Just posting this for the ppl who LOVE to push the FANON narrative that Jason and Percy aren't close friends as CANON. Grover is listed as Percy's main best friend (along with Annabeth ofc but she remains in the girlfriend category) and Jason comes literally SECOND in the Official Riordan wiki fanpage, and he's even labelled as "one of percy's best friends" not just "friend" or "close friend" like the others.

I don't get why people deny this SO bad like- pls let the almost nonexistent rivalry they both had (which is mostly between Jason and Percy fans) stay fanon.

do you ever think about the events that led up to a friendship ending, one that you never got answers for, so you have to try to make your own conclusion? the type of end where someone is basically your best friend and you talk daily, then without warning, they suddenly barely acknowledge your existence or completely ghost you.

sometimes i'm reminded of the friend I had that I had plans to move in with and be roommates. we talked daily and were really close (at least I thought) and we seemed to understand each other and get along very well. then suddenly they they'd only respond to my messages with 1-3 words and never sent a message first, when before that it was novels of response and was daily and what we gave was equal. eventually they stopped interacting with me completely before suddenly blocking me with no explanation.

i spent a long time back then trying to figure out why they were acting like this, what I could have done. the only logical conclusion I came up with is so absurd that it still makes me laugh when I randomly remember it.

once in our group chat they asked if I watched the bee movie and said it was their favorite movie. I had not seen it, and didn't know anything about it besides the human woman lead was the love interest of the bee. I told my friend that's not my sort of thing. that human-bug romance makes me a bit uncomfy. I admit I also did poke a little fun at it because that was my response to that slight discomfort, but it was mostly just little jokes with friends. it was nothing bad like me shitting on the movie nor shaming my friend for liking it. mostly stuff like if they try to kiss the bee is so small wouldnt the woman accidentally inhale it? silly things like that.

but they took it seriously. they started explaining why it's so good beyond that weird romance. but I still said that's cool and all but i'm not super interested in it so don't plan to watch it. but i'm glad they enjoy it, though! and that it has a good message. i'm just not a movie person and don't really like watching them in general.

they left the group chat suddenly after that. can't remember if it was the same day or next day. but obviously it was related to that discission, considering it was our last. because that's when they started being super unresponsive and ghosty.

conclusion: they were secretly a bee furry and I accidentally offended them because I said that kind of romance makes me uncomfy. maybe they wanted to reveal that to me and thought i'd make fun of them for it and felt embarrassed. Mattheo Riddle didn't like you. That was clear to anyone who saw you two interact, and honestly, there never seemed to be any kind of reason behind it.

The assumption was just basic house prejudice, but Mattheo was fine with other Hufflepuffs, so why were you so 'special'? You knew he had it in him to be nice, heck, you'd harboured a crush on him since third year, so why now had he decided to be an ass?

Maybe it was that you had a habit of tripping over certain uneven flagstones when reading, or accidentally smashing bottles in potions because you'd spotted a niffler. But you couldn't help being clumsy, right?

Everytime something like that happened, Mattheo would give a sigh and eye roll, which made you upset, naturally. It's not like you wanted to fall over!

As a result you would confront him and he would say the obvious. 'you're so uncoordinated it's almost painful to watch.' Well unfortunately for you, it actually was painful.

So you could imagine the reaction when Snape paired you for potions.

"Careful."

"Shut up, I am being."

A quiet sigh.

"CAREFUL!" He threw out a hand to steady a jar of frogspawn you had nearly knocked over. You glared at him.

"It wasn't my fault, it was in an awkward place..." You said quietly.

