How would Hilda react to Ravio and tetra being father daughter?

Complete and utter confusion. She just wouldn’t get why Ravio would be treating this random pirate kid who is apparently a Zelda(this part would make Hilda even more confused once she learns about that)as his daughter. Not to mention the fact that after the war’s over, they likely won’t see each other again. She just doesn’t really get the why behind it. Ravio loves helping people, Hilda understands that at the very least.

But once Hilda starts to hang out more with Tetra, I’d think she’d start to understand. The kid’s smart, witty, mischievous, and loves to do things all by herself. She tries to be independent even though it’s likely not the best idea from time to time. Hilda sees a bit of herself in Tetra, similar to how Ravio saw a bit of Hilda in Tetra as well. Hilda…pities Tetra, in how she doesn’t need to be so lonely, with the peaceful state of her time compared to Hilda’s. I already talked about Ravio views Tetra, and trying to write that was hard enough, and it’s somehow even harder to rewrite it but in Hilda’s view. Just know that it’s similar, but Hilda views Tetra in a more…pitying light I guess. And also since Tetra’s already doing better than before Ravio took her in, Hilda doesn’t really feel as negative(?) towards Tetra as she would’ve if she met her earlier during the war.

Hilda respects Ravio a bit more now. She already respected him before, but now that he took in a kid and is helping her out…even though she didn’t really get why before, now that she does, I guess you can see approves of the adoption. She even gets actual adoption papers for them lol. Very supportive.

the thing that bothers me about dragon riders is that the dragon absolutely does not have to let you climb on its back. your ability to 'ride' the dragon is entirely dependent on the dragon allowing you to do that. it could fly just fine without you sitting there. which means you are not a dragon rider, not really. that beast is not your pet. you're the dragon's pet. you're its trophy wife.

The second you start talking about some mysterious "they" that are controlling society in some fashion, you are engaging in dangerous conspiratorial thinking even if you're being woke about it. "They" did not institute the 40 hour work week specifically so you would be too tired to revolt. "They" did not invent the sleek minimalist aesthetic in order to crush the spirit of art in the common people. "They" are not pushing mediocre media into the mainstream in order to poison people's critical thinking skills.

Your best case scenario after that is you talk to someone who actually knows what the fuck they're talking about and you get embarrassed because you can't answer basic questions about your own ideology because you never learned anything past "the ruling class/capitalists/politicians are making things bad and if we got rid of them the bad things would all go away!"

Your worst case scenario is obviously the woo-to-fascist pipeline and you end up believing Jews are poisoning American food supplies with GMOs in order to turn us all into beta cucks, so like . . . maybe just stop blaming "them" before you fall down that route.

Obligatory round of disclaimers: Yes, sometimes people do bad things. Be specific about exactly who is doing what instead of ascribing it to some vague group of shadowy elites. Yes, sometimes things in society are bad. Learn to identify the root causes of complex social issues instead of assuming that they're actually extremely simple to fix and we're just not doing it because of some vague group of shadowy elites. Yes, minimalism isn't for everyone. Learn that some people don't share your tastes and get the fuck over it for the love of god.
