all i can imagine is megatronus haunting the absolute slag out of megatron. he is TORMENTING the other with every free chance he gets because you DONT JUST STEAL SOMEONE'S COG YOU ABSOLUTE CRETIN and at this point with everything megatron has done he's completely vindicated in annoying the bolts off of that mech

i'm really torn because as much as i fucking adore the idea of megatronus banging ghost pots and pans from the other side in order to keep megatron awake and miserable all night, i can also see him just. not wanting to nor being able to talk with megatron at all.

i mentioned it here but in my au the primes' connection to the bots with their cogs depends a lot on how accepting they are of the bond they form with them.

prima has the strongest bond with optimus, both because of the matrix and because they just. connect really well. prima is just genuinely delighted with their new baby brother and that made it really easy for them to bond even before OP got the matrix. afterwards prima can pretty much tell what optimus is feeling at all times and viceversa.

micronus and bee have the next strongest bond, with them getting along very easily and kinda just vibing together. it helps that bee is worryingly okay with hearing disembodied voices. like. primus kid this makes things easier but also are you okay?? but their strong bond does make it easier for micronus to follow bee around even when he's pretty far from OP and he can get a good idea of what bee is feeling or even thinking sometimes.

alchemist and elita have a bit of a harder time connecting, because elita does find hearing voices in her head a little eerie and alchemist doesn't want to push her if she's not comfortable. but he likes her and as she gets more used to the idea of having a ghost following her around it gets easier for them to talk and connect with one another. alchemist can follow elita only to a point tho and his awareness of her gets limited the farther away she is from OP.

and then there's megatronus and megatron's bond which is. almost non-existent. it's better than it was with sentinel but that's the extent of it. sometimes megatronus will get echos of feelings but it's really rare and the longer the war goes on the more uncommon it becomes. he knows the strategically sound thing to do would be to accept his connection with megatron to at least get some intel from him or attempt to persuade him to change his mind but. he can't bring himself to. and after a certain amount of time i think even if he tried he genuinely wouldn't be able to. at one point his disgust and rage against megatron's actions wouldn't let him connect with him.

maybe if he was furious enough he could brute force his way though a non-existent bond and get like. five minutes to yell at megatron. like when you're so angry you're actually calm? that but megatronus is so enraged he achieves emotional enlightenment just long enough to call megatron insults that haven't been uttered since the quintessons first came to cybetron right to his face and not a second longer lmao

When he’d ended up here, working with Optimus, he’d been sure that his luck was changing. That this was destined. But it had ended up being a lot of pointless errands and being treated like a sparkling. And he’d needed to stretch his legs, to get outside and away from that overwhelming feeling that they’re all second guessing him. Doubting that he can do anything.

• Jasper. When you’d started for the coast, for California, this has been only a temporary setback. You’d been so sure when the car broke down that you could find a job, work just long enough to get the car fixed and then be gone. Two years later, you’re still here. • Staring wide eyed at the big robot as it turns luminous optics your way, you don’t move. Can’t. Too terrified as it raises its hands. “Frag,” it growls and you suck in a breath. “Don’t.” As soon as it takes a step toward you, you scream and roll. Nearly falling when you slide off the hood. Hearing a much louder ‘frag’ and then it’s chasing you as you run for your life.

• Oh, Primus, he’s never going to live this down. Especially after Arcee just warned him to not be seen. They’re never going to let him out of the base again. Why were you even out here? Screaming shrilly, you dart deeper into the desert with him on your heels. How can something so little, move so fast? You’re not exactly coordinated though, sliding down a dune and falling. Giving him time to catch up and snag you in a hand. And you just go limp as he freezes. Did he just kill you by accident? No, no, no. Servos sliding over you, he finds the beat of your heart and vents. Alive, because otherwise he’d never be trusted again. But now what? He can’t leave you out here. Can he?

Fearless buddy being sent to the tfp universe at first made me want the tfp team prime to see mtmte Megs interact with buddy and have a crisis over the fact that Megs became a dad, to a human no less.

and then I realized, no. no I dont want team prime to just react to mtmte megs, I want these fuckers to get yeeted into the portal one by one and suffer through the general chaos of the lost light.

Optimus curls into a ball and cries when he sees Megatron with an autobot badge and being a decent person

Tailgate fanboys and asked for an autograph, yes he knows that its not their Optimus Prime but he's cool none the less

Miko quickly finds Buddy and Whirl and Rodimus quickly grabs Bumblebee and Smokescreen. Ultra Magnus has his back turned for for ten minutes and suddenly the Lost light has been turned into a race track with Swerve handling the betting's and a small world has declared war on the lost light, stating the instigators was a human and two mechs, one of which kinda sounds like the Apex armor.

Brainstorm finds Raf and gets into a custody battle for him with Ratchet.

Optimus and Megatron both have a conversation and get some kinda closure from it.

Ultra Magnus nearly cries over Jack being responsible and polite. he loves buddy but why did they get the well mannered human

plus the rest of the autobots being fucking flabbergasted at how Megatron is with his tiny organic child

The bots had just arrived at the Lost Light via portal and met Buddy once again.

Buddy wanted to bring them to the med bay just to make sure everything was okay with their systems.

Optimus was the one to have Buddy on his servo as they pointed the way to get to the med bay.

How did they not come across any other crewmember?

That is beyond them.

But just before the team made it to the med bay a streak of black came in front of the bots.

“Who are you and what are you doing on board?”--Ravage

Buddy waving from Prime’s servo.

“Hi Ravage!”--Buddy

Ravage takes notice of Buddy and pins his audials back.

