I didn’t expect for the day to end like this, but I carried myself up to the shared bedroom with Wanda and immediately slumped down onto the bed. Looking up to the ceiling, my thoughts soon leave my head, leaving me completely empty. 

One moment, I was zoning out while lying on the bed. And then I feel this dreadful, oh-so-familiar tightening sensation in my chest. A wave of emotions crashes over me. One hand clutches my chest as I bolt to my feet towards the bathroom. I rummaged through the cabinet, pulling out all types of bottles till I found the one I’m looking for. It looked like a regular bottle of pain-killers, except it wasn’t. Twisting the cap open, the glint of light reflecting on the razors made them look heavenly. 

I carefully observed through the pack of razors, trying to find the cleanest one. Satisfied with the one I chose, I tugged up my sleeve, holding the weapon firmly as I pressed it down on my skin. 

At first, there was no blood, but soon enough it was dripping down my arm. One swipe turned into many, it made me want, no, need to do even more. Gritting my teeth, I let out a hiss of pain, yet somehow also enjoyed the sting.

Pain is good. It made me feel alive. Even for a second, it brought me back to reality. 

When the world felt like it was going to crush me, or when my brain aches so much it makes me want to tear it apart from the whirlpool of emotions. 

When everything became just too much. 

It wasn’t long till my head started spinning, sliding down the wall sluggishly. I could feel my eyes opening and closing, followed by my body giving up on me not long after.

Panic flows through Wanda’s veins. She rushed up to the bedroom, a glimpse of light catching the corner of her eye. 

“Y/N?” she said, her voice slightly muffled through the door. Hearing no response made her even more anxious. Wanda twisted the knob, turning out for it to be locked. She maximizes her strength on pushing the door open, attempting to forcely unlock it. 

The lock clicked.

A broken gasp leaves Wanda’s lips once your arms are finally bared in front of her. 

“Sweetheart?” Wanda said. Rushing to your side, shaking your body as each shake became more aggreisve. 

Wake up.

Y/N, wake up.

Wake up! 

Tears streaming down her cheeks as she kept shouting your name over and over. 

The last thing you could hear were her muffled cries: Don’t leave me. I can’t loose you. You’re going to be okay. Hold on, please, I still need you.

My eyes fluttered open, catching a quick glance of the bright light above me. I suddenly felt a pair of hands connecting with mines. I tilted my head, instantly greeted by a pair of green orbs. But, the color green seems dull, and there were these black stains under her eyes. She looks exhausted.

I didn’t remember most parts of what happened till I saw big bandages covering up almost my whole arms. No matter how much I try to resist, I can’t help to look at it as the memories flooded back into my mind.

Wanda held my arms gently, as if the slighest bit of pressure would make my body break. 

Still, the feeling of the gauze pads pressing onto my skin made me wince. 

“I’m sorry,” was all I managed to get out, trying to avoid her concerned gaze, moving to stare at the floor instead. 

“Hey, no, it’s okay. It’s not your fault sweets, you’re okay.” the firmness in her voice made you finally look up to her. It wasn’t harsh, she wasn’t judging me or trying to make you feel bad about what you’ve done. She was worried, she was trying to show you that being in pain, isn’t something you should be sorry for. 

Still, it made me feel guilty. How could I put her through this when she seems to still care?

Unable to handle the storm brewing in me, my eyes stinging with tears, which only pissed me off more. As much as it killed me to let Wanda see me break, I couldn’t help it. 

“Oh, honey. I’m sorry I didn’t notice. I promise, I’ll get you all the help you need. ” cooed the ginger. “For now, it’s best for you to rest, kay?”

As much as I want to close my eyes, I hesitate. There is a worry still lingering in the back of my mind, and I really, really need to get it off my chest. 

“Wands? You-- you won’t leave me, right?” 

