sales Overview, Opportunities, Demands, Market Share and Growth Analysis
Venipuncture or venepuncture is the process of obtaining blood by gaining intravenous access. This process is used for many purposes such for blood sampling and for removing excess blood for the treatment of polycythemia Vera, an ailment that results in elevated blood volume or hematocrit. In healthcare, this process is performed by physicians, laboratory scientists, or phlebotomists. There are mainly two types of venipuncture, namely those conducted with needle and syringe and those with vacuum tubes. Both these techniques have their own disadvantages, with the patient suffering from excruciating pain in both scenarios.
Request for Sample Report: https://www.coherentmarketinsights.com/insight/request-sample/120
Needle-free blood drawing devices were invented as a relatively pain-free alternative to conventionally used devices. The needle-free blood drawing device operates by providing a micro-particle with momentum, which then penetrates the adjacent dermal tissue. An attached negative pressure barrel then draws blood from the site. A healthcare professional places the device, similar to the size of a golf ball, on the patient's upper arm, subsequently pushing a button. This push activates a number of thin needles that penetrate the topmost layers of the skin. This novel technology is expected to gain significant growth traction in the near future. According to Agency for Healthcare Research & Quality, in the U.S., around 800 blood draws are performed every minute. As imperative as their use be, blood draws are cumbersome and strenuous for patients and clinicians alike. According to Velano Vascular, around 28% of adult venipunctures and a staggering 44% of pediatric venipunctures need additional sticks to draw blood productively. According to American Journal of Infection Control, medical practitioners in the U.S. sustain from an average of 200 needle-related injuries per day. Besides the considerable physical as well as emotional toll of these injuries, unintentional needle stick injuries result into an additional cost of about US$ 50 million per year.
Needle-Free Blood Drawing Devices Market Taxonomy
On the basis of product type, the global needle-free blood drawing devices market is classified into:
Hand held devices
Wearable devices
On the basis of end user, the global needle-free blood drawing devices market is classified into:
Hospitals
Diagnostic Centers
Personal Clinics
Others
Increasing incidence of fatalities that can be avoided by early detection and treatment, especially in emerging economies, is a major factor fueling demand for effective blood sampling and tests. Demand for blood sampling would differ across region depending on the incidence rate of diseases. Nonetheless, this upsurge in demand for blood sampling is projected to fuel the need of blood drawing, thereby augmenting the growth of the needle-free blood draw devices market.
Needle-Free Blood Drawing Devices Market Outlook –Low cost and reduced risk factors leading to greater adoption of needle-free blood drawing devices over tradition blood-drawing techniques
Regulatory standards as well as safety policies govern the global needle-free blood drawing devices market. Approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is mandatory for promotion and use of needle-free blood drawing devices. Companies such as Velano Vascular have obtained the same and offer needle-free blood drawing devices to hospitals and other application sectors. Increase in health awareness among consumers has resulted increasing number of preventive and periodic health checkup, including blood tests. This creates a highly conducive environment for growth of the needle free blood drawing devices market. Moreover, these devices offer ease of use over conventional needle based blood drawing devices and are more conducive for home use. For instance, management of diabetes will become much easier. Patients with diabetes mellitus need to get their blood sugar levels tested very frequently. By using needle-free blood drawing device, the process will become much more user friendly and painless. The product is still at the development stage, with a commercial product expected to be launched in the near future. One of the major advantages of this device is that unlike conventional blood drawing devices, infection risk is very low. Maximum use of blood-draw is observed in hospitals and diagnostic centers. Traditional needle based blood draw technique might lead into vasovagal reactions, pain and bruising, and/or nerve injuries. For these reasons, hospitals around the world are likely to opt for needle-free blood drawing devices to minimize risk, labor cost as well as material cost. Companies operating in the market in the current scenario are competing on price, and they are focusing on getting the FDA approval for their products. In December 2015, Google Inc. applied for a patent for its variant of a wearable smart glucometer with needle-free blood drawing feature. Major companies operating in the market are Velano Vascular, VertMarkets, Inc., Gizmag Pty Ltd, Romsons, Alpha Bio Labs, and Poly Medicure Ltd.
Key Developments
Major companies in the market are involved in different business strategies such as gaining product approval from regulatory authorities, in order to expand their product portfolio. For instance, in February 2017, Velano Vascular, a San Francisco-based company, received the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 510(k) clearance for its Pivo needle-free blood draw device. It is a single used, disposable device, designed to take blood samples from IVF catheters.
