maybe a weird question, but do you have any recommendations for non-mob psycho media? I’ve been in search of something that hits similarly/is as well made and I trust your judgement o wise one. I’m not super picky, so recs of any kind would be appreciated :)

im like the worst person to take media recommendations from because you have to tie me down to watch something new and then i get obsessed with it forever, in terms of things ive seen recently that hit the same tumblr is NOT lying dungeon meshi is really good and if you start watching now you're gonna be watching at the part where it starts getting crazy

other stuff ive been into (gets progressively less mob psycho and generally more depressing like the further down we go bc i tend to get into really, really sad shit):

-i <3 deltarune but everyone has already played that. deltarune good. if you havent played deltarune play deltarune. genuinely like it more than undertale. also if the last chapter of deltarune is just the confession arc i called it and deserve a million dollars

-same w spiderverse. listen usually i dont care about superhero stuff but god these movies are good and i really hope they stick the landing.

-everything everywhere all at once continues to be one of my favorite movies ever

-rainworld (video game, very difficult but skurry's playthroughs do a good job summarizing the plot and general vibe of each route if you wanna watch those. i watched my friend play survivor ages ago and ive been playing through survivor with a friend on multiplayer and decided to watch some playthroughs to get a feel for the map and GOD DAMN the story of this game. rivulet route almost made me cry.) fair warning this is animal death the video game.

-severance (live action tv show, general plot is some sort of dystopian future where they invent a surgery where you can seperate your work self from your normal self so you clock into work and then black out until your shift is over. except your work self is just stuck at work forever. only 9 episodes but very, VERY good)

-i actually really enjoyed the scott pilgrim comics and the anime i wish anyone ever could be normal about them. id definitely suggest comics (if you can handle the 2000s humor) then anime. also basically everyone knows this but fair warning that starting out the main character is in his early 20s dating a 17 year old, it is explicitly treated as a shitty thing by the narrative and theres nothing explicit and its made very clear that he has 0 feelings for her whatsoever and is just using her as an ego boost but if youre sensitive to that stuff i might skip this one

-lots of webcomics about animals. i read so many webcomics about animals its like. my main media intake. this is part of the reason that i dont understand complaints about the art style my favorite webcomic looks like this

its called doe of deadwood and ill think about it until the day i die. others im currently reading (since this one wrapped a while ago) are "what lurks beneath" (cat cult on an island) "waves always crash" (cat cult on the beach) "i didnt know" (cat cult in a barn), toufati sawa (hyena trying to avenge her clan) and africa (leopard trying to survive the harshening world with her cubs) warning for animal death with all of these and general abuse warning for all those cat cult ones bc. cults.

-i like warrior cats. do not read warrior cats. its not very good and youll get stuck here forever.

-pathologic but the actual game and not just people describing the game please watch someone play the actual game summaries skip so much of the meat of the story and the characters. or play the game if you can bear learning to strategically quicksave. fair warning there is a lot of racism depicted against indigenous people in these games and while the framing of it generally aires on the side of "racism bad" there are a lot of kinda shitty tropes that come with it.

-listen bojack horseman is one of my shows it is the polar opposite of mob psycho in like every way and i would never in a million years recommend it if you want something that hits like mob psycho but if we're asking for just things i enjoy this is one of them. heavy cw for drug usage and abuse with this one. might want to give "does the dog die" a look for this one bc people are not joking about how heavy this show is

-same with hospice. hospice is a concept album about a hospice worker and a patient and has had more of an influence on me than any other piece of media ever bc i found it at the exact perfect time in my life for it to be relevant to my circumstances and now its like part of my identity. heavy cw for abuse also

-speaking of concept albums hey have you listened to tyler the creator he has several. WOLF especially i really like because the plot is actually like. kinda intricate. he also says the f slur a lot in WOLF but hes bisexual so diversity win?

So uhm i got kind of bored and made a micro fic about canon Dorcas' death so yeah!

Obviously, Dorcas wasn’t thinking clearly anymore. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be here. Everyone’s dead—Benjy, Wilkes, Regulus, Evan… and Marlene. Maybe it’s selfish, but she could live with everyone dying, as long as they didn’t touch her. But they did. So here she is, trying to avenge so many people—so many that there aren’t enough deaths or spells to make it right.

She feels the wards as she opens the gate to Lestrange Manor, but with the weight of all the emotional magic she’s carrying, they shatter easily. Dorcas didn’t invite anyone to help. How could she, when everyone who mattered is dead?

Bellatrix meets her halfway across the lawn, and even though Bella’s a brilliant dueler, Dorcas is faster, stronger. Bellatrix is stunned quickly, but not quietly. She screams and howls for her Dark Lord, but Dorcas barely hears her. She’s too focused now, too close to avenging everyone she’s lost.

All of the sudden shes in the house, taking down people in masks, over and over, and over again. She walks from the entry way, to the kitchen, to the dining room. The blood splatters behind her, but it doesn’t matter. She keeps moving, keeps killing, or maiming. She hears yelling behind her, but it’s too distant, too far gone. She doesn’t stop.

She glances back at her feet. Oh, look at that—her boots are leaving bloody footprints.

She’s standing in front of Voldemort’s chair now. She’s just taken down Rodolphus Lestrange—he was there when Marlene died. She wasn’t sweet, Dorcas won’t lie about that, but god, she was funny. Dorcas hasn’t laughed since she’s been gone.

She has so many thoughts all of the sudden. Dorcas' hands hurts from all of her eratic movements, but shes so close to killing him. She steps over Rabastan Lestrange's body, did he just die? She has no idea.

Shes at his throne, she just needs to take one more pathetic loser down, and then shes free to die and kill him at the same damn time.

And there he is. She reaches the throne, and he’s sitting there, god she can see nostrils flaring.

But while shes been quick, fast, and quite impossible to beat. She hesitants, she may not know him anymore but she knows who he is. He was one of the first people she became friends with, he was the one who helped her cheat when she, rarely, didn't know the answer, he was one of the first people she came out to him and he said "Me too", he was the one who told her about his father, he was the one who told her of his crushes, his fears, his goals.

He was the one who showed her his sleve, he was the one she said "You're dead to me". Why couldnt he have worn a mask, but even if he did she knew she would recognize his eyes.

She mourned for Evan, she mourned for Regulus—so why is Barty different?

Because he chose it. He chose this! She knows Regulus didn’t have a choice, and Evan didn’t either. But Barty? He could have left, could have walked away from all this. But he didn’t.

And maybe that’s why she can’t forgive him. He had a choice.

But god, why does it still hurt so much?

She stands there, staring at him. She should push him out of the way. It’s better than hurting him more.

But she hesitates.

And that’s the moment that gets her killed.

Voldemort’s curse hits her before she even realizes what’s happening. Maybe it was the hesitation, that flicker of doubt about killing her old friend. Maybe it was the weight of the past crashing in all at once.

But it’s too late now.

So Dorcas Meadowes lies dead on the cold stone floor of Lestrange Manor.

And in the end, not wanting to kill her best friend was the thing that killed her.

Summary: Fletcher Collins is a high level S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. She is an incredibly skilled fighter, hacker, and has never missed a shot. The only thing she struggles with however, is people understanding what the hell she's saying. Set in 2020, Thanos never happened.

Fletchers POV

Walking out of the meeting room, I try to think what in the hell Fury is trying to do. I've been working under the wraps for S.H.I.E.L.D. trying to take down HYDRA for years now, and these Avengers are comin' in tryna steal the show. Whenever I find a base, I usually take it out with my own team but if theres hostages then I get Fury to leave it with the Avengers.

But now, after years of my time and dedication, i've been ordered, me, ordered, to work alongside them to take HYDRA down. Granted my team has lost people along the way, but we were doing just fine, I didn't need a goddam boy band of fuck-ups coming in tellin' me what to do.

"Agent Collins!", I hear the oh-so-righteous Captain from behind me, and judging by the many footsteps I hear, the other misfits aren't far behind.

I stop, hanging my head. After briefly contemplating my decisions in life, I turn around to face them, raising my eyebrow waiting for one of them to speak.

"Captain Steve Rogers, its a pleasure ma'am", he says, extending his hand for what I can only assume is a handshake and not something with less physical contact.

I glance down at his hand and back up at his face, he awkwardly brings his hand back to his side as he continues. "We'll be having a meeting to discuss future plans tomorrow, we'd love if you could join us and bring anything you have on HYDRA with you so we can all get on the same page." He finishes kindly with a sickly sweet smile.

I role my eyes although they couldn't see from behind my sunglasses. "No."

