MUTANT MAYHEM SPOILERS‼️

Yk but what I REALLY LOVED about mutant mayhem were the characterizations!

Raph's anger issues aren't the main focus of his character and something he needs to overcome but actually something that helps them by the end of the movie

Leo isn't cool, collected or a natural leader

He's a dork and a nerd (which we've seen a lot in newer iterations) A SIMP AND A SNITCH!

Donnie isn't a tech genius, he's a NERDY KID WHO LIKES ANIME AND K-POP

honestly I really thought that donnie was gonna hack into the machine or sumn when they tried to stop it just because we're so used to him doing that

Mikey's extroversion, optimism and energy doesn't characterize him as the youngest/dumbest/most naïve of the brothers, he's just a fun loving theater kid AND DOESN'T GET BABIED (that point is so important to me)

And ofc most importantly

ok so I’ve been thinking about it and we know there’s deleted scenes in mutant mayhem for needing to pg up this movie (like some of the storyboards have come out) but I think there’s totally a scene or shot when superfly gives his backstory missing cuz I’m 100% sure he murdered the guy that chased down him and the mutants in front of them right?

Like they animated that sequence but stopped it short, then he tells the turtles he beat him to an inch of his life but that reaction shot with the ketchup blood spray looks more like he originally said he murdered him, and matches the tone of that scene better. It would then extra explain why later when the turtles turn against him all the other mutants were like “kids stop and turn the car around or else he’s gonna be REALLY mad” cuz they’ve seen him fucking murder someone. Like the implications of their first outing to the human world ending with superfly beating a man to death in an alley in front of the siblings he raised would absolutely make them more afraid of him and unwilling to question him.

Also adds to the juxtaposition between him and splinter there where splinter ran cuz keeping his kids safe was more important than letting out his aggression about the world that’s always hated him, vs superfly who you know, murdered a man in front of his own family.

Really wish they had a higher rating so we got to see the darker tone in scenes like that

Saw Mutant Mayhem on Friday, it was lovely! This turtle had a lot of nervous energy and I kept wondering if he was gonna have a meltdown at some point, haha.

omgomgomg you GUYS im only half way through tottmnt so far but its so important to me oh my god im crying. loving the implication that raph both read and remembered leos comic about them and reused characters from it to upkeep a continuity between both of their stories im going crazy. also the purple dragons r still so good to me i love them they have been my fav for so long and now even more so. hun i love u so much

it is so unbelievably funny to me the way they salvage the characters they couldnt get the voice actors back for. like splinter speaking in vermin the whole time or being voice overed by raph or like ray fillet saying like the same 5 soundbits over and over. also rod is so silly i love him so much hes me i love him