The arms around me tighten as she let out a soft tone at the question. “Never,” she promises. “I’ll always be here for you, sweetheart. I love you so, so much and I want you to know that.”

i think a lot of marvel shows/movies are trying to have strong female characters with internal conflicts (not accepting themselves, etc.) but they're mostly doing it horribly. the characters are so flat and static. just because these characters are female doesn't mean disliking them makes someone sexist or against feminism. the truth is just that these characters are badly written.

captain marvel and wanda maximoff are both incredibly powerful characters. but wanda maximoff is a better and more likable character because her character is written much better. the only thing captain marvel needed to do to maximize her power was to "accept herself for who she was and discover herself" and that type of cliche. but wanda? sure, she trained her powers. but the peak of her power came with a good and valid (?) reason. with the grief of losing her parent, her brother, and then her love, wanda went a little insane. her emotions and anger towards the world made her more powerful, which makes sense and isn't the annoying "all you need to do is discover yourself" or "you need to let go of something" or "you're the one keeping yourself back."

you can clearly see wanda's character development throughout the movies and what led her to her state in multiverse of madness. she changes a lot (for better and worse lol). and wanda is clearly not invincible either. even though she has incredibly strong magic, she's physically (and mentally) weak. and there's not really anything wrong with that. she has weaknesses and flaws, which is what a character is supposed to have.

but what weakness does captain marvel have? what weakness does she-hulk have? jennifer walters transformed and immediately had control of her alto ago, when bruce took years to finally master the control after so much hard work.

the writers give these female character everything, and the only thing keeping them from their "true potential" is that they aren't accepting themselves. heroes work for their powers. yes, they don't choose to receive the powers, but in the end they do earn them. they would not be as powerful as they are now without working for it. but these new characters are not working for anything at all. and there are so many other writing flaws with these female characters. i appreciate that we're trying to be more diverse, but do it right. don't make a character's whole personality being a woman. that's not the point.

Tell me about one of your OCs. Please.

Bro you're really gonna do this to me....okay, prepare for a long-ass response:

So my first ever OC was a vampire, because yes, I was that kid. Her full name is Evangeline Erin Corãn.

Her mother was a vampire, and her father was a human wizard. (I haven't quite figured out names for them, but oh well, we'll get there eventually) Her brother, Albus ended up taking after his father; soon becoming a world renowned sorcerer (and recognized military expert once he joined in the Hybrid war)

A little backstory on each of the parents:

Mother belonged to a family of 12. There was a mother, father, 8 sisters, and 2 brothers. In this vampire community, males were used as breeders; once they sired a litter of children, they were used as hunting practice for the little ones, and eventually killed off. If any boys were born, they would be kept around until they were mature enough to reproduce. Another tradition within this community was the "Battle of thy Brethren" which stated that, only 1 daughter could remain per generation - only 1 girl could carry the family's mantle. So Evangeline's mother had to compete against the 8 other girls within her family in order to survive.

It kind of broke her, not having a father, her mother being a terrible person, and then having to murder her other sisters just so she could survive. After her win, she ran away, not wanting to accept what she had done. While on the run, she met Evangeline's father, who was an absolute romantic and eventually won over her heart. She got pregnant - thought it was only with Evangeline, went back to her mother in hopes that her mother would accept her husband and allow traditions to change, mother ignored her until she gave birth,

lookie there, it's a boy and a girl!

Her mother tried to take away Albus- she was furious, mother threatened to kill husband, so she killed mother.

Ending result?: Trauma

Now onto the Father!:

Dad lived pretty normal life. He was a doorstep baby and was raised by 2 witches. He learned very early on that family doesn't have to be by blood, it's about love and those who can look beyond what you appear to be, and make you feel safe.

He was a very curious child and took a large interest in what his mother's were. So they taught him all they knew and watched him as he grew from a little boy, learning little bits of magic, into a masterful wizard who would use his newfound gifts to help spread joy around the world.

(One of the things he would do while courting Evangeline's mom, was constantly summoning bouquets of flowers from thin air to give to her. Bro had rizz.)

He met Evangeline's mom on his way to another town. He was in the middle of his exploration arc.

(Bro just wanted to explore the world and bam, hit with the power of love.)

Fast forward to Evangeline and Albus as young adults:

Evangeline and her mother do not have a good relationship, mainly because her mother was constantly pushing her to be as strong as possible, fearing that the past would come back to haunt them. Evangeline was jealous of her brother, feeling like he had more freedom to do whatever he wanted, while she had to become what she referred to as a "backup bodyguard." Outside of that, it was a loving family unit. Her father continued to use his magic for funny little pranks that he would involve both Evangeline and Albus in, regardless of how old they got.

