why is it that some folks (/nobody here) still think it's okay to hit dogs or human children or other animals as "discipline" because "it's the only way they'll learn"? hitting someone only makes them learn to be afraid of you and as such only not do those things around you or avoid you all together, positive reinforcement always works better than any punishment. and if they speak your language, you can actually talk to them and tell them what they did wrong, why it's wrong, and how they can do better, and ask them why they did it because there may very well be something going on that you might be able to help with. y'know like how you're supposed to speak to other adults. and not just because "kids need protecting" but because they're another sentient being who should be equal to you

did you guys know, I'm a transn4zi (4 = a) and a diamisogynist. they've been on my identity hoard for a while, but just a reminder. I'm actually a diamisogynist because I think being a perpetrator of misogyny is hot, but I'm still actively a cisfeminist. feminism is still really important today when women are still getting underpaid, men are still treating women like objects, and so much of society is still drilling in gender roles that promote sexism, even if those gender roles have shifted slightly to the left since say the 50s. I think it's hot, but obviously I don't condone misogyny (if you have a problem with that, remember thought crimes aren't real)

and I've been a transn4zi for years before I found the radqueer community, basically since I had a hyperfixation on n4zi germany. the great thing about knowing about n4zis and the horrible things they did is that I can see the ways in which their racism, homophobia, ableism, etc, are still present today even from folks who are anti-n4zi

basically, when you see the worst of it, like n4zis and gender roles of the 50s, you can more easily recognise that it's still not all that much better, you can see the remnants, and from that you can improve things. so I learn from folks affected by these things, spend time with them, see the bigoted patterns in society, actively work on overcoming my own prejudice any time I realise I have it (because yes I find I'm prejudiced in many ways and I think we all are, what's important is recognising and acknowledging it so you can change it), and do what I can to make the world a better place for everyone. but I'm still a transn4zi and a diamisogynist because I can be

I was previously mudarchive. My reblogs of MUDs will be working on a queue and I will upload MUDs to the website when I have the spoons to do so. I will post updates about the archive here when I have them.

A world where people who didn't or struggled to get an education will feel less embarrassed getting it when they're older?

A world where anyone of any age can get an education?

A world where cultures that used to be dead or dying being MAJORLY revived?

A world where adopted children can express their family traditions freely?

A world with WIDE religious freedom everywhere?

A world that cares SO much more for disabled and disordered groups?

A world where companies finally HAVE to have good workers protections and laws?

A world where the medical and psychological changes majorly and starts ACTUALLY listening to patients????

I'm not sorry, there is no world that is better than one that cares for its creatures
