Operating at half capacity, still working on art 💖

It's been harder to work for long on one piece, so please understand that the work I'm creating is taking me longer and more effort.

While I rest my eye, I take time to listen to audiobooks on the subjects I'm researching for the movie, listen to lectures from my incubator program, or write by using dictation and edit things later. If you've got any folklore related podcast recommendations, I'd love to hear them!

Adaptability to change ✨☄️

Dealing with my half vision while making art has been an interesting experience.

I'm waiting to see when this will get fixed but unfortunately the two surgeries didn't fix this issue. My bad eye still deals with a lot of light sensitivity and pain, as well as a very irregular looking pupil. The only way to keep going is to cover it, so that the light sensitivity doesn't give me migraines, and the eye doesn't act up and get painful.

I'm hoping for a solution soon but for now I've just gotta power through and I found a solution! I'm waiting for a cooler, more comfortable eye patch (the other one I had was pressing against the eye in a very irritating way) but for the meantime I've been having fun drawing on the adhesive ones and writing stuff like this. If you're interested in some new art,I'm taking orders/comms for illustration work...please contact me with your ideas! It's been hard earning an income right now, and after the move, I need some work.

I'll be posting some character work/character design pics soon, as well as more previews for the movie art. I'm also drawing a lil coyote version of my with a cool eye patch haha.

Tutorial for drawing characters with cleft lip! Sorry that it's mostly unilateral-centric but it makes up the vast majority of resources and photos. Still tried to get tips for drawing bilateral clefts in though.

Keep in mind that this is an introductory drawing tutorial and has some generalizations in it, so not every “X is Z” statement will be true for Actual People 👍