(Adorable little side note: The dad would refer to Evangeline as his "little angel" The dad definitely had everyone's hearts - including mine)

Unfortunately I'm a terrible person, so here comes the angst-

A military team in charge of monitoring supernatural entities decided that the vampire community Evangeline's mother had belonged to was too dangerous to be allowed to continue on and decided to hunt down and kill everyone associated with them.

Evangeline and her family are surrounded, they all ready themselves to fight-

(I always think of the dad as Wanda Maximoff in this moment lmao)

Fight breaks out, Evangeline gets into the thick of it, and in this moment thanks her mother for preparing her. Dad ends up getting captured, uses magic to catch himself on fire, severely damaging the 3 soldiers who had ahold of him. Another soldier shoots him in the head, killing him immediately. The mother goes berserk, wiping out more than half of the soldiers, before a barrage of bullets finally puts her down. Albus and Evangeline both finish up the rest of the soldiers and rush over to their mother who is struggling to breathe, but will still survive.

Unfortunately, a second squad shows up as backup. Evangeline and Albus are told to run. Mother gets finished off and Evangeline picks up her brother and takes off. They both go into hiding for a few years.

Albus finally decides to finish his studying and goes back to his father's mage college. He buries himself in the work, aiming to be the strongest he can.

Evangeline blamed herself for not being strong enough, for not being a good enough weapon to save her parents. So she pushed herself to be harder, better, faster, stronger. After she felt she was ready, she set off to take down every single soldier involved in her parents death.

And that's my baby. My very first!

Into the Anthill pt 24 - Giant-Man Returns

It’s been more than 12 years since Hank last changed size or wore his Yellowjacket costume, so seeing him suit up as Giant-Man and go big again was a refreshing change. I’m not a fan of the new costume, but for many characters there was simply no escaping the belts-and-pouches maximalism of the early 90’s.

It’s just a shame he never got to fight alongside the West Coast Avengers as Giant-Man.

Iron Man vol 1 #285-286

Beetle, Spymaster, and Whiplash attacked Stark Enterprises on the day of Tony’s funeral, so Rhodey suited up as Iron Man to fight them. The West Coast Avengers showed up to help and assumed he had stolen the armor (since they knew it couldn’t be Tony in there). Hank shrank him down to catch him, but the villains got in the way so he shrank them all down and put them in a plastic bag. The fight was ended by the sound of a gunshot when Kathy Dare shot herself nearby, believing she was responsible for Tony’s death.

Avengers West Coast vol 2 #90-91

Ultron escaped from The Vault to steal the remnants of his old bodies from Hank’s lab. Parts in tow, Ultron also took Mockingbird when he left. He brought her to Hank’s lab in Death Valley and brainwashed him into service, forcing him to use Bobbi’s brain patterns as the base for his new bride: Alkhema the War Toy. After the Avengers tried and failed to stop them at Hank’s lab, Ultron and Alkhema headed south to a military weapons-storage facility to begin their extermination of humanity. While Ultron planned to wipe them out quickly in a show of force, Alkhema argued that it would be more enjoyable to draw it out and kill them slowly over time. Hank and Vision magnetized an atomic bomb and stuck them to it, launching it into space to detonate it with them.

Avengers vol 1 #363, 366-367

While the Avengers fought a rogue kree cell called The Gatherers, Hank and Bill Foster were called in for two reasons: to examine Swordsman’s body in stasis and to determine whether or not Sersi had gone insane from Mahd Wy'ry. He remained there until the Avengers learned that the kree had planted a Nega-Bomb on Earth, which prompted him to suit up as Giant-Man again despite the risk to his health. Sersi was able to neutralize the bomb by changing its structure at the subatomic level, reducing it’s power enough to just destroy the island rather than the whole planet. After, Vision came to Hank hoping for insight into human emotion since the two of them are family. He asked if Hank ever missed being married to Jan, which he admitted to readily. When asked the same question of Wanda, Vision’s answer was no.

Avengers West Coast Annual vol 1 #8

Ultron brainwashed the West Coast Avengers into guarding the seismic activators he’d scattered around the world. A bystander who witnessed this grabbed Mockingbird’s Avengers ID card to tell Iron Man. Tony recruited some help of his own and split them up, sending Hank and Wasp to fight Scarlet Witch and Hawkeye in Alaska. Since Tony was operating his Iron Man armor remotely he was able to resist Ultron’s mesmeric ray during the final confrontation and free his allies from his control. In the end, Alkhema betrayed Ultron because eradicating all the humans at once would spoil her fun.

