The Adventure Zone Wiki Migration
Hello TAZ community!
As you may know just from trying to navigate the website, Fandom.com is not all that user-friendly. Half your screen gets taken up by a video you never asked to play, and ads are constantly popping in at the sides. Overall, I'm not a fan of the platform because of their business model, but the wiki is a very useful resource, and I know many TAZ fans share these feelings.
That is why I have begun migrating The Adventure Zone Wiki to miraheze, an entirely non-profit wiki-hosting site which runs on MediaWiki, the same platform Wikipedia uses.
The new wiki can be found at adventurezonewiki.miraheze.org
While all of the content has been moved over, it still has some formatting errors from the platform switch. If you have a moment to help out as you see these errors, it would be greatly appreciated!
If you love TAZ and being able to access episode information, character details, and everything else, the wiki is a great resource for that! But it needs contributions! Wikis are user-run, and every edit counts.
The old Fandom wiki is still up, and will continue to be up, but as one of the people who have been consistently updating the wiki for information recently, I'm not going back there. All of my edits will be done at adventurezonewiki.miraheze.org, and the most updated information will be there.
Even if you do not intend to edit the wiki, any amount of sharing helps, as the migration will only be successful if people know about it! So spread the word!

Welcome to the blog for the independent The Adventure Zone wiki!
We are a fan-run encyclopedia hosted by Miraheze, a free, volunteer-run ad-free wiki hosting platform, based on MediaWiki, the same software Wikipedia runs on.
The Adventure Zone wiki was started on Fandom.com in 2015, and was edited as the show started airing. In April and May of 2023, the active users migrated all data to the new platform.
We currently stand as a HUGE work in progress. Virtually every page needs extreme edits, and we are working on setting up several editing guides and making those accessible. You should see a lot of changes in the coming months.
In the meantime while we wait for these organization techniques to come together, and for style guides to be updated, you can peruse the pages and add any missing information you notice.
Make sure to follow this blog for all wiki updates-- and feel free to send any questions you have to our inbox! And if you want to be involved in this community endeavor (including collaboratively creating these guides), join us in our discord!

Miraheze is a great platform and has a similar set up to FANDOM so it's easy for migrating users to learn. If you haven't already, PLEASE join us in prioritizing independent wikis running on non profit platforms. This includes going to an independent wiki for information rather than a FANDOM one, even if the FANDOM one shows up higher in search results.
Indie wiki buddy is a great browser extension to use to redirect you; they have a database of registered independent wikis and it's growing every day. Just last month, our wiki was added to the list - look it's even at the top (it's sorted alphabetically)!

Our url is adventurezonewiki.miraheze.org
Again, if you want to want to support independent wikis, it doesn't need to only be by editing. Just using them instead of the outdated, overcrowded FANDOM counterparts is a great step ahead. People put together this information because they care about it, and want others to be able to use it, and it's there for you to use-- and if you see a need for a revision or a citation, or even a page that doesn't even exist yet-- make the edit! You don't even need an account. Wiki editing can be daunting but it is a huge collaborative effort, from using it as a resource, to commenting, to editing, to administration -- it is all a part of having a successful wiki.
Please for the love of god, if you value whatever media or whatever you're creating a wiki for:
DO NOT USE FANDOM WIKIA
Not just because Fandom wiki is just straight up adware. But because they will happily take all your rights as a wiki owner away and give it to a corporation in the name of profits, like they did to the McDonald's wiki or y'know, completely destroy LGBTQ+ wikis on many identities (including removing nearly every aroacespec labels including demisexual, greyromantic, and many other labels, including many more I used!) all without the permission or consent of the admins of the wiki to "make LGBTQ+ identities easier to understand" and replaced the admins with their own chosen ones, of which iirc were very questionable in their behavior.
"What are alternatives then?"
Fandom Wikia runs off a FREE open-source software known as MediaWiki, it's the same thing Wikipedia, Bulbapedia, and many others use.
This means that you can host your own wiki, or use any other wiki farm such as Miraheze, which is what the wiki I help run uses.
The best part about WikiMedia is that something made on one wiki can be cross-compatible with another. We often use and base our templates off of other wikis, and it makes it somewhat easier to transfer from FANDOM if necessary.
Stop FANDOM's monopoly over wikis, they'll stab you in the back as soon as it's a choice between the user or profits.