He looks slightly confused as he asks, "No? W-what do you mean 'no'"

"I mean exactly what I said Captain, no." I say plainly to the 'man with a plan', being sure to speak slower and dull down my accent so they can understand what i'm saying, "This is my mission, you work with me, not the other way around. There will be a meeting in the compound in room 4A2 at 8am exactly. If anyone's a minute late we reschedule. I will be giving you the information I believe you need, not everything, and I will be telling you about your next mission. Now Spangles, do you and your boy band need anything else?"

I finish my sentence and look towards the group, who are all staring at me wide eyed until Stark speaks up.

"Ok, am I the only one who understood none of that? I mean come on"

I scowl at the man, turning on my heel and walking away.

Avengers POV

"Damn, Cap got told", Sam mutters to himself.

"Are we actually going to do as she says?" Wanda questions hesitantly.

"I don't think we have a choice, she's the one who knows the most about HYDRA", the man in tights sighs.

"She seems like a massive asshole i'm gonna be honest", the changed Winter Solider says.

"Yeah and you were and still are a huge asshole before we got to know you, I think its best if we all do what she says, we can question it all later." the knock-off Robin Hood declares to the group.

"Is anyone else wondering how she knows so much about HYDRA? Fury said himself she used to be a top S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, maybe she was a part of HYDRA", the red head ex-spy claims.

The group ponders over her claim, thinking that maybe, she could be right.

The Next Day, Avengers Compound

Fletcher POV

I reorganise the files on the meeting table, all for the Avengers next mission. I glance down at my fathers watch on my right wrist.

7:56am.

If any of them are even a minute late then they'll be going into the mission blind. Honestly not my problem. Oh wait! Fury made it my problem. After all, i'll be leading the missions. I hear a knock on the door.

"Morning ma'am", the Captain greets with the same smile he had yesterday.

"Mornin', just call me Collins", I say the man.

"Oh, r-right sorry ma'- uhh Collins", he stutters, turning a slight pink shade and rubbing the back of his neck.

"Where's everyone else?", I question, finally looking up from the files.

"They'll be here now, well I hope anyway. I just wanted to see how you plan to do this?", he asks, glancing back at the door hoping his teammates will appear soon.

"You'll find out when everyone else is here Spangles, please take a seat." He nods, going to sit at the head of the table. "What are ya doin'?" He looks up me.

"Uhh, sitting down?", he says in a questioning tone.

"No i'm sittin' there, i'm runnin' the meeting", I claim in a bored tone, placing one file down and reaching for another.

"Oh uhh, right yeah sorry", he chuckles nervously.

Steve Rogers POV

I sit next to the head of the table, nervously fiddling with my fingers. After about a year or two out of the ice, I realised I never loved Peggy, not truly, it was more about someone giving me attention I had never received from a woman before. It was obsession. Nat has tried setting me up with women but it just never seemed right. I never knew what my type was, but for the first time since Peggy, i've found myself attracted to a woman. I didn't even think someone like Collins would ever interest me, but i've found myself wanting to get to know her more, wanting to work with her. She's gorgeous, smart, and clearly knows how to deal with people easily.

"You're starin'", she says breaking me out of my thoughts. I realised I had been. Watching as she analysed her work.

"N-no I wasn't, was just starin' into space", I mutter, embarrassed I had been caught and was such an awful liar. She looks up from her file and goes to say something, but a knock at the door interrupts her.

"Come in", she says in her strong yet angelic voice.

The rest of the Avengers walk in and sit down, my watch reads 07:58. I don't think i've ever been so glad to see them all, breaking the awkward tension beginning to form in the room.

"So, now that everyones here, we shall begin"

Ok, this is a hill i will die on, so i want to add my two cents

First let me preface this saying that not all stories can be spoiled. If the story doesn't have a narrative twist/mystery that recontextualizes the narrative you've already experienced it can't be spoiled. Jaws, Indiana Jones, the avengers, those cannot be spoiled bc while they have moment to moment surprises, they don't recontextualize the story. The sixth sense and every good murder mystery are stores that can be spoiled if you want an example of what I'm talking about.

Now that that's out of the way, i want to say that I understand wanting to avoid spoilers, beacuse they do rob you of an experience that you can't get back. I'm talking about the experience of watching the story for the first time, the surprise, that gathering and analysis of clues and the realization are fun and you can't get back to not knowing who is the father of Luke Skywalker.

BUT a spoiler can't ruin a good story, because a story that can be spoiled changes a lot on second viewing.

Think of this: you watch a murder mystery (i want to clarify that it has to be a good one), the most spoilable genre, you watch if the first time and have fun, you are surprised by the murderer and how they did it, truly a good story. So you watch it again, and this time you notice new things, you notice clues that where there since the beginning and it was so obvious how did i not notice?

Now let's say it maybe wasn't that good a story, depending on the competence of the team who made the thing your experience on first watch might be the same. But then you watch it a second time and wait this clue went nowhere? And the murderer came out of nowhere, there's no way they could have done that in the logic of the story! Maybe the story just falls flat the second time. Knowing that plot point did ruin the story, but that's because the story didn't have that many layers to begin with.

Now onto marvel movies, i don't think they're bad, but i also think the stories are mainly sustained on hype, and that's not a long lasting thing. Marvel mainly cares that you go to a theater and sit to watch the movie, they will later upload it to disney+, but they know that most people won't really watch it again so they don't bother adding the layers we talked about (if I can speculate, i think it's bc it requires a greater level of craft and that costs time, money and a level of caring about the stories, characters and audience that they don't bother with, especially now that they know for sure that won't really bring them more money). But also, they know that if you don't follow the universe closely and this is not your character you might just have someone tell you what happens and leave it at that (and you might not even do that because, let me tell you, people will look at you like you're grown a new head if you say you don't care about spoiles).

But hey theres a spoiler phobia going arround that makes some people just don't mention the movie arround you if you haven't seen it. Heck some people won't even tell you if it's good or not, so you have two options, you either miss out entirely or go see the damn movie, and you want to be able to talk to people right, you want to be part of the conversation and also you wouldn't want to make someone talk about it would you? Maybe a person sitting in this cafe hasn't seen the movie and you'll just spoil it for them, or someone's reading the comments and just stumbled on your Convo and now the movie is ruined! That would just make you the worst!

So maybe just go and watch the movie so you can share knowing looks with your friends for a week and then never think about it ever again, bc then you might find out that even if you kinda enjoyed it while you were in the cinema, maybe it just doesn't hold up to the hype the second time.

the "no spoiler culture", mainly perpetuated by the marvel cinematic universe, that pushes the idea that a story is only worth watching and telling if the audience knows absolutely nothing about it beforehand, has done irreparable damage to storytelling and how an audience interacts with the story. in this essay i will-

--this is gonna be a mess and out of order probably, not sorry.

--I got one hour of sleep but by god it was worth it

--ok I kind of wished they had kept the Stan Lee Marvel intro for this, that would have been really sweet

--I am SO glad I went to a midnight premiere with at least one other big fan (henceforth referred to as “K.” I didn’t get to go to a midnight or even opening weekend showing of IW and that sucked; the audience type really does make a difference.)

--K and I were so excited and nervous that we started grabbing each other’s hands during the freaking IMAX countdown. The movie hadn’t even started yet.

--Also, IMAX was cool in someways (it really did feel like I was in the spaceship at times) but it also weirdly disproportioned everyone’s bodies, a lot of the time it was like looking at a bunch of Luther’s from UA.

--Ok, Hawkeye losing his whole family? So damn sad. Also kind of took me out of the tragedy just a bit -  the whole “fifty percent” but Hawkeye is the only one of his family to not get dusted?

--Tony and Steve’s reunion was handled so well, like at first they are like “lets just get through this” (and the line “I lost the kid”; my heart cracked) but then they get to the real issue: Tony warned them of this, He and Steve split. And Steve wasn’t there when Tony needed him most. Both are responsible for their actions in CW, and neither are really to blame here, but they realize they could have done better.

--Ok I’m sorry but wasn’t Cassy like 7, maybe 8 in Wasp? It’s been five years why does she look like she’s 16 or 17 if not older? I legit thought it was her mother at first.

--Nat is doing so great trying to keep everything going. I love it, I love how she and Steve support each other, everything about this is good.

--Rhodey and Nebula were the surprise Brotp of this movie and I approve

--Ok let’s be real we all thought that was a doghouse and Tony and Pepper got a dog at first right?

