tommy's character, bucktommy's inherent flaws, tommy & eddie as mirrors and buddie endgame; a (lengthy) meta analysis
honestly, what's really confirmed my feelings about tommy (and the imminent bucktommy bones -> buddie pipeline) is that there have now been multiple opportunities for the writers to actually make tommy a likeable/serious love interest for buck and they just…haven’t. because while fans are naturally going to overanalyse every little thing, the vast majority of the show's audience are regular viewers who consume the show at face value and don't think twice about it -- so if tommy was intended to be buck's endgame or anything remotely close to it, they'd absolutely want to make the most of his (very limited) screen time to present him in the best light they could. think about karen, the only non-main LI, and how she was introduced to us -- despite hen's cheating, we can see how dedicated karen and hen are to each other and how karen is a complex character in her own right who is immediately easy to root for and love.
comparatively, when we look at tommy's s7 appearances and specifically his interactions with buck, it becomes abundantly clear that there isn't really much depth to their relationship at all. which is fine! it's just... you know. fine. let's get into it.
following the cruise arc, we watch tommy through buck's eyes in 7x04 where he's basically wining and dining eddie -- flying him to vegas, getting them front row tickets to a fight, sparring with him in muay thai, playing pick up basketball with him -- tommy and eddie are so similar (which we'll come back to later), and we even get that line from eddie about how well they "click." as the audience, we are being subconsciously told to align tommy and eddie together -- and furthermore, we are told that tommy can easily make grand gestures when he wants to. now let's compare that to the bucktommy moments of the season.
bucktommy's first date: tommy makes a shady comment that would have outed buck if eddie or marisol caught onto it and then proceeds to abandon him on the sidewalk because he thinks buck isn't "ready" for a relationship with a man
i'll be objective here -- i understand in a show like 911 there's always going to be "unnecessary" relationship conflict for the sake of drama and i can also see how buck trying to play off their date as platonic to eddie might have put a bad taste in tommy's mouth. but we hear from tommy himself that he struggled with being open about his sexuality when he was at the 118 so he could have absolutely extended some sympathy towards buck for not wanting to come out on the spot to his best friend -- especially when tommy fully knows how important of a role eddie plays in buck's life. at the very least, he didn't have to leave buck alone on the curb. this isn't me trying to woobify buck because yeah, he's a grown man, he's fine -- but that doesn't mean it still isn't a bit of an asshole move.
the bachelor party: tommy doesn't dress up for the theme and dismisses buck when he's clearly disappointed about him doing so
tommy showing zero interest for the bachelor party buck planned is practically the writers waving a massive red flag in front of the camera -- him having to leave because he's on call is an understandable 'conflict' plot point but why not have him show up in an 80s themed outfit? it wouldn't have changed anything except that he and buck would have had a positive interaction; buck would have been happy that tommy cared enough to make that small gesture and it could have been a cute way to establish their relationship as one built on mutual effort. (btw, the bucktommy hospital kiss could be seen as a big gesture, sure -- but from a more practical viewpoint knowing how rushed this season had to be, it was also just an easy way for buck to "come out" to the rest of the 118 without having to spend too much episode airtime on it.)
the medal ceremony: tommy says 'enjoy it while it lasts' (which, LOL) and also is not shown reacting to buck receiving his medal. he also has a conversation with henren in a deleted scene.
again, i'm going to try to give tommy the benefit of the doubt -- i'm not saying he has to be sunshine and rainbows all the time and i have no issue with a character having a snarky/sarcastic side. but when his screentime is so minimal, every line of dialogue matters. and it's pretty damning that the writers aren't taking those few chances to give us something to appreciate about him. with buck, tommy makes a dismissive comment for literally zero reason, and with hen and karen, who are rightfully looking out for their friend, tommy refuses to take them seriously at all.
bucktommy's dinner in the finale: buck displays some vulnerability about losing bobby, and tommy... really doesn't seem to care.
honestly i refuse to rewatch this part of the ep because it really icks me out on another level but iirc: buck says he's glad bobby's okay because bobby is like the father he never had -> tommy says "your father's alive" -> something something joke about daddy issues. ignoring #that joke entirely, it's really insane to me that they have tommy even acknowledge the nuclear bomb that is buck's relationship with his parents. yes, we had a bit of a ham-fisted 'redemption arc' in s6 but that doesn't negate the buckley parents being absolutely heinous and the fact that buck verbalises how bobby played the role of the father figure because philip didn't -- all for tommy to basically deny that to his face -- is absurd. tommy has expressed on multiple occasions that he's jealous of the 118 family bond, so this line is just... very interesting to me.
now, let's recap all these events and bring eddie back into the mix!
post-bucktommy's first date, buck is more torn up about the fact that he lied to eddie than the actual date to the point that he has to vent to maddie about it. he then comes out to eddie, who is incredibly supportive (and oliver and ryan make some very curious acting choices indeed). eddie is reiterated as one of buck's most significant relationships.
pre-bachelor party, eddie is the one to suggest he and buck dress in matching (queer-coded) costumes. he then stays by buck's side at the party when everyone else leaves and although we'll never get to see it (tim minear i'm inside your walls👹), they sing an absurdly romantic karaoke song together. eddie is reiterated as one of buck's most significant relationships.
during the medal ceremony, when the camera pans to each member of the 118's love interest/family, it is eddie we are shown smiling at buck, not tommy. this is especially interesting considering we get buck reacting to tommy. i honestly can't get over how a reciprocated tommy reaction would have been an easy yet significant moment to cement bucktommy as a relationship, but they gave us eddie's instead (with chris in the background and marisol conveniently obscured, mind you). eddie is reiterated as one of buck's most significant relationships.
in the final episode, when eddie is experiencing his personal worst nightmare, buck is the one at eddie's side every step of the way. buck talks to christopher, buck reassures eddie (without judgement), and it's made clear that buck will be there for eddie, whatever he needs.
at every possible opportunity, we the audience are being implicitly told that eddie is buck's person. he is his place of support (buck having his more vulnerable coming out scene with eddie rather than his sister); he has buck's back (the bachelor party); he is his family (medal ceremony reaction), and ultimately, this goes both ways (finale).
some other things worth noting: when buck has his coming out scene with maddie, she tells him he's confused about his feelings in a way that seems to indicate she's talking about his feelings towards eddie ("if you there's something you need to tell eddie, you will"). in bobby's conversation with buck in the firehouse, he's verbally supportive of tommy and even asks if buck is going to see him, but buck goes to eddie's house instead. these were deliberate choices made by the writers; eddie has been consistently intertwined in bucktommy's relationship both overtly and subtextually throughout the entirety of s7. and let's not even get into the whole 'evan' thing, because that could be a whole other post in itself.
from the first moment we start to learn about tommy's character (beyond his... coloured past), we find out that he and eddie are practically mirrors. why not make tommy and buck share similar interests? why not give them something to bond over? why present tommy and eddie as almost identical in every way? because tommy is a placeholder for eddie. buck's initial bisexuality journey can't happen with eddie when eddie still hasn't come to terms with his own feelings. so, in the meantime, tommy is the "safe" choice in buck's mind because buck has nothing to lose with tommy whereas he's got everything to lose with eddie. buck can't confront what he truly wants yet because the risk factor is far greater and it's been repeatedly asserted that buck has an issue with people in his life leaving -- he would never do anything to jeopardise his relationship with eddie.
but ultimately (and in my opinion, fairly soon), we are going to get that moment where it "clicks" for buck and he realises that it is eddie he has feelings for. and when that happens, there's basically only one way it can go. we know buck can't keep secrets from eddie; we know eddie is going into s8 feeling "isolated"; we know tim loves making his characters suffer before they can be happy. in my mind, the narrative is going to go something like this: buck feelings realisation -> pining buck era -> eddie healing journey and a reevaluation of what buck means to him -> some insane life-threatening situation that really doubles down on how buck and eddie care more about each other than anyone else because it is 9-1-1 at the end of the day -> love confession induced by their dramatic near-death experience -> #BUDDIE_CANON !
when we factor in how there was a possibility of eddie having the sexuality arc this season instead, how tim has said buddie is one of his favourite dynamics of the show, and how supportive both oliver and ryan are of the ship, i really can't see how everything isn't building to buddie endgame. every other main pairing of the show has had seasons of development, of conflict, of bonding moments. buck and eddie have gone through that with each other time and time over (tsunami/lawsuit/shooting arc etc), which is why every other random love interest that's introduced for either of them falls flat in comparison. they quite literally are exactly what the other person needs; buck wants the stability of a home, a family, and unconditional love; eddie wants someone he can trust, a caretaker for his son but also a partner. buddie is the ship the audience wants to root for, because we know they work! now that we have canonically bisexual buck and eddie finally having to face his complicated feelings about losing shannon, buddie isn't just the logical conclusion -- it's the inevitable one.

You sighed as you rummaged through the pile of clothes that you needed to donate to Goodwill. Your daughter had grown up so much in the past few months that she almost needed a new wardrobe. It wasn’t an issue in and of itself, but you had a hard time parting ways with the clothes that no longer fit her. Your baby girl was growing up and even though it was amazing to see her blossom, it broke your heart. It seemed like yesterday, you were bringing her home from the hospital, starting your journey as a mom. And now, she was about to turn five. She was no longer your little baby : she was becoming more and more independent, she didn’t need you to do everything for her anymore. Soon, she would no longer need you to hold your hand or cut her food. If you’d known how fast time would go by, you would have cherished these moments even more than you had.
Your little Lily was a dream come true : you had spent so many nights wishing for a baby, praying that you would be a mom someday, waiting for the right man to come along. But after you had turned thirty-five, you had grown tired of waiting for Prince Charming and you had taken matters into your own hands. Thanks to science, you didn’t need to be in a relationship to have a baby, and you’d rather have one on your own and be a single mom than settle for anyone, just for the sake of starting a family. You had been told countless times that your standards were too high and that you were selfish for wanting to have a baby on your own, but it didn’t matter. You knew it was the right time to be a mom so you decided to become one. It wasn’t easy, but with the help of a fertility clinic and after two rounds of IVF and nine months of sickness, you had welcomed your beautiful baby girl. She was your biggest blessing and you were incredibly happy that you hadn’t decided to wait for Mister Right.
