Thinking about the fact that as a queer, fat, plural, transgender, autistic individual, back in many many ancient societies we would be considered divine. If you're in a relationship, you do not need to "perform" as a couple.

My partner and I are both neurodivergent, we have and sleep in separate rooms, we sometimes struggle to cuddle much or show physical affection because we both need space most of the time. And that's totally fine. We love each other to bits and we show our love for one another in a bunch of different ways: I cook a lot and take much care of cooking healthy and balanced meals, they always have little attentions for me like writing me cute notes or grabbing my fav snacks and drinks when they go shopping.

Social media and fiction always portray loving relationships as being together all the time, cuddling 24/7, having tons of sex etc. But love/affection shows in so many different ways. I know I love my partner because I want to see them thrive, I love to see them smile, I'd go to Hell and back for them and I know they feel the same.

The best way to show your love to someone is: the way that feels the most natural for you. You don't need to be on each other's faces 24/7 to be a loving SO. If it comes from the heart, that it proper love.

Something that I will never understand is how accessibility is always an afterthought. Wouldn’t it just be easier and cheaper to build accessible unisex toilets rather than a bunch of random gendered ones?

Gendered toilets is such a bizarre concept to me. Some people claim it’s for safety but if a creep wants to go into a toilet and creep on some people nothing is stopping them? Plus I know a lot of my guy friends wouldn’t hesitate to kick out and call out someone creeping on a woman for example.

It’s just like how TERFs don’t want transgender people in bathrooms. Hello?? Don’t you realise there is literally no law that is preventing anyone of the opposite sex from walking into the others bathroom. It’s a public toilet, a guy could walk into the woman’s bathroom if he wanted too, there is no laws or rules. God forbid “someone pretending to be a certain gender” walks in and uses the bathroom.

Plus why do I have to go walk to the other side of the shopping centre to find one that’s accessible and has a handrail, seems pretty stupid to make people who are assumably physically disabled travel to some random corner out of the way to use a bathroom.

Wanting top surgery while having OCD is one of the most awful experiences.