“Let them go now!”--Ravage

Ravage tries swiping at the Prime, but Arcee fires a warning shot.

“Don’t even think about it.”--Arcee

“Wait can’t we all calm down—"--Buddy

Multiple heavy pede steps are heard.

“And now he’s coming…”--Buddy

“Who’s—”--Jack

Megatron and Rodimus come running from the corner and stop behind Ravage.

Megatron has his fusion cannon ready and Rodimus is powering up.

Everyone is tense.

“All right Fake Optimus, put Buddy down and no one gets hurt too badly.”--Rodimus

“Fake Prime? This is Optimus Prime.”--Smokescreen

“Yeah, and Megatron isn’t Buddy’s dad. That’s not Optimus.”--Rodimus

Optimus hesitates a minute before handing Buddy to Rodimus.

Buddy Jumps from Rodimus’s servo start onto Megatron’s arm, which freaks everyone out for a minute as the ex war lord does catch them.

“Buddy we’ve talked about this.”--Megatron

Buddy stick’s out their tongue.

“Can someone please explain what in Primus’s name is going on?!”--Magnus

“In a bit Magnus.”--Buddy

“Wait, wait wait, this is Magnus?”--Rodimus

Rodimus looks at him amused.

“Just wait til Minimus finds out.”--Rodimus

“Who’s Minimus?”--Wheeljack

“In a minute, now to the med bay. Ratchet should take a look at them before anything else.”--Buddy

2. Ratchet confrontation and some honorable mentions

Both Ratchet’s nearly have a stroke when they see each other.

The team gets checked out by every medic available.

Buddy manages to catch everyone up overall on the ‘alternative universe’ fiasco. Everyone manages to understand for the most part.

Megatron watches Buddy like a hawk while also sending a message to Minimus on the situation.

He could practically hear the stroke happening from here.

MTMTE Ratchet taking a double look at everyone’s energon levels.

“How are any of you even functioning?! Your energon levels are so low you shouldn’t even be standing up right?!”—MTMTE Ratchet

TFP Ratchet huffs.

“Unlike this universe, energon is not a common thing to run by. Naturally the levels are going to be low.”—TFP Ratchet

“I’m not saying that it is, but what I am is astounded on how any of you are still even talking. And you especially.”

Optimus looks curious.

“What are you referring to?”--Optimus

MTMTE Ratchet takes a deep vent and lets it out.

Bee buzzes angrily.

All MTMTE bots look at him worriedly.

First Aid comes over to him.

“What happened to your voice?”—First Aid

MTMTE Ratchet, Ambulon and Velocity join in crowding Bee.

“His voice box was damaged in the war on Cybertron. Our Megatron damaged it.”—Raf

Bumblebee looks down a bit.

The medics are all looking at one another.

“We can see what we can do here, if you’d like Bumblebee.”—MTMTE Ratchet

Bee buzzes happily as Raf hugs his digit.

Drift enters the med bay.

“Hey Ratchet, I heard you yelling in here, is everything—”--Drift

Drift looks at the scene in front of him stopping dead in his tracks.

His optics land on TFP Ratchet.

Buddy looks at him mouthing ‘No!’

“Who’s this guy?”--Smokescreen

“I finally made it to the Afterspark.”--Drift

All TFP Bots nearly have whiplash at how fast they move their helms.

Tfp team goes to the bar.

Kids stay with Buddy in the human safe portion of the bar to get some food.

Everyone is staring at them.

But to be fair they did have way different frame types than everyone else in this dimension.

Buddy yells at them for being rude.

That they help them in their time of need.

Suddenly everyone is in a much better mood.

Swerve serving Team Prime some engex.

“Any friend of Buddy is a friend of ours. Drink up fellow bots!”--Swerve

“Thank you Swerve.”--Optimus

Prime feels something poking his side

He looks at a white minibot poking his side holding a data pad.

“Hi! I know your not this universes Optimus, but can I still have your autography!”--Tailgate

Prime looks a bit surprised but he gives in.

“And what may be your name?”--Optimus

Has Smokescreen and Bumblebee both thrown over his shoulder looking at Megatron and Magnus.

Later on, Optimus and Megatron are found in one of the booth having some whispered conversation.

No one knows what they talked about, but both came back from it looking tired yet somewhat happy.

4. Promise to meet each other one day in the future

A couple days pass, the portal comes back.

Tfp team says their goodbyes.

Buddy wishes them good luck and to say hi to their alternative.

Portal closes.

“Wait you said, ‘other Buddy’, there was another Buddy?”--Megatron

“Oh yeah, but they’re an old Predacon.”--Buddy

“AN OLD WHAT?!”--Whirl

Meanwhile back in TFP…

The team comes out of the portal groaning at the semi harsh landing.

June and Agent Fowler came running in.

June nearly tackles the kids asking so many questions their heads are spinning.

The team explains what happened.

“Would have guessed that after Buddy’s explanation.”—Agent Fowler

“Heh, hey where is Buddy anyways?”--Bulkhead

“Bet their taking a nap.”--Miko

“Nope. After four hours of you guys ‘disappearing to the other dimension’ they’ve been trying to keep everything under control. They’ve been increasing patrols and energon digs.”—Agent Fowler

“They should be coming in soon.”--June

Heavy wing flaps are heard from the main entrance.

“June! I think another rocks stuck in my—”--Buddy

Buddy stops to take a good look at the team before going in for a group hug, spreading their wings as much as possible.

“Thank the Primes your all safe.”--Buddy

“Woah! Buddy, your…umm…”--Smokescreen

Buddy looking down at their dented and dusty self.

