Trans4NB: A term for trans and nonbinary people who want to be in relationships with each other. This term is for the following and examples:

-a straight couple in which one partner is a trans woman or man that is in a relationship with someone who is an AFAB/AMAB nonbinary person.

-a sapphic/achillean/diamoric couple which one partner is trans while the other is nonbinary.

-people who are both trans AND nonbinary.

-not limited to those who are also genderfluid, agender, genderqueer, demigender, multigender, etc.

Y'know what? Fuck it. I am a dude. I am sapphic. I love girls in a very gay way. I love boys in a very gay way. I am a guy, but not a man. A use he/him but I am not a man. I don't use she/her but I am sapphic. I have a complicated relationship with a lot of parts of my identity, and that will not change overnight, but right now what is important is that I am amazing.

I am queer and beautiful and in love. I use labels I want and reject ones I don't.

I did it. I called my parents, told them they need to use they/them for me for us to have a healthy relationship, and it worked.

My dad said his love for me is unconditional and he's invested in getting this right. My mom asked in a strained tone how this affects my relationship with my husband, how she's supposed to refer to me with people in her life, etc. (best case scenario given how abysmal this convo went with her a year ago). And we ended it all with our life updates and "I love you"s.

Since it took a lot of research to find articles more suited to adult children coming out as trans/nonbinary, here's the list of (primarily non-aggressive) resources on terms and mindset I texted them in case they can help anyone else:
