Concept/Headcanon;

Kaneki reads the books while Hide watches the movie/show adaptation. Boyy oh boy, God be damned, if that adaptation isn't good enough? Kaneki will pause it and just read the book version in full to Hide, not making Hide read it because (also a HC) he is dyslexic. Kaneki does voices and everything, shows him the pictures if it has them, etc.

13 is really touch adverse, like she doesn’t like when ppl touch her unless it’s totally necessary and the exception to this rule is yaz. She melts into yaz’s touch and is constantly seeking it out but doesn’t wanna ask bc she’s terrible with words and doesn’t wanna come off as weird or anything

yaz knows this and once they’re comfortably with each other she’ll just like take the drs hand or like lightly touch her back or arm or smth, especially when it’s super tense or a dangerous situation when 13 is super stressed

Thinking about aer letting aerself feel that once again, months later, to protect aer friends. How ae felt the half-familiar, half-alien magic flowing through aer, burning hot against the tidalwave of snow boring down on them.

Thinking about Dakota and William celebrating that magic like aer father never did.

Saw people talking about not liking first person, which is fair, but their reasoning was like "I would not do that" and I don't understand that mindset.

First person stories are still about a character. A character making their own decisions. First person isn't about you???? At least I thought it wasn't. What am I missing? I've always seen first person as just a more in-depth look into a character's mind and stricter POV. Not as a reader stand-in.

I’ve been patiently waiting for a nice second-hand wood dresser to appear on fb marketplace or at Goodwill for months. Finally, I grabbed this one yesterday for $50.

My inspiration for this project are some dressers I saw at Anthropology that have gorgeous carved details. But I want my dresser to cost $200 or less rather than $2,000.

Of course I can’t add actual hand-carved wood, but I’ve got clay and some silicon molds + epoxy and a potential overconfidence in my DIY abilities.

First up, I removed the existing hardware and sanded this pretty lady down. She is now looking MUCH better without all those terrible stains (and the drawer pulls weren’t doing it for her, tbh).

Up next, I’ll give her a paint wash or three and start trying my hand at faking some carvings!
