it kind of sucks when all your friends and family, everyone you know, are all pairing off and getting married and havinf families, except you. you're the only one that doesn't have a partner and probably can/will never get one. especially if one around you has time for you anymore, they never reach out, never get back to you, because they're only focused on their partners and families. you're stuck alone and drift away from everyone through no fault of your own. you have no hope of finding your own partner or no motivation to look for one for whatever reason. the lack of connections while seeing everyone around you having their own can get overwhelmingly lonely at times....

Checked my old med records re: transition dates bc today's Pl/Pa appt is probably going to be a fucking doozy where I anticipate being quizzed on my transition thus far and future goals for it

#text post #getting ready ahead of time for the appt rn and am just a bit stoned to make sure the anxiety doesn't annihilate me lmao #I'm so glad Housemate is coming with to help me out as needed during the appt #like. if they drop me as a patient after this at least I'll have a witness to how they've been acting/the results of it #bc I've never once been believed at the start abt issues I have w/medical providers #only after it's gotten worse #and I'll have someone to help me navigate both hitting the grocery store after the appt w/out breaking down & also in plans #to call the new office and explain what happened (if it does tho i'm hoping they'll just wait it out w/me until Oct for my new clinic appt)#and hope they can help keep me on T and my lamotrigine until my first visit w/them (tho I'm already on their waitlist too)#I still have so much admiration for PlPa but my god. this has been a fucking nightmare in the end for me #and has heightened parts of my dysphoria and made me more anxious and frustrated at being misgendered #which still happens unfortunately often but like. no one is gonna apologise so I just roll with it #and I really didn't need that on top of adjusting to a move across the country #but it's whatever bc i'll get thru this appt see the new doc eventually and things will be more stable w/my care #and in the meantime I can think abt anniversary celebration ideas for next year

On today's disability day of mourning, I would like to remind people that the first victims of the nazi regime were disabled people. Disabled people were considered to have "life unworthy of life" and to be "useless eaters." This rhetoric was not left in the '40s; people continue to believe similar things about disabled people and our value, and there are still disabled people murdered around the world by their families or caregivers. Today is a day of mourning, but I would also like to reaffirm that this rhetoric is wrong; we all have value as human beings, regardless of our differences, regardless of our needs, and regardless of our economic output.

#Being in Vienna on today's disability day of mourning means that the victims of the holocaust #have been top of mind #I'm a subway ride away from the hospital that killed nearly 800 disabled children #And I know that my grandmother born pre-mature in 1940 #would have been considered life unworthy of life #Vienna has improved undoubtably #but I can't help but feel the acute difference in how many fellow disabled people I see in public #Compared to Canada or even other countries I have visited #The loss of those children #and all disabled people murdered by the nazi regime #still has echos in todays world #My grandmother is still alive some of those children would still be alive today had it not been for the rhetoric that they were unworthy #They never got a chance to become adults but they should have