Mattheo rolled his eyes, with that same sigh. "I'm sure it was."

neither of you are... good artists... but neither of you are about to judge one another for your skill levels

im... not even sure hes picked up a pencil before in his life, and that shows in his drawing of you

he keeps the art you make of him tucked away somewhere, where exactly... youre not actually sure, but you know he keeps them as youve caught him holding them before

you keep his drawings of you tucked away somewhere where they cant be damaged

... its not the best bonding activity, but its a nice little moment between the two of you that feels... normal

he love love loves watching you draw, so when you approached him with this idea hes over the moon! you want to draw him? and you want him to draw you as well? say no more!

hes not insanely skilled, but he doodles here and there! likes using bright colors, so expect his drawing of you to be vibrant! if you let him hes going to add extra stuff such as glitter and stickers! youre not sure where he gets them...

waits patiently for you to finish your drawing, he even does his best to sit as still as possible so you can get a better reference of him

i like to think that proxies are the ones who create slenders pages, and... well they arent exactly pretty, a lot being just scribbles

doesnt find much enjoyment in drawing, but he may agree to do this with you

now you on the other hand, you like drawing... and its likely masky may pick up on some of the things you do when making it, even if you dont notice him hes somewhere watching you

his drawing of you has the scratchy look a lot of the pages have... but since hes given more time to work on it, it looks a lot nicer than some of the pages even if theres some flaws in the anatomy and all

quietly looks at the drawing youve made of him, he doesnt seem offended by your portray of him so at least you have that going for you!

KUNIGAMI RENSUKE (pre-wild card):

- it doesnt matter what kind of kiss it is, he is so SO RED.

- i cant stop thinking abt when in the beginning of the manga when isagi compliments him and kunigami gets flustered and embarrassed

- his first kiss with you: his eyes were squeezed shut and he was as straight as a rod, hands by his side, heart beating out of his chest like on the verge of passing out

- but after some time he starts to get comfortable, a warm hand on your waist as you lean yourself into his body, his fingers tightly brushing your your cheek and jaw

- but even as he pulls away, you can see a deep blush covering his entire face

- his deep voice turns hoarse and honestly there’s the possibility of voice cracks if you nip or lick at his lips just enough

- kunigami whos kind of obsessed with the way you press your body up against his when youre kissing him, you fingers feeling the hardness of his muscles through his clothes

ITOSHI RIN:

- he was always kind of weary of physical touch from everyone and anyone: friends or family, he just wasnt fond of it at all

- so kissing was a completely foreign idea

- like kunigami, it took him time to warm up to kisses. he never really found the appeal to them until multiple weeks after you first kissed him

- after though… he always asks for kisses. and he makes you initiate it. motioning/pulling you over to capture his lips on yours

- but sometimes it literally did not matter what you were doing. he’d pull you away from the stove or take your attention off the tv for a good 30 seconds just to feel your lips on his

- it wasnt that he was bossy.. but when he wants a kiss, hes going to get one no matter what

ITOSHI SAE:

- much like rin, physical touch just wasnt something that he enjoyed or craved at all

- but after the first time he kissed you, he literally craved it 24/7

- of course he never told you, it was more like he wanted too but he was always so hesitant with his affection. he tending to wait for you to initiate it.

- other than that, he is generally casual with hand holding or light touches, but kissing was just.. he never made the first move.

- (i am very caught up on the idea of sae being late to show his affection can you tell)

- it was embarrassing and almost humilating, but he hoped that he could just look at you and silently lure you over to kiss him (and it worked everytime)

- i also think sae enjoys kissing you while youre asleep. before he leaves and youre still peacefully asleep in bed, he comes over to your side and gently presses his lips to your forehead. his way to show affection without feeling embarrassed and without your teasing

- (holy shit super off topic but i absolutely love the idea of sae having a possessive streak, like a hand always on your hip or his fingers wrapped around your wrist (dare i say hickies strategically placed and unable to be hidden from others to show that youre his))

SHIDOU RYUSEI:

- shidou ryusei who is SO unashamed of any kind of affection towards you, he literally does not give two shits if your friends or his friends are watching

- he’ll pull you out of the conversation and into his arms, forcing you to completely block out everything else but him. his fingers holding your chin in place with his lips moving against yours and his tongue poking out to lick at your mouth

- honestly you were surprised and almost offended the first time he did it, but now when his hands are suddenly tugging at you, you indulge yourself into his touch and kiss him breathless before nonchalantly returning to the convo as if he didnt just suck your face off

- shidou whos also very casual with his affection, kinda like bachira he isnt ashamed because he also like to tease you and see your reactions no matter where you and him are

BAROU SHOEI:

- i honestly want going to do barou but here anyway !

- barou who kisses you with utmost passion and love, he doesnt like being teased or teasing because kissing is a very serious, intimate, romantic activity with you. he wants to show his affection and nothing is going to stop him

- like chigiri, he enjoys kisses in private much more than in public, qnd like isagi, he likes casual kisses

- goodmorning kisses, goodnight kisses, very very domestic relaxed kisses throughout his day helps him keep his composure

- barou loves it when you reach back behind his neck and fiddle with the ends of his hair when its loose and falling over his shoulders. or when you run your fingers through the shaved sides and around the shell of his ears

- barou blushes with his ears because i said so. when you pull your lips away from his, his face is literally so neutral and calm, but when he turns away and his hair flips over his shoulder for half a second, it reveals his bright red ears

a trick the writers use to make Charlie look better is have all the other characters act stupider than her, so she looks smart and right by comparison. The whole court room session was the 2nd dumbest scene after the “no one not even angles know how they can be killed” plotline. No one knows how people get into heaven and it’s really fucking stupid, they didn’t kill, eat or SA anyone like every fucking sinner have. Why isnt Angel in heaven? Because he must’ve killed people when he was alive, isn’t he suppose to be a mobster back in the 1940s? They’re not the type of people you want to miss around with. That’s not a mistake taking a life shouldn’t be a mistake, it’s a crime. You can’t say everyone deserve a second chance and people make mistake. It doesn’t fucking work. “If hell is forever than heaven must be a lie, if angles can whatever and remain in the sky” is bullshit because Lucifer is proof angels can’t do whatever and angels can be killed. Vaggie’s exile is the mistake, she was exiled because she showed mercy and was punished by lute and left to die in hell. Vaggie should’ve been the ace in the hole (sorry hot topic and viv ace in the hole has never phase ace people use and never will be it’s when someone has a hidden ability or triumph card) for Charlie’s case but vaggie is also given the idiot card worse than any other character.

Adam is written to be stupid and someone you want to see get taken down. It worked but than rewatching it again, he’s not wrong. Charlie cannot guarantee that when sinners enter heaven they won’t just snap and kill heaven occupants. The extermination are wrong but it’s hard to believe they’re wrong about demons being genocide every years when they kill/sa each other all the time. If angels weren’t killing them they’d be doing it to each other. That’s a lot of trust to put on strangers that were essentially ex-convicts/sex offenders. It’s a promise she can’t guarantee or keep.

free will is a theme the show throws around without knowing what it means, Lucifer gave people free will and as consequence evil was unleashed into the world and he was punished for it. Was that a mistake? Was disobeying the natural order a mistake? (I hate how there’s no god, don’t try to make a show about redemption and not include God, it’s like making cereal without cereal, so your just drinking straight milk and your tummy starts to ache and you get diarrhea) or was Lucifer dipping on sinners because he got sad that they didn’t live up to his expectations, a mistake? He gave people the freedom to choose and think for themselves, but was sad they choose evil. Is humanity being allowed to choose to be good or evil not free will? Pilot alastor made a good argument “the life they lived was the chance they were given and the punishment is this” lucifer unleashed evil and he had the free will to reform or protect sinner he choose not to. No one is right or wrong and that’s not bad writing. What is bad writing is making one side the obvious good and smart guys and the other side painfully bad and stupid guys.

Vivziepop and writers don’t have the other characters actually question Charlie and when in a rare case they do question her (for example: Lucifer), Charlie guilts them. “It’s all about second chances guys!!” Or they don’t even have Charlie address anything at all and move on to the next scene, framing her like she was right the whole time.

The writers also would say one thing like the hotel is not working then conveniently switch it up to make Charlie look better. For example: Angel Dust, the start of his arc is in episode 4, Masquerade. Now, conveniently in episode 5, Dad Beat Dad he is suddenly open to everyone and episode 6, Welcome to Heaven: he no longer does drugs despite literally in episode 5, Vaggie mentions she almost found all of Angel’s drug stash. Such rushed and nonexistent development.

