Heyo!

I'm looking for a fic where Tony and the avengers (not all of them but definitely cap, widow and i think rhodey) go on a mission but while out the jet takes damage and they lose contact with the tower.

Peter was rebuilding Jarvis for a birthday present, and when the jet lost contact, he freaked out and got Jarvis to work early to find Tony. By the time the jet is back in range, Jarvis has been searching, and Tony has just gotten comes back up. There's a super cute reunion at the end.

It was a short ficlet no more that 30k words but don't take my word on that.

If you could find it, I'd be super appreciative! I've been looking for jt for the better part of 2 or 3 years now! Thank you so much! <3

Reasons why I love it: Aaaah, this fic is so sad! I've always thought that the movies really gloss over Tony's loss of JARVIS, so I'm glad that we have fanfiction to work through that trauma. And this fic does an absolutely amazing job of that. I love it, and I bet you will too, so I hope you give it a shot!

Looking for a fic I read that I forgot to bookmark. It was on AO3, featured Peter, Tony, and Rhodey primarily. Peter's not sure what to give the others for Christmas. “Thoughts, Coulson?” Fury asked, finger tapping idly on Barton’s file.

“He’s dangerous. He has trust issues that we may not be able to breach, he will not like working with others, he will lie to us about his motivations every chance he gets and, most likely, be successful every time.” Coulson’s gaze drifted back to the empty chair Barton had chosen earlier, boxed in the corner yet protected on as many sides as possible. “It won’t be easy, but if we can win his loyalty he has the potential to be the asset we’re looking for.”

Fury agreed, though neither of them would ever dream that they already had Barton’s loyalty, or that the price it cost was so steep.