Nick Fury gathered both Avengers teams together to order them to stay out of Genosha. Because it was not a U.N. Member State, the Avengers could not legally interfere no matter what atrocities occured there. Unfortunately, Fabian Cortez had kidnapped Crystal’s daughter Luna so a team of Avengers disobeyed the U.N. and went anyway. Hank was among the remaining Avengers who headed to the U.N. headquarters to negotiate their options.

He was also there for Ororo right after she parted with T'Challa to serve her people, the mutants. It is only so interesting to see that Logan stood by her side, a supportive friend and a lover, while she was in a post-Wakandan era of finding her own purpose yet again.

Nature is a constant companion. Take a winter cabin, woods, and fresh air. Is it not liberating to see these two together?

Emma is a complex character, a femme fatale. With a difficult past to reconcile with, she is one of the prime examples of a villain turning into a main character. Scott, on the other hand, seemingly clings to her corrupted nature at first. Next, he makes an active choice to be with Emma and to build his own life regardless of who is woman by his side. As the result, the two formed the most interesting power couple/fight couple.

They never lost their spark on the page. I also absolutely LOVE the "two leaders being together" dynamic. Usually, in a relationship, one of the parties assumes a submissive role. Here, Scemma gives me the air to breathe - a hope that two powerful personalities can in fact thrive together.

Summary: You're in love with your high school English teacher Wanda but at graduation she’s like I love you too but we can’t so then five years pass and you see her at a cafe with another red headed woman.

They say high school is a time of self-discovery, forming relationships that could last a lifetime, and navigating the endless possibilities of first experiences. For you, high school was wrapped up in the lunches you shared with Mrs.Wanda Maximoff, your 

12th-grade English teacher.

The unusual friendship started with a shared love for classic literature and a mutual understanding of feeling out of place. Mrs. Maximoff had a way of making Shakespeare's complicated content relatable and understandable by intertwining them with life lessons that resonated with you. 

She was different from other teachers. She was patient, helped you with your homework when you couldn't understand the difference between dependent and independent clauses, listened more than she spoke. When she did speak, her words were thoughtful and impactful, often leaving you to think long and hard after class had ended.

Your lunch sessions together started by accident, really. 

On a particularly busy day, when the crowded hallways were more overwhelming than usual, your anxiety was on the brink of turning into a full-blown panic attack. You found refuge in her classroom. Mrs. Maximoff was there, her eyes scanning over a copy of Donna Tartt's "The Secret History." She looked up, saw your distressed state, and, without a word, brought you into her embrace. 

The smell of her expensive perfume didn't burn your nose like the smell of Bath and Body Works, Axe cologne, and body odor in the hallways usually did. 

She calms you down using the softest voice you've ever heard. 

"You're doing so well, darling. Now tell me, what are three things you can smell?" 

"Your perfume,"  you answered. The strong feminine scent overwhelmed your senses in the best way possible. 

"Oh yeah, it does smell pretty good, doesn't it? You're doing so well for me, sweet girl." 

When you were finally calm, she shared her lunch with you. While eating, we talked about everything but schoolwork, music, movies, and favorite books and authors. It was the first time you truly felt seen and heard. 

These lunches became a part of your routine. Every day, you'd sit in her classroom during lunch hour, the chaos of the school melting away as we engage ourselves in conversation about anything and everything. 

There was a silent agreement to keep these lunches between us, our little secret.  

However, as weeks turned into months, your feelings toward Mrs. Maximoff began to change. It was initially subtle, a flutter of the heart when she smiled, a longing to be near her more than our lunches and class time allowed. 

When you realized these feelings you panicked. You knew that they were wrong but just couldn't help yourself. The tabooness of a student having romantic feelings for their teacher was probably the most exciting part about it. 

You fought with your conscience on a daily basis, constantly reminding yourself of the boundaries that should not be crossed, the rules that you both would be breaking, and how she could lose her job. But your heart didn't care. You wanted her, and you were determined to figure out if she wanted you as well. 

As spring transitioned into summer, your feelings continued to grow. Graduation was approaching, and you had made up your mind to express the feelings you had for Mrs. Maximoff on that day.