--K and I nearly jumped out of our seats in excitement when we revisited that first Avengers 360 pan

--LOKI. (For a moment I really did think that him disappearing with the stone meant that he was going to be able to show up in future movies, but I was reminded later that the timestreams were fixed by Steve.)

--I really thought they stunt doubled Natalie Portman until we got up close, like damn they did a good job keeping that under wraps

--I spent this whole movie waiting for Harley to show up; I want you to know that

--Revisiting these points in the past was so nostalgic, K and I kept being like “ohhhhhh yesssss”

--watching Starlord’s dance from the outside was hilarious “so basically he’s an idiot” Rhodey is so done with everyone except Nat, Nebula and Tony

--OK the 2012 flashback was cool but it also just made me want an entire season of Avengers:Covert Ops because it was so fucking smooth

--For a moment, I got my details mixed up and thought that the date and place Tony mentioned to get the tesseract and Pym’s forumla was when Bucky killed his parents and guys I was terrified and ready at the same time.

--K and I could not stop moving around out of antsy anxiety the whole damn movie; good thing we were in the front

--We literally clutched each other’s arms when Thanos was beating the shit outta Steve because we really thought this was gonna be it for him and we were NOT READY

--Legit the moment Thor dropped his hammer I started muttering “Cap pick it up pick it up Cap Cap Cap pick it up” like a manic religious fanatic. K wasn’t bothered, but I felt bad for the guy on my left - until he started checking his phone every 5 minutes. Its 3 am dude, who the fuck is texting you

--I SCREAMED when Sam called. Thankfully, so did the rest of the theater

--K and I did not stop clapping for about ten minutes straight and my hands still hurt when I got home an hour later

--Steve: Avengers...

The whole damn theater: ASSEMBLE

--that scene though. We didn’t get the full 360 redo like I hoped for, but that aieral scan of EVERYONE was just. So amazing. Beautiful cinema. Those colors oh my god

--Look I clapped, exclaimed/shouted, and had my heart swell pretty much every single time the characters returned, it was an emotional mess. K cried. If my tear ducts weren’t removed by the Empire, I would have too

--PETER PARKER FINALLY GOT HIS HUG

--I’m vaguely aware of yelling “YES QUEEN” when Scarlet Witch showed up and kicked Thanos to Knowhere and back. It was either me or K. Or maybe both.  

--We went in a group of mostly women (in a theater of mostly guys) and we screamed SO LOUDLY at that badass woman warriors scene

--doesn’t make up for how angry I was that after killing Gamora, the Gaurdians’ one female (Mantis doesn’t really count for me yet, she just joined them in my head) they went and killed one of the few female superheroes, the sole female original avenger, and one of two females in this mission. I ranted about that under my breath for a long, long while

--I am going to need to rewatch that fight scene a good thousand more times because I just could NOT keep up with everything

--K yelled “ITS OVER ITS FUCKING OVER” when Captain Marvel showed up

--I AM IRON MAN *SNAP* look our theater rioted ok.

--look there really was a moment there where I whispered “wait...are they giving us a happy ending” and K was like “no way” and then they did the face close up and GOD DAMMIT

--Ok look I REALLY thought Tony was going to be safe! I was CONVINCED he would be safe! I was like “Ok, Steve is 100 percent going to die fighting” but I was SO SURE they wouldn’t kill off Tony. Maybe he would get really injured. He absolutely would retire afterwards, for good. But they wouldn’t kill him off. Not after they intwined him into the Spiderman movies, and as many other movies as they could. They built this franchise off of him. He was, if not everyone’s favorite, a top tier player. I was convinced Marvel wanted to keep him alive so that, if they were ever worried about a movie turn out, they could throw Tony in there for a few scenes. They wouldn’t kill him. Absolutely not. Steve was gonna die fighting. OH DAMN WAS I WRONG

--oh hell they did NOT make such a big deal about Harvey coming back just to throw him in at the funeral screw y’all

--Steve’s ending was so sweet but I do kind of wonder what Bucky is gonna do now. Stay in Wakanda? Partner with Sam? Oh damn I want a Bucky, Sam, and Tchalla team up movie, with Wanda popping in occasionally to be like “you idiots need a hand?”

--I’m devastated about Tony and Natasha, and I feel for Wanda, but honestly good call not bringing Vision back outta all the options; I truly even forgot about him till Wanda started going after Thanos.

--look we clapped so much for the original six but everyone stood up and cheered for RDJ (which, yes SJ/Natasha also deserved but the dude STARTED this franchise)

--This movie emotionally ruined me and I want to watch it six more times today.

Just thinking about that one scene in Captain America: The First Avenger when they come back that first time and Steve brought Bucky back from Hydra, when Steve and Peggy are talking or whatever. How Bucky was smiling when Steve was looking at him, and how Bucky's smile drops immediately when Steve looks away.

He already looks so broken in that moment, from how he just looks down blankly to the look in his eyes it's so upsetting. It doesn't help that the bruises on his face are exactly where we see the machine Hydra uses on him later connect with his face.

Whumptober Day 2: Nowhere to Run

Day 2 of Whumptober, wow I cant believe im doing this, these are probably the quickest and shortest stories ive ever written.

Tony knows theres a quote that he'd love to use right now. Something from an older movie, something about not cornering babies or something, but all his brain power is currently being used elsewhere.

Tony didnt like the other side of this. Not that he much liked being kidnapped either, but the other side of it sucked majorily. Especially when the people were kidnapped because of him. He thought being on a super hero team would keep things like this from happening. Sure he'd been kidnapped since the invasion (not that the team was aware of it anyway) but that he could handle, hes been saving himself since he was 5.

And of all his teammates, Bruce and the spy twins were not who he'd expect to be kidnapped. Sure Nat and Clint were human ish, but they were SPIES, and Bruce was the freakin HULK. It just didnt compute, and when did villians get smart enough to think of kidnapping teamates to get him to do things!?

And they were even smart enough to put him in such a time crunch they had zero time to plan anything. Every tick of the clock (mental clock as it was) was another foot of the walls closing in on him, an extra shot of adrenline that had his heart beating painfully against the reactor and his lungs constricting tighter and tighter.

His half an hour was almost up, the live feed of his teammates and the count down was only making him nervous but he couldnt bear to have it out of his sight. The device in front of him was rudimentary at best compared to what he could do with a bit more time, but it would work, the reactor was the important part anyway. Always the freakin reactor.

He puts it in a case, like those cliche movies, and books it to the meet up, Jarvis playing the livefeed for him and a soothing voice in his ear. He should have left a note or something, Cap would be mad hes sure, Pepper and Rhodey furious. But that would be someone elses problem, he only had one thing on his mind.

Keep the spies from being shot and a drugged up Bruce being launched attached to a rocket. (He didnt know what the man could survive and didnt want to test it.)

"JARVIS, how they doin?" He focus' on directions and birds and things that pass, to ensure he can actually make it to the rendevu.

"Alive sir. Annoyed in Ms. Romanoffs case, Bored in Mr. Bartons. I'm afraid Dr. Banner has been given another dose, and is incoherant still."

"Any chance they've found a way out yet?"

"...It does not seem so sir."

Tony curses vehemently, glancing at his teammates. Nat and Clint both wear iron prisoner gauntlets, to keep their hands unusable, chained to the bars of their cages, spread to further imobile them, legs tied together- and of course guns ready to shoot when the timer hits zero. Bruce- as mentioned before- is collared with several needles attached to it, and bound to a honest to god rocket.

Whoever was stupid enough to take them, would be dead. Tony would make sure of that, ledger be damned. He might of only had half an hour, but hes Tony Stark, and no one messes with his team.

The meet up is too close to a warehouse to be a coincidence, one of their many mistakes. A mere four people are waiting for him, and hes a little insulted, if not for a previously mentioned dead mans switch, Tony would blow them all up here and now.

"JARVIS, you know what to do. Remember, priority is the others, and if things go wrong, you know where my updated will is."

"...Yes sir." JARVIS was against it, but Tony was too determined to be deterred.

He lands, steps out of his armor, and feels JARVIS' departure, though his eyes stay trained on the people before him.

"Welcome Stark, bring what we asked?" The man he'd garnered was in charge over their interactions.

"In the case. But I want that timer shut off, they're safe first before I hand over anything."

"Are you really in the position to negotiate?"

"They die, and not only do you not get this thing, but you'll end up dead too. I have a record im sure you've reffered to."

This causes pause at least, they all fidget and have a quiet conversation. The count down continues in Tonys mind, but he carefully puts out nonchalance, free hand in his pocket as he leans back just slightly. Never show weakness.

"Fine." A laptop in one of the others hands, some quick typing, and the screen is flipped to show him the disarmed timer, guns, and rocket.