Ironically, you had ended up meeting him merely four months after you had Lily. You had moved from New York to Michigan after being hired by Paul Rosenberg. You were already involved in the music industry, working in A&R, but you were looking for a higher position and a better salary, and you had been told there was an opportunity at Shady Records. You had always thought you wanted to work for a bigger, more prestigious label, but as soon as you had been told about the job, you knew you had to apply : everything in the job description was right up your alley, the money was good and it offered you enough flexibility to be able to raise your daughter as a single mother. Applying turned out to be one of your best decisions, right after deciding to have your daughter : you loved your job and, through it, you met Marshall. At first, your relationship was strictly professional, but you quickly became friends. Technically speaking, he was your boss, but even though the job could be demanding, he was extremely understanding and supportive of your role as a single mom. Whenever Lily was sick or there was a problem at daycare, you were allowed to leave early, work from home or even have your baby with you. It probably helped that your daughter was adorable and that the whole team had fallen in love with her. She had also fallen in love with them, especially Marshall, who had a way with children. She had quickly become obsessed with him, which was not really surprising, since he was always making faces at her, tickling her and playing with her. She loved sitting on his lap and playing with him. Especially when he let her push the buttons on the mixing desk. She loved being at the studio, and every time you took her, she was having a blast. At first, you didn’t want to take her too often, as you were here to work and that little kids could be a nuisance, but Marshall assured you it was fine. At some point, you ended up taking Lily to work a bit more. He was working on a new album and you had to put in more hours, which you didn’t mind, the only issue being that daycare closed too early. However, Marshall had come through and set up a small space for Lily with a crib, some toys and a playpen, so that you could have her with you and still work. Small gestures like this were what led you to fall for him in the first place. He was the kindest man you had ever met. Still, at first, you were a bit reluctant to accept when he asked you on a date. He was your boss and your daughter was your absolute priority. Nonetheless, he managed to win you over after months of flirting. In the beginning, you didn’t think it was going to be too serious and you weren’t too sure about letting a man into your and your daughter’s life, but your relationship ended up moving pretty quickly. From the start, he let you know that he was serious about your relationship and that he wanted to include Lily in your plans. Being a father himself, he understood that she was your priority. So he became a staple in your life and Lily’s and they formed a bond of their own. He became one of her favorite people and she even graced him with her first steps, one late night in the studio. She wanted to go and hug him and you expected her to crawl as usual, but she walked from the couch to his chair. You were jealous, but also really happy that she loved him so much. The feeling was mutual. In fact, the day he proposed to you, he also proposed to her ! You had been dating for over a year at this point and were practically living together.
I don’t remember you telling me about Lily’s full name, he said one night at dinner. Does she have a middle name ?
No, you said. I wanted to keep it simple.
And she was born in New York, right ? He asked.
Yes, you confirmed with a smile. Why ?
Nothing, he said. My lawyer just wanted the information.
Your lawyer ? You asked confused.
Yeah, I was considering updating my will, he said casually. To include Lily, you know ?
You stared at him in shock.
Wait… Why would you do that ? You asked.
Just in case something happens to me, he explained. I want her to be taken care of. I would also like to set up a small trust for her. That way, she can pay for college, that kind of thing.
You don’t have to do that, you said. I’ll pay for her studies myself. She’s my daughter, my responsibility, not yours.
What if we changed that ? He asked with a smile. What if she was our daughter ?
You want to… adopt her ? You asked in shock. You don’t have to -
I know I don’t have to, he chuckled. But I want to. I love her as much as I love my daughters. I change her diapers, I read to her, I tuck her in… I do all of that Dad stuff already, and I love it. I want to care for her as much as I can.
You were moved, seeing how much he cared about her. They had a great bond and he was right, he was already a father figure to her. He was there everyday and took care of her as if she was his. Still, you were nervous. It was a big step and you didn’t want him to regret his decision.
What if we break up ? You asked nervously. Have you thought about it ?
I have, he smiled. And it wouldn’t change anything to how I feel about Lily.
Ok, you said emotionally. I guess we could do that.
He got up and took you in his arms before kissing both of your hands. Then, he took Lily from her high chair and gave her a kiss, making her giggle. She leaned and rested her head against his.
What do you say, princess ? Do you want me to be your Daddy? He asked softly.
She cooed and brought her little hand to his face. She wasn’t too talkative yet. She was very active, but when it came to talking, she didn’t seem too keen. It didn’t matter much, because she was very good at making sure everyone understood her. He kissed her again before putting her back so she could keep on eating her finger food. He kissed you tenderly and stroked your cheek.
Before we make it official, I do have something to tell you, though, he said.
Yes ? You asked nervously.
I didn’t actually take Lily to the park today, he confessed with a smile.
Where were you then? You asked confused. You were gone all afternoon.
Running errands, he said with a smile. I needed Lily’s help to pick up something.
You stared at him and waited for him to elaborate, but he didn’t say more. Instead, he reached in his pocket and took out a small box. Understanding where this was going, you covered your hand with your mouth, tears starting to well in your eyes as he got down on one knee.
You had been married for almost three years now and you couldn’t ask for more. You were about to turn forty and you felt incredibly lucky : you had an amazing husband, with whom you had a beautiful blended, tight-knit family. Even if Lily was not his biological child, she took a lot after Marshall. They had the same way of pursing their lips when they were frustrated and you could swear she was his when she gave a side-eye whenever she found something annoying. The looks were all yours, but the sassiness was all his. You loved that she took a bit after him. In hindsight, it wasn’t too surprising : he had been in her life for so long, she didn’t have any memory of life without him. She knew he wasn’t her biological dad, but it didn’t matter. She was definitely a Daddy’s girl. You had a special bond of your own with Lily, but she had him wrapped around her finger. It was the sweetest thing ever, although you sometimes worried that if he kept on indulging her in everything, she would turn into a brat. Although, whenever you touched on the subject, he shrugged it off. Still, you were afraid that if she asked for a pony, you would end up with one in the living room. Or worse, with Marshall actually purchasing stables and turning into a farmer. When it came to his princess, your husband seemed virtually unable to say no. He often used the excuse that his other kids were grown up and that Lily wouldn’t be his baby for too long.
You heard the front door as Marshall brought Lily home from preschool. You left your pile of clothing and went to greet the loves of your life. She was on his shoulders as you walked down the stairs.
Look Mommy, I’m tall, she giggled.
I see that, baby, you chuckled. Didn’t we say that you had to walk on your own and that Daddy had to stop carrying you on his shoulders all the time, though ?
It’s fine, he said. I only carried her for half of the way.
See ? Your daughter asked. Daddy says it’s ok.
You rolled your eyes and stared at your husband who was beaming. He gently let her down and she went to play in the living room.
You’re turning her into a lazy person, you chuckled.
Come on, let me enjoy this, he said with a smile. She’s starting elementary school next year and I’m not ready yet. I can’t believe my baby is turning five…
We still have to see what we’re getting her, you reminded him.
How about a puppy ?
You stared at him in disbelief. She had been talking about getting a puppy for ages but you weren’t so sure. A puppy was a lot of work and she was still too young to help around with it. Plus, Marshall would soon go on tour and you would be busy enough.
We’re not getting her a puppy, you said. No way.
She’s been talking about it for a while, he pointed out. And you see how crazy she is about the neighbor's corgi.
Well she can keep on playing with him, you chuckled. But my hands will already be full while you’re on tour, with Lily, the house, work… I don’t need a puppy on top of that.
We’ll see, he said.
He seemed pretty sure that you would change your mind, but there was no way. At dinner, you decided to quiz your daughter about what she would like for her birthday. Hopefully, she had her eye set on a Barbie.
Tell me, baby, what do you want for your birthday ? You asked.
A sister ! She said giddily.
You already have three sisters, you reminded her. You have Lainey, Hailie and Stevie.
I want a little sister ! She corrected.
You and Marshall stared at each other for a second. That was new. Lily was surrounded by adults and had never shown too much interest in other children.
A little sister ? Marshall asked. Where does that come from ?
My friend Emma is going to have a little sister, she said. I want one too. And I can play with her all the time.
You were about to turn forty and you had never really thought about having another baby after Lily. With Marshall having three daughters of his own, your family felt complete. Plus, you didn’t keep a fond memory of your pregnancy. The successive rounds of IVF had been testing, so had been the next nine months.
You know what would be great to play with ? You asked nervously.
What ? She asked with a huge smile.
A puppy, you said.
Marshall looked at you with a shit-eating grin. Your daughter shrieked in excitement.
Can we get one like Elton ? She asked, referring to the neighbor’s dog.
Of course, baby, Marshall said with a huge smile.
And then, the baby can play with it too !
You looked sheepishly at Marshall who shrugged. You figured that it was best not to say anything and focus on the puppy. After all, it was probably her age. All kids wanted younger siblings, right ? When Lily was finally in bed, you went to your bedroom with your husband.
So… You agreed to the dog, he grinned.
I deflected, you admitted. It was either that or a baby, so…
It’ll be great, he reassured you. Plus, when I’m on tour, she won’t miss me as much if she has a dog to come home to.
You’re right, you said. I must say I’m a bit anxious though. She’ll miss you a lot.
I will miss her too, he said. I will miss both of you, actually. The offer for you to come still stands, you know ?
I have work and she has school, you reminded him.
Preschool, he chuckled.
That’s important, you said.
Nothing we can’t teach her on our own, he said. I would love to have you with me. And Lily could see the world a little bit. That’s just as important as school.
How about work ? You mused.
Let me check with your boss… Oh wait, that's me, he chuckled. He says it’s fine. Plus, you can get work done from anywhere.
What about the dog ?
One of the girls can take care of it, he shrugged. I mean, Stevie has three big dogs, so I doubt a small one would be a problem.
We’ll see, you said.
You started getting ready for bed. The pile of Lily’s clothes you were sorting earlier was still on the bed.
What’s that ? Marshall asked as he rummaged through them.
Some of Lily’s old clothes, for Goodwill, you said. I’d keep them, but there’s no room in her closet.
You’re getting rid of all of that ? he asked sheepishly.
You knew him well enough to know he would get sentimental. Getting rid of your daughter’s baby clothes was emotional for you too, but on a practical level, it didn’t make much sense to hoard them.
Come on, Y/N, he said. You can’t get rid of this dress. Or those PJs. She was so cute in them.
She outgrew them long ago, you pointed out. It would be better if someone had a use for them, don’t you think ?
We could have a use for them, he said before kissing you seductively.
Oh really ? You asked as you raised an eyebrow.
He nodded with a grin and kissed you passionately. You kissed him back as he pushed you on the bed, attempting to undress you.
Wait, seriously ? You asked confused. You’d like another child ?
I mean… I’m not against the idea, he said with a smile.
At our age ? I mean, you just turned fifty and I’m turning forty soon. Isn’t that a little late ?
You know, I didn’t expect to have another child in my forties, he said referring to Lily, but it’s the best thing that ever happened to me. And when I see Lily, I’m thinking I wouldn’t mind having another one just like her. It helps that you seem to make beautiful babies, too. I’d enjoy having one last baby with you. Maybe have a boy ?
He was smiling, staring lovingly at you. You had never talked about having another child together. As he had told you in the past, after his divorce, he had been pretty adamant about being done with the whole marriage and baby-making thing. Obviously, he hadn’t planned on you and Lily walking into his life but still, knowing how views, you never tried to push anything on him. To be fair, you had never even considered the possibility of having a child together. He definitely took you by surprise, but you weren’t fully against the idea either. He was an amazing father to all four kids and you knew a fifth one wouldn’t be an exception.
What do you think, beautiful ? He asked as he stroked your cheek.
I don’t know, you admitted. That’s a little tempting, I must admit. But I never saw us trying for a baby. Like, do we want to be that couple, planning intercourse, counting cycles and everything ? Also, what if it doesn’t work ? I don’t want to do IVF again. That shit is trying. And pregnancy is no picnic either. For Lily, I struggled a lot, I was sick all the time.
