day 3 of horror: from a child's perspective

Knuckles knocked a quiet and timed rhythm against the wooden bar top as he silently turned over the facts of his current case. The amount of money they were willing to shuffle out for information was a red flag, but not enough for him to turn them away. Unlike most requests, this one had came tied off with a bow, giving him more than most could supply. It made the job easier in a way, but it meant he'd have to get closer than usual too.

The male's hand paused against the wood as an entire pizza was placed before him on a platter big enough to feed at least four people. His mistake? He'd ordered two whole pies. "You hungry?" He spoke before turning slightly to the person at his side. He wasn't much of a people person, but if he wanted information, it meant going out on a limb. "Ordered two thinking that I'd have enough for a few meals, but I think I bit off more than I can chew." A joke, but he barely showed any signs of self-made amusement.

She'd more than punished herself for the damage she'd caused, but nothing ever seemed like enough. Even as she watched people fade from her life, had watched her best friend walk out after saying he was done, it still didn't feel like enough. If only to had fuel to the flickering flames of her life, she'd tried to do something big enough to throw off what little balance she had left and she had a bandaged ring finger to prove it. A cover up job turned into a touchup — what kind of person did that? Kept the letter of someone who hated them inked into their skin because it was the last remaining piece they had left? Thumb instinctively brushed over the bandage as she bumped into someone while trying to dodge another. Had she realized who was on the other side of the gentle nudge, she would have taken the shoulder check. A quick scan around him flooded her chest with relief, followed by an inkling of disappointment. Another run in, but no Mattie. "I didn't mean for that to happen. Trust me, if I'd known it was you, I would have just taken my chances." There was no anger in her voice, just a raw coat of defeat as she prepared for the venom that would inevitably be tossed her way.

I can’t stop talking about Byler fighting. I truly can’t. Because it’s the greatest evidence for me that they’re endgame if not also incredibly compatible.

Their arguments do not ring with an air of “get away from me.” They’re not telling each other, “you’re my enemy.” They sound more like “what’s wrong? Talk to me,” and, “you’re my best friend. I want to keep what we have.” And what’s wilder yet is that they don’t lack in understanding with each other. They understand each other so well that one of them has to retreat.

This is what happens when you become so overwhelmed that you have to step away from the emotion - and would a truly hateful fight end like this? Look, the answer is partly yes, but when you then look at how these two come back together, there’s an active pursuit, a turning back - specifically from Mike both times - where repentance is sought after. And that’s where we veer away from hatred and into love.

Love does this. Love fights and hits right where it hurts and sometimes goes way too far, but then in the end, you don’t pull away. You don’t just leave it or come back angry and want to stake your claim, you think about what’s been done and grow from it. And I think that Mike’s apology in s4e4 was the single greatest moment of growth for him as a character. As was Will’s acceptance of his apology and trying to apologize, too.

I think that where the general audience get mixed up is that Mike and Will’s fights end on a sour note. They always look like they get cut short, they’re obviously talking about El, oh, they’re clearly trying to get away from each other and can’t finish their thoughts.

But you can’t just stop there. You can’t deny that these emotions are reserved for each other alone. When you analyze their fights and really see what they’re talking about - “it’s not my fault you don’t like girls,” “well, we used to be best friends!” - it’s not that difficult to see they’re emotional over each other.

At the heart of it, when you care about something, when you love it. You get emotional. If you didn’t love it, if it meant nothing to you, you wouldn’t react. Mike and Will react to each other.

It’s not hard to imagine them continuing to fight and learning more about each other. Facing more of what hurts. I agree that they get cut short, and I think that one jab too deep may reveal something incredibly important to them. But we just don’t get to see it in Mike’s garage nor at the Rink-o-Mania, and I think that that’s wholly intentional and possibly reserved for season 5. And from there, it’s not hard to see their emotions turn into something more, too. Because at the end of the day, they’re passionate about their relationship.

All this is to say, I’m really excited for them to dig deeper next season. Maybe it’s a fight, maybe it’s a confession, maybe it’s both. And just like how their fights don’t truly end in one leaving the other but coming back together later on, their stories aren’t over yet.

His obsession mainly presents through excessive quality time, manipulation and mildly assaulting you in your sleep. Age: mid or late 20s. He's a Libra. Gender: Cisgender male. Pronouns are he/him, though he will answer to she/her (and later correct that individual). He enjoys when you call him princess, though. And only you. Sexuality: There's a lot of speculation on the internet, but he seems to prefer women. Occupation: Paris is an American Olympic-level figure skater, and will likely retire after the next Olympic Games. He's not quite an internet personality, but his online popularity gets him a lot of brand deals.

General appearance: Paris is of Russian descent. He is relatively pale, with straight, mousy brown hair that reaches just above the waist. His eyes are brown. His lips are small, heart shaped and usually glossed. He is lean, but due to his sport, he does have a level of muscle tone greater than the average person. Paris is 180 centimeters tall (~5’10) with model-like proportions. His ears are pierced. Fashion sense: See board. Fond of hyper-feminine clothing, Paris’s wardrobe is an eclectic blend of coquette, gyaru, and figure skater fashion. Often wears pink, white, pastel blue or black. His clothes aren’t very revealing – he is quite fond of layering shirts and cardigans. He actually doesn’t wear skirts that often, opting more often for leggings. Paris wears false lashes often, and wears light, feminine makeup. Paris does wear masculine clothing, though only when he isn’t expecting to be photographed or seen in public.  As a male figure skater, on the rink, he is expected to ‘tone it down’ with the makeup and keep his hair tied back. During competitions and photoshoots, he presents more masculine, though still quite androgynous. His skating outfits possess a feminine flair.