“Someone had to pick up on the patrols. The Decepticon’s couldn’t know that you were gone.”--Buddy

Optimus places his servo on Buddy’s shoulder.

“Rest old friend. We can take it from here.”--Optimus

Buddy just yawns and moves to their spot near the human area and slumps down hard and falls asleep.

The kids go over to Buddy to see if they are still awake.

PaaleOEKSKWOWKAOWOWORIEEB I CANT CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT. IT WAS BETTER MUCH FUCKING BETTER THAN I EXPECTED IT TO BE.

ohh i dont even know where to start… well i guess i should state the obvious: GRAPHICS ARE ABSOLUTELY GOAT. its not just about textures, colors and lighting (which are peak honestly i wanted to eat every single frame), but about… how do i say… the feeling of size, volume, construction. its hard to explain, but i think you’ll get what i mean - the way characters feel, the way environment feels, the way interactions between characters and between characters and environment feel. things feel REAL and this is. just fucking AWESOME.

but ofc good graphics can’t save the movie from being garbage. BUT THE PLOT CAN.

honestly, i did not expect the plot to be SO GOOD (especially considering that for the last decade the only transformers we’ve seen on big screens was bayverse… that isnt famous for deep story)

At first, this whole new vision of the great war’s origin is a HUGE breeze of fresh air (so huge its not just a breeze anymore ig). the whole story with war with quintessons, sentinel’s betrayal (ASSHOLE), and miners basically being cogless slaves… damn thats something. (also i especially liked the idea of starscream being a leader before megatron and talking to him as to somebody of lower position. and then fleeing. this mf just cant be the leader. anyway the whole higher guard thing is the topic for another talk)

but wait wait there is orion and d-16’ relationship. probably THE BEST thing in this movie. its oh its just… well, at first, these are probably versions of optimus and megatron that have the closest relationship in the whole franchise. and thats just simply because they start as equals: just two miners who are working together in the dangerous environment almost like slaves, and take care of each other. but their relationships are so tender, so caring… because they don’t really have anything besides their friendship ig? well ofc there are dreams of finding the matrix and taking iacon out of crisis so they don’t really have to work in the mines…. but, its all just dreams, the only real thing that they have right here and right now is each other.

but then came the power. oh yes it did. and you know what happened next. megatron chose revenge because HE was deceived. HIS whole life was a lie. bro doesn’t really think about other cybertronians as much as he cares about himself and oh god it shows. while optimus thought about the people and only then about himself. and thats the true reason behind their conflict, its not the question of violent/pacifistic way to achieve the goal, its about what matters to them.

and we could actually see that even before the team gets their cogs:

“did you do it for me?”

“no, i did it for us”

this “us” is not just they two, this “us” is the whole cast of miners. i mean considering just WHAT participation in this race meant for miners. they arent worthless slaves, they are capable of doing better than this! this is what orion wanted to show. both to his fellow miners and to regular cybertronians.

OKAY SO, BASIC WORLDBUILDING:

Just like MD takes place way in the future, this AU takes place waaaay into cybertron's future.

The Optimus and Megatron are long gone history figureheads, most cybertronians never even heard about them. The primes are also long gone, Optimus was the last bearer of the matrix, so no chosen one either.

Cybertron is ruled by The Senate (*lmao its not. But more on that later ahuhuhu) and "Decepticon" is literally just the official designation for any and all cybetronian who goes against the senate in any way (basically the senate took a name and insignia from the history books that mean "the bad guys" and slapped it into anyone who causes them trouble)

Copper 9 is actually, just like in MD, a small exoplanet with a mining operation going on. The vast majority of the miners are disposables/monoformers minibots (AKA worker drones)

Now, SOMETHING (haven't actually. Figured out what yet) happens on Copper 9, that makes the bots there pretty much uhhh whats the english word for when a colony wants to separate from the country, liberate themselves?

Basically Copper 9 tells cybertron to fuck off and wants to become its own government.

Senate is like uhhh no you fukin dont.

Marks the entire colony as Decepticons, and sents the DDD to wipe them out.

Now on to some more character concepts:

UZI: Uzi is a minibot (around rewind size or so, maybe sliiiightly bigger?) Shes an outcast for a number of reasons, but the main one if because she actually modded herself with an experimental T-cog she designed AND built herself out of trash.

Her altmode is the Railgun (her knockoff T-cog is the reason behind the 30 mins cool down, is she were to try and rapidfire, it would literally burnt out her spark)

Just like in cannon, she thinks that hiding from the DDD is dumb and they should fight them instead.

She was chosen and brought back to life by unicron himself, to spread chaos and gain control of cybertron, with the end goal of devouring primus himself.

Cyn was originally another disposable minibot, but she died with such contempt to the world around her that her spark called to Unicron himself, who saw great potential for chaos in her.

Unicron was right, too right in fact, because Cyn would eventually consume him ouo she eventually ate him.

Once her story is known, cybertron gives her the tittle Daughter of Unicron, God eater.

Ok here’s my long ass post about Earthspark Starscream.

None of this is even getting into the final episode of season one because I can’t right now. This show really did body horror and I love it so much.

I love him so so much. I love that the show doesn’t make an excuse for the way Megatron treated him and I like that he was nice. He does bad things and is selfish but also he’s not at the same time? Like horrible friend no doubt but when he was trying to escape he helped his seekers. He lead a jailbreak and he cares at least a bit about the other seekers.

