[WIP]
Okay so colours, shading and rendering is definitely not a strength of mine, so I have a tendency to avoid doing it lol, but I feel like I'm learning quite a lot from doing this lyric comic :] Either way I'm having fun!
Currently colouring page 8 out of 9 :D

I love drawing Krang Leader and I have no idea why.
The Rottmnt boys are powerful weapons of war, so their enemies are roided af behemoths that tower over people like bugs (seriously, look how tall krang leader is compared to rottmnt raph, jesus) and squash them just as easily. And I find that funny.
And terrifying.
Which is why Rottmnt is my favorite.

Basically my tmnt experience
Watching 2012: My heart has been overwhelmed by insatiable love. I will never be the same.
Watching the 2007 movie: My heart has been overwhelmed by insatiable love. I will never be the same.
Watching Rise: My heart has been overwhelmed by insatiable love. I will never be the same.
Watching 2003: My heart has been overwhelmed by insatiable love. I will never be the same.
...
I'm... I'm just wondering how many times this will happen. How can there be this much artistry and this many good characters in a single franchise? It's unnatural.

i think i only want to see a rottmnt x sonic (live action) crossover because i would love to see donnie and robotnik meeting each other.
they would love to hate each other, is how at least i think it would go.
like i just imagine them seeing each other and their fight or flight instincts kicking it, and its immediately fight, but with knowledge.
"what's the 99th digit of pi?!"
"longest word in the dictionary?!"
"this is my FULLY SENTIENT robot ai son, shelldon"
"THESE are my beautiful egg babies"
"i have combined mysticism and science!"
"i have 5 phds and fluent in several languages!"
then they also meet up later for coffee (made by agent stone and michelangelo respectively) and actually compare notes like colleagues, but as soon as the coffee is done and they leave, they go back to hating each other

[ cw: dismemberment / ]
I think a lot about how Leo’s rescue could have easily ended in him losing a leg as the portal snaps shut on the Krang still clutching the limb, or, alternatively, only having Leo’s right arm make it out, still held dearly in his brother’s hand as the rest of Leo is left behind. (The latter hits even harder, as it directly parallels his future self in the worst of ways.)
I think a lot about how so many things could have gone wrong during the course of the movie with even a little bit of a change, but it really is harrowing how much of a coin-flip the entirety of the Prison Dimension rescue was.
#rottmnt#rise of the teenage mutant ninja turtles#rottmnt leo#rottmnt headcanons#rise leo#dismemberment /#if literally any part of the prison dimension rescue was different it would have ended Very Badly#mikey came in clutch for doing the impossible in the first place#raph grabbing leo and not once letting go was vital#and donnie directly hitting the krang was essential#hell leo having the ability to reach out at all in the state he was in was a miracle#listen I think about the prison dimension a lot if you couldn’t tell#for the next tags:#strangulation mention /#physical trauma induced mutism /#potential death mention /#potential sibling death mention /#barely it mainly focuses on if he lives but /#I also think about how Leo’s trachea could have easilyyy given out as Raph (krangified) was choking him#can you imagine the last words raph hearing from his little brother being I’m sorry?#he’d likely live as the hamato bros are built different but imagine if he straight up can’t talk again after#the bros having no idea what Leo’s plan is but they suddenly feel him disappear with the portal#or also#imagine all he gets out in his hoarse voice is to beg Casey to close the portal before his family HEARS the sudden silence like a knife#even if he gets saved his voice may be wrecked or even gone for good#what am I writing wait-#also for my point on leo losing his arm paralleling his future self#imagine fate being a thing in this world but a VERY situational thing#imagine it makes it so that leo has to lose a limb#but not just that - it also ties his presence directly with the Krang’s - so if the Krang’s somewhere else…so is he

The more I read about Primarchs, the more I get the feeling Big E purposely allowed Chaos to scatter Primarchs around the galaxy, or maybe even it wasn't Chaos Gods at first place. It was Big E himself.
If you think about it, Big E never was "Parental" type. It was described he had multiple families with mortal women over his immortal life, and I am pretty sure he never stuck around for long, because sticking around means getting attached, and getting attached means you gain a weakness. And Big E is all about avoiding having any weaknesses.
Raising 20 sons himself, would mean attachements as much as it would mean Emps being direct influence to his sons. And while on one side it would have been positive enviroment for all his sons, that also means Big E would have been forced to be "Parental". And that's probs only fear Big E has.
Scattering his sons in the galaxy not only made them grow up their own people, it also made their individual strengths shine even more. At least that's what I see Big E believing. In truth many of his sons did not luck out and thus ended not developing the right qualities, but instead absorbed sorrow, anger and malice of the soceties they landed in. Some were more lucky and found acceptance and love among their new kin.
So... Do I imply Big E might have yeeted his own gene sons to oblivion just to run another experiment? Yeah, I do, especially as conveniently, no child landed on xenos/uninhabided worlds and you think chaos would have ensured these kids did not grew up to be a threat to them.