Personality: Paris is fun-loving, boisterous, and goes through life like nothing phases him. (A facade, to be sure.) Paris strikes others as easy-going and snarky, but is pretty observant and manipulative. He definitely plays into his 'feminine wiles' schtick to get what he wants. However friendly he appears, Paris doesn't tolerate disrespect, and enjoys fighting fire with fire. He definitely enjoys humiliating people who cross him, and especially when they cross you. Paris is no stranger to off-color and lewd jokes, but would stop if you disapproved. Paris is notably much sweeter when talking to you. Romantically, Paris had a bit of a rotating door until you caught his eye. Within celebrity circles, he's kind of regarded as a player. He wasn't unkind to women... he just moved on fast, often bored. Which is something that does not seem to be happening with you. ♡

Bonus: Paris is really popular online! He's witty and pretty tuned into current social media trends. He's streamed on Twitch multiple times just for fun, and is always bombarded with gifts. None of his fans' love matters as much as you do, though. He appeals to younger, queer people especially.

The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals Swap AU! Featuring King of the Sassyman apocalypse Paul Perkins and Cringe girlfailure Emma Mathews

Something I made up in high school when I was really into making Swap AUs for no reason of all the medias I liked. Thought this one was actually something so I wanted to draw it. I have a bunch more doodles so maybe I’ll go back and remake those someday.

You can prolly tell who I swapped already but Paul and Emma swapped, Charlotte and Mr. Davidson (and co.) swapped, Ted and Greenpeace girl (and co.) swapped, and Bill and Mr. Hidgens are swapped ( but I didn’t draw “Bill” cause idk if everyone would like that- and I didn’t want to model him off of the new Mr.Hidgens/ Jeff Blim cause I’m weird- and I didn’t want two characters visually based off of Jeff Blim on the same “stage”. Does that even make sense logically or emotionally? No. But whatever)

I don't get why people say that the Rosa Parks episode is necessarily bad. I feel there's a lot of nuance to it that people tend to overlook.

Right off the bat, we get this parallel: how the Doctor and the fam are from out of town like Emmett Till was. It's a warning to tread carefully. Yes, we would all like to go around punching racist bigots, but this is not the time or place.

And then we have this white supremacist recently released from Stormcage (missed opportunity to name-drop River to be honest—though season 11 was a soft reboot for new viewers, so I understand why they would hesitate to mention Doctor's wife being held in the same prison as this man, imagine the outrageous misunderstandings it would cause?). He probably got arrested by a Black officer (speculation) and now has it out for Rosa Parks, the spark that led to the Civil Rights Movement.

Now, coming to the most controversial part of the episode, you have to consider that maybe this was the only logical next step.

Remember, this was Krasko's plan. He couldn't kill Rosa because of the neuro restrictor in his brain (the Doctor being so smug about that while he had her in literal chokehold is a scene that lives rent-free in my head). But he nudged history enough by cheap little tactics (changing the bus drivers, smashing up the bus, etc.) that by the time The Doctor and the fam got things back on track there weren't enough passengers for a full bus without them. If they got up now, Krasko would get what he wanted.

In this case, not helping is helping. Helping to preserve history and Rosa's legacy, even it's means being the jerk who recreates the circumstances of her arrest.

This is Rosa's moment. The Doctor and the fam are just spectators to it, and that, I feel, is so much more powerful than if they stepped in or stepped out of the bus. Rosa doesn't need saving. What she needs is to stand up for herself—or should I say sit down for her rights. No matter how hard it might be to watch and do nothing, this is a moment no one gets to take away from her.

I know everyone loves the evil power couple trope with Ascended Astarion, but what about something angst?

What if you slowly descend into madness, slowly become more of a monster, more of what he feared most. The first years or centuries where you two are together you are the grounding force, you are the one helping him retain his humanity, you are the one helping him from fully descending and becoming like his master, or even worse.

But with time you slowly start losing everyone you love, everyone you care for, anyone you start making an honest connection with. They'd either slowly vanish from your life or Astarion's fits of jealousy would get the better of them. Some would die peacefully, others would find their way back to you in pieces.

You'll have to come to terms that nothing really matters, nothing except Astarion. Your master, your lover, your world, the only person who would be with you, forever, for better or worse.

This is where the roles reverse and he's the one who's doing his best to hold onto the person he once fell in love with, doing his best to not fully lose you, but even with all of his power, he feels powerless.

After you start becoming worse he decides to finally sequester you into that deep chamber he talked about centuries ago. At first you would get the occasional visits from your servants, but gradually all of those visits will subside and the only one coming through that door would be Astarion.

The only blood you will be allowed to consume will be his, he will be your life force, figuratively and literally. Your entire life will revolve only around him. Finally, you'll be the obedient pet he once wanted.

One day he would cup your face and stare into your eyes, hoping to see the person he once fell in love with, slowly realizing what he has done, maybe a tear could run down his cheek which he'd instantly brush off, burying those thoughts deep inside him, as deep as his old self was burried. "The person of your dreams, the hope of them, is your own worst enemy"

Centuries after he will finally let you out, you will be a true vampire yes, why wouldn't he grant you that when your entire life is now dedicated to him, you will be practically worshipping him, entirely devoted to him, body and soul (or what's left of it anyway) You will be a strong vicious beast ready to be unleashed whenever he desires.

Years, centuries or millena of this Astarion would slowly start wishing for an adventurer to come and end his suffering, his and yours. You dying in his arms with a smile on your face, your cold fingers touching his face as you tell him that you love him one last time, yours eyes finally closing forever. Or idk maybe both of you dying together at the same time? romantic~