Thoughts on the incident?
#06 stream gaming server immediately getting out of hand#for the uninitiated that arent heavy browsers of the sonic wiki as i have recently come to be:#the sonic wiki like never uses the fucking game titles when talking about stuff that happened across the series#instead they make up these like completely arbitrary ''incident'' names to refer to them#like its not ''during the events of sonic heroes'' it's ''during the neo metal sonic incident''#it's so stupid and infuriating it's like completely inaccessible if you don't already know stuff about a given game#the POINT of a WIKI is to make your information ACCESSIBLE!!!! stop obfuscating it in your dumbass coded terms!!!!#what the fuck is ''the newtrogic high zone incident''!!!! just call it knuckles' chaotix!!!!!! oh my god!!!!#ive PLAYED knuckles chaotix and i don't know what you're talking about!!!!#and they get SO STUPID with the names. fucking sonic R is 'the world grand prix' incident. HAVING RACES IS NOT AN INCIDENT. SHUT UP#one of them [i literally dont even remember the game] is 'the death egg mk II incident' except there is no listed first death egg incident#sonic adventure is 'the chaos incident'‚ which. 'chaos incident' could refer to practically fucking anything that happens in this series#it goes on and on.#msab#off-art#this isnt the ask i was working on but it was time-relevant and quick and easy to just shit out since it's been a bit

i don’t even know if we caught walrusman adventurezone’s name but i absolutely adore this concept for a villain and henchperson duo. walruses eat shrimp and im imagining like. that’s literally what was happening and then they both got transformed
#the adventure zone#like ‘i can’t eat him NOW. he’s half human! i do have morals’ but that predator dynamic is still there which is how he keeps his authority#hoping for kind of a dread pirate roberts vibe tbh#‘good night krilliam. sleep well. i’ll probably eat you in the morning’#the fandom wiki is no help lol because like. on one hand it did just come out today but on the other hand#that website has not been consistently updated since like. partway through ethersea#one of these days i tell myself i’m going to take notes while i relistening to old campaigns and try to fix it up#i genuinely don’t know if most people have moved to another site bc fandom.com sucks. or if the listenership has just dropped that harshly#i rly have been enjoying this so far. i feel like i’ve mostly just seen people knee-jerking and like. expecting the worst#it’s a pastiche. and they’re clearly having fun with it#i always love when they have guest VAs too#mine#taz

calling all PJO fanfic readers!

In the interest of acknowledging great works by fandom writers, DemigodPolls is going to share a big year-end collection of 2024 Percy Jackson fanfic recommendations! In the comment section below or on this AO3 post, leave recommendations for the best PJO fanfics you've read - but there is one major rule: they MUST have been published or last updated in 2024! No exceptions! Reblogs are turned on, but please do NOT leave your recommendations in the reblogs/tags! They will not be considered! Before commenting, make sure that you read the additional specifications below the cut first. If you have nothing to recommend, please do reblog to help support fandom writers and spread the word! Thank you!!!

What we want:
strong grammar
strong writing skills
accurate/interesting depictions of PJO characters
angst/romance/drama/adventure/friendship/character studies/etc
accurately tagged stories (i.e. stories that don't surprise you with untagged triggering content)
stories written with love for the percy jackson universe and its characters
What we DON'T want:
stories that were published/last updated before 2024
stories about ships that would be age-inappropriate in canon, unless the characters are CLEARLY aged up in the story (e.g. no olympians x teenage characters, unless the younger character is explicitly an ADULT when they first meet in the fanfic)
stories that contain non-c*n, inc*st, p*dophilia
stories under 1000 words
stories that fall under "character x everyone"
stories about original characters (stories that contain some OCs in non-protagonist roles are fine, character x reader/self-inserts are fine)
stories that bash other ships/characters (i.e., don't recommend percabeth fics that bash rachel/perachel)
stories that contain non-PJO crossovers (except for RRverse crossovers, i.e. pjo + tkc is fine, toa alone is fine, tkc alone is not, pjo + harry potter is not)
stories that contain gore/extreme violence/extreme bodily harm
stories that contain cheating/infidelity (I just don't want to read those, sorry)
dialogue-only fanfics/texting-only fanfics
stories that contain W*TTG sp0ilers