Major companies in the market are involved in different business strategies such as participating in capital venture activities, in order to gain competitive edge in the market. For instance, in March 2017, Velano Vascular, a U.S.-based startup, raised US$ 17 million (investors’ names undisclosed) for a needle-free blood draw device. The device developed by Velano Vascular is called PIVO, which is a needle-free device and can be inserted through existing IVD catheter.
Major companies in the market are involved in different business strategies such as participating in capital venture activities, in order to gain competitive edge in the market. For instance, in May 2019, Velano Vascular, a U.S.-based company received US$ 10 million funding its strategic investor Intermountain Healthcare for its FDA cleared needle-free blood drawing device PIVO.

gen z/millennial fma headcanons courtesy of me.
greed:
greed is friends with everyone in this au. everyone. he knows everyone.
no one knows greeds real name. he’s just greed. in this au thomas halbert doesnt have the url greed. greed does. hes not even that greedy and he most definitely blocks everyone who calls him out on it.
he’s mysterious in general. his youtube channel goes between him doing backflips off of things he shouldnt be doing back flips off of to a podcast about [some obscure political thing]? who is he?
greeds probably low key homeless like idk in an au where hes human i can imagine him showing up at one of his friends houses every night with like his one backpack of belongings like “hey im sleeping on ur couch and using ur shower” and no one really questions him because hes charming enough to get away with it yknow
except edward questions him. “ling isnt even here. wyd.” “please. if i dont shower i might die.” “fucking fine I GUESS”
greeds favorite place to go is ed and lings apartment because theyre nice and ling always feeds him and also eds funny and greed appreciates humor
this is just a general greed headcanon but god is he poly :3c i can and will fight about this.
ling:
GAY! TANA! MONGEAU! hes wild and a lot of people hate him even though hes really a giant sweetie. he’s best friends with greed and sometimes ling goes on greeds podcast so they can talk about their exercise regimen
hes dating edward of course. theres not more to this other than theyre dating and they love each other and Would kill for each other. also a lot of people probably dont think they have a deep relationship but im telling you. theyre star crossed lovers. its total romcom bullshit.
ling probably gets paid to go to parties. like thats his job and he makes good money doing it even though he has a masters in psychology. he just. goes to parties. pays off his student loans.
he does a lot of prank videos on youtube. think tgfbro but american and less edgy.
ling probably also models on occasion. like hes pretty enough that he just does it.
he shaves his head at some point or like maybe gets an undercut and no one can look at him for a month because its just weird. lings hair is like his identity.
he gets up to a lot of hijinks with greed. theyre probably a little gay together. edward doesnt care because its 2018 time 2 start normalizing polyamory ok.
ling spends actual money on new clothes for greed but the man always wears the same two outfits and although ling rarely gets angry this gets him a little riled
edward:
his youtube channel is just a mess kind of like greeds except with him its unintentional he just... does what he wants. theres videos of him showing off his physical prowess. like hes small but he WILL kick your fuckin ass. hes probably a black belt and is the physical embodiment of the navy seals rant.
sometimes he does vsauce style videos on youtube and everyone hates when he does it because hes memelord 69 but at the same time hes wicked smart
hes a physicist in this world and im serious it throws anyone who meets him for a loop.
ed gets asked a lot how roy is his dad if hes only 12 years older than him. eds answers are either “he found me and my brother as infants and has mothered us since” or “idk man”
ed accidentally starts a meme. he posts a bunch of pictures of ling either sleeping or passed out and idk the specifics of the meme but he starts a meme and it pains him. he consumes he does not create.
ed likes greed but he doesnt express it. “i dont like you” “[eyeroll] and???? im still eating ur leftovers”
ed actually does kick russel tringham in the head for a skit for one of lings vlogs. ed and russel are best friends even if russel genuinely did try to steal eds identity at some point and may or may not have put ed in debt for a few months
roy:
hes one of ed’s professors much to eds dismay since roy is, technically, his adoptive father.
he probably argues with ed a lot in the middle of lectures (”hey dumbass thats not how it works” “im literally teaching you what you’re majoring in.” “yeah and im telling you that you’re wrong.”)
he’s like 35 in this au and technically a millennial. ed’s 21.
