So, i have been thinking. Now that you've watched some of Gosling's movies, is Ken still your fave or did any other Gosling character take a stronger hold?

That’s a really good question actually! Thank you for asking!

Sooooo while I can say I’ve enjoyed every performance of his I’ve seen so far, there’s two other characters that have joined Ken in the ranks of my faves.

I’m basing this off of the fact I think about them quite a lot, have watched these movies more than once, and have divulged in more media based on them and their worlds.

So besides Ken, my favorites are Officer K and Court Gentry/Sierra Six.

Officer K because he’s a replicant which means he’s “not human” but more like a bio-engineered slave: created for a job which is to kill “his kind that have gone rogue”, treated poorly by humans, has so few possessions, and basically questions what it means to be human during the course of this movie. The concept completely fascinates me, and K just breaks my heart. He’s one of those I want to protect wrap in bubble wrap and a blanket and tuck away from mean people and reassure love him and hug him and tell him I think he’s just as human as I am.

Court Gentry/Sierra Six because he is the most unlucky, luckiest man I’ve ever seen in my life. I watched the Netflix movie four times in one week then discovered the movie was based on a book series and I’m currently in the 3rd book. He’s a skilled, formidable, intelligent lovable loser with a good moral compass for someone in his career field, especially in the books, and he goes through so much and is so alone. I root for him in all he does.

I've dealt with self-loathing lately so i may have an idea of feeling to be one's own fault, but please know it's not true. I know it's hard to see it, but they're just fake thoughts, and they have no space for importance in our lives.

You are valuable, no matter what you do. You're a fun, kind and loved person, and none of that was your fault, some people just may not deserve your kindness, but please remember that. It's NOT your fault.

Whales, hands down. The things I’ve heard about dolphins are actually quite awful, I won’t get into it but I think whales haven’t done as much… stuff. I also just really like whales, they’re super cool!