First of all, if we decide to do this, I’ll be here every step of the way, he reassured you. You were on your own when you had her, but this time, it would be different. And if it doesn’t work… Well, it doesn’t. We already have four amazing kids, I’ll survive without a fifth one. I don’t want to put pressure on it. Let’s put it this way : if we had an unplanned pregnancy, I’d welcome it with open arms. It doesn’t have to be more complicated than that. If you don’t want to, that’s cool. But if you’re up for it, so am I.
Ok, you said softly. One last baby.
He beamed at you and kissed you. He seemed truly overjoyed by the possibility of welcoming another baby. One last one.
I’ve never tried for a baby, he chuckled. This is going to be fun.
Cut the BS, Mathers, you giggled. You’re the most experienced man I know, when it comes to babymaking.
No I’m serious, he explained. I’ve never had one on purpose. They all came my way. Hailie was definitely a surprise, obviously we didn’t plan on taking Alaina in, I definitely wasn’t expecting Kim to be pregnant with Steve when I got back with her, same with Lily… I’ve never actively tried for a baby.
Still, by the looks of it, I’d say it was fate, you said. You ended up with four daughters.
And maybe fate has another one in store for me, he chuckled. Regardless, I think I will have a lot of fun trying for baby number five.
I still have to get off birth control, you giggled.
Good thing you’re taking the pill and you can just skip it, he grinned as he playfully grabbed your ass.
So we’re really doing this ? You beamed.
We are, he said as he kissed you. And now you have no choice but to come on tour with me. For the sake of trying. You know I don’t half-ass it.
What if I get pregnant before then ? You asked playfully, although you knew it was unlikely.
All the more reason, he said. That way I can take care of you. That would be awesome, actually. How great would it be if you were pregnant by Lily’s birthday ? She’d be overjoyed.
You chuckled and stared at him. Lily’s birthday was just around the corner and there was no way you’d be pregnant by then, or at least not far along enough for you to announce it.
Are you trying to convince me to have a child just because she wants a sibling ? You joked with a falsely offended face.
I’m not, he chuckled. But what Lily wants, she gets, I guess ?
What’s next then ? You wondered as you rolled your eyes. A pony ?
I’m saving the idea for Christmas, actually, he said in a serious voice although you seriously hope he was joking.
Shut up and put a baby in me, you ordered him.
He pushed you on the bed again and wasted no time before undressing you. That night, the lovemaking was even better than usual. He was right : trying for that baby would be a lot of fun indeed, whether or not it ended up working.
Epilogue
The two of you tried for a few months, without bothering to plan intercourse or doing impossible math to try and figure out when you were ovulating and, eventually, you became pregnant for the second time. Marshall was over the moon when you told him and, as promised, he was here every step of the way. He was ecstatic when the two of you went for your first ultrasound appointment.
I get to see my son, he said with a smile.
It’s too early to know the gender, Marshall, you giggled.
I know it’s a boy, he said. Fate, remember ? It’s all part of the plan, I’m telling you.
Right. Because that’s usually how it works out for you and children, you joked.
You were pretty sure you were having a girl. You didn’t really care about the gender, but it was just a gut feeling that you had. As long as the baby was healthy, it didn’t matter anyway.
Here it is, the doctor said as she pointed at the screen. Your baby.
Oh my God, Marshall said as he held your hand, visibly overcome with emotion.
Is everything alright ? You asked.
From the looks of it, yes, she said with a smile as she moved the probe on your belly. Wait…
You felt your heart strain and Marshall held your hand a little tighter as both of you tensed up. You were silently praying, hoping that your baby was healthy. After a minute, the doctor turned to you.
Congratulations, she said. You’re expecting twins. And they’re perfectly healthy.
Marshall almost fell off his chair. If the pregnancy was no surprise, that turn of event was unexpected. As far as you knew, neither of you had twins in the family. You were a little shocked but really happy.
So even when it’s planned, it’s really not, your husband chuckled as he kissed your hand.
I think you're doomed for surprises, my love.

What do you think the chances are that BT is actually endgame
Thank you for the interesting question Nonny. 😊
I've had some time to think about this and honestly?
Zero chances.
If you had asked me this question right after episode 7x04 had aired, I would have hesitated to answer this. I would have maybe said that there was a 20% chance, because we didn’t really know in what way they would develop Tommy as a character. The main question was whether or not he would only stay as a part of Buck’s arc or if he would get his own storyline.
Having watched the rest of season 7 and knowing what we know now? I can confidently say: ‘Nah, not a chance.’
And there are many reasons why I’m so confident about it:
The way that 7x04 was in essence not about Tommy at all, but all about Eddie. It was confirmed that this episode was shot from Buck’s point of view, so that makes it even more obvious that he was very conflicted on Eddie’s new friendship with Tommy and how Eddie almost seemed to shut him out of that friendship. Even more, Tommy essentially took Eddie out on ‘dates’ and I can’t help but wonder if subconsciously Buck was afraid that Eddie would be interested in Tommy instead of him. He then, in true Buck-style, proceeded to do some foolish things and got his emotions all mixed up. Tommy saw a chance and took it by kissing Buck.
And I’m sure Buck liked that kiss and developed a crush on Tommy. Otherwise he wouldn’t have made an effort to reconnect with him after that failed date. So I’m not saying Tommy doesn’t matter to him or doesn’t have an important part in his story. All I’m saying is that Tommy was basically the wrong guy at the right time.
The interview Tim did about Tommy wasn’t all that promising either. In it he said something about not expecting wedding bells for them and that it was just an entry level relationship. In other words he was warning the audience to not get too attached, because Tommy wasn’t sticking around. At the same time it was revealed by Lou that he was only going to do a few episodes and that originally he was supposed to kiss Eddie. Which is interesting, because it tells us that they were discussing getting Eddie out of that closet. But ultimately they decided on Buck first. Which was the better way to go in my opinion.
Tommy was hardly in the rest of season 7. The main reason for that was that he was introduced as a plot device in Buck’s narrative arc and he fulfilled that function just fine. Basically he only showed up to further Buck’s storyline and that was it. Even that hospital kiss was in function of having Buck come out to his family without making a big deal about it.
He also wasn’t always portrayed as the nicest guy who we should all root for.
First Tim made the decision to choose the man who made Chimney and Hen’s lives worse when they started out at the 118. Which is an odd choice if you ask me. Why would you choose the guy who was obviously a bully to become another character’s love interest? The answer to that question is easy: Because you want to make sure that people remember that this -on the surface- seemingly nice and agreeable guy who helped Hen to save Bathena, has kind of a shady past.
And this showed again and again in the show itself. The way Tommy abandoned Buck during a date and left him standing on the sidewalk as he drove off? The way he was always dismissive of Buck’s interests and used this very sarcastic -almost negative- humour on moments when Buck really could have used some support. Don’t even talk to me about that scene in the finale where he once again deflected Buck’s worry by making THAT joke at such a bad time.
I know deleted scenes aren’t really canon, but -in my opinion- they released that Tommy & Henren scene to, once again show us that Tommy really isn’t invested in his relationship with Buck. The fact that Hen and Karen were suspicious and didn’t trust him, is also notable. We as the audience were meant to see and share their concern.
The way that Oliver doesn’t acknowledge the relationship either speaks for itself. He has once said that he stopped talking about Buddie because, at that time it wasn’t an option because of FOX, and he didn’t want to lead people on.
Right before season 7 Oliver started talking Buddie to everyone who wanted to listen. There was so much promo with Ryan as well. But he never mentioned BT as anything that has a future. He mostly talks about Buck’s bisexuality and leaves Tommy out of it. He doesn’t engage with anything BT related. So to me, there is the possibility that he doesn’t want to lead people on.
The few times he did talk about Tommy it was in the same way he talked about Taylor and Natalia. Generic things to keep people interested, but we all know what happened to Taylor and Natalia, so…
The way the show does absolutely no promo for BT whatsoever is also very obvious. If they had really wanted to push BT, they would have made Oliver and Lou do extensive promo through interviews, photo shoots, magazine articles… all of the things to get them noticed. Kinda like with the actors that play TK and Carlos on Lone Star. There was none of that for BT. Yeah, one single really awkward interview where they didn’t even talk more than a minute about the show. That doesn’t count.
Oliver did do quite a lot of interviews after 7x04, but all of those were centred around Buck’s bisexuality. Tommy was hardly even mentioned. You know who was mentioned in those interviews? Eddie. A lot of these interviewers asked about the chances of Buddie happening. I think Oliver navigated those questions really well, not giving anything away, but at the same time hinting that there was a chance there if the story was told right.
Personally, I am convinced that Oliver and Ryan got the get-go on Buddie last season. But they were also told that the road towards Buddie wouldn’t be linear. They threw a new male love interest into the mix to help Buck realise some things about himself. And I do believe that season 8 will be about Eddie’s personal journey to figuring out who he is and figuring out his sexuality. I don’t think they will give Eddie a new love interest though. I think they might just make him realise he feels more for Buck than friendship and that will be the beginning of him questioning all of his life choices.
As for Tommy? I can see him in another episode or 2 in season 8, to close the arc for Buck’s narrative. But I don’t expect anything more than that.
However which way you turn it, the story will always end up with Buddie together.
Okay, now will everyone please remember that this is only my opinion and my own point of view. None of this is set in stone. This is the way I think it might go. But it could turn out different in many ways. The only thing I’m almost absolutely certain about is that BT isn’t going to last very long in season 8 and that the end goal will always be Buddie.
Also, don’t come into my inbox to hate on me over this. This is literally me talking and speculating about fictional characters on a TV-show. It isn’t all that deep. These people aren’t real. I’m allowed to have opinions about them, even if those opinions go against all of your opinions. If you don’t like reading this, just move on and go read posts that you do agree with. Life is too short to get angry and frustrated over the love life of fictional characters that live in a fictional world. Thank you.
#nonnies galore#buddie#evan buckley#season 8 speculation#buddie speculation#I'm not tagging this with any other ships or characters out of respect#so please respect me back by not being an assh*le#leave my ask box alone#thank you#911 abc

The Price You Pay
Mammon x MC
MC gets hurt, and Mammon is pissed.
Warnings: mentions of blood and injury, insinuated torture, death
Everyone conveniently forgets that Mammon is the second most powerful of the avatars of sin. His nonchalant attitude, rebellious nature, and notorious failures overshadow his true capabilities. For the Avatar of Greed, this reputation had its pros and cons. On one hand, they believed him to be a fool; on the other, they never saw him coming.
One of his abilities was the power to always know the true worth of an object, deed, or debt. He could immediately determine whether artifacts, jewels, or gold were genuine, or if a service or action was worth the debt owed. Anything of value, he would know.
Mammon often did work for Diavolo on behalf of Lucifer, making deals to boost the future Demon Lord's reputation or acting as a debt collector. Despite his sticky fingers, he knew better than to try anything shady during official transactions for the crown. These weren't the same as stealing Lucifer's wallet or Levi's figures. If he did, the punishment would be far worse than being strung up by the Avatar of Pride.
Years after MC arrived in the Devildom and turned his and his brothers' world upside down, long after he and MC had started a romantic relationship, Mammon was tasked with collecting an artifact gifted to the future Demon Lord. It was an act of good faith and support for Diavolo’s ascension by one of the many noble houses.