The whole Heaven not knowing what gets people in their world is embarrassing, Vivziepop and the writers think they are being nuanced and grey but it’s the opposite. Why should the audience even care about Charlie and the sinners’ redemption storyline if Heaven has no idea what they are doing. Adam’s “rules” of: sticking to man, act selfless, and don’t steal: anyone in Hell can easily fake that if that all that takes. Also beatitudes and Ten Commandments are right there, but that would mean changing Adam’s character a bit as Heaven allows him to swear and be foul.

The only reason why Angel is still in Hell is because of lore™️ reasons and he is still under Valentino’s contract. Least be real, it would be extremely underwhelming if he died so early. Charlie’s ideals are very black and white; same with Adam (as much as I like him and agree with him). Adam repeats the notion that there is no defying their fates and in their human life, they had a chance to be better. Which leads me to my next question: what gets you into Hell? Can it be as simple as swearing or being mean to someone?

As for Adam’s point for sinners having their chance to be better in the human world, anything can happen. Not everyone has a simple life, some live in abusive households, were forced or coerced against their will to do something. Would those people in these scenarios make it to Heaven because Heaven doesn’t know what they are doing. Situations like this are very complex which why it is important that Charlie actually learns about the sinner’s human lives and if redemption is possible for them.

Emily/Charlie’s Heaven is a lie song is mainly a gotcha towards Lute/Sera and mainly Adam. But yeah you are right regarding Lucifer, I didn’t even think of that. Lucifer is at least the first angel mess up and received consequences but then the more you think about it you realize “oh Wait second… Lilith is in Heaven again” despite being apart this whole apple scenario with Lucifer. (I know Lilith isn’t an angel but food for thought).

Vaggie being exiled for not killing a kid (whether sinner or hellborn) is dumb. Keep mind, she wasn’t new at this, why does she suddenly have a change in heart. The more I think about that scene, I have more questions than answers. Vaggie being ace is interesting, maybe she can both lesbian and ace. Anon, you always correct me if that’s possible. Cute head cannon. Alastor’s reason for being ace is just stereotypical.

Adam HAS so much potential and nuance it’s not even funny. Speaking about him, for example episode 8, the show must go on. Charlie is all about second chances except with Adam. Charlie tells her dad to stop beating up Adam and you would think Charlie, herself would gently go him and give him a second chance, they can start over, etc. Then Adam would brush her off, tell her to piss off, blah, blah. She does none of that! Did Charlie just pity Adam that badly? Why stop her dad from beating him up, if you aren’t going to give a second chance? He was going to die regardless.

After Charlie stops her dad, the cast literally watches Adam have a mental breakdown and judging him then Niffty stabs. It was like bruh “are you serious?” As much as I like Lucifer, he is such a mixed bag especially it comes with the topic of free will. He sounds regretful and doesn’t want Charlie heading the same path as him but at the same time sounds salty about Heaven in general and that they didn’t bend over backwards for his “dream.” The show tries and guilt trip the audience to be sad for Lucifer when it’s deserved. Vivziepop and the writers purposely made that aspect about Lucifer vague, so I guess we will find out the truth probably around season 3-4. He of all people shouldn’t be surprised if sinners misuse their free will, acting like he had nothing to do with that.

Edit, 10/28/24: Anon, I think it’s best there is no god. Narratively, it makes sense God in the Bible plays an important role and is responsible for multiple things. I don’t trust Vivziepop and I’ve seen the popular Hazbin’s God design it’s a twink with multiple eyes with a bow tie 😂

I know people have had fanfic ideas about Lucifer hunting Valentino down for sexually harassing Charlie, but honestly, I don't think Charlie is going to even mention that moment to anyone. Charlie is already ashamed about how things went down at the studio due to how her actions affected Angel, she's probably to consumed with guilt to even care about Val's drool on her arm due to how minuscule she'd see it as compared to what Angel went through. Plus, her promise to not interfere with Angel's life outside the Hotel would also contribute to her not getting her dad involved despite hating Valentino's guts enough to nearly fight him herself.