Cherik is such a gorgeous love story I often forget it's not canon.
Like, objective proof aside, imagine a love so undying it has persisted after so many fights, betrayals and wars in every universe and will continue to do so even if the earth stops spinning, even when everything is reduced to the ground. The love will persist, because it feels older than the universe itself, and it will do so no matter how much either of them tries to bury it or stop it. Its a love that has changed their lives, the lives of so many, it has changed the world in each and every reality where it's born. It may not actually be what makes the world spin, but it sure is what makes each other spin, because Charles Francis Xavier is not Charles Francis Xavier without Erik Magnus Lehnsherr, and Erik Magnus Lehnsherr is not Erik Magnus Lehnsherr without Charles Francis Xavier.
And this. This. Is NOT canonigally romantic love. WHAT THE FUCK.
Never forget what heterinormativity stole from us

Super mutants and the Followers are so misunderstood and I genuinely think it's because nobody has played the first game (but doesn't let that stop them talking about it). You could not play it and think super mutants were typically intelligent or that the Followers were anarchists or frankly any kind of leftists. The fact that super mutants overwhelmingly come out stupid and violent, when they come out at all, is more or less the main plot. And Nicole is very explicit about the Followers and their goals: to restore LA to what it was like before the war, because peace and inequality is 1000x better than violence. That's the Follower's credo. That's the sole extent to which they're against the NCR's Mojave campaign all those years later... it's all about stamping out war & violent lawlessness, and they believe it can be done through sharing knowledge (okay, and a little bit of violence. and a lot of spying).
Edward Sallow is only a bad Follower because he used too much violence to stop the violence - or maybe simply because he's a warmonger. Arcade flat out says he believes he "meant well" in forming the Legion! (unless you want to read this as Arcade's latent Enclave fascism, of course)
The Followers are scarcely political at all, certainly as a whole. (They aren't even anti-military, which makes you wonder if their rift with the NCR was mostly one-sided.) Arcade's personal interest in reading about how communism failed doesn't mean the Followers are communists (I don't think it means Arcade is a communist, either). Arcade is a good Follower because he prefers to curiously observe & mildly criticise your psychopathy rather than actually trying to stop you. He's a bad Follower because he wants to fight the Legion because they are bad. Which makes him basically NCR. Which he obviously is, as are the vast majority of Followers in his day (and of course, educated NCR people have largely been educated by the Followers until very recently).
I don't think their cross symbol is some kind of mistake. I don't think it relates to healthcare, either, because they don't provide it in the first game: that's a Children of the Cathedral thing. They're philosophers and historians spreading their message of peace with books. The Followers are weird pseudo-christians of the post-apocalypse (much like the Brotherhood). They're pitted against the more explicitly christian-seeming Children who are actually liars and not charitable in the slightest, simply using their appearance of charity to recruit troops and find victims. But all three main groups are genuinely concerned with peace in the wastes, despite the bad eggs you'll find here and there.
Then, the next time we see the Followers, they are literally running a mission out of an old missionary fort. As for the politics: Julie is friends with an NCR soldier, Arcade expresses sympathy for NCR war criminals(!), April wants Enclave weapons research... now I'm starting to think the people who don't understand the Followers never played FNV either, lol. But the belief that the old world was corrupt and needed to be destroyed, and that what we need now is some grand equality and unity of all mankind, is quite explicitly the beliefs of the Children. Beliefs worth fighting even if you're devoted to peace. Which is probably why we keep getting warned that war will never change, but there you go.

Larry the Mutant
Honestly the mutant grew on me, but also because of the name some people gave him. I mean Larry is an adorable name for such a beautifully ugly creature. Also it looks better than the Red Death and every other dragon from the new Httyd live action trailer.

If it's not a direct spoiler, can you tell us more about Genosha as a country?
Minor worldbuilding spoilers ahead:
Genosha is a massive, artificial island (with a surface area of roughly 300 square miles) largely built by Magneto himself and funded by the United Nations Mutant Development Programme, located in the Pacific Ocean, northwest of Hawaii, roughly equidistant between the easternmost point of the Hokkaido region of Japan and the westermost point of Oregon.
It's technically a dictatorship, in the sense that Magneto is and has been the official leader since its founding, but he's more of an ideological figure than a lawmaker. There's a democratically elected parliament for that, as well as an independent branch equivalent to the justice system. Professor Xavier generally acts as an ambassador for the mutant nation, and the X-Men, as previously stated, serve as its mutant outreach taskforce, detecting new mutants around the world via Cerebro and getting to them before unsavory parties can, and preventing possible disasters from high-level mutant powers.
Genosha is protected, rather ironically, by Sentinels modelled after the original Trask Industries robots. Trask Industries was dismantled by SHIELD and the X-Men due to its inhuman (heh) and illegal experimentation, and the Sentinel schematics were gifted to the mutant nation as a sign of good faith, on the condition that the nations of the world get to continue developing on Trask's mutant detection and defense tech.

i can't believe that the first ever image that surfaced about the movie (I think at the end of 2021!) actually already gave us a hint about how this movie was going to end... I was just so in denial about it that I completely erased those early theories out of my mind. Not to say that I didn't love the movie, I had a blast in the theater, but that ending with everyone learning about and accepting the turtles and them going to school was not for me. Maybe I'll change my mind about it when I see future installments of this new version, but for now I'm being one of those sulking older fans about it.
