i like to think that the other bb students' perception of florian goes from thinking he's this cool mysterious & melancholic pretty boy trainer from paldea that blazed through the bb elite 4 and nearly beat kieran to wondering how the hell someone who seems to know shit about dick when it comes to battling ended up as an exchange student at a battling-focused school.

#self #fantasy costume #If I had the money for a custom tailored fantasy-ish victorian-ish suit instead of piecing together random thrift store items with like walm #rt halloween costume type jackets and stuff..#unstoppable.....#I would actually lean more straight up historical with my wardrobe it's just that everything I own basically is thrifted aside from a very #small portion of things (like usually socks for example I get from ebay. wigs from ebay. things that it's hard to find in thrift stores. etc #) and I rarely ever find stuff like that at the bins. Your closest bet is like. hopeing that the week you come in just so happens to also be #a week that a church costume department recently donated a bunch of old stuff. but I just haven't really had much luck finding like fancy ve #sts and suit coats and cloaks or like tunics and etc. etc.#Styles like mori kei or cult party kei are pretty accessible and easy for places like the bins (where youre usually digging through piles of #curtains and fabric scraps and doilies anyway). but finding like.. a straight up tudor england costume or something is . VERY rare #Sometimes you do find halloween costumes. Or like. stuff that's clearly like cheap 'Goth' stuff from shein or aliexpress that someone has do #nated and they can be a LITTLE okay in terms of usable for costumes. But you rarely find actual good quality stuff. obviously because like #real very good quality historical costumes are expensive and most people aren't just like 'yeah dump it off to goodwill' lol #In an ideal world though I would have fancy top hats and neck ruffles and stuff .. know this ghhjbhj #Lack of that will not stop me from taking picturesin basically the same outfit 6000 times though. Does anyone here know how to find a fanfic that has been deleted?

I've been looking for a Toy Story fanfic on FanFiction.net called “Toy Story Toons”, it featured three chapters that were three different stories, all written as if they were those Toy Story shorts that started to come out after the third movie. I don't remember what the first two chapters were about, but I liked the third one the most, because it was some kind of Valentine's Day special in which Woody wanted to make a surprise card for his new love, the author's OC called Clara, which was a princess doll (in fact, the author had their own version of Toy Story 3 that featured Clara).

The thing is, that one day I tried to look for it to read it again and it was gone! So I've been trying to find a way to get it back somehow, but I can't even remember the author's name, so I think I'll never see it again 😭

today i learned that we weebs are responsible for the existence of the .ass file type. #heritage

#花話 #i actually learned this yesterday i've just been cracking myself up over the 'hashtag-heritage' thing ever since #.ass is a subtitle file btw!!! they're what make the really pretty ones with the elaborate typesetting and positioning n stuff #i always thought they did that shit by burning the fonts into the video via aftereffects or smth but it turns out #that while you could burn an ass file to a video for hardsubbing you can apparently just. like it's a text file you can use a text editor #and also turn them off when watching your stuff if you wish and god i was so surprised when i realized you could do that #with the pretty subtitles bc when using online streaming the soft subs were usually so ugly #anyway through a series of wacky hijinks i've ended up coding a subtitle file type converter these last few hours #and in looking up the standards for how .srt .ass and .vtt files are formatted i learned this gem #and you know what!!!! it makes soooo much sense #of course we weebs went off and made a file type for elaborate subtitle styling and positioning and timing #the intersection of art and technology in the weeb fan sphere is actually pretty cool!! there's niche ass software for so much shit #bc of the tendency of weebs to be into tech and stuff #in my spelunkinh around the old web i've also found a bunch of old specialized scanlation software from the 2000s!!! that's so cool!!!!#i just use a notes program and photoshop but they were out there in 2004 or so making photo editors that #could not only open up and edit multiple images in sequence you could page through but also load up your translation txt file #and i think also had specialized tools for cleaning text bubbles and stuff #and also obviously correcting scan issues and straightening things out AND THIS IS SO COOL!!!!#like we did that!! that's how things were done before i got into anime!!! back when i was a little kid; before i was even rlly sentient!!!!!

i was searching ocean-themed lolita dresses and there is one called “fairy of the deep sea”!!!! the layers in the skirt are really pretty and elegant, and it looks a lot like mermaid scales/fins! it makes me think of a darling who wears it for a photoshoot near the sea and garners the trio’s attention because of the eye-catching nature of the dress. and they mistake you for a mate because in the outfit you look like a very beautiful mer (they think you are showing off vibrant, flashy scales when you turn for camera angles and your fins (the frills of the blouse sleeves) look so lovely). they are at once enthralled with you and will come to the surface every day at the same time in hopes of seeing you again, gradually falling very in love with you. so in love that it’s frightening, and you have no idea of their budding obsessions.