Now he has the tech guy, the leader, and the muscle. He moves forward finally, a pace between uncaring and not quite rude. He opens the case when hes a few feet away, watches the mans face light up as he takes the device and inspects it. The case is put aside, Tony knows what comes next, and while they think it is the last step, that there will be no further confrontation, they will be sorely mistaken. Tony wonders if he'll get to see their faces when they realize they were outsmarted by the man they underestimated.

"Now," mischief swims in his unhinged eyes as he looks to Tony, "show me how to connect the Reactor, how to start it."

Tony moves his shirt aside, heart beating harshly, as he twists

And pulls.

Its easy enough to connect the two things, even simpler to show the man how to opperate it.

"And how do I know this thing works?"

Tony makes a show of stumbling, moving away from the group and towards the nearest tree, leaning on it heavily.

"Try it out for all I care. Just let my teammates go."

He sneers, turing to consult with his group, all the better as they huddle close. They are newbs, they may have gotten the drop on 3 of the Avengers, but that was their only accomplishment. Tony could almost feel sorry for them, if he didnt detest them so.

His heart flutters, chest spasma, his knees give out, breath harder to pull in now. Still he watches, watches as the tech gestures to the trees, how they make a space and point their 'weapon', he cant quite see their faces, at least not all of them, but the one muscle guys he can see is enough.

The wave of energy that comes with the activation of the device is intense enough to bend the branches of the trees and blow up a large cloud of durt, but from Tonys hiding spot he still gets to peak at the destruction left behind. No fallen or burnt forest, no crater of disentegrated anything. Just four bodies, a mere smoking crisp of what they once were.

His disguised reactor was nothing more than a self distructing decoy. It could keep him alive for a time, even power the suit, but one wrong move? And you get this. A sure way to solve situations such as this, one made in a fit of paranoia, and one he was glad for. Even if it now means his slow death as shrapnel inches ever closer to his heart.

He slumps now, his part of the plan completed. Stares up at the sky as best he can, thinking of things left undone and red ledgers and the ones left behind. Its not quite how he thought he'd go out, no blaze of battle glory, or assasination attempt. Instead it will be the slow one taken from him all those years ago, in the hot desert.

His eyes fall closed at some point, waves of pain wracking his body, curled on his side in hopes to relieve, of course its in vain though, he can just picture his heart now-whats left of it- being torn to shreds.

Did he say goodbye to his bots? To JARVIS?

Why is the air so thin? Why cant he move? Is he trapped? What happened??

He must be trapped, hes dying, no he needs to get out, but why? Where is everyone? Why whywhywhywhyw-

Theres noise... so far away. Is he underground? Caged and buried!? HELP, JARVIS please-

"ONY! Listen, you gotta calm down! The new arc is almost here I promise! Just stay with me!"

The warehouse was so close, was it to taunt him with these visions? To feed him false hope in a never ending world of a fantasy life where he may actually have people that care? Jokes on them, he has long since accepted... that he is not the one anyone WANTS.

"Come on man, just try and breathe. Jar will be here any minute, you got us out, we're here now."

Well hes heard of two faced but this is ridiculous. Hes pretty sure fusing Clint and Bruce had not been a threat, but there they are, two heads in a pair of shoulders. Theres one head theres two, three fourfivesixse- where was he going with this?

"We're gonna have a talk about this Kotenok, this self sacrificing theme our team has going is going to turn me grey."

"Yerstll perty."

"Not the point, I dont like seeing you so close to death."

Something is running through his hair, gentle and soothing, he hopes its not snakes, that would suck.

"I can see JARVIS now buckethead, just a little longer."

He shudders and curls tighter as his chest tightens like a vice, splintering whatevers between its jaw. His eyes slip closed to panicked shouts, and his visions fade.

...

"I swear Tony if you ever do something like this again, I'll... sic Pepper, Rhodey, Happy and JARVIS on you!" Steve paces by the window unable to be still.

"That threat doesnt exactly-"

"Anthony! I have brought the biggest bear of well wishes I could find! I was told slaughtering a live one in your honor was frowned upon so I hope this will do!" The bears bigger than he is and Tony will treasure it forever.

"Thanks big-"

"Tony! You're Alive!" Bruce bursts through the door, disheiveled and out of breath.

"Yes Brucie bear, and youre coher-"

"They told me what you did, we're setting up a talk about how much you mean to us as soon as youre well enough to leave. You cant keep doing this, the Hulk and I forbid it."

"Forbid-!?"

"Potts just picked Rhodes up from the airport, just to warn you." Natasha slinks in and perches on the edge of his bed.

"Airport?? Why the hell did I even give him a s-"

"I found balloons with our faces on them! Our FACES!" Clint has enough balloons to float a small dog, and they fill the ceiling like the bear overfills the visitors couch.

"Yes, I had to paten them-"

"YOU KNEW!?"

"ANTHONY STARK YOU ARE IN SO MUCH TROUBLE!"

"Can I finish one sentence?"

Pepper fumes as she and Rhodey rush in,

"No!"

"Im gonna wrap you in bubble wrap and keep you in a padded wagon if you keep trying to kill me like this."

"I believe I was keeping people from being killed. Minus... the guys that got killed but they were lame."

"How many times am I gonna have to tell you you matter to us before you actually get it?" Pepper squeezes his hand, tight and trembling, tears in her eyes that make his already tender heart squeeze.

"I'm sorry, I didnt have much time... I couldnt watch anyone die. I couldnt stand by when I could do something.... you guys matter to me, no matter how frustrating you are, so I did what I could. But I am sorry for worrying you all."

"We'll have to remind you more that your safety and wellbeing are just as important to us брат, (omg guys its pronounced Brat but means brother I cant so true) but thank you, for saving us." Natashas hand is warm on his ankle, but her words are warmer.

"Aye, I wish to have as much time as I'm able with you all, I am honored to both fight and exist with you." He bows his head, fist over his heart.

"Theres only one of you Tony, and we would like to keep him around." Bruce gives a small smile, eyes shining with truth.

"I was wrong in the hellicarrier, and Im sorry for it, Im glad to call you a friend." Steve has stopped pacing, standing tall and speaking every word with meaning and warmth.

"You're the reason we were able to become a family dude, stick around and enjoy it would ya." Clint pats his other ankle with a smirk, thats both kind and nervous.

"We'll tell ya everyday if we have to Tones." Rhodey ruffles his hair and Tonys eyes well up against his will. He blinks frantically, refusing to let a single one fall, before offering a hesitant smile.

"I cant promise I'll stop scaring you guys, I'll still protect you guys with my all, but I'll try to be better about the process." He pauses to breathe and swallow the lump in his throat, "and thanks... it means a lot."

The fight had been rough but not as rough as you were feeling in the moment. You had gotten serverly hurt and had been in the medbay for about a week now and you had a longer road ahead. There had been an explosion and instead of turning to run away you had ran toward one of your team members that had been to distracted to realize what was going on, you had successfully gotten him shoved out of the way but you had taken the brunt of the blast.

Now you were laying here staring at the celing trying to stay distracted as Bruce and Tony looked at your completely shaddered knee and the burns up your leg. Fingers crossed that they would have good news soon.

"Well as of right now kid your out of commission." Tony said helping you sit back up.

"Meaning?" You pulled one of the pillows down so that you could sit up without being uncomfortable.

"Meaning right now, the way it all looks, your gonna be stuck in the bed until it fully heals and after wards theres really no way to tell if your going to be able to work in the field again." Burce said looking at the xrays again. "And your gonna have to have surgery in order to put all the right pieces back in the right places, but we cant really do that until some of the burns heal or at least start to heal. Its gonna be a long drawn out process unfortunately." He sighed setting the charts back down and walking over to you.

"Fucking hell! You mean I'm gonna be pushing paper work? I might as well go work in a damn office with four white walls and a poster that says 'hang in there, its almost Friday'." You placed your head in your hands.

"Hey! At least our paper work is more exciting than just running numbers." Tony said placing a hand on your back. He had been like a fsther to you, taking you in when you didnt have anywhere else to turn except the streets. Your own family had abandoned you at a young age and you had been leaning toward a dark path until Tony. "Besides with your expertise you dont have to sit behind a desk, your fingers arent blown off, you can still hack into stuff I'm sure."

"Tony we had a deal when I moved in. No hacking but you would train me and I could actually do good. Now look at me."

"I said no hacking the good guys, and if I remember correctly you were the one jumping close to the bomb not away from. I hate to be this way y/n but the only one to blame is yourself on this one."

