Here’s the randomest thing ever, but here’s a post of me ranting how well NATM characters would be at bowling:

Jedediah: 3/10 if there was a bowling ball his size, he’d do ok?? But I don’t think he’d have the time and patience to learn how to bowl. If he got frustrated, I can imagine he’d try to shoot the ball.

Octavius: 5/10 I think he’d be better than Jedediah, for sure. A lot more practice and grace, but I don’t think he’d stay interested for long. Maybe a round or so, but he wouldn’t be a pro.

Teddy: 8/10 I think he’d be pretty decent, maybe even pick up bowling as a hobby. Not much to say here.

Attila: -1/10, would probably throw the ball with both of his hands, breaking the bowling lane. It’s ok, Attila. Not everyone was made for sports 💔

Ahkmenrah: 0/10 He’d be more interested in the served chicken tenders and fries made in the back instead of playing. Which— I totally respect

Larry: 10/10 He was a total bowler growing up. If he really tried, he could’ve gotten a scholarship with how good he was. Though, I think he preferred to keep it as a hobby. But he’s really good— I think he’d even know the technique where you use both of your hands. But— I may be biased since I’m totally not Larry Daley

Sacajawea 7/10 Similar to teddy, I think she’d be ok. Though, it might take her a moment to understand the rules of the game and such.

More help needed

Last week, I made this post requesting emergency help for my dog’s eyeball swelling and bloodshot out of his head; you guys came through and most of it was covered so that my rent wasn’t late and my dog could get the medications and vet visits covered.

We went to his normal vet today (who is an eye expert so he was in good hands). However, today’s visit was over $200 just to check out the eye and check the pressure, see if there were any ulcers, and whether the pupil is reacting. He still needs an ocular ultrasound, and bloodwork to see if he DOES in fact have glaucoma, or if there’s any growths inside the eye to cause swelling.

I just got the estimate for the tentative appointment I made for next Friday, and it’s... so much. But we have a goal! I am asking for anyone who can afford to help even a little bit to please send something to help me offset these costs; I work part time due to disability and only making $0.50 over min wage here. Today’s paycheque is gone. I have nothing.

Ya'll want to know the funniest shit?

I'm researching the era when Alastor was alive right now to get a better idea of both his character, the life he lived before Hell, and to hash out a backstory for him.

And so, apparently, Alastor lived through the Prohibition (which was basically the United States government illegalizing the manufacture, transportation, and sale of alcohol because they thought it was the cause of a lot of domestic violence and child abandonment).

Alastor canonically died in 1933.

Do you know how long the Prohibition lasted?

From 1920-1933.

ALASTOR LITERALLY DIED THE SAME YEAR ALCOHOL BECAME LEGAL AGAIN. CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW BITTER HE MUST'VE BEEN?

The Prohibition officially ended on December 5, 1933, and now my headcanon is that Alastor died December 6, 1933. Literally the day after he could legally drink all the booze he wanted.

I am learning a LOT about New Orleans and the era Alastor lived through (including the gay community in the city at the time) which has been a lot of fun, and I just wanted to share that tidbit because it is so fucking funny to me.