He puts himself first always but also Skywarp was angry at him for not helping. Which would almost imply that at some point he used to help. He shoved her out of his way but he also pushes her out of the way do the energon monster. Was it intentional? Idk. But he did do it. And later in the episode he proves that he can be selfless. He responds well to people showing him kindness. He’s willing to work with the Maltos and follows there plans. He doesn’t even attack them at the end.

Also the fact that no one is like “yeah but you did shitty things so you deserved to be abused” is nice. ‘We’ll obviously no one would say it like that’ have you ever read a transformers YT video comment section? People like finding a way to justify the abuse others go through if they are attempting to fight back and this show says ‘no we aren’t gonna do that. Megaton was wrong to treat his subordinates the way he did.’ Starscream is a bad person, but honestly Megatron is too. His advice to bumblebee on teaching was to use fear because that’s what he did. Optimus tells him ‘don’t use unnecessary force with Starscream’ and guess what he does! I mean you could argue that he technically wasn’t using excessive force but the fact that OP felt the need to tell him not to do that shows something. Like I love this Megatron so much but he still was the leader of a glorified terrorist group. He had good intentions, but it still ended with him leading a group of terrorists.

And the bit where Megatron says he’ll take Starscream somewhere that’s safe and Starscream says ‘no where is safe with you’ is the most thing ever. I love that bit so much. Even if he’s wrong he’s still right because how could he ever feel safe near Megatron or if he knew where he was? The fact that he also automatically assumes the worst in others and is so surprised when Hashtag believed him is so sad to me. Like he’s awful and terrible but he’s also a person who has been hurt by someone who is, from his point of view, helping lock up himself and his subordinates. Starscream is a selfish traitor but Megatron has also betrayed him, his cause (typically, not that applicable to this Megatron), and his people. Also Starscream is telling Megaton to fuck off which I love.

He has the ability to emphasize with Hashtag and he doesn’t want the others to die but he’s spent so much time in an environment that fosters betrayal and constant lying that he can’t just go back for them even if he wanted to. I don’t think he cares either way, but Starscream’s backstabbing nature probably only got as bad as it did BECAUSE he was forced into situations where he could either throw someone else under the bus or be run over. He doesn’t respond as warmly to Skywarp or Novastrom when they showed up (compared to Hashtag) but he had a response. He’s almost apathetic to them but he relaxes slightly and has an almost positive reaction.

Hashtag telling Starscream that bad things happen and it isn’t always their fault was just— AHGHH! I love this episode so much. It’s looking you in the face and saying “hey. that thing you do, where you say this person deserved the abuse they got? Yeah that’s messed up and wrong.” Because people DONT deserve to be abused and no one ever does. ‘Starscream tried to kill Megatron multiple times’ then just imprison, exile, or kill him. And I know that it’s not that simple but if you try to simplify Starscream’s actions then I’m gonna simply Megatron’s possible responses. They both did bad things, we don’t see them doing the bad things in this episode so making an actual judgement is kind of hard but the episode is strongly implying that Megatron abused SS or otherwise unfairly hurt him. I mean SS kind of says it.

Starscream manages to be a really nuanced and complex character without taking away from the others around him. Like Hashtag telling Megatron to leave Starscream alone and Megatron almost shooting Starscream gives all of them more character. Megatron isn’t really WRONG for attacking SS IN THE CAVE. Because if I was Megatron I would assume he would attack the terrains. Hashtag is also a character I didn’t think I’d like as much as I do (her fake evil bit was fun). She cares so much about the people around her and is able to feel empathy for people she shouldn’t and that probably sucks a lot. It’s not a good feeling to feel bad for people and Hashtag is empathetic.

I hope he (SS) will show up more in season two as a neutral force almost like TFP. Because I don’t see him going after the terrains just because they sided with Megatron but he’s also not gonna just join the Maltos. Also Thundercracker pls pls pls. Even if he’s just like ‘fuck this noise’ and then leaves and never shows up again. Just put the Blue guy in.

Since I've been binging any transformer show I can find, I want to share some of my thoughts to the people!! This is too long for a discord message to I'm just word vomiting on Tumblr instead :)

PROWL JUST DIES????? HE JUST DIES. WHAT. So anyways I wasn't a huge fan of the ending, my mate mentioned how it looked like the budget got cut twords the end so without much more context I'd assume that too cause wow that was anticlimactic to me. It kinda felt like there wasn't a lot of care put into it and just had to do something quick to get it to air on time. Blackarachnia JUST KEEPS GETTING BANISHED, IT'S SO FUNNY TO ME, like yes she's in prehistoric Dino age (shout out to the maximals nod, teehee). I cannot remember how Beast Wars ends so I'm hoping third times the charm (rip queen). I was so relieved they made Sentinel fucking give Optimus some damn credit, it was pissing me off sm he was getting insufferable, and sure I can see people saying it was rushed maybe but BOY was it satisfying so I'm happy with that outcome.

This version of Soundwave is by far my favorite, hopefully not the only Soundwave I'll love but HRGRGGRHR HIS CASSETTES ACTUALLY BEING INSTRUMENTS MADE ME SO FERAL. I JUST, SOMETHING CLICKED AND MONEY BRAIN WENT "BEST THING EVERRRR!!!" And I hope there's other iterations where this is a thing cause I NEED MORE OF IT. I need this mfer shredding it all the time, plz. If I get to drawing something like my own continuity (which for Goldbreak I'll probably have to) im MOSTLY basing it off of this one.

I was so happy when Jazz wanted to stick with the Autobots on Earth, Great joy!! than I realize there's 2 episodes left and I explodeeee like NAAAUURR. At least leading up to that we got to see him a lot, the most screentime I've seen Jazz get (from the media I have watched) by far. But more thoughts on my favorite transformer, I dont like they took way his lil horns, it's not quite him without them, so it gets a lot of points taken for that alone. Otherwise I enjoyed him a lot, very funny, smart, witty, just a very likeable character overall. Also the fact he ditched Sentinal already is great news lol.