sorry for all the beatleposting all of a sudden. i was just listening to Rubber Soul again and remembered how much I like the album

#beep #it's one of my favorite beatles albums i think #some of my favorite songs are on there #my top 3 beatles albums are probably rubber soul‚ hard day's night‚ and help! (in that order... i think)#but they have so many good songs on other albums too so it's really hard to decide #shoutout to let it be and the white album for having some of my favorite songs and also some of my least favorites right next to each other #real mixed bags for me lol #i know everyone's like ''oh listen to the beatles because that's Real Music unlike YOUR music which is dumb and lame''#and that's annoying! but like... you should try listening to the beatles at least a little bit because they actually are pretty darn good #they are obviously not the end-all-be-all of music‚ even if you limit it to classic rock‚ and there's tons of other great music out there!#but i do think they're worth a few listens. and their music evolved a lot over their career so they have plenty of different styles #so check them out - you might be pleasantly surprised!

Going through the Utahim.e tag had me checking several times if at some point I had clicked on the G.ojo/Utahim.e one instead

#It's mainly the ship and mainly ship art. Very pretty btw. There's people with gorgeous styles there #There isn't even a lot of x reader fics haha I guess people don't want to bang Utahime?#Anyway... lowkey wished this happened with Ijichi lol #I so wanted Ijichi to mention or even hint at a mention of Gojo one last time like they did with Nanami #If nothing else for the weight of it all. The weight of feeling your youth dying piece by piece alongside the people who made it out #And everything it implies #Art of Shoko dealing with Gojo's death even in a cold way always strikes hard for that motive but I always love it #with pretty much everyone of those years. There was one piece I saw once that was not explicitly or necessarily romantic about Utahime #being hit by Gojo's death and I don't recall exactly how it was (I think I may have queued it?)#but it moved me more than any piece more clearly emotional that I had seen before #I don't know. I thought it held the potential of that. That weird uncomfortable heartbreaking feeling #of hearing bad news about old friends or classmates and how it makes you realise the weight of time #They suffered and accident. They tried to kill themselves. They are very sick. Their sibling or parent died. And you knew these people #You saw them daily for years. Maybe you weren't close but you knew these people. They cut my bangs when I was eight and I punched them #I tripped over them playing hide and seek and we both lost at the same time. We both hated each other's favourite teacher #They borrowed my pen once and then never gave it back. I once drenched them at the fountain after PE and it was winter but they laughed #Their mother got mad though. Now she's dead. We were made to sit together in French class in middle school. They loved to keep their hair l #Now they're sick and have lost their hair #Their little sibling was so annoying always trying to make us play with them during recess too. It was kinda cute. Now they're dead #I don't know. That kind of stuff #Utahime boosts Gojo and then he dies. Shoko opens him up to make a tool of his body #Ijichi accompanies another kid to clean after him in the meanwhile. And then the realisation hits. He is dead #He was annoying. He was my friend. He was so rude #He had such a sweet tooth. He laughed so loudly. He used to lean over people when talking with them #We were kids once. We are here now. He isn't here anymore. Some of us haven't been here anymore for a long while. It's been so long #He was still young. I am still young. We felt so old. At times it feels as if the time back then didn't happen at all.#And now he's dead and oh it's true he was so annoying but he also had such a sweet tooth. I forgot. What do I do with this memory now?#At times it felt as if the time back then didn't happen at all but then at times it shone through. He brought it back #He asked me a favour knowing I wouldn't betray his secret. He still teased the same way. He still leaned on people. Honestly a lot of the time, it's not even about people having to agree with me, it's about needing to know that they actually heard and listened to what I had to say even if it didn't persuade them

Just... some basic indication that there's enough respect to give a shit about what I said, and also to make sure that they disagree because they actually disagree and not cause they just didn't bother listening

It's all I really ask

#I forgot what this was about part way through writing about it; but then I remembered it's about Ukraine #like I just need to know that you actually understand what's happening there and what people are going through #you want me to care about your thing? show me you have any any any grasp of what's going on in Ukraine #it's uh... it's too many friends where if I'm just honest... this is about them #people I adore but people where... I don't know if they ever even once listen to what I have to say #...though maybe it's better this way... at least if they just ignore me I can say they just don't understand what's going on #that they're just being fed lines by other people or don't care #...if... they... knew the shit Ukrainians go through and still didn't care... would be a lot harder to respect them #would take a certain level of callous to do that and... these are people I care about very much so #...but I don't know; eats at me... you know #...and even on less serious topics... boy I wish you'd ever listen to me #if it weren't for the fact you say you like me...