roy has an instagram and its literally just pictures of hughes and elicia and nina and ed and al
roy and hughes are most definitely a foster family and am i pulling this from my own fic yes i am can you stop me no you cant
hughes:
HES FINE. HES ALIVE.
all of the gen z kids in this au think hes awful bc of all the dad jokes and slightly outdated humor. hes not awful. hes perfect. hes doing his best.
he loves all four of his children.
he and gracia are best friends even if their marriage didnt work out for unknown reasons. they along with roy are GOOD PARENTS to elicia. you can pry this from my cold dead hands. canon can suck my chode.
lust:
shes not like greed she doesnt try to be mysterious. shes probably a beauty guru (SolarisCosmetics) and does a lot of tutorials like “Low Commitment Goth Makeup Tutorial”
shes unintentionally mysterious because for her first like 50 videos or so theres no commentary its just subtitles
her first video with commentary is like “i... apologize. i was not intending to be so... mysterious.” and shes actually very sweet and nice and you can fight me on this ok
greed is her adoptive brother and greed makes her bleep out his name and blur her mouth whenever she calls him by his name bc he likes to lurk in the background of her videos because hes an asshole
winry:
shes a mechanic in this au and i mean shes a mechanic in canon but she prob specializes in like. idk. cars. this is a headcanon list im not looking up specifics of mechanics point is she can rebuild an engine in an afternoon and everyone in this au is in love with her
BIG LESBIAN
she probably tries getting ed to go on double dates (him and ling with her and lan fan) but every single time he shoots her down and its to the point shes almost convinced that hes not even dating ling in the first place
greed is probably her biggest client. no one knows how he does it but his car is constantly breaking and winry is the only mechanic in his general vicinity who knows how to do her job worth a shit and also her repair shop has cool music and he probably finds excuses just to chill for the music
“[greed] please. if your fat ass is going to be taking up counter space AT LEAST help clean up” “excuse you my ass is FIRM AND PERKY.”
its probably a joke among ed’s following that winry DOES NOT put up with his shit and when winry gets asked out it shes just like “hes an asshole why the fuck do you think im gonna let him walk around all half cocked like that”
riza:
i like to think shes in the military in this au too. not like military military but maybe air force idk. imagine pilot riza. wow.
shes not on active duty or w/e but you KNOW shes in a foreign country going to college paid for by the government.
everyone in this au is at least bi and riza is no exception. she is dating olivier armstrong. they are in love u can pry this from my cold dead hands you fucking gremlins
edward is probably platonically in love with her. like when he gets to see her (which isnt often) he has to occasionally stop, put a hand on her shoulder, do the ‘boi’ hand (idk how else to describe it) and say, “i love you dont ever change” “thank you, edward.” “[hug]”
envy:
a troll. like you know those troll blogs that are pretending to be otherkin or some really obscure gender w neopronouns (u do u but we all kno theres trolls). envy has one of those blogs.
envy is actually nonbinary irl but theyre very critical of “special snowflakes” (again u do u these headcanons dont necessarily reflect my opinions and as long as u aint hurting no one i support u) and they probably cyberbully ppl
envy is garbage in this fic
“god i hate you” “actually eat my ass, greed”
see greed is the opposite of ed w riza. he looks at envy and occasionally has to say “i fucking hate you”
theyre secrety buds but like... they annoy the shit out of each other. u kno they do.
ENVY STARTS A LOT OF DISCOURSE. THEY PROBABLY START A LOT OF HOMESTUCK DISCOURSE. GOD. here i am in 2018 writing about envy starting fucking homestuck discourse. its probably like davekat discourse too tbh
i know im forgetting alphonse, may/mei (i spell it mei), and lan fan but its like 4:19 am
please send me asks if u have any feedback. or reply to this post. its up to u. i trust u to make the right decision. (there is no reight decision and honestly i need to go to bed)

Antibiotic Bone Cement and Casting Materials Market Set Explosive Growth to 2026
Bone cement is a material used for the fixation of joint implants to the bone. Chemical bone cement is Plexiglas, which is a polymer-based material comprising poly-methyl-methacrylate (PMMA) or co-polymers. Infection during orthopedic surgery is a major concern, which makes the use of antibiotic bone cements essential. Casting materials are used for supporting broken or injured bone. These materials act as a supportive wrap or bandage around the broken bone. Casting materials are available in various shapes and sizes, however, the most common type of casting material used in antibiotic bone cement are plasters and fiberglass. Increasing incidents of falls, road-accidents, and sports injuries is expected to foster growth of Antibiotic Bone Cement and Casting Materials Market.
