CONCERT REVIEW: TOM JONES “AGES & STAGES” TOUR | THE GREEK THEATRE LOS ANGELES
CONCERT REVIEW: TOM JONES “AGES & STAGES” TOUR | THE GREEK THEATRE LOS ANGELES
It was a chilly Monday night in Los Angeles hills when Tom Jones took to the stage at the Greek Theatre. One of the seminal Los Angeles venues was quickly filling up for the Ages and Stages tour. The tour takes Jones generations of fans through his legendary song career, telling tidbits and often witty anecdotes from his life in between songs. The show overall strikes a more intimate and…

I love how Epic is a story about how sometimes, you change in ways you can't undo. Sometimes it's a choice, and sometimes it's something that happens to you; often, it's both. And in some ways, you may be made worse. You may make mistakes. You may become someone you don't recognize, and you may not like who you now see in the mirror. You might lose your old self in the process of surviving.
But when you do, the people who love you will still be there. Not because of who you used to be, or how you might heal or become better, or out of ignorance of who you now are. Just because they love you, and you do not need to be perfect to be loved. You just need to be there.
And they'll be waiting for you.

Epic’s Hermes def fits the certain archetype of characters I go insane for. The characters that are charismatic, silly, and mischievous and you instantly gravitate toward them but under the surface they’re actually really powerful and you do NOT wanna fuck around and find out what happens if you piss them off. It’s the BEST kind of character imo and I’ve realized that way too many of my favorite characters fit this mold… It also helps that his songs and the animatics people make to them are absolute masterpieces.

You know I did think that tweet that was like "have you never seen a movie before? you watch it and information is revealed" was a bit of an exaggeration but legit the three people behind me last night at 'The Boy and the Heron' not only were talking to each other for the ENTIRE runtime of the film, every SINGLE time anything interesting happened AT ALL they would instantly start being like "whos that? what's with the bird guy? isn't that the old lady from before? is that his grand-uncle? oh is her power fire? is that because she died in a fire? maybe she's not dead? oh is the world going to disappear? what's with the delivery room? why are they stacking blocks? is the tower from space?" and it took literally ALL of my fucking self-control to not turn around and ask them if they are aware of how movies work.

Clytemnestra was way too lenient I wouldn’t have stopped with just killing Agamemnon I would’ve hunted down every single surviving Greek leader that stood by and did nothing (or worst straight up participated) as my daughter was slaughtered like an animal.