I'M NOT OVER HOW THEY KILLED BLURR, I DIDN'T BELIEVE IT UNTIL SEVERAL EPISODES LATER. I thought he would get uh, uncubed, and come back! NO. HE DIDN'T. It genuinely upsets me a lot, he was taken too soon from us and it was fucking brutal too, I was shocked. He's not my favorite but something about him getting killed in such an awful way and not coming back just broke my heart.

Prowl being gold and black threw me off the whole time. It probably helps him look visually different from Ratchet and in this iteration it helped him look more like a "Cyber Ninja" (I hate that sm xjejjdjdjdj) but I didn't like it still.

The human designs I don't love, but I cope with thinking that this was a simulation created by Soundwave so a lot of his influence was apart of those designs probably. They did kinda fit for them, but doesn't mean I loved them.

I can't forget that one post of "worst polycule ever" and it's sentinal, prime, and blackarachnia. Tbh I couldn't agree more and it's so funny to me to think about. It's silly :)

OH MY GODS I ALMOST FORGOT ABOUT BLITZWING. HANDS DOWN MY FAVORITE CHARACTER IN THE SHOW. I didn't really think about if he was good plural representation or not, I just really had a lot of fun watching them and GRRR THE ALT MODES GOING TO DIFFERENT ALTERS IS SO BIG BRAIN, and a huge reason as to why Goldbreak/Siegebreak are the way they are. I saw them and went "oh shit I've gotta make my own" so I did that :3. I don't really have deeper thoughts on him than he was such a fun character and I'm upset that this is the only version of Blitzwing like this.

OKAY!!! I hyped myself up, with some light encouragement from my sibling (shout out to them! Seriously tho they let me rant about me stupid little guys so thanks for that/pos).

I'm going to talk about my first ever transformers oc that I made about...two and a half years ago. Back when I first finally got into transformers (I was in denial before that), I made an oc that didn't really look like the thing I wanted them to transform into. And to be fair they still kinda don't but I DONT CARE my goober my rules or whatever.

Soooo meet Stargate officially!!! Pronouns are They/Them only and they're supposed to turn into a Volkswagen van (but heavily modified). They make 70's fashion and music their whole personality and love to talk..a whoooole lot. Big yapper and loves to party/go clubbing. The war kinda busted that sadly. Back on Cybertron (not really based on any specific version just kinda what I view Cybertron as now. I've consumed much media), they were into body mods and clubbing and forgetting they have a science degree!!

When the war started they started to assist Shockwave in the lab but ended up getting kicked out because somehow a small bot annoyed the "emotionless" scientist. How? It's honestly a mystery.

Here's what their earth bot mode looks like! ^

Lots of green and a silly antenna that bobs around. Not too far off from what they originally looked like but I did change a bit from the original to now! I'm happy with what they look like and happy with the colors I've chosen. This little guy admires the purple scientist and is absolutely terrified of Megatron and Optimus Prime.

Here's what they looked like on my Cybertron, little hover vehicle that's not space worthy. Wings do nothing they are for emoting and for show. Heels are cosmetic too and honestly most of the frame is haha.

Some doodles to go along too! Kinda just some silly stuff. I've got like over 18,000 words on a word doc of just random story stuff with them and my other oc who's equally as old! Crazy what autism can do to a motherfucker cause holy moly.

I also have a human design for them but that is for a later date!! I've rambled enough for rn and soon I will talk about my other guy..Monsterwulf!!

what do you think of Optimus and Hot rods relationship, yknow if he gets to hang out with hot rod before kicking the bucket

oooh thats a good question. in my mind i don’t think optimus thinks that much of hot rod. i think he LIKES hot rod and obviously he’s nice to him etc etc but i dont think optimus would have ever guessed hot rod would be his successor. they’re fundamentally opposed in opinions and personality.

like optimus CHOOSES ultra magnus to carry the matrix of leadership. he doesn’t know hot rod is the one who can open it- if he did, surely he would have just given it to hot rod, and saved them all lot of grief. but during the movie, hot rod continuously proves himself worthy of the matrix, listening and learning from the people around him, and i think that’s why optimus gives him the name rodimus when he finally unleashes the matrix- optimus recognized him as worthy.

but when they’re alive, i don’t think optimus would think twice about hot rod. he’s a great kid but not the next prime. that’s his unruly leaps before he looks fun loving low on the chain of command hot rod. that’s his friend, surely, but not who he would have picked.

as for hot rod, i think he has an amicable relationship with optimus. probably tries to get him to lighten up more and teases him a lot. also doesn’t hesitate to disobey one of his orders if he thinks it’s wrong, which can lead them to butting heads. but hot rod also has a great deal of respect for optimus, which is why taking on the mantle after him is such an enormous burden. the shadow that he lives under is HUGE. hot rod is terrified of not living up to him, not only because everyone else’s thinks he should be like optimus, but because he ALSO thinks he should be like optimus, because he also respects and admired him and feels so much dread and guilt when he believes himself guilty of getting him killed.

i think the idea of them having a mentor-mentee relationship is fun but ideally i actually don’t want that. i think it’s more interesting when they don’t have a particularly strong relationship beyond a bit of hero worship from hot rod (that skyrockets after optimus dies), that optimus doesn’t view hot rod as his successor, that they’re amicable friends but if it had been optimus’s decision he would have never chose hot rod. optimus will choose someone else to carry on his legacy but in the end it isn’t his choice- it’s the matrix’s.