can I recommend multiple things?
yes! just make sure to categorize them correctly under the relevant prompts.
can I recommend my own story?
yes, but you are highly, highly encouraged to simultaneously recommend at least one other fanfic that you yourself did not write - let's spread the love! (not required)
is smut okay?
yes! but you must specify clearly that the story contains smut in your comment, and please don't use explicit/overly sexual language in your recommendation. I also reserve the right to refuse to consider stories that contain k*nks I don't want to engage with. (ab0, hardcore bd$m, parental name k*nk to name a few)
are non-english fanfics okay?
you are absolutely welcome to recommend non-english fanfics to others in the comments! but I will not be able to put them on the final recommendation list, because I only speak english and I cannot personally vet their contents, cannot observe their grammar, and could be terribly misled by a translator. I'm very sorry! however, if you would like to put together a similar recommendation collection of non-english stories, I'd be happy to promote it on this blog.
is percico okay?
someone asked about this specifically, so here's my stance: percico is a controversial pairing due to the debated inappropriateness of the canon age gap (approx. 3 years). I personally consider 3 years between minors to be juuust beyond my comfort zone (2 years), so please respect my decision to abide by my own comfortability and refuse to consider stories that feature age gaps of this size or larger involving minors. however, you can recommend percico fics where the age gap is explicitly made smaller, or fics where nico and percy are both explicitly adults! this same rule applies to any other ship in a similar circumstance - check the wiki for canon ages if you're unsure! (and to be clear, this is solely about ages, not about the individual merit of the pairing itself. respectfully - this is me drawing a boundary about what I am comfortable with, so do not argue with me on this topic).
is caleo okay?
this pair is even more controversial nowadays, so here's my stance when it comes to weird magical circumstances: within the logic of the pjo universe, some things that seem strange from a mortal perspective are standard within the books. i.e., it's not weird to date fellow demigods, even if the person you're dating is technically your aunt/uncle/cousin/etc. likewise, it's not "weird" for a teenager to date an immortalized or de-immortalized teenager, because... I genuinely don't know, that's just how the book logic works. for that reason, caleo works are accepted. we're going to apply this same logic to pairs like theyna, which could also potentially have murky circumstances (although I do consider thaluke to be especially iffy, because it heavily depends on the situation that people write them in - so if you're unsure, go ahead and submit it, and I'll use my best judgement from there). however, I cannot begin to express my extreme disinterest in discourse about immortal dating ethics - like, I would rather do anything else. not trying to be sassy here, but I'm going to ask you guys to not pick a fight about these topics, for the simple reason that I have zero interest in debating over situations that could never occur in real-life.
are incomplete/discontinued stories okay?
yes! I'd prefer stories that have at least three chapters, but this is not required. completed one-shots are also fine!
If someone already recommended a story that I like, should I vouch for it?
if you would like to, then absolutely!! you can respond to the appropriate prompt from this account in the comments, or you can reply to the person making the recommendation. just make sure to explicitly state which story you're advocating for.
Comments that do not follow these guidelines may be deleted!

