i do think a lot of implausible medieval plot devices make more sense when considering the fact that these people simply did not have glasses

idk if this makes sense, but i wish some ppl would be more discerning about when & when not to promote/advertise or recommend a book by listing its romance tropes.

like, if you're selling me a romance, as a romance, and you tell me it's "slowburn," that makes sense. it's a helpful tagline to let me know what kind of romance & story to expect!

but if you're selling me a fantasy and you say it's "enemies to lovers," is it over dramatic that I think that feels like a spoiler? like I didn't even know there's romance in this story and you've just told me the MC gets with their antagonist

an unfortunate thing about nuwho's (and frankly most of classic who's) approach to companions is you very rarely get the experience of seeing a new companion getting added to an existing dynamic. a lotta fun ways you can go with that.