The ideal toy/action figure is

1) a robot: even if its a really good action figure of like a person or whatever theres always gonna be some disconnect because you cant fucking hide the joints man. And even if you can people just do not articulate like that. If you move your arm your body stretches too. If your toy is a robot it becomes way more convincing as a gestalt being

2)poseable as fuck: rheres so many insanely detailed figurines of like batman or whatever the fuck and hes got bulge definition and kevlar and whatever the fuck but hes a-posingand you can only rotate the arms. Whats the fucking point at that point man.

2.5) it should specifically also have an ab crunch. Ive seen third party transformers that can do an ab crunch while rotating the upper and middle body sections independently and that shit is crazyyyyyyy. It for real adds so much life and presence to poses. The bastard thing about normal hasbro transformers is that they will never ever ever ever make one that has an ab crunch and it makes me so so sad

3) it should transform and/or combine: u gotta give me something to do with it man. Tangentially related but city/base transformers suuuuuck.

3.5) it cant be too big or small: if its too big then playing with it becomes insanely unwieldy. The big transformer toys have also had historically awful articulation because of their size. If the toy is too small Its Fine but like deluxe - voyager - leader class ones always feel the best in hand ino. This is why i do not fuck with diaclone.

4) it has to come preassembled it cant be some model kit shit. Sorry im not a real one. Im not about that life. I built a cool (NON GUNDAM!!!!) robot earlier this year and i attached his arm wrong and didnt realise until after i cemented it together and im still recovering. Generally speaking model kits are also mostly hollow inside so theyre less weighty and feel less good to play with.

5) it cant be TOO stylised. This is probably the most contentious one since this is more just a result of me not being The Target Audience but like. Transformers animated optimus prime should not fucking exist in the material realm.

This thing doesnt want to exist. Of course theres the inverse of this where they try way too hard to make it realistic and its like a hypergreebled thing but like thats basically a problem only a specific genre of third party figurines have. The bayformers toys were really good imo cuz they had a lot of detail but still felt very much like A Touy

I know one of them doesnt have an ab crunch but squeezeplay more than makes up for it with the headmaster gimmick and the insane fucking alt mode. Sometimes Just Balling Out Works. This is why i have injector and hes one of my favourite designs transformers has ever done. They for real need to do more shit like him and less Another Guy That Transforms Into A Car But This Time Its 2% More Show Accurate. Its not like i deliberately only fuck with transformers that transform into animals BUT they gotta start finding weirder vehicles to make these from. A helicopter made out of rocks does not count.

I know theres other transforming toy franchises but theyre always either some boutique shit where each toy is 200 dollars or sentai. Which has the problem of not having a lot of articulation (this is fine because these are meant for like 8 year olds but also i straight up dropped boonboomger because every combination theyve given the robot has sucked ass and not even in a fun way like zyuohger). I know theyre doing smp minipla versions that are way more poseable now but again. I dont want to do model kits.

I also really fucking love it when a mecha has like an insane number of guys combining into it. Probably the one time where i will forgive a lack of poseability. Shout outs to go-onger engine oh g12 and boukenger ultimate daibouken (though i feel like this one kind of has a lot less visual impact than the has-1-less-guy super daibouken). The kingohger mecha was a huge disappointment because they wanted to make him one of those guys but by the time they actually combine all 20 bugs literally like a third of them are attached to the back. I feel like relegating a bunch of your guys to Backpack Duty is super cheating. Also the regular nonsupercombined kingohger mecha has spiders on his dick.

oh my god so many so many transformers OCs😭 I only have one drawn so far so im just gonna infodump on you so hard

Clapperclaw- my FIRST actual transformer oc :3 hes a lil guy and hes designed to look like a bird!!! and he transforms into a mosquito helicopter! He used to be a decepticon, but he defected after a series of events that kinda made him have an identity crisis.. alsooo hes conjuxed to MisClick!! who ill talk abt now

MisClick- Big blue tank thing!!!! shes a scientist and doesn't prefer fighting, but shes huge and buff and can protect herself verrry well. She was also a decepticon, but didn't really care for sides all the much, but stayed with the decepticons for convenience (first faction that found her, her partner was part of them, they had the materials she wanted for her experiments) but when Clapper defected, she did too.

Current- also a scientist, and specializes in chemistry and biology mostly. and he turns into a boat!!! a big as hell yacht!!! so he a reaall big bot. hes an autobot and in most versions of him hes really close with optimus cus yayyy :3 also his face got fucked up in one of his experiments (acid burns teehee) so he wears a mask most of the time

Pike- okay soo... this guy isss complicated??? the initial reason i made him was for transformers reader insert fic reasons, and then he just kinda stuck around in my brain. sometimes hes with megatron, sometimes with someone else, hes an autobot and a decepticon at the same time , i dont fucking know. the only constant is that he's ancient and doesnt eat energon like a normal person (he doesnt really eat energon at all, he feeds off the energy thats always being dispelled by other bots. hes silly like that)

Crimson- now this guy silly!!! hes tiny and has a liiiittle bit of an italian accent cus his alt-mode is based on my dads car which is a really old alfa romeo (which are italian cars :3) hes silly and always super optimistic and is the reason that Tine eventually joined the autobots

Tine- (placeholder name) Saddest guy on the block. wasn't on a side and was doing his best to survive. kills on sight, takes no risks, serious as FUCK. hated everyone and everything until meeting crimson. saw a silly old man so full of joy and whimsy he couldn't help but fall in love lmao. still very wary around everyone else but can and will kill for crimson (also his alt is a jeep btw)