"He would have been worst off than I am if not killed. I think I did the right thing. Besides you would have done the same thing if you had been closer." You sighed.

"Honey the diffrence with that is I have a supersuit, you wear a skin tight, spandex one peice, that I'm not a fan of." He laughted. Bruce had went to go get you some more pain killers to shoot into your IV.

"Tony if I were you I would shut up. Your starting to sound like you might actually love me, might even say your starting to act like a dad." You laughed pulling him into a hug.

"Shut it kid, cant let the others know I have a soft spot for the hacker orphan kid i took in all those years ago now can I." He said kissing the top of your head. "Do you need anything else before the drugs kick in and you pass out again?"

"Yes, can you please bring me my phone charger, laptop, and that really fluffy blanket that you and Pep got for me for Christmas."

"Dont ask to much of me now."

"I wouldnt be asking if you would just let me stay in my room. I hate it down here. I wanna be were the people are." You were starting to get loopy from whatever Bruce had given you.

"Ok little mermaid, get some rest I'll get your stuff." He laughed walking out the door letting you fall into a restless sleep.

You didnt know how long you hade been asleep but you woke up with a groan trying to sit up so you could atleast stretch your back from laying in one spot for to long. You flopped back down dramatically with a sigh. You could sense someine else in the room with you, you always knew when he was around.

"You dont have to hide in the shadows Loki. Your more than welcome to keep me company, you should know that by now." You smiled as the prince walked over and sat in the chair beside you. You could tell he hadnt been sleeping, his hair was fixed as always but his clothes looked worst for wear. He had on a plain black shirt and a pair of gray sweat pants, both of with had wrinkles in them either from tossing and turning or from not being changed in a few days.

"Whats wrong? And dont pull that 'nothing is wrong dear. I'm absolutly fine.' Bullshit. You look horrible." You reatched out to grab his hand. What you and Loki had was diffrent. You didnt just see his as a friend, he didnt just see you as that either though. You had spent many nights sitting up with the silver tounge man many nights laying on the couch watching movies, reading, talking about each of your pasts. He knew more about you than even Tony did.

"I'm still currently trying to wrap my head around why you pushed me out of the way and took the blow when you had a chance of dying from it. You shouldnt have been so thick headed my dear." He took your hand and raised it to his lips kissing the top of your hand.

"Loki." You sighed rolling your head to look back up at the celing. "You would have been hurt alot wordt than I am now, that blast could have killed you."

"I am a god y/n, that blast wouldnt have caused me nearly as much damage as it did you." His voice raised slightly.

"Thats what you think. You think that because you are "immortal" that you can take anything thats thrown at you. That no one really cares about you, that you wouldnt be missed? So why not try to take a blow from a bomb? My god your so stupid sometimes."

"I know I can. Norns y/n I've jumped into space, been brain washed, tried to take over New York, gotten smashed around by the Hulk. I was raised with Thor, he doesnt really go easy on a person. What I'm saying is I dont understand why you, a mear midguardian, would sacrifice themselves for me. If anything would have happened-"

"Nothing did happen though. I'm fine-"

"You have steel sticking from your leg, theres no telling when or even if you'll be able to walk again, and there are highly server burns that will leave scares. You cannot sit there and tell me that you are fine."

"Your right it does suck that I'm jot gonna be able to pull off shorts or a bikini anymore."

"This isnt a joke y/n. You almost died!" He finally yelled.

"And i would do it a thousand times over if that ment saving your damn ass again!" You shouted back.

"Why though?! Why me y/n? I've done horrible things, killed people! My life is meaningless." Tears had sprang to his eyes as he looked away.

"Because I love you God damn it!" You stopped suddenly your jaw dropping at the admission that you hadnt ment for him to hear. His head jerked back to you.

"What?" Shock was all over his face as he stood to walk closer to you. "What did you just say?"

"Because I love you Loki Odinson. Because if you were to die I dont think I would be able to go on living. Because even if you see all the bad things that you've done I can look pass that amd see all the good that you are doing." You reached up placing a hand on his cheek and wiping away a tear.

"I love you too y/n. I have since the day I met you. The girl that didnt care what anyone said when she spent time with me. The girl that can see through every face i put on. I love you so much darling." He placed his hand on your face and leaning down gently kissing your lips.

It felt like you thought it always should you felt electricity run through your body and the two of you connected. It was like getting a breath after not being able to for so long. He pulled away smiling at you.

"What do we tell the others?" He asked laying on with bed with you being easy with your leg. He placed his arm around your middle and pulled you as close as he could.

"I honestly dont care what we tell them. They can figure it out themseves for all I care." You smiled lacing your fingers with his, you yawned placing your head on his shoulder closing your eyes.

"Sleep now my Dove, I will be here when you wake." He felt your gentle breath slow as you fell asleep, the rhythm you of your breath lulling him into his own sleep.

Tony and Bruce walked in the next morning stopping dead at the sight in front of them. You and Loki were still cuddled on the small bed sleeping peacefully.

"Should we wake them up?" Bruce asked looking at Tony.

"Na, let them sleep. Dont want to let them know that we know." Tony saod grabbing Bruce's arm and turning to walk back out of the door.

once race and al were watching a horror movie with a group of friends and race was scared out of his mind so al used his *epic gamer senses* and told race what tactics they use to make the scene feel scarier than it is and predicting the jump scares so he starts to relax a little. now theres a photo on twitter of race practically shaking hiding in albert while al is pointing at the screen and explaining how they changed the lighting to convey a sense of unease

al has a lip scar because he got in a fist fight with someone (al won but thats irrelevant) and his fans s w o o n e d when they saw it

in retaliation for race posting a video of him playing the keyboard, al posts one of race singing and everyone loses their minds

once when playing among us they were imposters together and they won before a body even got reported

then the round after that race vented in front of someone and got ejected before anyone was killed

ok so,,,, everyone prepare for chandler struggling to explain her thoughts

-y e s 👏 so yk how one person will sit on the couch or something with their legs spread and someone else will sit between their legs and lean on them? al’s sitting on the floor against the couch, race is leaning back on him while al whispers to him about all the horror movie tricks. katherine, aka the one in their group with any sense of adorable romance, was the one to take and post the picture. she later posted a second picture of them STILL sitting like that, rambling about the avengers half asleep like 4 hours later because the movie ended but they were comfortable and race had finally stopped shaking.

- he’s got in plenty of fistfights (his entire friend group was loud gay theater kids and the delanceys exist, enough said) but barely any of them a c t u a l l y left any scars. the one he DOES have on his lip is on the right side of his face and literally runs across both of his lips. the story is, basically, some asshat said something to race al didn’t like, said asshat had a bottle in his hand he decided to smash, and the smashing of the bottle sent glass shards flying everyone and one of them caught al. albert then proceeded to kick the bottle of the guys hand and punch him in the face. (good job al <3) someone asked him in chat while he was streaming slight tipsy (read: drunk) and he did a very dramatic retelling of the story while race cackled in the background. and yes, everyone swooned. (suckers for a knight in shining armor AND for boys with scars, all of them)

- he does, particularly a video of race in the kitchen singing in italian while he cooks. he doesn’t even really know what songs he’s singing, just that it’s what his mom did what he was really little and it makes al melt EVERY TIME so he posted it and all the fans lost their damn minds

- yes, because they muted their mics on discord and albert told race exactly what to do. they’re always partners anyway, so the tactic was basically just double kill til the game ends. the strategy was flawless and everyone is scared of them when they both get imposter cause they’ve never lost a game that way

-and then race gets imposter next round, but with jack, and promptly vents in front of jojo cause he has no idea what he’s doing

- yessss i can talk about this all day. so albert did elite competitive gymnastics from age 4-15, roughly, and the only reason he stopped was because of a knee injury because of a bad landing during competition. he played hockey for all of middle school and high school, except sophomore year when he was dealing with that pesky gymnastics injury, and was team captain his senior year. now he plays rec hockey (kinda? he’s on the ice a couple times a week but he doesn’t always get to actually play) and does kickboxing, but also is just a crossfit guy and is at some sort of gym almost daily. (sidenote, sometimes he’ll streaming after kickboxing and still look slightly bruised and banged up, and everyone - including race - finds it like,,,,, unreasonably attractive.