Increasing incidence of fatal falls is expected to boost growth of the bone cement and casting materials market over the forecast period
According to World Health Organization (WHO) 2017, falls are the second leading cause of accidental or unintentional injury deaths, worldwide. Each year an estimated 646,000 individuals die from falls, globally of which over 80% are in low and middle-income countries. Adults older than 65 years of age, are reported to be highest in number in terms of fatal falls and chances of hip fracture, knee factures are very high in this age group. Factures in knee and hip are caused by trauma, fall from height, or vehicle collision.
According to World Health Organization (WHO) 2017, yearly around 1.25 million people die and 20–50 million people experience severe injury and fractures due to road accidents. Rising number of road accidents is thus expected to boost growth of the antibiotic bone cement and casting materials market over the forecast. Sports injuries are also one of the major causes of fractures. Increasing sports and outdoor activity trend and low use of protective equipment during sports, leads to severe sports injuries in joints and this is expected to fuel the antibiotic bone cement and casting material market growth in the near future.

Pairing: Prumanocan (poly)
Soulmate AU
His whole life had been lived in grey, white and black. But mostly grey, the various shades of the world around him condensed into one color scale of black and white. Of course, this was because he had not meet his soulmate yet, like his brother had and his friends had and his cousin had, even. People all around him had found their soulmate, but he was rather stuck in the grey world he had been born with.
Until an unintentional run-in with a biker.
He had been pushing his brother to have a date with his soulmate, which should not have been that hard, except for Alfred’s infuriating idea of being a good big brother. He had taken it upon himself to find Matthew’s soulmate, and not only was Matthew himself finding it annoying, but the ignorant American had been neglecting his soulmate. So Matthew pushed them to the date in a cute little cafe and had been walking home, relieved, when a biker had zoomed passed, pedaling furiously.
Matthew had stepped instinctively to the side but froze when he caught sight of the man’s eyes.
They were blood red.
They had color.
The biker had also frozen, but he was on a bike that traveled forward with momentum and he realized too late that he was in a precarious position. The bike jerked around on his trek forwards and he lost control, crashing into a pole and tumbling to the ground.
“Oh my god! Oh my god, are you okay?” Matthew rushed to the man’s side, attempting to disentangle him from the bike. The man groaned and pulled himself up, abandoning the bike on the concrete. Now that he wasn’t concerned with his health, Matthew got a better look at him. The man was a bit shorter than him and had soft-looking white hair and a pasty complexion. For a second Matthew was nervous that he had been mistaken, but then he blinked open his vibrant red eyes and all of his worries vanished.
“Not how I expected to meet my soulmate.” The man said with a thick German accent, quirking a smile at the Canadian.
“Me neither. Are you sure you’re okay?” Matthew questioned, examining him for any wounds.
“Me? I’m fine! I’ve taken worse falls than that!” He boasted, wincing slightly as he jarred his head. He had gained a headache from crashing into the pole.
“Oh. What’s your name? I’m Matthew,” he introduced himself, fidgeting uncertainly. Was he supposed to shake his hand? Hug him? Oh god, he wasn’t supposed to kiss him yet, right?
“The awesome Gilbert, at your service!” Gilbert nearly bowed dramatically but clutched his head instead, cursing under his breath.
“Oh! Uh, do you want to come to my apartment? I should have some Ibuprofen,” Matthew offered, allowing the albino to hold on to his shoulder for support while he fought his dizzy spell.
“That would be awesome.” The man lowered his hand but Matthew caught it, in an unusual romantic moment or merely to make sure he didn’t fall over Matthew wasn’t sure, but Gilbert seemed very pleased by the action.
And so the two made their way, fingers laced together, to Matthew’s apartment, fixing Gilbert up and getting to know each other along the way.
Neither told the other they still saw spots of grey.
-x-
It was nearly a year later before they had found their missing piece. Both had given up on the thought of having a third soulmate and had still not confided in the other for irrational fear of rejection. It was possible that one of them had another soulmate but the other did not, and so they were afraid the other would think that they weren’t going to love them enough and therefore leave them. It was an idiotic thought process, but it succeeded in keeping the two quiet about the colors, or lack thereof.