This noble house, in particular, was known to oppose Diavolo's exchange program. While many shared their views, they had never acted against the Prince, fearing Barbatos and the Sins first born.
Upon being presented with the artifact, however, Mammon knew it was fake. The replica was detailed, but nothing could escape his gaze.
"What the fuck is this, huh? Ya think ya can just hand over this fake, and I wouldn't notice? You'll be hearing from Barbatos," Mammon barked as he stormed out.
Days passed, leaving the situation to the Demon Lord and Lucifer. Handling dissenting nobles required delicate care to avoid rebellion or war.
Mammon, meanwhile, was at one of his modeling gigs. He planned to surprise MC with a road trip in the human realm, having noticed their homesickness. He'd already gotten permission from Diavolo and Lucifer as a reward for his help, and because they couldn't say no when MC was involved.
In his changing room, the familiar he'd given to MC appeared, squawking frantically.
"Hey! Hey, hey, hey! Chill out! What's wrong with ya?" Mammon yelled, confused. Then it dawned on him: this familiar wasn't supposed to leave MC's side unless it was an emergency. His heart raced.
His D.D.D rang, Lucifer’s name glowing on the screen. Mammon answered faster than ever, panic gripping him.
"What's goin' on? Did they rally the other noble houses? Did they attack? Is MC okay?"
Lucifer’s silence was heavy. "Stay calm and listen carefully. I need you to come to the hospital immediately."
Mammon's blood ran cold. Rage took root in his mind. If it were one of his brothers, he knew they could defend themselves. But this was MC.
His D.D.D shattered under his grip, the call severed. He bolted from the room, his speed amplified by his barely contained emotions. He was outside the hospital in an instant, where his brothers waited.
He tried to push past them. "Where is MC!? Take me to them now!"
"Mammon!" Lucifer's hands gripped his shoulders, holding him back. "They are being operated on. The damage is significant, but they will live. You need to calm down."
Mammon’s anger turned toward his brothers. "Why weren't any of you with them? We're supposed to protect them! Why didn't they summon one of us? Why didn't they summon me?"
Lucifer’s eyes tightened with emotion only Mammon could decipher—an expression of powerlessness.
Satan spoke up. "The attacker used a suppression spell, making MC unable to use their magic. It was premeditated. MC is important to us and the Demon Lord, making them the perfect target."
The silence that followed was heavy. Mammon felt more angry with himself than anyone else.
"Who found them?" he whispered.
"If you hadn't gifted MC a familiar, we might not have known what happened or where they were," Lucifer answered. "The familiar guided us to them before coming to you."
Hours passed, and little was said even after the angels, Solomon, Diavolo, and Barbatos arrived. It felt like an eternity before the doctors came to take them back.
Mammon was the first to enter MC's room. They were unconscious, looking worse for wear. Bruises littered their body, and bandages covered their torso, speckled with blood. He could smell it in the air. The beeping of the monitor and the sounds of the respirator created a haunting song ringing in his ears. He gently rested his hand on their cheek, his thumb moving in gentle strokes. He buried his nose in their hair, inhaling their scent, tears pricking his eyes.
"Wait for me, okay?" he whispered, unsure if they could hear him and pressed a searing kiss to their temple.
Then he stood, feeling as if his entire body was on fire. A dark aura overtook him, and no one tried to stop him as he made his way outside.
The Devildom's sky was dotted with stars, the moon casting its gaze like a massive eye, offering no comfort. An infernal incantation slipped from his mouth, summoning a murder of crows as his true form emerged.
"Find the bastard," he ordered. The crows scattered, and he took flight. It didn't take long before they found their target. Mammon crashed through the roof of their hideout, dust billowing around him.
The noble's guards lunged at Mammon, weapons drawn and faces twisted with determination. But with a snap of Mammon’s fingers, they all fell lifeless to the ground, their bodies collapsing like marionettes with severed strings. Mammon then raised his hand, and a dark, malevolent spell engulfed the room, sucking all light away and plunging it into a pitch-black void. The noble found himself trapped within this inescapable darkness, his breaths echoing in the suffocating silence.
Mammon’s voice cut through the void, dripping with disdain. "While you were trying to hide yourself and the artifact from the Demon Lord and his allies after you fucked up during our last meeting, you somehow believed you wouldn’t be found."
The noble’s voice trembled, yet he tried to maintain a facade of confidence. "I am in the business of souls. If we are on peaceful terms with the humans, my livelihood would be at stake. But if this is about the artifact, go on and take it then. There are other ways to get what I want."
Mammon’s eyes blazed with fury, his aura crackling with barely contained rage. "Oh, I'm not here for the artifact. You owe a blood debt and won't be leaving here until I have received every last drop."
The noble's bravado faltered, fear seeping into his voice. "Come now, your Highness, Prince of Greed. Surely you can just take the artifact, yes?"
"Not good enough!" Mammon’s voice boomed, growing deeper, more demonic. "Someone laid their filthy hands on MC... MY HUMAN! No amount of money or artifacts or jewels in the Devildom can pay for that transgression, my lord. No, for that... I want your flesh."
The noble’s face paled, his eyes wide with terror. "Flesh...?"
Mammon's grin was cruel and predatory. "It matters not to me where on your anatomy it is withdrawn from. If you don't have the stomach to take it for yourself, my familiars here..." He gestured, and millions of pairs of golden eyes, now stained red, appeared all around them, their hunger palpable. "...are very adept at tearing flesh from bone, and as you can see, they are quite ravenous at the moment. But! A grim short or a gram shy, and I will savor the fact that you won't leave here alive. Am I clear?"
The noble was silent, frantically searching for an escape, but there was none. The void was absolute.
"Good. I was hoping you'd resist," Mammon barked out a command to the crows in high infernal. They descended upon the noble, their claws and beaks ready to tear their organs from their body. Mammon turned and left, the noble's screams echoing behind him as he stepped into the night, his fury only partially sated by what he had wrought.
Days later, the noble's dilapidated corpse was found strewn through the trees, dangling in little pieces. The scene was macabre, the remains a grim reminder of the wrath that had been unleashed. Crows circled overhead, a harrowing warning.
The air was thick with the scent of decay, and the gruesome display left no doubt about the message: MC was not to be touched. The flapping of countless wings and the haunting cries of the crows drove the point home. This was the fate awaiting anyone who dared harm MC, so long as the Avatar of Greed breathed.

I have a Dick Grayson request!
I don't know if you do vigilante s/o but I was wondering if you did could you write how he would react when he finds out that the crazy person jumping off buildings with his alter ego is also his gn s/o? I always find the different takes on the reader finding out about Nightwing but I really want to know what you think his reaction would be?Anyways, this might not be something you'll write but I just figured I'd ask
Lots of love and admiration for you and your works
❤️
A compliment and a Dick grayson ask??omg made my day ( I promise he isn't my favorite I love them all equally)
Ive never really written vigilante reader..or even imagined one but I can try
Dick Grayson x vigilante!s/o
s/n- supername
"There's an armed robbery at the children's hospital on 34th" reported Tim onto the batcom.
"I can get there in 5" replied Dick.
"Take hood with you, he's on 39th " Ordered Batman
"I don't need a babysitter..especially not hood"
"HAHA, Ill be there as soon as I'm done beating up this creep who was cornering pretty girls" Jason says cheekily.
"wait ..I dont think i need you here hood, or even I'm needed..S/n got here first. She's tying up the perps as we speak"
"Unmask her Nightwing, even I couldnt figure out her identity and she has been spotted in too many crimes around gotham" said Oracle
"You can't passible think THE s/n is a criminal" tim replied shocked
"Haha timmy has a thing for s/n just cause she was caught buying rock shirts from the shady stores he loves" Jason teases
" NO REAL NAMES ON THE COMS JASON, also Oracle is right. Best to be precautionary" states Batman.
Nightwing approaches s/n. "OH JEEZ, hi your scared me haha. Not that you're scary. You're really hot , I mean your partner probably finds you hot but not me. I'm just random vigilante...Uh anyways Ive called the police they're on their way so I think my work here is done!" You say hurriedly after spotting your boyf-nightwing approaching you.
"Well good work here s/n. But I actually had to speak to you alone. " "Me? why??"
"I need you to unmask yourself. Batman's orders . You cant trust me, you know I'm one of the good guys and we have been on multiple cases together. Plus you are kind of in my city"
" Well I- dick listen." "How do you -" You take off your mask to reveal yourself.
"I was about to tell you dickie..please don't be mad" "MAD? ME? MY SWEETHEART IS A CRIME FIGHTING ASS KICKING SUPERHERO! I KNEW YOU WERE TOO STRONG TO BE A BARISTA!. I mean I do wish you told me before" "I just didn't know how you would take it. You always talked about how much you loved our domestic intimacy and simplicity in our relationship and i-" Dick takes your hands in his "We can still have that baby, just because you are a superhero doesn't change anything. Youre still the best thing that ever happened to me and now we can even spend more time together as our alter ego. We would be a great power couple!" Says dick, pulling you into a passionate kiss.
"EW EW THE ROMANTIC SPEECH WAS GROSS BUT KISSING NOISES?" Yells jason into the coms
" NO DICK HOW COULD YOU, MY SUPERCRUSH MAN" Cries out tim
"shit i forgot to turn off my comms" whines dick
"NO REAL NAMES ON THE COMS !" Orders Bataman
"Bring her to the manor once you have discussed the - the revelation. There is much to talk about" Says Batman.
"I'm Surprised Y/n is even real" Joins in Damian.
"WHY WOULD I LIE ABOUT HAVING A PARTNER" yells Nightwing into the comms while you try to muffle your laugh.
"Well, I am no one to comment on your mental state NightWing, But it is questionable"
You pull away Dick from the comms before they all start bickering- and giving bruce a headache. Sure there was a lot to discuss but dick is the best batboy to be a vigilante partner to. He would be understanding and non restrictive and the perfect partner in fight. Communication is easy with him and he trusts you and gives you your space to be yourself. After all, its all these things that make him love you for you.
sorry if there is anything offensive i don't usually write gn!reader cuz I'm a cis female and I don't proof read. Also english is not my first language. Lmk if there's anything offensive and ill change it.

The 12th House: You’re Stuck In The Story
If you have been into astrology for some time, you have surely come across the elusive descriptions of the twelfth house. Hospitals, hidden enemies, lurking, prisons, etc are all terms that come about when people attempt to explain this house. However, the twelfth house seems to shirk any attempt at being understood or conceptualized. It wants to stay opaque. I also never understood this house, despite my attempts to read astrology cheat sheets and research. The only time I came close was when I learned the phrase: “you’re stuck in the story.” What does that mean? The context I heard this phrase was someone discussing how their mother consoled them after a rough breakup. She told her daughter that she was stuck in the story. She was too busy going over the events, ruminating, trying to analyze and piece together how what was became what is. But this left her in the past, unfocused on the present, causing stress and anxiety.
