Okay next in the daily chat series is this one featuring Leviathan!

"But CC," you may be saying, "didn't you already post a daily chat story with Levi?"

Yes, I did a while ago. But then I deleted it. So if you saw that and were confused, I'm sorry! The problem is Levi lol. No, but seriously, I didn't like how that story turned out, so I decided to delete it and try again with a different chat. I find I sometimes have trouble writing Levi's character and honestly I think it's because his anxiety really hits close to home?? I mean, in the game, it's really not that bad. He just gets nervous sometimes when MC gets romantic and out in crowds of normies lol. But I've been dealing with anxiety (social anxiety specifically) for my entire life, so I tend to overthink it when I write a character with a similar affliction. I think I write the character's anxiety more like my own, which makes it feel too OOC to me. BUT I think I did okay this time, so here it is, attempt number two!

GN!MC x Leviathan

LEVIATHAN: Where did I go wrong? For Memory Kiss 2. Ugh, I got the bad ending.

MC: Want to replay it together?

LEVIATHAN: Sure! I just need Suzu-chan's happy ending… … and Shiro-chan's true ending. When you come, bring some drinks. Thanks!

It had all been going just fine. You had brought a few cans of devil crush super spicy mango juice to Levi's room. He had already started up the game Memory Kiss 2, prepared to play through it with you.

You just hadn't anticipated how awkward playing a dating sim together had the potential to be. Now you were sitting next to Levi on the floor of his room, blushing to your roots as the character on the screen swooned at one of your suggested dialogue options. You were both surprised that this option had worked.

Moments ago, Levi had expressed his doubt about it. "That line's just too flirty!" he said. "Suzu-chan will probably be offended that you're being so bold!"

"No way," you disagreed. "It's a great line."

"Why do you think that?" Levi asked.

"It would work on me," you said.

Levi had spluttered at you, unable to respond properly to this revelation. Despite his anxiety at what you just said, he managed to choose the dialogue option in question.

You both watch in stunned silence as Suzu-chan reacted with a multitude of little hearts.

You were embarrassed now because you actually thought Levi was right. It was an overly flirty option. But sometimes it was nice to hear something bold, something that left no room for uncertainty, something that indicated the person you were talking to wasn't just slightly interested, but actually wanted you.

The fact that this video game character seemed to agree with that assessment was pretty embarrassing.

"Y-you were right," Levi managed to say.

You cleared your throat and tried to brush it off. "Of course I was right," you said.

Levi put down his controller. He wouldn't look at you. "B-but you're nothing like Suzu-chan," he said. "And you said…"

"I know what I said," you interrupted, mostly because you didn't think you could stand it if he repeated what you had said. "Suzu-chan is a video game character, Levi. She has a programmed personality. Real people are more complicated. And I… well, I…"

Levi turned to you suddenly, grabbing both of your hands and squeezing them. He still couldn't quite look you in the eye. "Do you want me to start staying stuff like that? This sort of… Asmo-like stuff?!"

You laughed. "I don't know if I could take you seriously if you tried doing that."

Levi drooped a little. "Yeah, it would be more funny than anything, huh?"

"I just want you to be yourself, Levi," you said, watching him smile and blush at this comment.

You let go of his hands and picked up the controller. You had a feeling about what was coming next in the game, so you pressed through some of the remaining dialogue until a new set of options came up.

You selected one of the options, letting the game highlight it without actually choosing it yet. You put the controller back in Levi's hands.

"I want this from you far more than any flirty line," you said softly into his ear, leaning in close to him.

Levi froze at first, his eyes on the screen. You had highlighted the option that said only kiss me.

But then he seemed to gather up his confidence. He hit the button on the controller, choosing to kiss the character, who reacted with a sweet little kiss sound. But Levi wasn't looking at the screen anymore. The controller was abandoned on the floor as his arms circled around your waist, pulling you close.

You could tell that he was still nervous - a slight shake in his touch, the light blush on his cheeks, the way he kept his eyes closed - but he still leaned in to press his lips to yours.

Levi always started off timid, but with a little encouragement, he lost himself enough to let go of that anxiety. So you kissed him back, putting your arms around him and clutching onto his shirt as you pulled him closer to you.

Sure enough, this was all Levi needed. His response was to become needy, arms tightening around you, his movements more desperate, even a gentle nip at your bottom lip.

