i think it is very silly to react to dropout's response like "why were people mad, you know the cast and crew are pro palestine" yeah exactly and if they weren't i don't think attempting to push a petition/boycott to them about this would do anything. the result of them acknowledging this was a net good. twenty thousand dollars

#cats #ghhbbb this is the first time I've genuinely considered tumblr blazing a post lol but no.. i shant.. I feel too weird putting financial #information into tumblr or whatever unless I made like a seperate bank account or something not associated with anyhting else lol #but I gave it serious contemplation which is really sayng something (the evil magical spell that all cats cast over u by their perfection)#ANYWAY.................... old man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#it's technically like march 8th but I did his party a little early. I have other pictures to post later maybe too..hrmm #The '1' candle is actually a '4' candle with the side part cut off because they didn't have any 1s #I went all out (like under $15 still lol) and got new birthday decorations for him instead of using the same old #ones from the past like 5 birthdays that I've done for the cats lol..#His theme was rainbows mostly in as light of colors as I could find #The legal age to drive a car in the US is 16 so.... honk honk beep beep.. I shall go out and buy him the most expensive car on the market #as soon as March 8th comes. then he can run little errands (probably mostly getting kibbles or chicken somewhere)#stealing the rotisserie chickens from walmart or something lol #AND they would let him have them. He would drive up and walk inside and they'd call the manager to come over #and they would be so moved by his presence and his big goofy stare that they would just be like..... okey.. have all the chicken in the #entire store. Actually. have the store. it's yours now. And This would continue all the way up the chain until he was handed #the entire walmart company. And every other company. a boy who owns everything. probably wouldnt use it for evil. he'd just abolish #everything and then focus on eating chickens.. ........ chibken son...

You know, judging by how fast Wen Qing caved on Wen Ning's showing up in Yiling with wwx and jc, even though she was real mad about it, I bet he has been doing this to her for years.

Probably started by bringing her injured animals to doctor on as a kid. Later on, not necessarily a lot later, he started dragging in bullied disciples to patch up and hide from Wen Xu or somebody, and then probably he'd just kind of...fold a lot of them into his canonical personal retinue of loyal subordinates, however that worked exactly.

Wet kitten Wen Ning constantly dragging smaller wetter kittens back to his big sister to protect. She has tried all the arguments already. She knows there's no budging him.

Also lmaoooo hang on, Wen Ning had Wen Qing outnumbered a lot of the time, didn't he. She didn't have personal minions she could trust like that. These people just extracted a high-status prisoner from the custody of an erratic and violent superior pursuing a personal grudge without blinking, for their Wen-gongzi.

Wen Ning's ability to get up to shenanigans due to all the pathetic life-forms she'd allowed him to accumulate must have dawned on her with belated horror.

As Rings of Power season 2 begins, I am just gonna say one thing before we get into the chaos.

I will NOT have people being racist or misogynistic about this show on my blog. The first season was bad for many reasons, but the diverse cast members were not any of those. If I hear "woke" or "Guyladriel" one more time I'm actually gonna go all Bullroarer Took on y'all and invent a worse version of golf.

You can dislike the plot, that's okay. You can dislike the hair and costumes, that's okay. You can dislike the characters and how they are written, that's okay. You can dislike the writing, the direction, the pacing, the scenery, the disloyalty to the lore. That's all okay. God knows I've complained endlessly about this show and how good it genuinely could have been.

What isn't okay is being racist and misogynistic about it. I don't care if "Tolkien made them all white and would hate the woke bullshit" because that isn't true. From what we know of Tolkien and his evolution through the years, he was very progressive for his time, growing more so during his years. I believe that he probably would have hated the butchery of his lore and world, but he would have accepted and encouraged the diversity.

So that being said, I'm going to continue watching the show and being wary and I'm gonna keep posting my criticisms and wants for it. But if I see ANY of you being racist about it, be prepared for a tall hobbit with a golf visor and polo shirt.

Fate really does not work correctly around Critical Role.

So many things happened that weren't really supposed to that lined up events so that the last episode Sam played in before cancer surgery was the fight with Otohan and the most logical last move was FCG self-destructing.

FCG was a reflection of where Sam was & what he wanted to explore in 2021 when he was healthy & joking he liked exploring other people's damage because he had none of his own.

As someone who also had a serious illness, there's a huge wall between who I am now & who I was before.

Somehow things lined up such that getting near the end of Sam's last episode for a while, he had a chance to express everything FCG had learned and experienced through their journey about themselves and the gods while neatly ending their story in a really meaningful way.

It wasn't planned that way, but it really was probably the best possible scenario for the story overall.

I know I probably could not play my pre-illness characters again. They'd be different people because I'm a different person. I think a hard permanent demarcation is good.

Just another wildly improbable series of events that end up having a bizarrely fitting narrative structure in a real world that isn't supposed to have narrative structures. I've joked for years that Avandra has their backs, but she really did have a place for her little robit.

I'm immensely glad the outcome is we get to see Sam back at the table exploring things he was missing out on with FCG like being horny and charismatic and lying. Life is short, play a sinking hot evil Minotaur Tragedy Bard/Oath Breaker Paladin propositioning everyone.
