it still cracks me up to my bones that the romance plot that ended as an open ended sad separation was the cute, soft university boys who has multiple romantic musical numbers together and not the bodyguard/mafia boss who tried to kill each other and had sex against a mirror or the bodyguard/mafia 2.0 boss who tried to kill each other twice and had sex in a torture dungeon after their therapy hedgehog died

Nikolai adopts trans people, whose parents abandoned/disowned them after coming out. He does this very frequently too, actually. While he may not actively seek said trans people out, he attracts them either way. Someone needs to care about them, and so he takes on the job of being their father. He'll support them through their transition and keep in contact with them, keeping them safe from their actual parents as well. He absolutely adores his trans sons, daughters and children and makes sure they know that. His "children" don't need to be actual children or teenagers, though, as he adopts adults as well.

thought about your red again but this time i thought about how legitimately heartwrenching it was for blue to see it all from the sidelines and it really hurt me...

like can you imagine your childhood friend being put on a pedestal and reaching a status where the people who previously looked down upon him and even dehumanized him to an extent suddenly idolize him like he is godsend on earth whereas the only mentions of you are the equivalent of getting breadcrumbs in terms of popularity. "the one who tried so hard but didnt make it". "second place". "someone who just couldn't understand pokemon the same way his rival did". constantly being undermined like you're just some overconfident child who did not understand what he was digging into yet blue and red understood their own pokemon well enough (even if it was on different emotional or spiritual levels).

but then you're suddenly brought upon the realization that the title you've been striving so hard for is a death trap; and that it was physically and emotionally eating your friend from the inside out. and you realize through endless wonderings long after your friend simply.. disappears. wondering about why he did it. how he was so selfish as to just leave everyone so worried.. and how much blue hated himself for never really being there for his friend when he needed him the most as the world and popularity took so many bites at him that it killed him. and now red was gone. not dead, but gone.

and whereas people all around what happened to the "victorious, unstoppable champion", blue is forever wondering with heart-breaking guilt stricken thoughts about what happened to that poor boy from pallet town, who's heart was big yet it was paraded on by strangers who spat on him only to later revere him. what happened to his friend who he feels as though he failed so much, even though red hates himself more for everything he put blue through?

GAHH I love getting ramble asks.. thank you.. this is really amazing... and heartbreaking SOB.. I love the parallels between the treatment red vs blue gets... (and how that explains blue's behavior in the game, whenever oak praises red, he also discourages blue.. let's kick grandpa for sport ! <- #oak hater) in the end it still hurts to be placed on a pedestal or to be undermined...

I can't even imagine how much distraught blue felt... to prove to his grandpa, to be acknowledged that his hard work could reach something utterly great, to reach champion- only for that dream to be taken by his friend and oak NEVER congratulated him even if he got there first (let's kick grandpa for sports 2) even though both of them have done a lot to get where they are, red gets all the spotlight while people mostly go to blue to ask about red, still sidelined.. I suppose it all felt really bitter too

but turns out his friend never liked that dream he "took" from him, that he even ran away from it... too overwhelming, couldn't stand to see his friends and family get effected by it.. and that hurts man.. blue realizing in a way, red saved him from a hellish experience by taking the title from him.. now he is left alone with no proper answers whether red is still alive or not, thinking about what he could've done, what could possibly be the better scenario, was it all his fault too?

OH AND YES! THAT. THEIR MUTUAL GUILT... THEIR SELF-HATRED... SO MUCH TO EXPLORE..... post mt silver my beloved.. they're both are such a mess... and they're not communicating their feelings!!!!! gahhh!!!