Though the two had secretly vowed to forget the missing colors, it had an effect on their relationship. They felt the missing link in their everyday lives.
Gilbert missed tension. He was used to everyday bickering from growing up in his household, and Matthew was not the argumentative type. He missed being able to shoot insults at someone and have them reciprocate. And he felt unneeded with Matthew, who got along with everybody and who everybody loved. And though Matthew tried to tell him that he loved him, Gilbert wasn’t blind to the fact that he never seemed to do enough.
Matthew missed thoughtfulness. As much as he loved Gilbert, the Prussian was more or less oblivious in the topic of romance. He dreamed of waking up to a rose, or sitting down to a loved, home-made meal. And he missed the quiet evenings of doing nothing. While Gilbert tried to be quiet and stay still, he was used to being up and doing things. And was not used to the copious amount of physical contact Matthew seemed to require.
It was at a restaurant for a date. Matthew had picked it because it was smaller and unassuming, but quite popular as well. He had also heard shining reviews from his brother. It was also away from prying eyes where the two could talk, really talk, but in public so nothing escalated. That was at Gilbert’s request, as he knew he could become too loud in a second.
They took their orders and were quiet, both unsure what to say or where to start. Time passed, and their food arrived, but the two stayed silent except for a few dying conversations. They chewed slowly and awkwardly.
Matthew had finally opened his mouth to say something when a voice from the kitchens made him pause. They were seated right next to the kitchens and he couldn’t help but listen in. Gilbert was also eavesdropping though mostly out of lack of other things to do, and he didn’t want to be the one to start talking.
“But I never wait tables! That’s Feli’s job! I cook food, not talk to stupid people!”
“But Lovi, it’s so busy, and Antonio’s out…”
“I don’t care! Feli can deal with it!”
“Lovino Vargas, don’t you take that tone with me. Now go out there and ask people if they like their meals, and if they have any requests, come tell me. Easy.”
“But-”
“Lovi.”
“Fine.” the arguing voice stomped out of the kitchens and the awkward couple instantly turned away, pretending they had never been listening in. “Lovino” ignored their table entirely and made a few rounds before returning and catching sight of the two, realizing he hadn’t talked to them yet and groaning because he had thought he was done.
“Okay bastards, you better be enjoying your meal because that’s my food you’re eating.” Lovino snapped, his patience at an all-time low. The two were a bit taken aback by his attitude.
“It’s delicious.” Matthew said softly, staring at his plate. Gilbert was not as much of a doormat, however, and turned to glare at the man.
“Hey, you can’t… just…” Gilbert trailed off, red eyes widening in surprise as a new color burst in front of him. Greens and golden browns suddenly came into focus, filling the spaces in between the violet and blue hues of Matthew’s eyes. They gaped at each other, but it quickly came to Lovino’s attention that not all the color had returned.
“Are you freaking kidding me? There’s another one?!” Lovino raged, throwing up his arms. Matthew glanced at Gilbert, alarmed. The normally outspoken man was deathly silent, face paler than usual.
“Matthew… there may be something… I need to tell you…” He choked out. Lovino stopped his raging and glared at the albino Prussian.
“Damn right you do. Because obviously your own freakin soulmate needs to know that you share- oh.” Lovino had gone to stare down Matthew only for the missing colors to come into focus, blues and greens appearing before his eyes. “Oh.”
Gilbert stared at the interaction and his eyes widened.
“You have got to be freaking kidding me.”

Needle-free Blood Drawing Devices Market – Global Industry Insights, Trends, Outlook, and Opportunity Analysis, 2016–2024
Needle-Free blood drawing devices Overview:
Venipuncture or venepuncture is the process of obtaining blood by gaining intravenous access. This process is used for many purposes such for blood sampling and for removing excess blood for the treatment of polycythemia vera, an ailment that results in elevated blood volume or hematocrit. In healthcare, this process is performed by physicians, laboratory scientists, or phlebotomists. There are mainly two types of venipuncture, namely those conducted with needle and syringe and those with vacuum tubes. Both these techniques have their own disadvantages, with the patient suffering from excruciating pain in both scenarios.
This novel technology is expected to gain significant growthtraction in the near future. Besides the considerable physical as well as emotional toll of these injuries, unintentional needle stick injuries result into an additional cost. of about US$ 50 million per year.