Prodsling- yeah this is a cowboy. texas accent , would wear a cowboy hat if he could, likes to pet cows and horses, loves driving through mud. hes like a chill southern granpa that sits on a porch and gives weird advice and makes farm animal noises. turn into a pickup truck ofc

Shiver- Weirdest girl on the block. literally your local cryptid that watches u from the shadowy corners and knows all your secrets. actually quite sweet but has the autism that makes you strange and unsettling <3 alt is like??? i dunno some cool black car. she walks silently and is so good at eavesdropping

Polyphon- weird little decepticon kid that wants to be friends with soundwave SO BAD. wants to party, covered in rainbow biologhts. RAVE BOY RAVE TIME!!! has speakers on him :3 here to have a good time not a long time 🎉

Vironmet- Little old lady in the woods that loves to meditate and talk to animals. will NOT HESITATE TO THROW DOWN if you fuck of the forest or anything living in it. bakes you a pie but if your mean to dogs its poisoned. basically what if tfa prowl was a little lady that killed. she turns into a Squirrel i think

Matte- Mercedes that does not quit. stares into peoples eyes menacingly all day. wants to bite. most fucking stubborn guy ever. Only loosely tied to the autobots and just does his own thing, cus literally no one can handle him!!!!!

Nano- tiny little medic! about the size or a human and her alt is basically a swiss-army medical tool! so shes made to have other bots handles her. also shes basically Ratchets child for funsies. tiny, bitey, ready to be covered in energon when its surgery time!!!!

aaand thats a out it so far! I dont have a lot of time to draw them cus im in college snd have ine million assignments 😭 but ill try!!! so watch out for em!!

You have no idea how happy it makes me that you enjoyed what I wrote! I will never mind any sort of feedback, especially if its about your character and how I portrayed them. The longer it is the happier I get. Which speaking of, I'm so relieved I got her right!! Sunrazor is a fun balancing act of different facets, and since you mentioned her being a psychopath I totally might have looked up the traits associated with the condition and laid it against what you already sorta gave bits and pieces about.

Her being gentle and almost playful with Comet felt right due to a piece you had posted a while ago? With the bot getting caught trying to visit his lover who happened to be under Sun's command. Her holding his face inspired the whole scene, and I thought it would add another layer of her own insanity and discomfort. When someone holds your face or your chin its quite close to intimate, but mix that with Comet being blown to pieces, her being huge and terrifying and totally able to crush him. He is completely at her mercy, and she knows it. She's doing that gentle action and feeling none of the associated emotions connected to it. But, on the flip side. She uses this as sort of a bridge for manipulation. See? I can help you, they obviously don't seem to care enough to save you. Your in this vulnerable position because they sent you here "Named me to put you down". I wanted a good opening for her manipulation to join because she doesn't seem the type to just hold out her hand and be like "Hey I think we'd make a great team :D"

Her twisting the situation to hurt his concepts of the autobots and doubt himself was also inspired by a post you did, it might have been her introduction. Showing she twists the obsession another mech has for her into a choke collar. She, in my mind, was slipping that pronged collar over Comet's head with every sliver of doubt.

To share a secret, if Comet didn't have the twins waiting for him, he might have been more than a little tempted. The autobots don't care about him, so he thinks. He doesn't enjoy Optimus and his righteous morals, Prowl sees him as a threat to the whole war. Jazz, well jazz just scares him. If the majority of the army knew what he was, he'd be torn to bits. So that little, they sent you out to die, sparked all his inner turmoil. Prowl was smart. He would do that, what if Jazz was in on it and sent him to make a distraction knowing Sunrazor wanted a piece of him.

If you can’t tell that was my favorite part of the whole thing. Hope you dont mind me yapping about my thought process, maybe its interesting.

The idea that the twins are the only thing keeping Comet tied to the Autobots is the cutest (maybe a little sad) things ever. He cares about them so much he’ll stick around even if he’s hating every second of it.

A TFA Blitzwing x Mech!Reader

Chapter 3: Speedway

"Optimus! Decepticons are on my tail!" I called over the comlink as both Blitzwing and Lugnut chased after me. "I'm trying to lead them away!"

"Y/D, get your tailpipe out of there! Now!" Ratchet barked over the comlink. "We're closing in on your position, Prime and the others will handle the Decepticons!"

"But -"

"NO BUTS YOUNG BOT!" There was an uncharacteristic panic to his tone, a tone Ratchet only used when he genuinely thought I was in danger.

And I would be a fool to ignore his words.

I skidded into a drift, locking on the Autobots signal and making a beeline for them. I spotted the group and shifted forms, back flipping with blades ejecting out from between my knuckle joints like the human superhero Wolverine.

"ZERE! MORE AUTOBOTS!" Blitzwing yelled as both Decepticons shifted forms.

"Ratchet, Sari, Y/D! Fall back to the ship!" Optimus ordered.

"Yes, sir." I said.

"THE TRIPLE CHANGER STAYS!" Lugnut barked as he fired his missiles. I shoved Ratchet and Sari out of harms way and barely managed to dodge the missiles. The missiles impacted the ground and exploded in a ball of fire, cutting me off from the others by a billow of dense smoke.

"GO GO GO!" I yelled through the smoke.

"KID!" Ratchet called.

"DONT WORRY ABOUT ME! GET SARI TO SAFETY AND GET THE ALLSPARK OUT OF HERE!" I was tackled by Lugnut and pinned to the ground, my blades slashing at his side and leaving trails of energon in its wake. Lugnut let out a bellow and backed off, Prowl and Bulkhead jumping into the fight along with Bumblebee and Optimus.