In the last few years, I had a crush, or better named, a limerence on a man. I’m prone to these sorts of things. Anyway, I learned that his Moon and Jupiter crossed over my 12th house. It was an interesting realization. I had considered that maybe we could be like twins, partners that matched each other in mind and spirit. Despite the fact that he was already in a committed relationships, I saw our little looks at each other, the little talks we had, his politeness as a sign that love was breezing past us as we walked side by side, our feet matching in pace and beat. I asked myself how these encounters could just mean nothing. There had to be something there! How can I feel this way if it means nothing? But in the end, these were all just little things, little courtesies that I had taken to mean much, much more. I was stuck in the story, I rehashed this man and I’s relationship over and over. What happened between us? Did he…? Do I still….? Does she know about…? I only learned that we were never partners and we could never be partners because I could only stand as his shadow, not myself. Always dedicated to him, chasing after, happy to live on those amorphous interactions of what could’ve been love. Only to come to the realization that it was nothing to him. And then I asked myself how I had been tricked. I journaled. I wrote bad poetry and bad short stories. I did even worse tarot readings. I was building the story up in my mind, always the self-analyst.
But really, I was living in the realm of questions, irrationality, anxiety. I was stuck in the story and he became this dark matter in my brain. When I was bored and idle, when I was lazy and sedentary, I thought of him. I was losing my hold on it. It wasn’t something I could let myself think about because it was all I thought about. This is the twelfth house. It’s where confusion lives, it’s where dreams, that are seemingly rational and from reality but then distorted, are born. It’s what haunts you, keeps you in bed, keeps you unfocused, anxious yet already so tired. It’s the sappy, unrefined word vomit when you try to make sense of it. It doesn’t want to be put into words, it doesn’t want to be known because it takes away the disorder it brings, in how nebulous it is. This is how I came to understand the twelfth house.
I will add that rumination can be necessary. I needed to reflect to realize what I had wasted, what I had lost, but it’s more of the spiraling. I knew the lesson, I had been aware, but all of this awareness only lead me to stay in this shady relationship, going over what I had known, creating more confusion. There is a point where healthy reflection, meditation turns into overthinking and paranoia. The rational becomes distorted. Sometimes, you should let yourself live with the fact that you couldn’t understand it. That the center couldn’t hold (maybe, it never existed) and things fell apart. Fin.

4 Minutes Theories (Ep. 4)
In this post, I've compiled my theories from my initial reaction to the trailer and the teaser (which were kind of sweeping since the trailer and teaser didn't give me much to get super detailed about), the new ones I've written down after watching new episodes (episode 1, episode 2, and episode 3), and some new wild-ass theories I've written in some scattered posts.
Just like last week, I will go through my theories one by one. Let's see how wrong I am this time, and how (un)likely the other theories are. Like last time, I might develop some of my theories and add some new ones as well.
Let's go!
Pre-premiere theory: The moments Great sees ahead of time are moments that might help him redeem himself from a past mistake/transgression. (Unconfirmed)
Well, the first two episodes seemed to have a pattern where the moments that were reversed seemed to be reversed for Great to do them over, do better, do "the right thing".
In the 3rd episode, though, it seemed like Great was moved back in time so he could tell Tyme that he could see 4 minutes into the future (with proof to make Tyme believe him). So, last week I thought it was more about moving things forward faster so he can get the information he needs to do whatever he needs to do when (if) he wakes up from his cardiac arrest in the present.
Then, in this week's episode, both of these moments pushed Great to make braver decisions. In the first one (when he argued with Tyme at the hospital) he directly asked Tyme about Nan, even though he didn't know her, and told Tyme he would find and help her.
In the second one (after seeing Nan get shot), Great stopped Samarn before he shot Nan, even though he knew Samarn had a gun.
It seems more likely at this point that it's about character growth for Great. Perhaps pushing him towards becoming a better person rather than the cowardly bystander who doesn't seem to care about anything.
Either way, I'm keeping this theory for now. I might never get a real answer to this, but I don't mind marking it as failed if I don't. So, beloved show, prove me wrong... or right... or don't give me an answer at all... I'm fine with either.
Revised/developed pre-premiere theory: Korn will do some shady shit to prove to his dad that he can take over the family business. (Unconfirmed)
Korn is deep in the shit. And I have a feeling he will only sink deeper and deeper (until he's 6 feet under).
He's already done some semi-shady shit to keep his position in the family business, but I have a feeling it will get shadier when he finds out Great helped Nan escape.
I'm also curious to see what he will do as more and more pressure is put on him. There's a dormant beast inside of him, I'm sure. I'm just waiting for it to wake up and self-destruct.
Pre-premiere theory: Title is involved with Korn. (Unconfirmed)
Before watching the first episode, I thought Title might've been a brother or that they had a boss/minion relationship (based on the similarities in their posters). But, Title is (most likely) not Korn's brother (but who knows how far Korn's dad has spread his seed...).
There's still a possibility Title is (or will be) working for Korn. I also got a hunch before the 4th episode that Title might be Fasai's brother and that his dad, then, is Police Colonel Warit. That could be why he's involved with Great, since these two families seem to know each other quite well. And it won't be a big step from there to get involved with Korn either.
Anyway, I'm keeping this theory for now.
Pre-premiere theory: Tonkla has a target on his back. (Unconfirmed)
This theory was based on the background of the poster for Fuaiz/Tonkla, and I still believe it's a possibility (which is why I'm keeping this theory).
After this week's episode, though, I feel like Tonkla might be the key to everything. The background of his poster might be a target, but what if it's something like a spider's web, and he's at the center of it?
What if Tonkla's timeline is the real past and, therefore, at the center of all of this, but the changes Great is making in the 4-minute timeline are starting to merge with Tonkla's?
I will most likely add this as a separate theory in next week's post.
Pre-ep. 2 theory: Tonkla will betray Korn. (Unconfirmed)
I'm rooting for a betrayal. I don't really care if Tonkla reveals all of Korn's dirty laundry to Win or if he ends up beating the shit out of Korn with a rock. I just want him to fuck shit up, lol.
Pre-premiere theory: Win is battling some contrasting, opposing forces (internal and/or external). (Unconfirmed)
This theory was based on the background of the poster for JJay/Win. I solely based it on the red and green contrasting colors.
Ever since it was revealed that Win works for the police, I've had the feeling that the contrasting forces he's battling are his attachment/feelings for Tonkla and his duty to uphold the law. Will Win be able to keep his situationship with Tonkla separate from his duty as a cop or will he continue to go rogue to keep his promise to Tonkla?
He's already struggling, but I need more to label this theory as confirmed.
Pre-premiere theory: Den has a situationship with Korn. (Unconfirmed)
I'm keeping this theory only because I want to see Bas and Job together. This is such a delulu wish of mine. And I will keep being delulu about this until I get it. (And probably still when there's not even a snowball's chance in hell that they'll hook up. I'm still on my "Non is alive" agenda, so I can keep this alive forever, lmao.)
Pre-ep. 3 theory: Dome is Tonkla's brother. (Confirmed)
I knew he would be a mysterious person as soon as I saw his poster with that blank background (which was a sweeping theory I had already at that point). Then, after the first episode, before we got to see him, I thought he was Manee's son. But, as soon as Title beat the shit out of him in ep 2 and Tonkla got the news his brother was killed, I knew this had to be right.
And now it's confirmed.
Pre-premiere theory: Fasai is the other character with a condition similar to Great’s (alternatively, it's Tyme). (Unconfirmed)
This won't happen (since the character they talked about in the trailer, which was where I got this theory from, was Lukwa). The only reason I'm keeping this theory is because I need the show to prove to me that Fasai doesn't have precognitive abilities so I can label this as wrong and move on.
But, for the love of everything holy, give me more of Fasai. I need more of Natty on my screen!
Pre-ep. 3 theory: Tyme has a precognitive ability similar to Great’s (or might develop one). (Unconfirmed)
I've been dilly-dallying about this since I saw the trailer. That's only because I believe it one second only to not believe it the next.
(This is a good example of how this show is fucking with my head. I love it, even though it's annoying. But it seems like I love annoying, so I only have myself to blame, lol.)
I don't necessarily think Tyme can see the future, but there is something that pulls him towards Great and I think it's something more than just Great's family's connection to the illegal gambling sites.
Last week, I wrote that he seems to be able to feel his way toward Great or something. Or, does he remember Great from some past moment that Great can't remember? Or, maybe he also has memory flashes of them having sex?
Either way, I'm keeping this theory. So, come on, show. Prove me wrong (or right).
Revised/developed pre-premiere theory: Great is having an out-of-body experience. (Unconfirmed)
I previously called this theory a "dream world" after watching the trailer and teaser, but an out-of-body experience (OOBE) is a much better description of it.
I'm keeping this until proven right or wrong.
Pre-ep. 2 theory: Great's visions of himself and Tyme are his present self's memories of their time together. (Unconfirmed)
This is based on the OOBE theory being true. But this theory seems pretty obvious to me if the OOBE theory is true.
I need it confirmed, though.
Revised/developed wild-ass pre-ep. 2 theory: Tyme is having his own out-of-body experience. (Unconfirmed)
I've had the theory that Tyme also has a near-death/out-of-body experience since after watching the 1st episode, but I developed it earlier this week while thinking about what Den's patients were saying.
I think there's a possibility that Great and Tyme are both having OOBEs and that they're having them together. Perhaps because they flatline at the same time and/or are connected in some other way (Lukwa mentioned beliefs, religion, and life experiences affecting the last moments of one's life).
Just imagine if both Tyme and Great are having OOBEs and are trying to either help each other or happen to unintentionally get in the way of each other's goals/changes? That would be bonkers, but also fun.
Or they will just utilize Great's ability to take down his dad's illegal gambling sites. I have no idea.
Anyway...
Based on Den's research and the different versions we heard his patients talk about, it could be that:
Great is having the OOBE with the 4-minute phenomenon (which is what Den called it in his research).
Tyme is having the OOBE with the people all dressed in white.
(There might be a possible third character who might have the OOBE where everything is black and they don't feel, see, or hear anything. Maybe Korn? Or Win? Or perhaps even Tonkla?)
This theory could be possible, so, perhaps it's not that wild after all...
Revised/developed pre-premiere theory: Fasai has a connection with Korn. (Unconfirmed)
Two weeks ago, I wrote that I would only confirm this if I could guess what kind of relationship they have (or half-confirm it since they clearly have some sort of connection).
They have more than likely known each other for a long time because of their families. But I feel like it would be too obvious and boring if they were engaged or even married. So I'll keep my guess that they have a situationship.
Fasai gets the pleasure of power/domination while Korn gets access to a higher standing, more money, more support, more prestige, etc.
So, I will keep this theory unconfirmed for now.
Pre-ep. 3 theory: Fasai (and/or her father) is in league with someone within the police force. (Unconfirmed)
This was actually confirmed last week as I was double-checking the name of one of the characters on MDL.
It turns out Fasai's dad is the Police Colonel Warit. So, I'm kind of right.
But!
I won't confirm this theory until I see him abuse his power by, for example, making sure the police do something in his favor. I need to hear about it or see it happen. So, I'm keeping this theory unconfirmed for now.
Pre-ep. 3 theory: There are different timelines at play. (Unconfirmed)
I've written a long ass post about the timelines this week.
To summarize, I think there are:
The present timeline
The 4-minute timeline (previously called the OOBE timeline), which is where Great changes the events based on his precognitive ability
And the real past/Tonkla's timeline
There's also a possibility that there are different realities at play. I've found some clues in the show that support that, which I also wrote about in that post.
