I met some new people today and when one of them asked about my pronouns I said they were she/fae and not just she/her

There are now officially five people I know IRL who know I use neos

This makes me happy for some reason

One thing about me is I am just some guy. Wholeheartedly. I've dabbled in dif gender identities esp at the beginning of realizing/accepting I am Not Cis -- ID'd as gender fluid, and would switch between presentations, and had some really formative experiences from that! Thought maybe I could be bigender, esp w my femininity. Depending on the day/presentation I'd go by she/they/he pronouns.

What I learned from this is that, this IS super cool but also. I felt distress at being she/her'd no matter what actually (just typing it out in reference to myself feels icky and unnatural to me hahah), I felt No Feelings In Particular at being they/them'd (it was nice! Much nicer than the previous one. But overall I have no strong feelings or connections to it). But being he/him'd? Filled me with SO much joy, and STILL fills me with SO much joy. I LOVE being called "my brother" by my sisters and I ugly cried when Stardew Grampa called me his grandson and my favorite thing to do in video games EVER is to customize the queerest looking blonde fucker imaginable in pink if I can fuckinh help it and talk to NPCs and have them effortlessly call me "son" or "lad" or "fella".

All of this is to say I have a lot of respect and almost envy for nonbinary/gender weird (said lovingly) people like. ESP people who use neopronouns and I think esp it/its pronouns are SO cool and provocative, like, spitting in the face of societal rules and expectations, spitting in the face of conformity, which is also something I do every day of my life! You'd think any type of out-there pronouns would be right up my alley!

Alas..... I am just some guy. And that makes me SO happy. Which is precisely WHY I'm just some guy!

i so i was wondering if it's okay to use neopronouns as a cisgirl, like I'm fine with being perceived as a girl (excluding obvious sexism) but people not being able to tell or mistaking me for nb or a boy also makes me really akshaksh sometimes but i feel like mainly cisgirl and I don't wanna be nb or a boy so even if i am a cisgirl is it okay to use neopronouns like fae/faer bcz she/her is fine but using fae/fae brings me so much fucking joy and alsjskak and gender euphoria but like im not sure if the only ppl allowed to use neopronouns are ppl that have neogenders but like he/him lesbians exist and pronouns aren't always gender so idkkkk

You're right, pronouns do not equate to gender, so have fun with it! I'm not a neopronouner user, I don't quite get it, but everything I know points to it being totally cool for u to use em. :D
