to be honest i kind of think a lot of the people who say really fearmongery things about how media literacy is "in decline" and how the younger generations are worse at dealing with "uncomfortable topics" than those before them are blinded by forced generational lines and their own nostalgia. our tragic and unimpeachable past youth in which we were innocent victims of the social climate around us vs their banal and doomed current youth in which they are hopelessly weak-willed agents of societal downfall. And they're stupider than us and uglier too.

So @somerandomdudelmao made a version of their sona in a dystopia (inspired by @tapakah0 doing the same to theirs) and the person in this ask named the robot C.A.S.5 and I thought, ‘well then there’s at least four other C.A.S. units out and about in the world�� leading to this being the end result! It was a lot of fun to come up with the different customizations each C.A.S. unit has.

also, the design for C.A.S.4 (Cash) was partially inspired by @mobiitez post.

ok weird question (maybe??) but- which label does pip go by? cause like i've seen tom refer to them as his wife but that was a while ago so idk has it changed at all??

It’s not a weird question at all! I think it’s good to check these things if you’re ever unsure to be able to be respectful and use peoples correct pronouns :)

Pip uses they/them pronouns out of drag and I think he/him in drag, and Tom refers to them as his wife. (The latest time I’ve heard him refer to them as his wife was on the latest episode of wing it that was recorded sometime around October I believe.)

The wiki probably says spouse just to be on the safe side, but either way the term spouse is still correct cause it does apply to anyone. (That would be a question for @youling-the-ghost :) (who is hopefully sleeping right now))

But yeah Pip is Tom’s wife and uses they/them (and they’re absolutely iconic)

Okie so I actually want to hear everyone’s thoughts on the Vengeance Saga, cause I have some mixed thoughts.

On one hand, IT WAS SO GOOD FROM A VOCALS PERSPECTIVE AND THE SONGS BEING BOPS. I was impressed by everyone’s performances (seriously I know in every saga everyone sounds awesome but this saga is just so visceral and surreal?!) Odysseus (Jorge the king himself) especially was so good in this musical?! His desperation and anger?? THE SCENE WHERE HE NEARLY DROWNS??? AAAAAAAAAAA

On the OTHER hand, I can’t be the only one that found the saga a little… corny? Not even the saga honestly just 600 strike. Idk I just couldn’t take 600 Strike seriously and I don’t think a song with that kind of narrative weight should have that effect. I recognize the musical is inspired by video games and anime, and that’s fine. But I feel there is a difference between being inspired by different works of anime versus using overused cliches and stereotypes from anime as a genre. (and maybe I’m taking it a little too literally but how the hell did Ody actually manage to torture Poseidon, like did the souls of his crew give him the power to stand to a god?)

Idk these are just initial thoughts I’d love to hear everyone’s takes bc I honestly don’t have a concrete judgement on 600 strike.