You pulled away just enough to whisper in his ear. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to distract you like this. What about the game?"

Levi made a low noise in his throat, half groan, half growl. "MC, for once I don't care about the game. Right now, real life is way better."

You laughed because this actually meant a lot coming from Levi. You kissed him again and he was ready for you, both of you losing yourselves in each other while Suzu-chan displayed on the screen, forgotten.

Friends to Lovers Tournament: Round 1, Side A, Match 7

propaganda under the cut!

Sasuke/Mai:

THE MOST FRIENDS TO LOVERS EVER. Mai is the MC of Ikesen which is a dating sim/otome game. Originally from the 21st century, she's accidentally time travelled to the Sengoku Era where she unknowingly rescues Oda Nobunaga from his historical death thus changing the course of history forever. She reunites with a fellow 21st century dweller Sasuke whom she'd briefly met right before the accidental time travel, who is now a ninja. Though they're on opposing sides, they're friends in all the routes as Sasuke promises to protect her and bring her back to the 21st century safely. Regardless of which route you're playing, Sasuke will always be your friend and he's the same smart yet silly goofy guy, making references to 21st century events and slang and memes which have the other warlords scratching their heads in confusion. Sasuke's route is the ultimate friends-to-lovers + slow burn + mutual pining combination, as they both gradually develop feelings for each other, yet it's also kinda frustrating (in a good way) bc Sasuke is SO clueless to her feelings and his own for a good majority of the route while Mai was down horrendous for him. The pay-off in the end is really sweet (i legit cried when sasuke finally confessed to mai lol) and spicy (ikesen is uhh a bit of a mature game), which makes the achingly slow burn really worth it. Also Sasuke's just a really nice fucking guy, like real boyfriend material, no red flags, the perfect golden retriever boyfriend frfr

Submission 1:

they're from the winter troupe of the mankai company, and unlike the other troupes they're all adults. that said, they all have varying degrees of trauma and emotional stuntedness. it takes them some time to fully open up to each other bc they're all very cautious of each other's boundaries and don't want to cross any lines which initially led to some issues in the group's formation. over time they've learned to bridge the gap while still being mindful of hard boundaries. at one point they have a discussion about what exactly their relationship is (gay) cuz they were talking about how the other troupes have clearly defined dynamics (spring=family, summer=besties, autumn=rivals & teammates) but they don't,, and homare deadass says they're "people bound by a common destiny" which in and of itself sounds very Gay (like why are you as a man bound to other men by a common destiny), but it goes even further because homare starts spouting WEDDING VOWS: "In sickness and in health, for better or for worse, we shall share our laughter and our tears as those with an intertwined fate... How beautiful we are!" THIS IS A DIRECT QUOTE FROM THE GAME AND THE MC EVEN REMARKS "i can already hear wedding bells in the distance..." 

gradually they become closer, in individual sub-units based on who's paired up as co-leads for a play, and as a troupe overall. also two of its members are childhood friends who had a messy 'divorce' in their young adulthood and it took the game breaking its genre to introduce a timeloop for them to finally make up if that means anything to you. one of their troupe songs "precious to us ~bokura no kisetsu" has some pretty beautiful and fruity lines: "The many kindnesses born in me here / Never fail to breathe life into my chest / Even all the pain and bitterness / Have now become dear to me (Ah…Stay with me)", "No matter how many times our season passes / Let us keep living together / Holding our hands, without ever letting go / Let us open up the curtain of tomorrow", "There is no need for words, because once our gazes meet / Joy sparks a light in your eyes", "Our journey, may it be a brilliant one / As our breaths overlap as one"

a lot of their plays has a LOT of homoerotic tension between the two leads too. their first play has tsumugi and tasuku play angels, and it's heavily implied that tasuku's character has an unrequited crush on tsumugi's character. their third play has azuma play a vampire and tasuku play Just Some Guy and it's generally agreed in the fandom to be one of the gayest, if not THE gayest, play A3 has ever written. obviously the vampire thing is very fruity, but there's also how the vampire was longing to bite the human but was holding himself back, and when the vampire left the human in the end, the human was absolutely HEARTBROKEN over it and was swearing they would reunite one day. the stage play of this takes it even further by having the vampire embrace the human from behind and BITE his neck. the fourth play is a watered-down adaptation of Phantom of the Opera where they genderbend Christine into Chris among other things and change the relationship between Chris and the Phantom to one of friendship.... ostensibly so, because there's still a lot of homoerotic undertones in their interactions. i could go on but this should be enough of a sampling taste

