i used to be so good at writing strong, thoroughly-researched, thoroughly-edited essays.
as a kid in hs, my teacher literally came up to me, holding my 40 page essay on the intersection of the European witch hunts and capitalism/exploitation/gender roles (it was supposed to be 7 pages...whoops) and went like "this is literally a master's-degree level thesis. what are you doing?? you could literally use this as your final dissertation in a master's program, what the fuck."
NOW??? NOW?? you'd think I'd be oh so skilled. but alas. i can barely piece together two ideas. adhd skill-regression is so so real. im SOBBING

You see I think they really fucked up by not giving that McDonald’s employee the money. If they had just given him the reward, it would’ve been encouragement for us to turn on each other, kick others down so we might get a leg up, to struggle another day in their system. Divide and conquer. But by not giving this person the sixty grand, (pennies to them), they have proven once and for all that betraying your class will not help you. They have proven that we have to unite to get anything done. Their greed brought them to the top, their greed let this desperation and anger fester, and their greed will be their downfall. Occasionally I picture Nightwing calling Red Hood "little wing" in front of others and people looking between this huge, 6'0 feet tall man with growing white hair, and then Nightwing, a shorter man who has flawless skin, probably around his 20's, and a fit but not too buff build and they just- don't know what's happening. Is it some kind of inside joke they aren't aware of? Why is Nightwing acting as if he's years older than Red-fucking jacked-Hood?

Yes yes I agree that if Percy should've remembered anyone it should've been Sally, but please, please, please understand that a) Hera was actively fucking with his memories, it's not that Annabeth was who he remembered, it was that Annabeth was who Hera wanted him to remember and b) the reason was because Annabeth has ties to California!! And Hera needed Percy to go there. If Percy remembered anyone else, he would've been headed straight for NYC and her whole "switch the boys" thing wouldn't have worked.
Yeah, part of the Wolf House training is making the journey from the Wolf House to Camp Jupiter but Percy isn't headed there because that's the plan, he's headed there because his memories tell him that Annabeth is connected to it. If his memories said "your mom is in New York", he would've said fuck the plan and walked in the opposite direction of where he was supposed to go.
