please could i have an urgent request? i'm chronically ill and suffer from intense chronic leg pain due to my illness, this makes it very hard for me stand/walk/go up stairs. i've found out recently that i'm going to need a crutch or cane within the next 3-6 months and i'm incredibly distraught about this.

could you write about marius von hagen with an s/o who uses a mobility aid like this? if this makes you uncomfortable in any way then it's no problem, thank you very much

Summary: In which you find out you have to use Mobility Aid due to the affect your illness has on your legs, and how Marius reacts to this/comforts you through this.

[A/N: Hey babes, I'm so sorry you have to go through this. You're very strong for dealing with chronic pain each day, and having to deal with such devastating news like that. But I know you can get through this, no matter how hard it may be. I hope these headcanons provide you with a bit of comfort. It's my first time writing for Marius! I haven't gotten any tot requests so this was nice. tbh tho I haven't played tot for a while (i've been busy with work and other things) so I don't know how in character he is NFJEKAF. Hopefully it's alright and i hope you enjoy! Praying for you and sending you lots of love <3]

Marius:

Let me just put it out there that you using crutches or a cane doesn’t negatively affect Marius at all 

He’s so incredibly in love with you that NOTHING would ever change that, EVER

He of course hates how much this change has impacted you–seeing you sad breaks his heart, but he’d never let that show on his face

He remains the same cheeky, flirty, Marius you know and love and tries to get your mind off your negative thoughts by treating you like he always has

Your chronic leg pain was something he grew used to over time, doing everything in his power to try and find a solution to your illness, using as much money as he needed to blow off on doctor appointments and literally any other resource that could possibly help you

But when the ultimate answer was using mobility aid, Marius continued to remain positive in hopes that his attitude would rub off on you and make you feel a little more hopeful about your situation

He goes out to do anything and everything with you, your disability won’t stop him from taking you to your usual spots

He makes easier walking routes for you to get into his company and home so you don’t have to worry about that

Other than that though, he treats you like he always does because he doesn’t want you to feel like he’s treating you a certain way or that he’s only with you out of pity, but this man really loves you and you better believe he’ll make sure you know that for a fact

On days where your situation hits hard on you and you just feel so depressed and hopeless, Marius is right by your side supporting you

“I know this isn’t the kind of life you would have chosen for yourself. Hell, even I wish I could do more to help you so that you wouldn’t have to go through this, but we do. You have this illness and it’s affecting your legs, so we just have to work through it, babe. You’re not alone in this, you have my 100000000% unconditional support and love. I love you so much and nothing will ever change that. I know some days will be harder than others, but we’ll get through each day together, alright?”

Usually he doesn’t get so serious, but when you look so dejected and sad,  he has no choice but to straighten up and be there for you emotionally as well–his playful attitude still shines through though so look forward to that

Rain or shine, Marius will find a way to lift your spirits and not have you focus on the negative side of your illness–he’d do anything to keep a smile on your face

heeseung notices you haven’t been smiling much lately and starts to worry. when you finally tell him you’re insecure about your smile, he looks at you with disbelief and says, “you’re joking, right, princess? your smile is beautiful. i could stare at it all day.” he gently grabs your chin, making you look into his eyes, giving you a look “please don’t feel that way,” he whispers before peppering your face with soft kisses.

jay notices you keep covering your mouth in photos. at first, he doesn’t think much of it, but then he starts noticing you doing it every single time. concerned, he finally asks you about it. when you admit that you’re insecure about your smile, he looks at you and says, “are you kidding me? you look beautiful with your smile.” he pauses, then adds softly, “do you know the reason why I fell in love with you? because of your pretty smile.” he looks into your eyes. “love, you’re beautiful the way you are.” with that, he kisses your forehead softly.

jake notices you covering your smile, and he gently says, "baby, i want to see your pretty smile." you hesitate, but he persists, "what's wrong?" when you finally admit that you're insecure about your smile, he immediately reassures you, "don't be, because i love your smile. It's one of the things I love most about you." with that, he leans in and kisses your lips softly, letting you melt into his kiss.

sunghoon notices how you often cover your smile. he's always been able to pick up on the smallest things about you. one day, while you're both sitting together, he decides to bring it up. "hey, why do you keep covering your smile?" he asks, his eyes full of concern. you admit you're insecure. he tilts his head, genuinely curious. "why are you insecure about that? your smile is pretty, and i love it. it's the prettiest thing about you. his words make your heart flutter, and you can't help but smile, this time without covering it.

you and sunoo are sitting together, chatting about random things, when you decide to ask him a question that's been on your mind. "what do you think of my smile?" you ask, trying to sound casual. sunoo looks at you, his eyes lighting up. "your smile? i love it. it's a smile that lights up my whole day and gives me butterflies in my stomach." you feel your heart flutter at his words, but the insecurity still lingers. "really? because… i'm actually really insecure about it." his eyes widen in disbelief. "are you serious? your smile is beautiful. i love it," he says, gently taking your hand and giving it a reassuring squeeze. a small, genuine smile forms on your lips.

wow yeah, that newest artem ssr was definitely a return to form. it really felt like an older artem card, and it also averted like. several of the pitfalls of the newer cards.

artem wasn't just tossed a new skill, the first card art was mc's imagination. even the reality of the story just had artem as a random awkward customer.

there was an actual story with plot points that built on top of each other. one that actually made sense to the characters, their pasts (attending the same uni), and their personalities.

additionally, the "reveal" from the story ties into their older theme of the red string of fate. fate kept drawing them together, but it was up to them to act on it.

artem was in character! i cannot express this enough!! he's obviously comfortable in their relationship, but not at the cost of his characterization. he's still artem. a relationship wouldn't warp him into someone entirely different. i don't know why year three fumbled this concept so bad, but i'm thrilled to see it fixed in year four.

rosa had personality!! she joked around, reacted to plot points like a normal person, and was the catalyst for the majority of the plot.

they had cute interactions! they teased each other! artem is fascinated by rosa's nail polish and SUCKS at applying it for her at first! i didn't feel like i was reading a phone book with this card, and honestly? a major improvement over the previous ssrs.

no shoehorned fanservice! they just told a story from start to finish without having to fall back on the most abrupt, awkward, and convoluted fanservice.

i wouldn't even rank this card in my top five artem cards, but holy shit the experience of reading a classic feeling artem ssr is UNREAL. it makes me so excited for the upcoming ssrs i haven't managed to find a translation for.