the writers rlly said "let's take 2 normal guys who are childhood friends and have been into theatre since their school days and have them go through a pre-canon messy divorce, an eccentric poet with a potentially controversial haircut, an amnesiac sleepyhead who can only be awoken with marshmallows but is also somehow extremely athletic despite doing nothing but sleeping and eating marshmallows all day, a man who is so beautiful and mysterious he breaks gender, and a supposed android from a fictional south asian country, and throw them into a blender, oh and for good measure let's throw in some theatre and angst and gay and angst and gay" and the end result was marriage. i mean it took them a lot of awkward fumbling around and conflicts to get there but they got there and thats what matters. ok *technically* in-text they're all rlly good friends and kinda found family BUT they are found family via marriage papers i do not make the rules chief

Submission 3:

The reason why they are so friends-to-lovers to me is because their relationship is founded on quiet and unconditional acceptance of each other—regardless of how flawed they may be or how heavy their burdens and trauma may be. When the troupe first formed (sans Guy who was in another country at the time), they didn’t have any major clashing personalities at the very beginning and generally they were mindful of each other’s boundaries, unlike the other troupes that came before them. However, it’s BECAUSE they were too mindful of said boundaries that it was difficult for them to break down their walls and bond as a team—and there were a LOT of walls to break down, as all of them had varying degrees of emotional baggage and trauma.

In fact, it’s only three plays in that they finally truly start opening up to each other, with Azuma getting the ball rolling by opening up about the deep loneliness that haunted him ever since his childhood. It’s during this conversation that they also discuss what their relationship as a troupe is, because the other troupes have defined their relationship as a team (Spring is family, Summer is best friends, Autumn is rivals & teammates), and Homare goes on to declare that they’re “people bound by a common destiny” and goes on to spew wedding vows: "In sickness and in health, for better or for worse, we shall share our laughter and our tears as those with an intertwined fate... How beautiful we are!" I mean… it can’t get any more obvious than this, really. They are married.

But anyway, Tsumugi says he wants their relationship to be one where while they respect each other’s need for space, they’ll also be there for each other and share their pains and burdens—or in his words: “supporting each other when our burdens become too heavy to bear on our own”—which I think is really sweet because it carries this idea of quiet, unconditional acceptance; they don’t push each other to share more than they’re comfortable with sharing, but with whatever they ARE comfortable with sharing everyone carries the load and pain because pain is easier to bear when you’re not bearing it alone <3 

A later part of the story focuses on Hisoka, a mysterious amnesiac, being terrified of regaining his memories and facing some “sin” from his past that has led to another character, Chikage, trying to take revenge on him. When he confesses this to the rest of the Winter troupe, Homare asks, “How heavy is this sin you bear?” and Azuma suggests, “Perhaps it’s just heavy enough for the five of us to carry together.” (at this point Guy hasn’t joined yet). The stage play adapts this scene into a song called Key to Memory. The key (pun unintended) part is 1:27 where there’s a back-and-forth between Hisoka and the other Winter troupe members (sans Tasuku because he wasn’t in that particular play)

Hisoka: “I’m scared…”

Tsumugi, Homare, Azuma: “It’s okay.”

Hisoka: “My unforgivable sin…”

Tsumugi, Homare, Azuma: “Let’s carry it together.”

Hisoka: “I might not be me anymore.”

Tsumugi, Homare, Azuma: “It’s all right. We understand and we accept you, so let’s go together.”

And it ends with Hisoka singing: “I was afraid to open the door of my locked memories. But if everyone is here, I believe I can do it.”  In both the game and stage play, Hisoka fully regains his memories and reconciles with Chikage (long story). He tells Fuyupoly he can’t go into detail about his past with Chikage because it’s dangerous but he’ll tell them when the time is right, and they accept this saying that no matter what his past is, they know and love him as their Hisoka which obviously is a very sweet thing for friends to say, but it’s also very Marriage-coded to me.