I actually never read read those fics. There are too many fics that it is overwhelming and not enough time to read them. So, having someone defend Charlies honor and beat Valentinos ass for sexually assaulting her isnt in my main interest in fic reading in the fandom.

I understand the sentiment and appreciate it. Its even sort of sweet. I also can see how it be satisfy for readers and writers to have a story one.

Nonetheless, I agree with you. I don't think she even mention it to anyone beside possibly Vaggie who she shares everything with. If she did mention it to Vaggie, I think Charlie pretty much forgotten about it until she was retelling it to Vaggie and just shrugged it of after verbally rant her disgust of the action. Because seriously who greets people like that?

The other part is, she reacts much more of Val suggesting she star in a film, more than the act of Val tongue running up her arm.

I'm sort of like Charlie here. I dismiss a lot of things I shouldn’t have just not to make a fuss. At the time I would make excuses for it and and it seems like a minor thing, and it sort of is yet isn't.. I'll even dismiss it so easily that I forget about it until much later in retrospect, wish I was vocal how uncomfortable, uneasy it made me feel of just plain wrong. I think Charlie is similar. She the "Good girl."

By good girl, I am talking about the way of thinking how woman have to endure their suffering in silence at the expense of other people's comfort. The do what your told and don't talk back, don't make a scene, fuss or trouble, and always put other needs before your own.

We see Charlie act some of these out. She just a good person in general so most of it is just natural to her but she also believe that the sinners are caple of the same thing...and they are...yet they are sinners who are not motivated to be so. She more than likely let things slide in the offenders favor just in her hopes they can be better with their second, third, upteeth chance. So Charlie will continue to dismiss situation involving her light to diffuse the situation in hopes the offender see the error of their way. But in reality she just letting them continue the cycle as they are not suffering any repercussions of their actions.

She shown to dismiss her own issues (she avoids her issues by fixing everyone else said by Husk and by Alastor commercial) or attempt to minimize the issue. “Pfft, it’s no big deal.” When she clearly showing she bothered by it. Like how she was talking to Vaggie about her mother's absence.

Going by this and her personality and always trying to be a “good girl.” And constantly trying to diffuse the situation. From what I remember, Charlie only gets upset when she witness disrespect of her people. (Adam talking down about her people or Val treatment of Angel. I think when it comes to events like Val happen to Charlie, She rarely gets worked up about it, it’s generally people get angry for her. Similar to how she gets upset for her people. 

I also doubt she going to run to father and immediately and bring up Val’s actions. Charlie and her father are just starting to mend and re established their relationship. The incident may be brought up about past the point that is recent, but I don’t think it be brought up with Lucifer nearby unless Charlie was use into it as and example to lead a group therapy session.  I definitely think Lucifer would go overprotective daddy mode once he aware of it and want to kill Val but I think if Lucifer did act, he would threaten/warn and flex his power and status as King. I think if Lucifer were to act out beyond threatening and actually double dead Val, there be too many repercussions. The other Vees wouldn’t take it lying down and would drag Lucifer name through the mud, along with Charlie’s name and the hotel. Not only that, Charlie may be touched but greatly disapprove as she trying to lead by example of forgiveness and rehabilitation.

I also agree with your assessment that Charlie would be hesitate to bring up her issues with Val. She doesn't want to stir up more trouble by sticking her well meaning nose even further into Angel business. Yes, its her issue and not Angles, but it would directly affect Angel as it involved an asshole of a person who owns Angles soul who would not hesitate to retaliate or vent out his frustrations towards and on Angel.

TLDR: I understand the Catharsis of writers and readers wanting protective daddy Lucifer killing the PoS Val for sexual assulting Charlie but I don't think it be canon compliant from what we see and know.

It’s been noticeable, the shift in your mood. The way you haven’t gotten up early to make sure the first years are awake and heading to breakfast, once of your favorite morning rituals. The way your smile doesn’t reach your eyes, or the way you brush off compliments like they’re meant to be deflected.

It’s impossible to know when it started, but the catalyst was that night in the common room, surrounded by your fellow Slytherin’s as the highlands rain beat on the windows.