I have some additional thoughts on the timelines/realities after watching this week's episode as well, but I will develop those in a reblog of the timelines post.
Let's see how wrong I am about this theory (even though I'm pretty sure I am, at the very least, onto something).
Pre-premiere theory: Great’s (Bible’s) tattoos have something to do with the story. (Because I refuse to believe otherwise! lol) (Unconfirmed)
I don't think this is true. However...
Just like I wrote last week (and the week before, and the week before that): I swear I'm keeping this theory because it hasn't been confirmed (or denied), yet. That's the only reason I'm keeping this theory.
I swear I'm not keeping this theory to add this image to at least one post I write each week...
Pre-premiere theory: Great becomes Korn’s target because he can see ahead of time. (Unconfirmed)
I have a feeling that this might be more possible the more I learn about Korn than I thought after watching the first episode. And there's a possibility Great will become Korn's target now that Great helped Nan escape in this week's episode. The question is if it will have something to do with his precognitive ability or if it's just because Korn feels betrayed or something.
We'll have to wait and see.
Pre-ep. 2 theory: Great has a cardiac arrest/near-death experience at 11:00. (Unconfirmed)
This probably won't be confirmed until Great wakes up in the present (if he wakes up) or if we get another glimpse of the present.
Unless I've been wrong about this the whole time...
In that case, I'll gladly move this theory into my failed/scrapped category (where most, if not all the others, will end up, lol).
Also...
Pre-ep. 3 theory: Great has 4 minutes to wake up/get his heart to start beating again. (Unconfirmed)
Great has 4 minutes (well, after the 3rd episode, it's only 2 minutes left) to wake up/get his heart to start beating again in the present before his brain gets damaged.
Lukwa confirmed in this week's episode that she thought the 4 minutes was exactly what my quick Google search told me after watching ep 2; that the brain can only survive for 4 minutes without oxygen. It would explain why both Great and Lukwa see 04:00 on the wall in that gallery.
As I wrote before, my guess is that Great needs to find the information he needs during his OOBE before the time runs out so his heart can start beating in the present again.
What that information is, remains to be seen.
Revised/developed pre-ep. 3 theory: Tyme is looking into the illegal gambling sites because his family fell victim to either them or Great's dad. (Unconfirmed)
Should I label this as confirmed now that Tyme said his family had been destroyed by Great's parents? Or do I want to keep it for a little while longer to find out what really happened before I confirm it?
I'll keep it a little longer.
Pre-ep. 3 theory: Tyme is getting close to Great because of Great's family and their connection to the illegal gambling sites. (Unconfirmed)
You know, after writing about the timelines in the show, and thinking that Tyme might be dealing with his own OOBE, this might not be true in the 4-minute timeline. It could've happened in the real past, but perhaps not here?
I don't know, we'll see.
Pre-premiere theory: Someone will die/fake their death. (Unconfirmed)
As I wrote in the previous posts in this series on my 4 Minutes theories, this theory was pretty obvious from the start. Sammon kills characters all the time, lol.
But, I also mentioned in one of the previous posts that I won't confirm this theory until one of the major characters dies.
Technically, Dome has already been killed by Title. It's even been confirmed now that we've seen that he is Tonkla's brother and was killed (in the real past). But, I need more, lol.
I've previously speculated on who would be killed and wrote Dome, Title, and perhaps Korn, which I still stand by.
I might label this as confirmed as soon as another major character shows up dead, or I might not pass this theory until at least two out of my predictions (Dome, Title, and Korn) show up dead. And now that I have Dome, I just need one more.
So, I'm keeping this theory for now.
Pre-ep. 4 theory: When the clock strikes 11:04, Great wakes up in his real past rather than his present and gets to do everything all over again according to what he learned during his OOBE. (Scrapped)
I regretted this theory as soon as I wrote it last week, lol.
I don't want this to happen. I don't want a do-over. I want Great to wake up and face the consequences of whatever he did (or didn't do) in the real past.
So, I will scrap it as fast as I added it to my list last week.
Pre-ep. 4 theory: Great's actions during his OOBE won't change anything in the present. (Unconfirmed)
I wrote about this theory earlier this week. And, again, I want Great to wake up and face the consequences of whatever he did (or didn't do) in the real past.
I would much rather have Great's OOBE be a learning experience for him and/or give him some information that will be vital for the future than have his OOBE change his current situation.
Pre-ep. 4 theory: Tyme's choices in the real past are the reason Great is in the hospital having a cardiac arrest. (Scrapped)
I had this idea right after the 3rd episode, thinking the note saying "Can you forgive me, Great?" on the tea was from Tyme as well. But, when I looked closer at those two notes again, they were clearly not written by the same person.
It's still possible that Tyme's choices in the real past are the reason Great is having his OOBE right now. But I think I'll scrap this theory as fast as I added it to my list last week. Mainly because I'm starting to think there's another reason Great might be having a cardiac arrest in the present.
And, on the topic of the note...
Pre-ep. 4 theory: The note saying "Can you forgive me, Great?" is written by the mystery woman in the gallery. (Unconfirmed)
I had this theory a couple of days ago.
Did I base this on the tea being red and the woman (who we now know is Lukwa) sitting in a red gallery? Yes. Am I really admitting that I'm crazy like that? I mean... no point in hiding it.
How likely is it, though? It's possible. So, I'm keeping this one.
Wild-ass pre-ep. 2 theory: Great will get Tyme's heart (after Tyme is shot). (Unconfirmed)
This is not the Transplant I want, btw. But it might be possible.
(Disclaimer: I'm not a medical professional. I have no idea if this is medically possible considering where Tyme was shot and how far he might be from a hospital (since I know a body needs to be hooked up to a ventilator to be able to keep the organs alive if organ donations are to be possible). So, excuse my lively imagination, lol.)
I will develop this theory in a separate post (hopefully). I just have a feeling that we're sometimes getting a Last Christmas kind of thing, and I have so much to say about it (even though most of it will never happen, lol).
Wild-ass pre-ep. 3 theory: The number 4 marks a character with death. (Unconfirmed)
The number 4 (which in Cantonese is pronounced very similarly to the word "death") marks characters with death. Either actual death or something like a cardiac arrest (which can be saved).
Those characters are:
The patient at the beginning of the 1st episode who has a cardiac arrest. (I still believe this is Great, even though the bandages are on the same places where Tyme was injured.)
Great, who is surrounded by the number several times during his OOBE.
Manee, who is lying in room number 4 at the hospital.
View, Title, and Dome who are near the 4 on the trashcan in the 2nd episode. (It might just be one or it might be all three, my guess is all three.)
And the elderly lady in bed 4 that Great had intubated even though Den said it might've been more humane to let her die.
Also, since I clearly believe the show is playing with several timelines, the number 4 might signify the characters that died in the real past:
Great, who flatlines (even though that might technically be in the present)
Manee, who Great hit and left to die
View, who might've been killed by Title if Great hadn't helped her escape from him (wouldn't it be bonkers if one of the bodies the police found, in what I believe is the real past, is her?)
Dome, who most likely would've been killed if Great hadn't stopped Title
Title, who still has time to die (perhaps murdered by Tonkla)
And the elderly lady in bed number 4 who will, most likely, die because of her illness
Let's see how wrong I am about this.
New theories after the 4th episode:
Here, I'll gather the new theories I have (to make it simpler for myself to find them next week) and maybe add one or two other ones I've come up with.
I'm still thinking about the rocks in the 2nd episode and what significance they have, but I haven't made up my mind about this yet. I'll have to think a bit more about this and perhaps develop it in a separate post.
Tonkla might be the key to everything. What if his timeline is the real past, but the changes Great make in the 4-minute timeline are starting to merge with Tonkla's?
Results so far:
Total theories since the trailer: 35
Confirmed theories: 2.5
Unconfirmed theories: 26.5
Wrong/scrapped theories: 6
New theories after ep 4: 1

Since there isnt any yan!foreman hcs may i get some? If not can i get some yan!cuddy headcanons? Tysm!!
Yandere!Eric Foreman Headcanons
Honestly, I’m surprised Foreman doesn’t get more love from the fandom. I’ve never had a request from him before so I’m happy to do it!
Warnings: Yandere, Yandere!foreman, stalking, obsession, delusion, mental breaking, power imbalance, manipulation, readers gender isn’t mentioned
House md taglist: @flowercrowns-goodvibes @tuttifuckinfruttifriday
House md masterlist. Other masterlists
Forman probably meets you at the hospital, you’re a student still finishing med school studying under foreman
Without really thinking about it, he starts to enjoy being in a position of power over you. It’s not even just the power, it’s the fact that he can tell YOU to do something and you drop everything to do it
What starts as him reading over your file when he probably shouldn’t have begins an obsession in learning everything about you
And he’s definitely not above using shady ways to do it
He also starts to watch you, wanting to know how you spend your time at the hospital
And then how you spend your free time
He eventually decides that he can’t just follow you around all the time, but he could definitely put a tracker on your car
Then he can check from his phone whenever he wants to see where you’re driving to
At work he starts to be… unprofessional with you
Having discussions that he shouldn’t be having, be far to close to you, some wandering hands, and he knows you won’t say anything
If you ever try to say something to him about his behavior he immediately denies it asking ‘how dare you accuse him of something like that? He’s giving you the best chance at a good career and you would say something like that?!’
It’s enough to shut you up for a while
He kinda sees you as a pet, seeing how much he could push until you break
He wouldn’t pursue a real relationship for a while, instead breaking you down until he could walk you around the hospital like a little puppy
Until you are completely complicit in whatever he wants to do.

Do you have any headcanons about the relationship between Michigan and Iguazu?
BOY DO I!!!!
So, their relationship is actually pretty complicated, even though superficially it seems like a typical "boss trying to whip a slacker into shape". Well, they're that too, but:
Iguazu has very mixed feelings re: Michigan, because on the one hand he broke his goddamn face and then press-ganged him into Redgun service, but on the other hand, the Redguns granted him opportunities he never would've had on earth, and he's actually treated considerably better than he had been on earth too.
See, on earth, Iguazu was born into the working class, but he didn't want to live his life in the production factories or fabrication foundaries, so he was - gasp - unemployed and joined one of the many gangs that roamed the slums. Smuggling, robbery, illegal gambling, anything that could get him ahead in life, anything that could make him that little bit richer, Iguazu went for it. His lifelong dream was to get enough scratch to buy a bronze citizenship and move into one of the Rejuvenated cities, but he needed lots of money for that.
Lots and lots and lots of money.
Gambling was his favourite way of trying to get that money, because in his eyes it was a 'get rich quick and don't even get shot at' method. He did petty crime to get the fistful of cash needed to throw down a bet - and then lose it all lmao it was an endless cycle. In fact, it was how he got augmented in the first place, as he put down a huuuuuuuuge bet he just couldn't cover, and when he lost it, he realised not even selling a kidney or liver would cover the debt.
Fortunately, he managed to make a deal with some shady augmentation surgeon looking for 'test subjects' for some highly experimental """"Gen Four""""" augmentations, and he took a chance: if he survived the surgery and let the surgeon get whatever data he wanted from it, the surgeon will pay off his debt. If he didn't survive the surgery well, he'll be dead. If he couldn't pay back that debt though, he was dead anyways, so Iguazu took the chance and actually won!