Later, Guy is introduced as an android from Zahra (a fictional South Asian country) and joins the Winter troupe as a temporary member—because he’s stuck in Japan for the foreseeable future—until they find a permanent member to replace him. The other Winter members have a conversation among themselves and agree that regardless of whether he’s really an android or a human they’ll accept Guy for who he is and help him improve his acting, which again harkens back to the idea of ‘unconditional acceptance’. Eventually it’s revealed that Guy is in fact a human who has forgotten his memories of the past and his emotions. He recovers his memories all at once which shocks his system and causes him to pass out. When he wakes up in his room, he finds the rest of the Winter Troupe asleep around the room—which I believe is symbolic of their whole theme of “quiet acceptance”: they don’t want to push Guy to share beyond what he’s comfortable with, but they’re always there to listen to him and share his load if that’s what he wants. He opens up about the memories he recovered, and they don’t treat him with pity like he’s a lost child, but still extend gentle empathy and understanding. They also emphasise that it genuinely doesn’t matter to them whether he’s human or android because he’s Guy first and foremost. It’s at this point that Guy truly lets himself become part of the Winter troupe/Fuyupoly and not just as a temporary stand-in member, because he’s found a place where he’s found himself again and people who will accept who this “himself” is, whether that be an android devoid of emotions or a human brimming with vivid beautiful emotions.

I mean I occasionally break the 4th wall and sometimes my sims seem to be aware that they are sims. but if I'm being serious about it then I'm really just an impartial camera in their lives. a detached third party. like even what I write for the Lucky stories are determined by dice rolls and not me lol so. I don't think of myself as a deity.

well, seeing as I'm still playing these games and I'm still largely enjoying them, yeah I'm pretty connected to them. although if TS5 really is live service or whatever then I'm really not going to play it lol.

I think of some sims I've had, some of their stories and their lives, and yeah I get a lil bit emo. the same goes for my friends' sims! I miss them too. as for depth...I mean I dunno it's probably not all that deep for me. I think the sims is just a toy. I don't necessarily want too much of real life to seep into it bc real life sucks ass.

this is MILDLY ironic but also kinda not: you know how in TS4 sims' moods change on the flip of a dime and they go through it multiple times a day? even bad moodlets have an end to them, and at the end of it your sim is just ... Fine. it'll be alright.

Just about nothing is known about Sammy's past, but what is known is minimal. Upon their death, they were sent to Purgatory, due to having not done anything meaningfully good or bad in their life. After their arrival, they joined Psychopomps Incorporated, the organization that ensures that every dead being goes to the afterlife. Since then, they have been living comfortably in Purgatory with an adopted flock of pigeons.

LAST SONG

well this is embarrassing..

This was the last song I properly listened to. I skimmed the Obey Me anniversary song (forgot to listen to it properly lmaoo). This is the menu theme and classmating theme (where the mc and the heroines form star babies, but not explicitly.) for the game CONCEPTION II.

I used to be a real dating sims game fan as a teen, and I did quite enjoy this one. But I like this theme as it's very calming and relaxing, especially in this busy and difficult world. I actually bought the game SPECIFICALLY for this theme song!

Favorite Color

Blue. I LOVE blue. But I also love metals such as gold, silver and bronze. Pink is also a very nice color. Blue is calming to me, but rich metals are to die for.

Currently Watching

I am currently watching Canada's Drag Race VS The World, I am a huge fan of drag performers. But damn, the level of challenge and ability the performers have to show is just extremely high. It's a good show, but absolutely a pressure cooker that stretches the contestants to their very extremes.

I just finished the anime Tsundere Akuyaku Reijou Lisolette/ Going Live! Endou and Kobayashi bla bla. It was an absolute BANGER. I love the instrumental soundtrack, and the characters were very fun to watch.

I also watch The Dog House, a show about people rescuing dogs from shelters and rehoming them with a wide range of different clients. It's a great way to learn about what dogs are genuinely like; as I have a lot of catching up to do when it comes to understanding them.

Sweet/Savory/Spicy

I like SPICY food (sometimes). Sweet foods are brilliant but then for some reason, when I eat them they suddenly become too sweet... there's no consistency when it comes to taste and flavor for me. Some days spicy food is great, other days I can barely eat it.

