Shredder Defeats Splinter ⚔️ | Full Scene | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

I’m still on my TMNT 2012 nostalgia trip! Don’t judge me lol. 

There are a few things I realized about Splinter’s sad death scene that make it even more painful on rewatching it:

After Raph and April’s initial screams when Splinter is impaled, there is no music or other distracting sounds. Just Splinter painfully wheezing for a few seconds. What a brutal way to die.

When you cut to Splinter lying on the ground after Shredder tosses him, it looks like Splinter is breathing rapidly! If I had not watched the show before, it would have given me a false sense of hope. Either this is an animation error or Splinter was alive for a few moments after hitting the ground. Does anyone else see this or are my eyes playing tricks on me??

Mikey and Splinter had no real moments together. Just look at Mikey’s memory with Splinter. That moment was not about Mikey, but Donnie. In that scene, Splinter was teaching Donnie about fighting without thinking and Mikey was just used as a demonstration. How tragic. All of Mikey’s major storylines have no or little Splinter involvement whatsoever.

Leo’s memory is the only one that features Splinter smiling. I do not know whether it conveys favouritism or ends the memories on a sweet note. 

Mikey calling Splinter ‘Papa’ hurts so much. Calling Splinter ‘Father’ was already rare in the series. When did Splinter stop making the turtles address him as a parent?! We did not see much of Splinter being a casual dad with his sons.

I love reminding other David Tennant fans that he was once a complicated angst-ridden android who took a bunch of mutants into space and then blew himself up at the end.

Ok so i recently started season 4 of TMNT (2012) and tbh is getting really difficult to watch man, i love the turtles but idk, it doesn't really makes sense to me that "random alien dinosaurs just took control of the earth and a random ass robot saved the turtles took them to the space and reversed time and now its like star wars but with turtles" like ???? Who's idea was this??? Is it a reference to the comics or what IM SORRY I REALLY CANT GET THE HYPE. I hope that the more i watch the more i will like it bcs it is so difficult im sorry.

TMNT 2012 Thoughts and Rankings

Hey everyone. I am finally finished with TMNT 2012 and now I see why everyone considers it like the best interaction of TMNT. Now for me personally, Rise of the TMNT well forever hold a special place in my heart because it was the show that made me fell in love with the turtle boys in the first place. With that being said, TMNT 2012 is for sure up there as far as one of my favorite cartoons. I'm just going to give some briefs thoughts and do some rankings

I'll be honest and say that it took me a while to get into the show. It is drastically different then Rise but I can honestly say that as the series went on, I actually liked some aspects of the show better then Rise. Like how it balances both the silliness and the seriousness (though it gets down right disturbing at times in Seasons 3 and 4). I would say that my favorite season is season 4 as I really loved the space arc and just the final episodes with the Super Shredder. My least favorite season is probably Season 1, though I really don't like the farmhouse arc in the first part of Season 3

If I was to rank who is my favorite turtle from this series, I would have to say that it would be Mikey. He is just down right adorable in this. His friendships with Leatherhead and Ice Cream Kitty are some of the cutest things I have ever seen. Not to mentioned that he pretty much the best lines. Raph is defintely a close second for me, though he did get on my nerves at times with his anger issues (I know that is part of his character but I really wished he wasn't so mean to Mikey as I think they have the best brotherly relationship of the whole show). Leo is third because I got tired of his self-sacrificing/ hero complex nonsense after a while, though I do think his character got better once the second half of season 3 came. Donnie is last because of his constant obession with April and just the constant bickering with Casey. Donnie however does have some funny lines and I really like when he and Mikey are paired up together (B-team sumpremacy)

I just wanted to share some of my thoughts on the TMNT 2012 and hopefully, in the future, I will make a post comparing some of the TMNT 2012 and Rise of the TMNT characters

Season 4 Episode 11 TMNT 2012

Donnie at the end. I have never seen him panic like that. The crack in his voice, physically falling to his hands and knees. He has never panicked that much before. And the shaky inhale, almost like the start of a panic attack. Probably was if April and Mikey didn’t step in.

He spiralled so quickly and so severely.

They lived through so much, they’re what, 16? It’s awful

This is such a funny father and son moment between these two, and I love it way too much.

Not only with Raph trying to get out of hearing a story from his dad that he's not interesting in/in the mood to hear, but also immediately wanting out the second he realizes it's about his dad's love life.

ahhh we're nearing the end! day 26 of tmaynt!!

i think its probably pretty obvious but 2012 is probably my favorite to draw and it was what started my love for tmnt about a decade ago, but i dont think i can actually choose between 2012, 2003 and rise. i also watched the entirety of 2003 way back when i first got into tmnt and 2012 and 2003 constantly wrestled for my favorite, but now that ive also finished rise its wiggled its way up there and all three are very good and very important to me for very different reasons

I’ll be honest, spare arc wasn’t the most interesting for me(farmhouse arc is still my favourite), but it introduced us to Y’Gythgba(Mona Lisa). Their relationship with Raph is the best!!!

And design of Hiidrala is just *chef’s kiss*! She’s so beautiful!

Also I have this drawing of Leo in version with tw/blood, so be careful. I like it so much!
