Jorge was writing a musical *about* The Odyssey. The Odyssey, as you might be able to guess from the name, is about Odysseus, it's his story about his struggle to essentially war against the gods and get home to his family. Jorge was taking some- sometimes large- creative liberties here and there, but he still had to follow the structure of the Homeric epic itself from several thousand years ago.

By all means, go write your own fanfic where Penelope GatekeepGaslightGirlbosses all over Ithica and kills all the suitors and gets in a boat to go save Odysseus herself. But don't say that Jorge, I dunno, hates women or whatever because he was adapting the story as it existed.

I love how here on Tumblr we're all family. Like, we're all the weird siblings. On other apps, it's like "oh yeah I have a Tiktok" but for us it's like "YOU'RE ON TUMBLR!? YOO!" tumblr truly has infected my psyche bc I was Patrick Bateman for a Halloween party last night and I did the blood splatter on my face and everything...and tell me why it was the hottest I've ever felt? Like I did my makeup all nice and that was great but the blood splatter? final touch. awesome. gorgeous. breathtaking. I felt so dangerous and femme fatal with my black leather gloves and cardboard axe. It's over for me, friends. Can't ever feel that hot again :/

I was scrolling through tumblr and accidently switched to a tab that contained concept art for for the Yu-Gi-Oh Vanquish soul concept art and just kept on scrolling like it was tumblr.

The Gali Epiphany

after her intruduction as the narrator in marvel rivals, Galacta's story intrigued me. after digging deeper, I realize something. she is Galactus Daughter, yes. but HOW? who was the mother? well, as it turns out, Galactus. because his kind gives birth with some kind of "cosmic pregnancy" where they host a tapeworm that eventually evolves into their offspring. this even happens to galacta at one point.

but then, that means Galacta was a tapeworm once. and belonged to Galactus. and he is the sole parent. he was the host of the tapeworm. he must have gave birth to Galacta by that metric. that Implies that Galactus was pregnant. this means MPreg canonically exists in the Marvel universe, and I would never have known if it weren't for marvel rivals. not only that, but it's the first example I could find. (Loki lore does not count, he's technically genderfluid in a very literal way. also he was a horse, I'm pretty sure.)

I literally. I thought this was a radfem post. I thought that was an awful lot of notes for a joke that was pretty dark but accurate. I looked at the replies. I look at the OP's bio.

they're serious. I mean it may be a joke but like that's... what they're doing. Drugging the issue when the teen is obviously depressed. So where actually is the joke, other than the idea of....killing your parents? When there's no indication abuse other than the fact that something is happening to the child? (Can't rule it out, absolutely, but that's just one of dozens of possible explanations).