OK so this one I think is a perfect start to the vampire list. This one is absolutely fantastic. So it’s about Bucky and the reader being in a pre-establish relationship, when suddenly some freaky stuff starts happening very close to home. So Buckys a Vampire, and the reader doesn’t know it. But the reader is terrified of vampires. Obviously that causes a little problem. I just really liked how unique of a storyline this was, I love just how genuine the fear was and the emotions they had were. It constantly kept me on the edge of my seat because I was wondering what was gonna happen. I am absolutely in love with protective bucky so you know that this has it lol. And honestly I just really loved how one it was well written, but to reply with something that I had never read before. And I don’t wanna spoil it or anything, but it was just a real nailbiter. Definitely recommend. 

All My Friends Are Heathens by @sebseyesandbuckysthighs ***

OK, so I think this one was the first vampire Bucky story that I ever read, and it’s absolutely fantastic. So this one is about Bucky being a vampire, and he’s amongst the avengers who are all their own sort of “monster“. And the reader comes to visit them, and Bucky is just absolutely drawn to her, and unfortunately she is human. I think my favorite thing about this story is just how well drawn out each character is, I was absolutely invested in not only their relationship growing, but the whole storyline in general. I was obsessed in learning about what the different monsters were, what their little thing was that they did. And I really loved how absolutely cocky and mysterious Bucky was. This one is smutty, but nothings wrong with that LOL. This is just a really good, really head turning story. A lot of twists in this

All right, now this one is really something. So this one was incredibly interesting. It’s about Bucky in the reader being in a pre-established relationship, and he promised to turn her when she turns 28, but in the meantime he makes her move to 10 different places so that way she can get used a whole bunch of different things that she would have to win when she does actually become a vampire. I really liked how mysteries this one is, just how sweet they are together. The fact that her 10th Pl. is what it is, for the reason it is, is something that is incredibly sweet to me.  anyways, I loved seeing all of the little snippets in to how they met, and everything like that. but I really honestly just love how sort of vague it is? If that makes sense? Like there are so many possibilities that your mind is running for miles after you read it. It’s one of those stories that you just keep thinking about, you keep thinking about what the other eight places were, what’s going to happen in the future it’s really awesome. The sequel is even wilder lol.

So this one is a short yet sexy little Drabble. It’s technically a vampire Bucky, though it’s not necessarily like a main focus of the story. But I really liked it so I’m going to include it anyway. This one is just you know really cute. It shows the fun little feisty side to them, it’s pretty sexy, some dirty talk that’s like....damn lol. But I really just like stories that show couples are kind of so obsessed with each other, and so in love with each other, that they’re able to have fun in that way no matter where they are. I really liked it

So this one is really cool, this one is about vampire Bucky and succubus reader. It is a compilation of little drabbles, and it’s really interesting. So I love seeing the dynamic between the two of them, just how interesting it is to see how they deal with their lifestyles, and having to do it together. And stuff happens that they have to navigate how they’re going to deal with it. I don’t wanna spoil it but it something that is very interesting to see. It’s also kinda smutty so that’s nice hahaha. Just a really cute, really interesting story

Ohhhhhh man! Now this one! This one is like a TV series I swear, like vampire diaries but a lot better. So this one is about vampire Bucky and a witch reader. And it is so freaking good, and so interesting. So currently is on hiatus, but I thought it was awesome enough to put it in there anyways. Because it doesn’t matter how much of it there is, what there is is amazing. It is like so nailbiting, there’s so many twists and turns and angst, but it’s also incredibly cute. i’ve never read a story like this, and I’m not sure if anybody else could do it like this. And I love how the soulmate idea is interwoven in there, I’m a sucker for soulmates. Honestly it’s like every trope that I love is somehow in this story, but it’s not overwhelming, it’s just really well done. In the world that’s created is so immersive and awesome

All right, I really like this one too. I think my favorite part about this one is the fact that it relates Canon Bucky to vampire but you. It talks about how Hydra made him a vampire and the torture that he went through because he was a vampire. I really like how it didn’t completely get rid of his story, it wasn’t fully an AU, and that’s so interesting and cool to me man. And I also thought it was interesting seeing all the small little snippet into their relationship. It’s interesting to see EV juxtaposition of how she willingly gives up everything for him, but he got that stuff stolen from hydra. It’s just a really interesting story

​Alright so this one was amazing. This one is about vampire Bucky, and it’s honestly pretty sad, at the beginning he had basically resigned himself to live a life in the cold. However he needs the reader who somehow can make him feel warm. And that was honestly the cutest part of the story, just how much he loved feeling warm, and she made him feel warm in so many different ways both physically and emotionally and it was so soft. But don’t let that trick you into thinking that this is just a soft story, there are absolutely some crazy things happening in the story. And I absolutely love Tony in this, I think it’s a great representation of him. Such a really awesome story

Men of the Moon by @hellomissmabel

So this one is really cool. It is a vampire diaries a you. It’s also kind of a Stucky x reader but not a Stucky fic if that makes sense? Like Bucky x reader and Steve x reader but no throuple. Obviously, that would be weird because they’re brothers lol. Anyways, now that I just rambled through that. I really love this. I think that all of the characters fit into the vampire diaries characters very well. I’ve honestly never liked vampire diaries, but this made me really like it LOL. I think it was done so much better than the actual show was, why couldn’t the show be like this. anyways, it was just so interesting to read the dynamic between the three characters, and everyone else really. I also loved just how invade the ending was, it’s like I can imagine so many different things happening after it and that’s always something that’s really nice with the story when I can kind of finish it myself.

Hungry Eyes by @lenavonschweetz ***

OHHHHHH this one is SPICY lol. Bucky is one cocky son of a gun. So this one is about vampire Bucky, and for the betterment of the town, him and the reader make a pact that he would feed off of her to avoid suspicion. Except for he would only feed on her wrist because anything else is too intimate. Well that went out the drain real fast. This one was honestly kind of just straight smut lol, but there’s some plot in there that’s really awesome. There’s some awesome tropes, friends to lovers, cocky Bucky, vampire Bucky, SMUT. It all comes together to form a really interesting really well done story. I really liked it  

In the Dark by @waiting4inspiration ***

Oh man, so this one is really interesting too. So this one is about vampire Bucky and werewolf reader, and the reader is an arranged marriage with werewolf Steve. There is a sort of creature war between vampires and werewolves, and that leads to a bunch of problems. But surprise surprise, the reader falls in love with her sworn enemy. And that’s awesome, I love those tropes. I think it’s Really incredible just how well she balances the two worlds, it’s way better than twilight I’ll tell you that right now LOL. But I just really love the dynamic between everybody, there’s angst, there’s fluff, there’s never a time when you’re bored. It’s just left and write something that either leaves you on your toes you’re feeling everything at once. It’s really great. It’s not finished yet but what it’s there is amazing.  

Special: For Heavens Sake by @221bshrlocked​ ***

wow OK, talk about unique. So this one is a vampire reader story, but it was so cool I have to include it. So obviously it’s vampire story obviously, but it also an ABO story, like whaaaaat. So ABO is admittedly the main aspect of a story, but I just thought it was absolutely incredible how well they combined the two tropes. I loved how oh much fuck he was actively trying to be with her, I really love the dynamic between them. I really loved how raw and genuine emotions are, I can’t imagine how scared them both must have been during certain parts of the story, I’m not gonna spoil it but there were definitely some parts where I was on the edge of my seat wondering what was gonna happen because it was so interesting. There was so much happening in the story and it was just awesome.

whats the deal...well i mean i know whats the deal, having ur leading man be some kinda rich or powerful guy is common for being a popular fantasy and also a very good deus ex machina if you run into a roadblock in the story (fix ur plothole with money) and as to why specifically brown leading men in particular are never just normal rich guys and are all fantastical princes of far off lands, well, insert image of Orientalism by Edward W Said here, but like..... damn man at this point the sheer amount of indian princes is getting out of hand...i roll my eyes into orbit when i see ambiguously brown prince of fictional mystical foreign country #34874329843 but im not so sure its that much better when they choose a real country..... a while ago i was mildly roasting the mysterious-brown-guys-named-zero trope (i SWEAR its a THING i’ve seen it at LEAST thrice) before but like when i talked about how i care about my brown kings this isnt what i meant!!!

and i mean dont get me wrong i still want my brown leading men in absurd leading man tropes, im hoping this is less of a problem now but i remember when i was a lot younger i would like play some english original romance games and all the white boys were allowed to be absurd in fun ways like im a super handsome doctor and im a super genius and i know how to beat up 10 men with my pinkie finger and my parents are dead so im going to avenge them and im a great cook but im scared of the dark and my favourite food is popcorn like yknow you could make a random generator outta that and it rules but then the dudes of colour would be relegated to normal guy whos kinda nice and his route is rushed and unrelated to whatever crazy plot is going on..... the lady options (both ladies of colour and otherwise, although i also noticed a lot of things were especially dismissive of the women of colour) had the same problem.....im not sure if this is a universal take but if im reading a piece of romance media marketed towards women and girls 80% of the time i want something ridiculous and fun..... your brown leading man can be a mountain biking vampire witch from the future if you just try................