So, an augmented human that doesn't have any debt nor ties to corporations is pretty valuable, even if they don't have an AC to pilot. With his new second chance, Iguazu shunned gambling for good and- HAH no. He went back to his previous life of petty crime and excessie gambling, except now he was a little cockier. Anyway, he climbed the ranks a little in the gang he was in (where he had consistently stayed, not quite at the bottom, but like, bottom third, maybe), and got tangled up in a scheme to get some seriously big cash.
tl;dr Iguazu tried to rob the Hero of Jupiter of all people.
Didn't work, obviously. His gang got busted halfway through the job and Iguazu got left behind to take the fall. Michigan basically beat him half senseless, but didn't kill him (even though he could've done it and the law would've been like "oh, unemployed working class, yeah, it wouldn't count as murder :)" since only citizens are protected (working class aren't "citizens" in apv...)). Instead, after rearranging Iguazu's face and breaking a few bones, Michigan dragged him to the hospital and paid his medical bill.
Now. Onto where the complicated feelings come in.
Life on earth was a constant struggle, and Iguazu was aware that he wasn't at the bottom of the social ladder so much as even the worms tilling the soil were considered more productive members of society than him. None of his schemes or gambling was getting him the money he wanted, and after attempting to rob the Hero of Jupiter, the Peacekeepers weren't going to arrest him, they'd just vanish him completely, which was scarier.
But that didn't happen. Instead Michigan offered him a deal: if Iguazu served ten years in the Redguns as one of his AC squad commanders, then Michigan will personally sponsor him a silver earth citizenship and give him a lump sum of COAM to start him off for his new life.... but if Iguazu turned him down, then Michigan was going to leave him to the mercy of the Peacekeepers, which was essentially a death sentence.
Obviously, Iguazu was going to take the deal, no matter how suspicious as fuck it sounded.
Really, Iguazu was half-expecting Michigan to make him his indentured slave. But instead he found that, no, he was legitimately recruited as an AC pilot. Was trained to be an AC pilot. Michigan even forced him to train in other things too - marketable skills he called them, no matter how much Iguazu grouched and complained about them being boring or pointless. Michigan pushed him to do better, didn't take any of Iguazu's shit, and if Iguazu pushed back too hard, promptly smacked him back into his place and reminded him of their deal.
It really confused Iguazu more than anything? Like, he hated Michigan on principle, and he hated how he was in control of his life and strongarmed him into a group he didn't even care about, but at the same time he felt some weird, bitter and begrudging gratitude and respect - which made him hate Michigan even more because he can't even just hate the guy without it being complicated!! Michigan was just some rich famous guy who decided to make Iguazu his charity case, and he really despised him for it.
But he was also aware that life in the Redguns was considerably better than life on earth had been to him. He'd paid a generous salary. He sleeps in a warm, clean bed (even when sent to Rubicon, their barracks had a functional cot). He got to eat every day and didn't have to worry about tomorrow. He met people he could tolerate and weren't always thinking about how to fuck him over (Volta). Iguazu really does have a lot of complicated feelings over Michigan and what he's done for him, but he settles for resentment and bitter anger because those emotions he knows best. He knows what to do with those...
Michigan, meanwhile?
Really, he was thinking about Walter when it came to Iguazu. Saw this gutsy, angry, refused to stay beaten down "sewer rat", and just couldn't help but glimpse Walter in there. Like, yeah, Walter was never that mouthy, was colder, more composed and poised, but damn, that crazy, raw stubbornness that was just shy of the fierceness of a cornered animal was all Walter.
As well, his experiences with Walter, and his own perspective on both sides of the social ladder - and how the working class are treated - had Michigan feeling some kind of way. He just decided to go for it, see what happened. Iguazu had the guts to try and rob him and, when caught, squared up to him like an absolute lunatic. Michigan liked that kind of gutsy lunacy. Combined with his sort of Walter reminders, he decided to just... offer a helping hand.
Walter sure as hell never had one of those. Walter did everything himself, horded that bitter resentment until it poisoned him right down to the bone marrow, and now he's god knows where doing who knows what. So... yeah, it's complicated on Michigan's side too.
They're both so emotionally constipated, though. Michigan sure as hell explained nothing, Iguazu stewed at what he perceived to be unwanted pity and charity, and everyone else just kinda watched this from the sidelines like hm. intersting. well anyway-
oh man i did not mean to ramble that much but. yeah!!!! yeah... my michigan and iguazu headcanons...

A chronological analysis on Twilight and Yor - Part 10
*This is part of an ongoing post series. If you missed the Introduction/Part 1, click here*
----------
Before Anya gets her first stella, we get another scene of Twilight pressuring her to study after he sees her poor test scores. While he's still a bit strict here, he catches himself soon after chiding her, realizing that pushing her too hard will only hurt her motivation (meanwhile, Yor is once again the encouraging mother and compliments Anya on her good math test score).
Rather than keep forcing his agenda of making her an academically inclined scholar like he did before, this time Twilight makes noticeable effort to try to understand Anya's side of it, as he and Yor discussed previously. He tries various activities to see which one she naturally excels at, and though she doesn't do well in any of them, he tells himself not to get too worked up, since she is only a first grader and Desmond won't be making his move right away.
Even when Anya continues to screw up when they volunteer at the hospital, he doesn't get mad at her. However, when she does end up getting a stella, he doesn't hide the fact that he feels genuinely proud of her. He pats her head (one of his rare displays of affection) and tells her "nice work," all the while thinking to himself that he felt the same sense of pride when he stopped a terrorist attack during a mission. We get two "softly emphasized" panels of Twilight smiling proudly at Anya, and Anya beaming back at him. The fact that he's allowing himself to feel a genuine emotion for this child that he originally felt no qualms about returning to the orphanage, shows his growth not just from a parenting perspective, but also from an emotional one, as slight as it is.
Of course, Yor has no problem giving Anya a big hug and telling her how happy she is. Looking at Anya's face, Yor is probably still learning how to hold back when hugging Anya and was squeezing her a bit too tight. Thankfully she didn't break anything like she had done with Yuri!
When Anya decides that she wants a dog as her stella reward, Twilight and Yor's initial ideas about dogs are fitting. Since both of their lives have revolved so heavily around their work, they never got to know many "normal" things, including a normal relationship people have with dogs. The ever-paranoid Twilight imagines a burley guard dog trained for security purposes – someone like him could only imagine getting a dog because it would be useful for his missions, not for something "trifling" like emotional support. Yor sees dogs as dangerous, likely because many of the criminals she's sent to assassinate have attack dogs for their protection.
Twilight even goes so far as to have WISE supply their own trained dogs to the pet shop. But much to his dismay, Anya doesn't like any of them, causing Twilight to reluctantly decide to try the adoption fair instead.
When Anya wanders off, Yor panics when she can't find her. More of her naivety about the world shows when she assumes that Anya was kidnapped in order to be some shady character's bride because she had just seen it on TV.
When she finally does find Anya with the terrorists, we once again see her scary "mama bear" mode that's strictly reserved for anyone who threatens her loved ones. Similar to how Twilight is willing to quickly cast aside his "for the mission" philosophy if someone he cares about is in trouble, Yor will quickly cast aside her desire to act "normal" for the same reason. She and Anya then share a sweet moment where Anya apologizes for running off and Yor gives her a hug.
I'd also like to mention that both Twilight and Yor were threatened by the German shepherd, but both of them chose not to actually harm him even though they definitely could have. Instead of giving him one of her deadly kicks like she does to anyone else who's about to harm Anya, Yor chose to instead give him an intimidating glare (which worked).
Twilight could have shot him, but instead he chose to shoot off his vest containing the bomb. Even when the dog was biting him, he chose to trap him in a nearby dumpster instead of shooting him. He even apologized to the dog, both for having to put him in the dumpster and for the more general reason that dogs like him have to suffer for human conflict.
As much as Twilight and Yor see dogs as dangerous creatures, they choose not to harm a dog that was actually a threat to them. Yor even showed concern for Bond (a dog she just met who was supposedly allied with terrorists) when she thought Anya was being too rough with him.
Anyone who shows compassion to animals always gets points in my book! (there was also the time at the Eden interview where Yor chose to subdue the rampaging bull by hitting its pressure points when killing/injuring it would have been easier for her – she even said that she wasn't sure such a thing would work on a bull, but took the risk anyway).
Of course, Twilight and Yor's initial concerns about dogs disappear once they bring Bond into their home and see what a gentle boy he is.

Love and Deepspace x Mystic Messenger
I am full of unpopular, problematic opinions, with this crossover! Because the similarities and differences I see are unlike what everyone else seems to see!
The easy one: Zayne and Jumin are the same.
Hot, cool, stoic.
Elite Sir.
Does Zayne wear gloves to fancy hospital charity events? Because I think he should.
If you like Jumin, you will like Zayne. Not an opinion, just the facts.
Less easy one, but not unexpected: Yoosung and Xavier are very similar.
Blond
Videogames
huge "step on me, mommy!" vibes, until their switch is flipped, and then it's "I'm The Alpha."
if I had been playing from the beginning, Xavier would have been my favourite. He's not, but more on that later.
They're very Wolf in Sheep's Clothing. Fandom Flanderization sort of devolves them into slacker gamer and sleepy boi. But then you get to know them more and you see how responsible and hardworking they can be. Love it, 10/10, very husband material
And then there's Rafayel. A lot of people have paired him with Zen, because he's an artist, he's famous, he's talented, he's a diva. But he also hates sweating/working out, he expects to be pampered, he expects not just praise but worship. (Which is fair, considering where he's from!) These aren't Zen things. Zen doesn't expect anything from his MC; she could treat him like dirt and he'd still stay in a relationship with her (Bad Relationship Ending 2? 3?) No, I see Rafayel as being similar to Seven.
flighty and odd on the day to day
Very Memeable. Very good.
running off and doing Art Things feels like running off and doing Hacker Things
goofy and breezy when things are light, when times are good.
when times are bad, they get surprisingly intense and dark.
the old "remembering past lives/remembering past playthroughs" conspiracy
If they need to be serious, they will be The Most serious.
Hacker v. Assassin?
Dodging their managers.
It's the hidden depths, for me.
So. My favourite is Sylus. I started playing when they introduced him because white hair, red eyes, broad shoulders. I am a simple woman with simple tastes, sue me.
The easy thing would be to say that he and Zen are similar. And they have their similarities: aside from confidence in their unearthly beauty, they also handle their MC like gold, they have rough, violent pasts, and basically raised themselves up.
But I would say Sylus' MysMe parallel is Vanderwood.
We don't have the VanderRoute (although it would be nice, it doesn't make sense to the Rika/V of it all!), but:
elite, special operative of some kind
shady deals
guns
fashion
being frustrated with their underlings
the banter. The amazing, chemistry-steeped banter.
a dangerous man who needs a love interest who can keep up with his lifestyle.

