Victor being electrocuted by Angie is a metaphor (or an analogy if you will) of elettroconvulsive therapy in psychiatry. This was and is still used to treat patients with severe mental disorders like mania, depression, delusions and is directly linked with Victor's parents and what he said he learned ever since he was little about emotions and such. So it isn't casual at all. Victor is putting his life at risk to test a theory because he wants to be like Eli but at the same time he is being involuntarily 'treated' for the assumptions that they made which seem absurd to a scientist like Angie. She doesn't stop the dial but increases the power. I think that as a researcher, she was also curious to see if the claim Victor made is true. She kept electrocuting Victor for the sake of science, somehow. But there was also an underlying 'punishment' against Victor because he nor Eli had told her about their discoveries. Angie felt left out, and let the feeble line between sanity and emotions take over until Victor lost consciousness. He came to, unconsciously holding that same restless energy Angie had put into him with the electrocution. And, unable to sublimate it because it was raw and unexpected, he unleashes it on her, who is knocked out on the spot. Such are the consequences of craving power. You win some, you lose some

I love victor vale and his wardrobe of only black clothes. I love that he just HAD to get a trench coat once he was out of jail. He stays up late giggling and kicking his feet thinking about finally seeing eli again and outsmarting him. I love that that one of his first interactions with sydney was a stupid dad joke.
