Trans-American (USA) tips from a cis-American!

Eat shit. Literally. Don't go eating 10 cakes everyday, but have half a bag of family size chips instead of nuts. Eat candy instead of fruit. When baking, add extra sugar to EVERYTHING.

Be proud of being an American. Americans are obsessed with themselves, there isn't a single place in America that doesn't feel American. Wear American flags, do the pledge of alligince during/before school or work, memorize the national anthem.

No need to fake accents or learn new languages, America is called a "mixing pot" for a reason! Plenty of people from all different origins and backstoris live there, not to mention it's so big that even the people born there don't have the same accents!*

Be a people pleaser. Americans are always smiling, even if they aren't happy. Smile, help out in things you don't care about (donating and going to meetings), be irritional and ALMOST always say yes when asked to do things. Well most Americans are people pleasers, but both them and you still have boundaries and that is important!

Be loud. Talk about things no one wants to hear or are private. Don't hide your laugh, let everyone hear! Be emotional and proud!

Work hard. Honestly this is just a good skill in general, but especially in Americans do they do everything to be on top. This goes along with being extremely competitive!

Slang. Americans love slang. When speaking English, mush your words together! Examples: Going to=Gonna, bet=promise/will, buck(s)=dollars, no yea=yes, yea no=no, "I don't buy that"="I don't believe that", chips=junk food crackers, kinda=kind of, adding "shit" to everything=a BUNCH of different meanings, and many more you can look up!

Kinda a sad one, but when you enter a new classroom, mark out the nearest exit and hiding space. Every student in America does this in case of school shootings.

*if you do decide to learn languages, learn English (I'm assuming you already know this language because you are reading this), and (a little bit of) Spanish! Most Americans know atleast a bit of Spanish, even if they don't live in places that used to belong to the Mexicans.

So we can learn a few things from this really good poster.

The place it takes place in.

It's probably San Francisco. We can gues this based on two things. The first one is the buildings in the disco ball. We can clearly see the Transamerica Pyramid, along side with the Golden Gate bridge.

And the second thing is in the title. San Francisco sometimes is called the "Golden City". It's true that other cities such as Jaisalmer in India, or Prague in Czechia, but comining it with the visable landmarks that I mentiond, it's pretty safe to assume it probably takes place in San Francisco.

It's probably takes place in the 70s, or in the 80s. It's probably disco themed. The disco era begine in the 70s, and ended in the 80s. Also from the style this poster has, I think it takes place in the 80s. The style of the font, and how it looks. But this last part is just my assuption.
