I think autistic people who found out they were autistic later in life, whether it be actually diagnosed or self diagnosed, go through a hyperfixation. And I think it's less of a hyperfixation on autism as an individual "concept" and more of a hyperfixation on yourself.

My family may have hated my rabbit hole of autistic things but I'm grateful I had the opportunity to have myself as a hyperfixation. I know more about myself than anyone else now and I think that's one of the most beautiful things in the world.

i totally understand foggy and karen being upset at matt because he said he was gonna stop being daredevil but he didnt, but i also think they dont really understand how HARD it would be for matt to stop for good. he hears every crime going on, every burglary or assault or abuse thrown out at someone. all night while hes trying to sleep, hes bombarded with the sounds of people suffering and he knows that he can help, he can do just a tiny bit to stop someone's suffering, if only in the slightest. wouldnt that eat you up, if you could hear it and knew you could help but didnt? if you knew there was something you could do but you didnt and people got hurt, wouldnt it ruin you?

My favourite is the Whale shark! As the biggest fish in the ocean they range from 39-59ft in length but the largest recorded was 62ft! (That just a little over 12 me’s!)

love it when the autistic experience of not fully belonging anywhere and always being on the fringes of whatever community you find yourself in. of masking to belong even slightly and still knowing that you don’t really Belong and that the people you surround yourself with Don’t Really Care about you and being the butt of a joke you don’t understand and being in your own little bubble, not as a safe space but as a result of being isolated from everyone else because no matter where you are you are autistic and you just can’t belong, is replicated in fandom spaces. in spaces for things you love and enjoy. love that so much