4 and 27 for the writer's ask game 🤗
Hi Myrtle! Thank you for the ask! 💛
4. a story idea you haven't written yet
Oho, do i have plenty of those! One of them is an AruAni medical drama, sort of like Grey's Anatomy but with aot characters. The 104th are doing their internship at the same hospital. Annie's the daughter of the acclaimed doctor Leonhart, and she bonds with Eren over the 'perks' of having fathers with such powerful names in their domains. It's through him that she meets Armin who- lo and behold- is renting out his late grandfather's house. And since she desperately needs to get out of her father's house, it's the perfect opening. And it sort of develops from there-- they start falling for one another, they're a great team at work, they quarrel at home because they have different tabiets and so on and so forth.
Maybe Armin is like the O'Malley of his year- very awkward, underestimated, the butt of each joke... proves himself worthy by performing heart surgery in an elevator during a blackout. Levi could be their attending- who they mistake for a janitor at first because he was dusting a shelf when they first met. Erwin is the chief of surgery, also a general surgeon, and he keeps getting these crazy ideas for investments and possible procedures- which are, of course, encouraged by Hange the cardio surgeon and very much frowned upon by Levi. Hange takes a special interest in Annie because of her father's legacy. Levi hates all their guts. Eren tries to get to his good side by getting closer to his niece Mikasa, which proves to be futile. I just think it'd be hilarious to hear Bailey's speech out of Levi's mouth- "Don't bother sucking up to me, I already I already hate you." Hilarious!! Maybe at some point he'd take a week off and the group would get Shadis assigned as their resident- which doesn't end well; catching Sasha stuffing her face with chips during rounds is the last drop for him.
Maybe Annie told her father she's moving in with her boyfriend (ahem *Armin* ahem) to get him off her back and then they'd have to fake a relationship in front of the old man. Maybe they actually start acting like a couple all the time and don't even realize it until Hitch jokingly points out that they're like an old married couple.
The possibilities are endless!! Had I known more on the medical part of things, I'd probably actually write the thing lmao ;-;
27. your favorite part of the writing process
Outlining!! Now, before i outline i usually vomit all the ideas i have into a document, however they might come to me- chaotic, all over the place... The outlining part is when it all starts making sense. And i just love putting stuff in order and watching how my silly ideas start taking a shape, tying together to form a coherent thing that breathes on its own.
Thank you once again for asking! I had such a blast answering these haha, and i'm sorry it took so long for me to get around to it ;-;
ask game in question
#i think you can guess what my current hyperfixation is lmao#but yeah!#thank you for asking!#ask game#aruani

Hehe hi! I'm new to your blog but I like your writing a whole lot already! (I saw your post about sending in HSR stuff and was so excited!)
I was wondering about a little something (even just hcs) for Sampo with a fem!reader who's basically like Natasha's little sister and works in the clinic too 💕 fluff and spice is always nice 💕
Keep up the excellent writing!
-Ally
Hi Ally! Thanks so much for the request, and so sorry for taking a long time to complete it, I've been writing less frequently as of late. Thanks for your kind words and hope you like these headcanons I came up with. 💖💖 Sampo x fem!reader who works at Natasha's clinic Warnings: none, fluff, mostly sfw, g/n reader, no pronouns, no specific body parts mentioned
You’ve been with Natasha since she’s managed to open her clinic, with some age difference, Nat basically treated you like younger sister. It was nice to have someone looking out for you in the Underworld, so you did your best to help her with anything you could, basically becoming her apprentice as well.
When a weird self-confident but a tad smarmy guy showed up in the Underworld and assisted Natasha with providing some medicine from Overworld as well as some info and intel about what has been happening in Belobog, you didn’t pay a lot of attention to him.
It’s not until he started openly flirting with you, bringing small trinkets with him when coming to clinic to trade with Natasha. “To my precious customer’s precious person, free of charge” he’d say, offering you few flowers growing only in the Overworld, some intricate sweets you’ve never tasted, notebooks, postcards with Belobog views with some cheesy one-liners written inside them.
It all looked fairly innocent, and you didn’t seem interested, always making fun of Sampo’s manner of speech and antics, so Natasha could only roll her eyes at his antics and brush everything off, with you giggling on the backside.
You haven’t even noticed how Sampo’s visits became more and more frequent, him coming to hang out in the hospital even when Natasha was out just to chat you up. He’s been nothing but gallant and polite with you, even if a bit obnoxious, so you had no reason to reject his offers to walk you home when you ran errands, to just entertain him with an idle talk when he barged into clinic saying he’s terribly bored.
With Natasha and Seele always doting on you and nagging you about Sampo’s shady ways, you decided to keep your friendship low-key and offered him to meet somewhere outside clinic, to which Sampo wholeheartedly agreed with the biggest grin you’ve seen on his face.
You didn’t know it at the time, but that was how you basically went on a first date with him and how your more intimate relationship kick-started.
Even though it has been interesting to listen to Sampo’s overexaggerated stories about his adventures and heists, it has been even more nice when his tongue was busy with something (or rather someone) other than talking.
Kissing in the dark alleyways, giggling, and hiding in the clinic’s storage room, basically devouring each other and desperately grinding your bodies, while making sure Natasha or clinic’s patients cannot hear you, hiding from angry Seele who’s been chasing Sampo to chastise him for something he has done again, constantly patching up his wounds – it all became a part of your everyday routine.
You started enjoying the mischievous side of him a lot more, coming to terms with a bit shady persona he has and the ‘businesses’ he seemed to have a never-ending amount of. Though, observing his actions closely, you’ve noticed that he’s never been outright cruel or backstabbing to people, or so you wanted to think to satisfy your goody-two-shoes persona. Sometimes you still nagged him over the things he’s done that seemed too much for your standards, so Sampo begrudgingly agreed with you time and time again to repair the damage he's done to some people.
Natasha’s been fuming when she returned home one day a bit earlier and saw Sampo in your bedroom, him managing to say only “Wooops” with a shrug of his shoulders. She’s never expected this outcome, especially with Sampo’s lessened visits and flirting with you at the clinic lately. So, you two ended up sitting in the living room and receiving a ‘parent talk’ from her.
Sampo’s almost weaseled his way from under Natasha’s scrutiny, but it was mostly due to your assurance that you’re an adult person responsible for your own actions and you’ve got everything under control.
Once busted, the rumors spread around the Underworld, you’ve started receiving all kinds of comments about your relationship, earning only exasperated groans from you. Though, you’ve been happy that you don’t need to hide anymore. Well…unless Sampo has been chased by Seele again, or hiding from some of the café’s patrons to whom he owed something, or haven’t finished Oleg’s errand in a long time…
But you like it, you love your boyfriend and how the things are never simple and boring with him. And, despite him being a total menace he has not stopped showing his love and appreciation for you for a single moment, always being sure to shower you with gifts and attention whenever he got back from his heists.

4 minutes ep 1 & 2 theories
1: tyme knew great from before:
i feel like tyme knew great even before they collided into each other. tyme is giving very much stalker vibes. he could be following great for shady reason. like den says to tyme that he never remembers patient's name but in ep2 he very clearly remembers great's full name. then him appearing to save great from title out of nowhere and that too in parking. and overall trying to be attractive in front of great.
2: tyme and ton has very similar goals:
tyme and ton are close friends. i feel like they both hold prejudices against wealthy powerful people like sriwatsombat family. both had reasons to be mad at them. so both planned to take down the family, starting with two sons, great and korn.
ton was already in relationship with korn. ton was also frustrated with korn bc korn was not returning his love. also how he didnt believe in judicial system either cuz it doesnt give enough punishment to criminal.
tyme was mad bc he was a doc. esp after listening to story of lady in room4, how gambling ruined her and her son's life (editing really looked like he was entering his villain era with the thunders and eye stare). he must have found out that sriwatsombat deals with gambling and then decide to take them down.
and then tyme started stalking great or just collecting info about family and in process fall in love with him...
3: who died?:
we see that day-4 goes like below:
Its around midnight, great and dome arrives at hospital -> tyme takes great’s case and stiches him -> next morning police is investigating -> title is hiding somewhere -> ton learns abt bro’s death -> at night tyme saves great from title and shares line id
and day-5 goes like below:
gambling company is hacked or something -> korn makes out with lady -> ton is super sad -> win meets ton -> tyme was the person who took down site
so, on day 4 midnight/early-morning, everyone was alive including dome at hospital. But then maybe even dome got to leave the hospital, then ton and title fought each other at same location and dome died. then the next morning title goes into hiding and comes out to kill great too but is unsuccessful. tyme says great that he has to meet a friend(for planning and plotting). then tyme was worried about safety of great and so he asks ton to finish off title the next night. and also bc ton was very bc of his bro's death. so he would totally do it. ton also says how judicial system is unfair and doesn’t provide enough punishment. So he decided to take matters in his own hand. Also he was very angry bc of korn. So he kills title on the night of day5.
so both tyme and ton finishes off the tasks on the night of day5.

✧ about ✧
ALIAS: Sawyer Davis
AGE & BIRTHDATE: 27, June 30th 1996
GROUP: Baby Vampire
FACECLAIM: Grace Van Patten
Others have described them as confident & seductive, but also addictive & destructive.
sawyer was born in the lively city of new york, her mother and father had only been together for a few weeks when her mother got pregnant and they seemed to make it work… at least until sawyer was two.
her mother decided she couldn’t be a mom anymore and packed her things, leaving them behind… at least that’s the story her father has always told her.
it didn’t start seeping out right away, her father’s addiction to alcohol and how mean he could get when he had a few too many… at first he was a dedicated father. dressing her the best he could for school and dropping her off at the door but as she got older and more self sufficient, his addiction worsened.
she never told anyone that she was basically the adult in her house, her father lost his job and was doing shady things to make sure his addiction was covered. she was picking him up at bars when she was twelve.
her saving grace through all of it was ?, ? and his family always made her forget what was going on at home.
the two of them were inseparable even going far enough to go on summer vacations together to marina.
as soon as she graduated, her father gradually allowed his drunken anger to get worse.
but the best thing to happen was when she was twenty-three, when her and ? decided to give dating a shot. she thought maybe if she had him she could handle anything.
at least until two years into their relationship when somehow her father found out she wasn’t actually his kids and attacked her.
an attack that lead her to telling ? over the phone she had a business opportunity in chicago and she was hoping he would support her last minute decision… which he did.
in chicago was supposed to be her mom, she tracked her down. when she got to chicago and showed up on the front porch, her mother lost it. she told her to get lost and not to come back because she didn’t want her kids and husband to find out she had another kid.
it’s when her and ? became distant and when she met (tbd) who sold her the drugs that would lead her down a path she couldn’t come back from.
? thought the distance was a lot and she agreed, the two of them agreed to remain friends and the only times the pain and reality of losing him to this degree was only felt when she was sober she never let herself be.
she spent a looooot of time in a drug haze, barely making it by. she was in and out of being sober, her relationship with her drug dealer slowly changing.
the two of them ended up partying together one night which started the romance that took a chokehold over her.
they spent most of their time in a drug haze, partying, having sex, doing drugs, it was a consistent routine.
at least until a few months ago, she overdosed in their motel room. all he did was call the ambulance and hit the road.
she woke up in the hospital alone, refusing to answer any question and packed her bags, little does she know what truly happened to her.