New posepack: #16 You’re Home

For Valentine’s Day I decided to publicly release a pack I made a while ago, but didn’t mention beyond some IG pictures because it was *spicy* and I got funny about the idea of people who know me in real life seeing it. Lmaaaaooo. Then I remembered that everyone already thinks I’m weird, and if this adds a little more seasoning then so be it (note: if you’re one of the people who downloaded the original, it’s the same except I changed an arm position in the 6th pose that was bugging me. If you want the updated pack you’ll need to delete the old one first). Made with masc rigs but ought to work for any gender - just beware of clipping with particularly busty or buff Sims. These poses were made with a slight height difference which isn’t actually that noticeable, but I think it made make a mess of things if you use height sliders in game? I dunno, I don’t use them. 

You can use other desks but might need to TOOL around for a perfect fit.

Please don’t redistribute, claim as your own, put behind a paywall etc.

AAAAHHHH you knew i wanted to ramble about him didn’t you! 🙈 thank you and you know i adore your sims too, as a long time follower. 💖

i used this post and this post to help me come up with some prompts. my creativity for writing has been so dry lately. i think i would be able to answer more of those prompts if i started working on my story again. but idk i’m in that phase where i think the whole plot is stupid and needs to be completely redone 🙄 anyways.

what colour are their eyes? do people notice their eyes? is there anything special about them (shows emotion easily, literally magical...)?

amir has deep, warm, honey-brown eyes. i wanna say they’re intense, mysterious, and vulnerable, which is a striking combination, so it’s hard for anyone who makes eye contact with him to not notice their beauty. he has the sort of gaze that makes you feel seen. but people rarely feel comfortable complimenting him on his physical attributes because he gives off an intimidating and serious vibe. when he does receive compliments, he feels surprised, appreciative, and awkward because he isn’t used to being praised. i think if someone were to compliment him specifically on his eyes, it would catch him so off guard he would not know what to say! 

what makes them cry? do they cry easily?  

amir does not cry easily. he can’t/won’t cry unless he is alone or unless he feels really safe around someone. he often feels numb to bad things and it’s been ingrained in him to not show weakness in front of others (which he is trying to unlearn). it would take something really hurtful, shocking, tragic and personal to make him cry. 

🌲 How deeply does your OC feel? Are they typically empathetic or do they have a hard time connecting with others in this way? What are they like when offering support and comfort to someone they care for? 

amir is sensitive and feels deeply even though he puts on his tough guy act and tries hard to suppress his emotions (funny how that works). he is a strongly empathetic person and a good listener, but he finds it difficult to offer emotional support and comfort verbally, it’s something he has to make a concerted effort to do, not something that comes easily and naturally.

he is someone who other people feel comfortable opening up to after they get to know him, but he is not someone who feels comfortable opening up or letting people in. he is really good at offering a non-judgemental ear and he is someone you could sit in comfortable silence with. he’s not one for empty platitudes, motivational speeches, and live-laugh-love type quotes. 

🌳 What is your OC’s favourite way to relax after a stressful day? Do they have a favourite book to curl up with? A hobby? Or do they have a nice bubble bath and have an early night to bed? 

for exercise, amir likes boxing and lifting weights. following a workout routine gives him a sense of control over his life and makes him feel alive.

he enjoys reading non-fiction such as biographies, memoirs, generally any books about fascinating real people and historical events. he also enjoys watching action, horror, and drama films, preferably those with an artful twist to them, and even better if the story is meaningful and thought-provoking, although that’s not always necessary. he likes documentaries as well.

he would probably have a letterboxd account that he takes Very Seriously.

he also likes his hot showers and indulging in greasy, spicy, and fried foods.

he likes the simple things.

🍂 Does your OC enjoy hugs? What do they do as a show of affection for: their friends, their family, their significant other(s) or for strangers? Over all what are they like with recieving affection from others?

amir thinks of physical touch as really intimate so he only enjoys giving and receiving hugs from people he really likes and feels comfortable with. otherwise, he does not want to touch or be touched.

he did not grow up in a household and environment where people were physically affectionate with each other in platonic ways, that wasn’t something that was really encouraged, especially for boys and men.

with casual friends, acquaintances and strangers, he is comfortable with things like a pat on the back, a fist bump, a handshake, maybe a quick and non-touchy hug, but nothing more.

with his significant other, the person he desires, he wants to do anything and everything they want. when receiving affection, he would be flustered, perhaps overwhelmed, and definitely hungry for more. he’s all-or-nothing when it comes to physical touch. he strongly associates physical touch with love and romance, so he would not be able to enjoy romantic/flirtatious/emotionally charged hugs (and more) from people he didn’t have strong feelings for.