WandaVision Theory

Okay so this contains some spoilers (mostly specculation really) from wanda vision so... spoilers below cut.

We have all seen the casting for Spiderman 3 & Doctor strange 2.... It includes people like: Andrew Garfield (spiderman) Tobey Maguire (Spiderman) Xochitl Gomez (America Chavez) Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool) Tom Hiddleston (Loki) Among others.... lots of universes being mixed here guys. So I have a theory... Blame my friend for this thing being birthed she had to listen to this as it came out. Peter/Pietro (since xmen pietro is called peter, but wanda knows his as pietro) maximoff is Loki, last we saw loki he had the tesseract and was fleeing, loki is trying to find out the state of the awvengers post end game, and yeah loki likes to fuck with thor & in the comics he lovveeesss just winding people up (God of mischief ffs), so he is trying to find out what the fuck is going on, he is curious about wanda's level of powers (like she is one of the most powerful mcu characters, hes gunna be curious), wanda as we know has a town hostage and is controlling everything, this is similar to avenegrs where loki wanted to rule earth, so hes seeing if she could be of use to him/try figure out a way to get his end goal. End of wanda vision season 1 - wanda looses complete control, she snaps. She breaks the multi verse because she has been believing this pietro is her pietro but with a different face... she finds out it is loki in pietros body which causes her to loose total control and snap a rift in the multi verse OR sword cause her so much stress, vision is questionign everything/realises what wanda did (Sees the footage maybe?) or she has to watch him die again and wanda is so torn over by emotion that she looses control, pietro/loki then realises that oh fuck this is about to go down and wanda uses her powers to try control more and either knocks pietro loki back into loki for or loki shifts just before to do a reveal, he may even try and fix this and help wanda because he knows intense powers and notice she is going insane????? But this ends in her bringing in all the spidermen into the MCU. Bringing deadpool with em. Bringing america chavez with them (She lives in a paralel universe and thats where she got her powers so wanda drags her into MCU because hey, she snapped). Doc strange 2 happens which is about the multi verse. Strange appears at end of wanda vision kinda like "Oh no...." like he's seeing what is about to happen and sees wanda is about to cause he doesnt see this coming,  So doc strange 2 is now begining wanda has lost control and merged all theses universes into one - sony,fox,the new characters universe etc etc etc are now all in the MCU universe there is many spider men now (Like into the spider verse) kidna like that level of how it happens they just got ripped into this reality. In spider man 3 this is also playing a part because all the spidermen are still here (Showing this could be a long winded issue/they cant get back to their universe because wanda doesnt know how she did it, doesnt want to do it/cant do it again) Back to doc strange 3 - this movie will be directly dealing with the immediate backlash of this, the many spidermen, deadpool, america chavez all appearing, strange realising what has happened, trying to fix this, loki also there because he doesnt even know whats happened but DAMN is he interested because THIS level of power.... thats interesting to him. Loki's disney+ series happens after the multi verse of madness/during it (like loki's show is bought up in it like "lokis fucking president?!?!?!" like thats another thing thats gone wrong from wanda's melt down and destroying the multi verse, and another thing for strange to to and do damage control on. wanda cant fix this, shes now gone fully off rails, if she watches vision die twice she wont be coming back from that we know. so strange is also trying to help her on how to use her powers as she never reallllly has had training, strange might know people who can help her deal with this insane amount of power. Strange cant fix this alone he needs wanda to try and fix this, and the issue could be a permenant one ( i recon it will be permenant and all wwhat phase 4 & 5 will be about) Doctor strange 2 sees them going between thesee multi verse's they have discovered (maybe strqange & wanda, maybe strange & wong, maybe wanda and someone else who knows... but they are trying to find out how far this damage has gone End of doctor strange is them realising this isnt a quick fix, the world has gone insane as there is all these new ones, ("WHY ARE THERE 3 SPIDER MEN!" - JJJ shouts (cause hey he was in the tobey mcguire spidermen ffs we get him with this package too) spider man 3 then happens & tom holland (The spider men will be refered to by their actors names) see's that um theres another spider man??? what the??? he finds him and they all find out they are the same spider man. This movie plays out similary to into the spiderverse but they dont all go at the end of it because this is a long winded issue. But... now we have america chavez, shes just been bumbling round the MCU being a hero cause she's here.... Monica as you rememebr from wanda vision has her internal sequencing rewritten each time she goes through the hex, this gives her powers cause she has gone through the hex so much at this stage in wanda vision.... So Monica = Photon America Chavez Cassie = Stature Kate bishop = Hawkeye Tom holland = Spiderman How did kate get here and Cassie? KATE So clint stepped down, hawkeye disney+ seems to be like fractions, clints training kate (maybe his family left after end game because jfc clint is probs a wreck, or clint didnt stop so hsi wife left.... maybe they live in iowa happily who knows) Clint was going solo for a while in newyork, when he met this other hawkeye (Hey maybe kate got dragged through the multi verse or maybe she was just a great archer rich kid in newyork who saw hawkeye had fucked off after the blip (maybe she was working during the blip, but towards the end? in comics she took hawkeye mantle while clint was off beign a depressed noodle and he then found out there was 2 hawkeyes and confronted ehr and agreed to train her so maybe somehting simialr to this is what happens in hawkeye) But anyway Clints training kate in new york and yeah shes good. CASSIE Scott after end game & Hope continue being antman and the wasp, but cassie eventually takes over the suit from them (Maybe something happens in antman 3 quantamania that means neither scott or hope can use the suits any more because it will tear them apart, like hank cant use the suits because it takes too much of a toll on his body now and he wouldnt surive it really...) so cassie has taken over the suits and is now operating under the code name stature. This then begins the next arc for the avengers now they have got people powered up, and atleast 1 person from this destruction of the multi verse (America chavez) but we may have more that are discovered over the course of phase 4 that were bought through with the multi verse. So, where does this go??? The young avengers is the next big arc.... Maybe wanda (&peter maximoff? not sure how that would work as young piettro (evan peters one) was from the 80s or something in xmen so is an adult not a kid like he is in wanda vision, which adds to my this isnt pietro but loki thing) But maybe wanda is leading them, maybe not. But the multi verse cant be fixed so they have these heroes now and the avengers kinda died after end game cause tony died and steve fucked off. Sam helps train but hes off with bucky alot too doing a buddy up thing together, but as sam is the new cap he also heads up this young avengers kinda as a mentor for them. Now... right now your pronbs thinking "Morgan stark though" Morgan has a suit... but morgan is still even in 2030 (hawkeye is 2025...) morgan would only be 7..... so she isnt really old enough.... But who else had an iron man suit in the comics? who may of got dragged through the multi verse? Enter riri williams aka iron heart. 5. Oh no, that’s bad by @andyl394 | Bucky Barnes x Fem!Reader You’re a college student, you’re mad angry, Bucky ruins your paper, that’s not good is it? I read through this 20-part series like there was NO TOMORROW and god DAMN. We love hilarious social media AUs but this one really killed me. I always love Bucky who is soft and shy in fics but the Bucky in this fic was a LITTLE SHIT and i had so much ANGST. Endgame: How it should have ended - SPOILERS

OK, I’ve already posted on here about Endgame and my thoughts, but I still can’t shake that nagging feeling about the movie overall. There was just something...incomplete about it. 

I don’t know if it was how many people died, or who died, or what, but there was still something about it that was bugging me. Which lead to a train of thought that ended with this:  What if they had killed off all of the original avengers. 

Gone full circle and killed off the ones we started this saga with. We were halfway there already - Nat died (and I am still upset with how they chose to do that) Tony died, Steve is going to die soon. Barton’s character will be treated with how the MCU normally does - aka, never be mentioned again - and the Hulk’s storyline is wrapped up. The only one they hinted at using agin will be Thor in Guardians anyway. So why not take that extra step, and have all six of the original avengers die to save the world? It completes the saga, as well as gives us an emotional payoff that we were expecting. I don’t hate happy endings, I didn’t go in to this looking for realism or wanting a bunch of people to die. But when something is built up so much, and then only two characters actually die, when we have so much emotion going into this film, then ending it in such a way leaves me feeling strangely unfulfilled. The stakes given to us by the MCU were just too high - they’ve been telling us for literal years that many people were going to die in this film, that 3 of the avengers wouldn’t be coming back. In reality, it was 2 and Vision (who I literally forgot about until Wanda mentioned him) and the others are faded into retirement. 