As I was about to go help them, Blitzwing cut me off, his arms and wings spreading to shield me from the fight.

"Go." He said.

"What?" I questioned.

"Go with your medic. Before zat oaf notices." I hesitated a moment but nodded and took off after Ratchet and into the water. I quickly found the ship along with the medic and human.

"Y/D? How'd you escape?" Sari asked as I entered the ship and shook off the water.

"It's... complicated." I said. "Have you been able to get the ship online?"

"Not yet because SOMEONE," Ratchet said while shooting Sari a scolding glare. "Doesn't want us to leave and won't listen."

"Sari," I said ever so gently as I knelt down next to her. "Why don't you want us to leave?"

"Because you're my friends... and I don't want to be alone!" She sobbed.

"Sari, I don't think any of us want to leave." I said as I picked her up and gently held her against my chassis. "Primus knows i certainly don't. But if we stay, the Decepticons will destroy this planet and everything on it. Including you."

"But... they can't be that bad?" She sniffled.

"Some might not be." I said as I thought about Blitzwing. "But just like humans, you don't know how dangerous someone can be until they show you their true colors. Ratchet and I have both experienced firsthand the horrors of Megatron and his loyalists. They will stop at nothing to get the Allspark." I gently released Sari from the sort of hug and wiped a tear delicately from her face. "We don't want you or this planet to face the same horrors our world has. Do you understand?"

"I... it's not fair." She sniffled.

"I know, Sari. But when it comes to war well, nothing is fair." My expression softened, and a small smile crept on my dermas. "But you can help make it a fair fight." I hooked my digit under her key and lightly lifted it off of her chest. "The Allspark has given you this gift for a reason, one beyond our understanding. It depends on your just as much as it depends on us. It isn't just the lives that currently exist that are at stake but also those yet to come."

Sari paused a long while as she pondered my words before a smile crept on her face.

"How can I help?"

"Ratchet, do you think we can get the weapons system online?" I asked the medic as he rummaged around the command bridge.

"With Sari's key, we can give the ship enough juice to launch something." Ratchet said.

"Then you two should get ready, I'll see if I can -" I suddenly froze up, and my optics went white in color, my expression frozen and distant.

"Y/D?" Sari said as she climbed up a nearby stack of crates and waved her hand in front of my face. "Y/D? Yoohoo?"

No response.

"Ratchet, something is wrong with Y/D!" Sari called to the medic. Ratchet turned around and saw my frozen state, his spark dropping to his tanks at the sight.

"Oh scrap, not now!" Ratchet exclaimed.

"What's happening to him?" Sari asked.

"I don't know, it's happened before."

"What do we do?"

"We can worry about Y/D later. Right now, the others need our help."

While the pair were scrambling about trying to get the weapons system back online, I found myself trapped in my own mind, remembering things that never happened.

Or at least I thought so.

"The Enigma is ready to be transported." I heard a voice say.

"And how many were forged?" Another I recognized as Starscream's said

"Only this one. The Autobots attacked the lab before another could be produced."

"Does it have a spark?"

"It does, and it should be entirely loyal to Megatron as he sees fit."

"Excellent." I then heard a set of pedes walk away, and something touched my face, although I couldn't see anything. "I think I'll make some... alterations to you, hm? Make you serve your true Master."

The white light faded from my optics, and I collapsed onto the ground with a crash at the exact same time Sari inserted her key to power the weapons system.

I heard the firing of the weapons followed by a watery explosion. Then I remembered nothing more.

"Kid? Kid!" Ratchet called through the black. "Cmon, I know you hear me!"

"Nnng, why are you shouting?" I grumbled as I opened my optics and found I was back in the Autobot base. I groaned and gripped my helm as a throbbing pain ran through it, my optics sceunching tight and my jaws locking up.

"What happened?" I asked.

"We were getting the weapons charged to help Optimus and the others fight off the Decepticons," Sari said. "And you just... stopped working."

"Yeah, that happens sometimes." I chuckled. "Are the others okay?"

"Yeah, we're fine." Optimus said, pulling my attention to him. "But maybe it's time you took that break Ratchet suggested you'd take."

"I'm fine, Optimus." I said sternly. "Freeze ups happen sometimes. But thanks for your concern." I rose from the medical berth and headed to my quarters where I laid down and stared up at the ceiling with a blank expression.

I thought about the other times I had a freeze up and realized that out of all of them, this was the only time I had something other than a forced shutdown happen.

"What in Primus is happening to me?"

So I started watching the 1984 Transformers cartoon, with the french voices because they're deliciously corny. For now, here's what I found :

I'm pretty sure 2 or 3 guys are voicing the 50+ characters.

Spike and his dad are super lenients for guys who just met alien robots. And Optimus Prime is way too quick to accept their help.

Btw they're called "Autobo" and "Deceptican" in french. And Optimus Prime is called Optimus Prim.

i thought it was sci fi... so far they have found Old Mayan Religion and also Tech, Atlantis with its retro-thruster, and have created dinosaurs robots who now live on a Dinosaurs Island

Ironhide got a full episode where he has to shakes off his "I'm Too Old For This Shit"-itis so now I can differentiate Red Robot With Large Windshield from the other. I can also remember Hound's name because Spike called him "Ohund" and I did not understand it at all. The only others I can pick out are "Bumblee", Optimus Prim, Mirage bc he got the blue pharaoh coiffe, Tracks bc his face is red, and the ambulance dude (Ratchet ?)