Bonus fact: What is your favourite fact about this character and why? 

i think my favourite and most personal fact about this character is that the basis of his personality was inspired by someone i used to know (although obviously i have changed and fictionalized a lot). it’s not so much that i remember that person fondly or miss them, it’s more that the real-life-inspiration makes Amir as a character more real and more special to me compared to my other sims who i have less of an emotional attachment to, who are not based on people i personally knew

Yes, actual authentic Chinese food is really delicious indeed. I am very glad that you enjoy my varieties of my food CC too ^_^ (which is...  zòngzi and Indonesian food). The authentic Chinese food I represented are quite expensive that are usually served in restaurant and the most famous ones.

The Sims is life simulator genre where Sims spend their time 30-40% eating as normal daily lives like real life human lives, therefore, food representation must be make sense and relevant like real life ones.  

From the render picture, clockwise starts from top: 

牛肉炒麵  Niúròu chǎomiàn (Stir-fried noodle beef) 

四川麻辣豬肉拉麵  Sìchuān málà zhūròu lāmiàn (Sichuan hot & spicy noodles, served with pork meat and Pak Choy vegetables) 

四川擔擔麵  Sìchuān dàn dàn miàn (Sichuan hot & spicy noodles) 

紅燒豬蹄  Hóngshāo zhū tí (Braised pork trotters)

紅燒肉  Hóngshāo ròu (Red braised pork belly) 

燕窩湯 Yànwō tāng (Swallow bird’s nest soup) 

蒜蓉炒青菜 Suàn róng chǎo qīngcài (Stir-fried Pak Choy with garlic)

Yep, there are a lot of Chinese food variants other than I created above due too many and there are many different regions/provinces provides each local cuisine. Hot pot, Dim Sum (someone in Sims community already made Dim Sum CC, no need for me to create), fish, crabs, pork sausages, rice porridge, century eggs, 饅頭  mántou bread, 油條  Yóutiáo fried dough similar to churros, and more🤤.

If you interested in Chinese culture, here is additional info written by myself, not copy paste from other sources:

Chinese food is meant for sharing. Chinese & general Asian culture emphasizes on family, unmarried adults still live with our parents. Chinese dining table usually has round shape because round symbolizes “unity”. One big table serves many varieties of meal as options, then put it on one bowl of rice with chopsticks. Chinese chopsticks are the longest compared to Japanese and Korean. 

Food that we ethnic Chinese usually eat is very different than food labeled as “Chinese food” eaten by Americans and Westerners in general. Real Chinese food has pork, seafood, vegetables, noodles (many variants of noodles such as wheat noodles, that has yellow color as the most common noodles known as 麵 miàn and rice noodles known as 米粉  mǐfěn), rice (as staple food, 粽子 zòngzi and  糯米雞 nuòmǐ jī , known famously in Cantonese: Lo Mai Gai have meat filling wrapped in leaves, rice porridge as comfort food), steamed bun, hot pot, incorporates 5 Spices (star anise, fennel seeds, Sichuan pepper, whole cloves,  cinnamon stick), and herbal as health supplement (ginger, red fermented rice (紅麴米)). Meat used are not just chicken, duck, beef, fish, pork, but there are a lot such as frog legs and sea cucumbers (very expensive served in restaurant). Also, meals using pork organs (liver, intestine, ear, nose), pig blood and chicken feet. As typical Asian culture, we are creative about food. One ingredient of food can be cooked in many ways: steam, boil, stir-fry in 10 or more 50 different ways.  

Fried rice is actually home-cooked food from leftover yesterday rice. But nowadays fried rice becomes one of important menus on food stalls and restaurants with a lot of modified 菜 （meat & vegetables) and seasonings. Meat used for the meal must be fresh, not frozen for too long. High-end Chinese food using high grade quality meat, seafood, and soy sauce.  

Definitely much more healthier and more variants than Americanized/Westernized Chinese “greasy - sweet sour something” which is labeled as “cheap fast food” in Western countries.