“You’re a mudblood, aren’t you?” Pansy Parkinson had looked so proud of herself. The quiet laughter and chatter of your peers dying out.

Rather than answer, you stood and left. Only the cloak of night sheltered you, but it was two boys with red hair and blinding smiles who found you perched on the high docks of the lake. Teetering on the edge as you contemplate letting the wind push you into the black glass below.

I think folks were just as excited as I was since the game came out like 2-3 weeks before I started drawing this comic with multiple a day updates as in class doodles or in between class? not sure 2) without spoilers, I love using color to symbolize stuff. And everyone's choices mattered. 3) I was originally planning on making it a short slice of life comic, someone issued me a challenge to add more feels- so I made it similar to how I formatted my Fnaf Comic where it was based on a Choose-Your-own-adventure style where the playable character the audience controls choose which paths we'd go on. So I made a GIANT worldbuilding binder and a crazy amount of notes on all the different routes everyone could take. 4) Because they're in a gray glow (in the character's perspective) I also go through to make sure they look different than the main characters, so its even more clearly obvious about that. Granted, in my lil Au Gaster is Sans and Papyrus's older brother If you get a chance you can either rewatch the dub that I believe is still on Youtube or re-read the comic to catch up! I'm hoping the ending will be at least fun enough of a ride for everyone tho

Dadan isnt scared of a lot honestly. It’s most Marines…it’s mostly Vice Admirals..It’s mostly Garp. Someone she’s definitely not scared of though? Dragon. Despite what all the other kids seem to believe, he’s easily the least scary kid she’s ever met and that meant all things Dragon are, by definition, not scary either.

His monstrous levels of strength? Yeah makes sense, have you met his dad? The fact that he has snow white wings on his back? Odd sure but she shrugged it off when she first saw them (later she asked Mrs. Urpi and got told a brief history of the Shandians which she thought was so cool! She never says it out loud because that’s basically like calling Dragon cool…)

Walking into the Monkey Family residence one day and seeing a living breathing lump of feathers with red and white eyes definitely gave her pause but her legs didn’t shake and her teeth refused to chatter. It actually scared her a little how not scared she was. Whatever it was blinked up at her in surprise, why did it feel so oddly familiar? If she just squinted a little and turned her head just slightly to the left it sorta looked like…

Immediately she jumped into action, swiftly closing and locking the door behind her before scrambling to shut all the curtains to every window. She practically jumped on the couch and started stage whispering and shaking her little brother by the shoulders asking him if he was just that much of an airhead! Didn’t he know how people treated those who’ve eaten Zoan Devil Fruits? She quickly started to devise a plan, what if some snot nosed brats has been spying at the windows before she arrived? She head to town and beat them all down and make them swear to keep their mouths firmly shut by themselves or she'd shut them permanently. If worst came to worst and the secret got out, she’d say it was her they caught, no one liked her much anyways so it wouldn’t be a huge loss. And of course if they tried to run her out of town she could just resort back to Plan A.

She hopped off the couch ready to enact her plan when she felt the lightest tug on her sleeve and the shakiest tone of voice she had ever heard.

“Yo-You're not scared of me?”

Dadan slowly turned around eyebrows furrowed, nose scrunched, mouth in a frown. Her? Scared of her younger brother? The mere suggestion offended her but Dragon's watery eyes and fear stricken expression snapped her back to the reality of the situation.

She quickly tugged him close and rested her chin on his shoulder. It felt weird, fur and feathers and claws surrounded her senses but that only made her hug him tighter.

“Listen closely cause I’m only gonna say this once: I am not, have not and will not ever be scared of you. No matter what you look like or whatever you’re gonna look like later on, I’m still gonna be here. I’m your big sister and I’m not gonna let you think you’re some kind of monster. She could feel tears hit her shoulder and a quiet repetition of “thank you”and “okay” in her ear.

leif wouldn't have an uniform because elizant the first was as cheap as her heir. it would look hot on him but even if bugs offended god at a maximum elizant would give those shitty tshirts with printed words and not even a logo. and that intersection of capitalism and feudalism isnt hot.