Graduation day was filled with excitement as students threw their graduation caps and rushed to their loved ones with their diplomas, but you were only interested in finding Mrs. Maximoff. You spotted her talking with someone's parents among the crowd of excited students. You began making your way toward her. The closer you got to her, the more your eyes met. She stopped talking to the parents and turned all her attention to you. Mrs. Maximoff reached out her hands to hold yours while whispering in your ear, 

"I'm so proud of you."  

"Thank you, Wanda," you uttered softly, the sound of her name sweet on your lips. 

When you look back at her face, you see her nose scrunch up the way it always does when she's blushing.With your heart beating out of your chest, you thought now would be as good a time as ever to proclaim your love to her. 

"Hey, Wanda, I need to tell you something," she can tell in your tone of voice that it's serious."

"Whatever it is, you can tell me," she reassures you with a concerned look in her eyes.

"This year has been amazing, the best year in school I've ever had, and I have you to thank for it. I think about that day when you saved me from the hallways all the time, and it was the best day of my life because I met you. As I got to know you, you became more than my 12th-grade English teacher, more than Mrs. Maximoff. I got to know Wanda, and it has been my biggest joy. I guess what I'm trying to say is. I love you, Wanda Maximoff." 

You finish your declaration with tears in your eyes, but Wanda's devastating look turns tears of joy and relief into tears of sadness.

"I love you too," she whispered back, her voice carrying a mixture of sorrow, excitement, and apprehension. "But you're about to start a new chapter of your life. College is not just about studying; it's also about experiencing new things, and I don't want to be the thing holding you back from doing that. I'm ten years older than you. I've had my fun, and now it's time for you to have yours, but please know that I enjoyed our time together just as much, if not more, than you did. Maybe if the circumstances were different, then we could have made this work, but we're just in different places in our lives right now."

Your heart sank. 

Though you knew she was right, you didn't want to hear that. The logical part of you agreed with her, but your heart didn't care. You longed to be with her.

"Okay, um, thank you. Bye," you mumbled tearfully while walking away. You could hear her call out for you, but you didn't have it in you to turn back. Embarrassed and  heartbroken, you left the graduation stadium, ready to experience all the "new things." She said you would hopefully find it. 

That was five years ago. 

Now, at your college graduation with a Master's in library science. All the memories from high school just came flooding back into your mind. You never stopped thinking about Wanda after that day. Every time you would sit by yourself in the campus cafe, you would often think about all the lunches the two of you shared together. 

You had received an offer to work in your high school's library after college, which made you ecstatic. You've always loved your high school's library. It's the best one you've ever visited. 

However, you're concerned about whether Wanda still works there. In the past five years, you haven't tried to look for or talk to her at all. 

You rented an apartment that would be closer to the school when it started in August. You decided to stop at the coffee shop where you would get your hot pumpkin spice latte, even in the summer months. You remembered when you would occasionally bring Wanda one as well. 

When you walked in you heard the familiar bell that would ring anytime someone walked in or out. After you order your drink you settle at a table near the window loving the view it offers. As you take in the scenery you hear a familiar laugh. That couldn't possibly be- You thought as you turned around. 

Your eyes met a sight that took your breath away. 

There was Wanda looking as gorgeous as ever just like she was five years ago. Her hair color hadn't changed; it was the auburn color of red you adored, even her laughter that was echoing throughout the cafe was the same. Across from her sat another redheaded woman, their fingers laced together, sharing a moment of what looked to be pure love and happiness. 

The sight filled you with mixed emotions. You were happy that she was happy, but you couldn't help but feel envy bubbling up inside you. That should be me. 

As you stood up to leave not even caring about how sweet the pumpkin spice flavor on your tongue would be. You hear her laughter subsided. Wanda's gaze wandered and locked with yours. For a brief moment, time stood still, and memories rushed back. 

A smile, warm and understanding, on her lips as she gave a small wave. You go to wave back, but you're paralyzed. Unable to move or breathe. The only thing that brings you back is the sound of your name being called. “Y/n…Pumpkin spice latte hot?" The barista called out. 

"Y- yes, that's me." You replied quickly, grabbing your coffee and practically running out of there. 

You couldn't believe you just saw her again and in the midst of self-patronizing for not waving back and standing there like a deer in headlights. You had one thought.