Therefore, do not believe “Chinese food” represented in The Sims 2,3,4. All of them are not authentic, Westernized Chinese food in Western countries’ Chinatown, cannot represent real food in China, Taiwan, Hongkong. Because of too many variants, TS3 World Adventures should provide more local food slots for Shang Simla (has 2) rather than Champs Les Sims (has 4).

Ahem. They're all my favorites, but I’ll focus in on a household. Let’s go with the Welsh/Lee/O’Doyles

1. Malia O'Doyle is really good at origami! She got teased sometimes as a kid for coloring things 'wrong' (because she's colorblind) but that doesn't matter when you're just folding sheets of white paper.

She likes making animals even more now that she’s allergic to real ones.

2.Chuck hates cologne and he prefers lightly scented soaps. Kiki can’t wear scents because he works in a kitchen and he doesn’t want anything messing with the smell of the food. Emmett wears the cologne Akira once got him for an anniversary - it smells like aniseed and clover.

7. Jyoti Lee’s afraid of the dark and big dogs. He’s even nervous around lovable chonk Doris.

9. Akira O’Doyle gets sick all the time, so he’s got an established routine. He eats spicy food, drinks gallons of honeyed tea, and wallows around the house wrapped in five blankets until Emmett finds him and cuddles him to sleep on the couch.

He also has a ‘sick suit’ - it’s a full-body fleece zip-up sack with big pockets on the sides for used tissues. Charlie hates it. He spends every cold season plotting how to steal it and light it on fire.

11. Chuck and Duncan sometimes get too bubbled-up for their work sessions to be even a little productive.

17. I’ll do Malia again - she’s very shy and very nice, so she’s a big walking ball of easily-swayed naivety. But she’s also an O’Doyle, so it’s probably not a good idea to try and make her do anything she doesn’t want to do.

22. If I had to pick which of my Sims would betray someone just for money, I’d probably say Emmett. Not anyone he lives with, but everyone else is fair game.

26. Chuck now hates almost everyone who works for big companies in the video game industry.

39. You couldn’t even stop Chuck and Emmett from crashing a wedding. Kiki would come along to keep and eye on them (and to scout the caterers), Chuck would get drunk and try to fight the whole wedding party. Emmett would start the conga line so he could pick everyone’s pockets.

Rudolph and Bennie would become the life of any party they snuck into - Malia would hide under her blankets for a week just at the thought.

48. Kiki and Chuck both believe the best revenge is living well (for very different reasons). Emmett would burn his enemies and salt the earth. Emmett would key someone’s car and let the air out of their tires because they cut in line at Starbucks.

i wanted to make this sappy little post to pat myself on the back. i am a CHRONIC too-many-ideas-start-and-never-finisher.

but since i’ve started sharing my sims content online in dec ‘20 - i’ve managed to finish one LP, and now one story (which i’ve been afraid to acknowledge as a real story bc imposter syndrome 🙃). that’s TWO things, from start to finish and that makes me SOO proud of myself, wow.

the sims is my favorite game, so i’m very intentional about creating and sharing content at a pace that keeps it fun for me and never to feel like a chore. i do my best not to burn myself out bc the sims is where i like to go when i am burnt out. somehow i managed to get into a groove with this story and post everyday for idk how long and i am SHOOKETH. who is this girl? idk her.

i’ve been blogging and creating content online since 2010 and i have a poor habit of getting a great momentum going and then quitting bc i “lost inspiration” or “mm this doesn’t feel right” 🙄 but when i finally listened to my partner and family to start sharing my simming online (and stop sharing it with them) i told myself i wouldn’t quit on this. i mean how could i? i’ve been playing this game since i was in what, elementary school and i don’t plan on stopping. so might as well share, right??

ANYWAY lol - with this story in particular, i’ve wrecked my brain time and time again, battling with myself about “ahhh is this stupid?” “oh no, is this too deep?” “oh does this make sense? ima ruin the whole thing” but at the end of the day, EYE liked it even if it was cheesy, or dark, or sometimes midly spicy so i said wth ima post it... and you guys hung in there and stuck with me. a lot of new folks came along for the ride. some of my favorite simblrs have followed me (did this story have anything to do with it? idk) and i am in disbelief.

so yea, this longgggg drawn out post is to acknowledge that i am proud of myself and my growth bc im good for hiding, especially on social media. cause i am NOT one of those introverts who can easily show up online, i’d much rather lurk and creep in someone else’s comments lol.