Or, alternatively, really upped the ante of the “full saga/full circle” and had Nat, Barton, Hulk, Steve and Thor all die during their last stand/final battle/attempt to save the others. Maybe they all share in the power of the infinity gauntlet and it’s too much. Maybe they are the ones to stand in the way of Thanos as Tony tries to get the gauntlet. There’s dozens of ways this could go. 

This would be a mirror of Tony’s vision from Ultron, but this time, it isn’t blamed on Tony. Maybe Tony even tries to stop them from doing this, because he knows how it ends, but his teammates insist. Insist on sacrificing themselves to give him the time to stop Thanos/Save the world with the gauntlet. Bonus points if Steve’s last words are “Tony...you saved us” - the opposite of “you could have stopped this” from Ultron. 

Tony is too injured/now has a kid to think about and does retire, fully, except maybe mentoring from afar. He is the only original Avenger to survive. Maybe he helps shape the new avengers, just as Steve and Nat were doing post-Ultron, by building them new tech and helping SHIELD when asked. Maybe he goes into a coma at the end of ENDGAME and his outcome/general health is unknown until a later movie (and wouldn’t THAT be an awesome scene in Avengers 5?) 

We still have our big payoff. We still have the epic battle, the reunions between characters, and several heroes still standing to continue the MCU. We just have a bigger price to pay, which I think is fitting considering the type of hype and advertising they gave this movie. 

Also Natasha Romanov deserves a better death scene.

I might have to take a recap on matches who are trans for right now,

I still have a lot to learn about what my true identity is for right now.

Because I really can't stick to just one label...

Aye, that's just me. And dating apps are starting to feel like a job, there's too many people matching with me and trying to remember names is getting a lot to handle when you're on 3 different apps and about 20 conversations going at the same time. And still 99 people waiting on you to swipe right on them, on each one. And plus I'm not as picky about looks as I was before, so I'm mostly reading just bios, analyzing photos to see what could be their interests in, and making sure I'm not being too passive on red flags when people talk to you.

I will admit, I still swipe right on them if they're trans and I'm attracted to them. I just know me, I'd rather date someone who was fully transitioned or somebody who is still on the nonbinary, before part. Only because I know me.

I had to watch someone I had already grown into getting to know and getting attached to, and then when I finally got comfortable with them for over a yr, they changed that drastically during those 3months we were separate and I had no idea about it.....I'm not sure if I could watch it happen before my eyes. Cause then I would have to miss the way they were before, because of my attraction to their naturally mixed feminine/masculine looking features and actions. So, ideally I wouldn't have changed anything about them.

I don't wanna grow attached to a voice or a face or a body that will no longer be there tomorrow. I know that person before is still in there, but it's different when you're romantically attracted to them, been intimate with them vs when you're just a friend. My experience shocked and scared my paranoia and fear of change. I remember crying when my dad started growing white and grey hairs in his beard. Cause I never want my dad to change, cause I've grown up with him being this strong man that always was there for me, held me, made me feel safe, calmed me down when I had my moments, and tucked me in when I wanted to feel comfortable. He showed me that he always loved me, always cared about me, and that he was never gonna leave me. As if he's never gonna die during my time on this earth. Seeing his greyishly, white hairs, I thought death and that my daddy will soon no longer be the fun, happy, strong dad that I've always been with as his princess. And that's kind of what vibe this particular person was to me, even though they weren't as smart, strong, or always there for me....cause most of the time my nights alone cause they couldn't or didn't know I needed them to be there fo r me like that to feel loved or just to feel wanted. Cause I couldn't speak up.

But now, that they has turned into a he. I feel like its brutally denying me to chance to not only say goodbye to them as they, but I would have to get reacquainted to HE, with a totally different name, maybe different personality, maybe different sexuality, and I won't know if I like the new evolved version of this person. The fear of the unknown is high for me. Especially when there's a 40% rate of fems that decided to change their sexual orientation after taking testosterone. I 'm possessive about my partners and I would hate to know that after seeing this person physically change and go through so much emotional/mental changes that one day they decide "Hey, I think I like men now, I wanna give this a shot. Could we make this work?"

I would tell Him, to go right ahead and go on a date with that coworker or guy on Tinder/Grinder. But I'm not gonna be here when you come home. Because to me that's some bullshit. And I've known this person well enough to know, that they don't mind using other people to meet their sexual needs that I can't possibly give them due to my actual gender and my body as such. I wouldn't want to share my partner, nor watch them get fucked by another man...because I'm not a man, im a woman...theres a huuuuuugggeeee difference.

And if it ever came to that point 3 yrs later and He became someone I didn't know anymore, because of the hormones changing how they feel as a man, dysphoria gone....I get it, you've hated yourself for years and now you're happy in the dream body you always asked for. But, I would be scared to lose you, to whoever else you decide to open up to in your selections. Cause you're that type to leave to please you and not make it work. I don't want somebody who changes their mind all the time about who they wanna be, who else do they wanna smash, and who else they can flirt with. That's cheater mentality.

And I'm sorry trans community that I'm basing my recent experience with someone as the example for the rest of you. Because I know there are some ftm's who've already changed and stayed with their partners. I just don't know if I could trust this process, knowing the effects, the research on whether or not they become completely detached to women or become bisexual... I can't.

And I'm thankful for the ftm's that have been posting youtube videos and tiktoks for viewers like me who are curious about the possible cons, and physical or emotional changes they've overcome. I was shocked the first time I ever watched a bandaged ftm, who finally unrevealed their scars from top surgery. I've always been preparing myself for this. Because I knew one day, that this cute, fluffy, soft skinned, white latino looking, but really just mixed mocha, nonbinary person was gonna be...changed over a year or so. I thought I could prepare for it, so that when it does happen it doesn't hurt as much to watch to them in pain if the bleeding from the scars are irritating them or if one day they're super cranky and obnoxious for what seems to be no reason. Or if one day they end up feeling they dont need anybody like Zanthos, with the 4 avenger rings lol.

But I'm too damn fucking sensitive. I was born this way. I've always prepared myself with the worst and the best information, that way when it does happen, the tidal wave of emotions from the reaction, doesn't end up torching my soul or blowing me out the water. Cause I am gay. I adore women, men, and when I met this person I loved them as an in-betweener as nonbinary. They are so brutally harsh, twisted, manipulative, jealous, and possesive. But I've always liked that they had these emotions inside of them that they hold back because they don't wanna seem so soft, always hiding this feminine quality about them because ideally, they're pretty looking, gorgeous eyes that can turn black cold like obsidian, and those fucking cheeks and cat nose. I've only seen the slight hips, but I didn't mind it. And they've always hid their body away even when we would try to have sex. I knew the dysphoria was there, cause again I prepared myself to be patient and kind.

So, I'm glad they're turning a new leaf to make themselves feel more confident about being recognized in society as a full, grown ass man. I'm pretty sure HE, is gonna get cocky af, cause that's just the way he was when they were they.

I know it's selfish of me to say, but I'm afraid of what will happen down the line years later. But that's just me being afraid. If He ends up not liking me anymore, I know it won't be the end of the world and I walked away at the right time when I did. Because this person is currently separated from me, and I'm still insecure about that part too. Not knowing how they are during this transition for what may become years or not...I hope HE is doing okay and not piercing everyone with their new, world domination, ego.

I just don't wanna imagine them get fucked by a guy....sorry that's just me. And will their buttery ass kisses, still be as sweet anymore?

Will I be ok with HE having chest hair?

Will I love the sound of their new voice or will I just hate it, while still missing the old, brodie, sexy, slightly feminine voice?

Especially when they used to go all soft and cuddly on me over the phone, it was soooo cuteeee. I miss our phone and text conversations.

Will they grow into another relationship with somebody else because they started to become unattached and unattracted to my body, my tits, my hips, my vagina even....just because they completely changed their identity?

And I still a woman? I've only thought about wearing a binder a couple of times, and yes, I do watch ftm and trans porn because I did like the fantasy of being intimate with someone who had a bigger clit size or just having a big clit of my own that felt like a dick.

I'm willing to admit that. Because let's be honest, boys get away with so much more shit as a male, compared to us females.

I wish I could grow a dick overnight and nobody not know I'm still a chick! Lol, but I still don't like the all over hair body growth and I still want my vagina back. Like a rental suit with an actual dick and no tits. Those are the onllyyyyyyyyy things I've thought about, but would never admit out loud.