How to make recommendations:
There are two places in which you can make your recs! You can click here to leave them on an AO3 mirror of this post, or do so in the comment section below. If the latter, continue reading. Please leave the story name, author username, story rating, main ship, and main characters in your comments - and if you'd like, definitely add some words about why you like it! AO3 direct links are not necessary, but super appreciated. But if it's not on AO3, please ensure that you make clear where exactly I can locate the story. In the comments below, you'll see comments that you can reply to, sorted by ships/lack thereof. Please sort your recommendations by replying to them accordingly (i.e. if you want to recommend 2 solangelo fics and 1 valgrace fic, leave the 2 solangelo recs under the solangelo prompt, then do the same in the valgrace prompt). You MUST explicitly state somewhere if the fanfic contains smut. If you're not sure where to put your recommendations, make your best guess - but absolutely do NOT intentionally mis-categorize your recommendations (i.e, if the pair is not canon, do not put it in the canon pairing section. Seriously. This makes things much more difficult for me while organizing fics, and I'll probably delete your comment anyway.) Lastly, please be mature about shipping. Nothing irritates me more than fighting about percy jackson ships in 2024. If you see fanfics recommended about pairings (or characters!) that you hate, do the mature thing and just scroll past it/do not engage. Character hate and ship hate is not tolerated on this blog. I am very serious about this - if you are starting a fuss about ships/characters, your comments will be deleted and your account will be permanently blocked. Respect your fellow fandom-mates! I will do my best to moderate this comment section, but before looking through them, please understand that I am not responsible for your individual well-being, and there may be fanfic recommendations that are not appropriate for minors/might contain triggering content/etc.
Here's a little form for those of you who find this easier to use, but you don't have to use it!! However, PLEASE do include the following information in your comment regardless:
story name: author: rating: ship: main characters: additional comments (what's it about? why do you like it? etc):
Don't forget, fanfics published/last updated in 2024 only!
Thank you so, so much for participating! The collection won't be published on this blog until late December, so until then, take your time, check those bookmarks, and read new PJO fanfics! Much love to all of you ♡

Could you do a HC about the ideal partner for Law, Zoro and Kid? What kind of person they would fall for and which traits it needs for a long lasting relationship ❤️
Oooh yes, I can do this!
Written for a GN reader!

Law
Law needs someone who can challenge him, and push him out of his comfort zone.
Someone who isn’t scared to argue with him when they think he is in the wrong.
Law also needs someone independent, he can’t handle high-maintenance or clingy people. He needs to know you can make your own mind up and have your own views regardless of what he thinks.
You need to be okay with his family, the heart pirates are alot to handle but he won’t compromise on this.
Animal lover.
Someone who is okay with limited PDA and knows he has his own way of showing love and affection.
Someone with a wikied sense of humor like his.
Kind, he may not seem it but he needs someone who is soft and kind and tries to bring out his caring side more.
Smart, likes to read, someone who can match him in conversation.
Nerd. If you are also a big nerd into comics he will find common ground with you and feel he can be his true nerdy self around you.
Honest. Law doesn’t like people who lie or try and manipulate him.
If you're loyal to him he’ll be loyal to you.
Alright, so he likes people to be dependent but he also deep down likes being his partners ‘scary dog privilege’
Must hate bread. Or eat the bread from his meals for him.
Understanding. Law has some damage and needs someone who gets that.

Zoro
Zoro doesn’t have a very big checklist of the ‘type of person’ he goes for.
Just don't be loud or bossy and he’ll vibe pretty well with you.
If you are a huge sword nerd he will be all over that and if you also like to work out he will be delighted to have a workout buddy.
Napping is a must. Either snuggle up with him in the sun and take a nap at his side or simply just be okay with him napping as much as he does. He needs someone laid back, and can’t handle a loud or intense personality to date.
He is happy to spend all his time with his partner he just needs someone who is also happy to enjoy a comfortable silence with him.
You don’t need to be into drinking, again, as long as you don’t tell him what he can and can’t do he’s happy. He would like to have a casual drink with you sometimes though, when he’s a little tipsy he is happy to go on long rants and talk about his thoughts and feelings.
Be his partner and his drinking buddy.
Be his emotional support compass. Be able to stir him in the right direction, and I do mean physically and not emotionally there.
Grab him his arm and just pull him.
You need to be firm with him. Loyal and honest and also have a good sense of humor. He likes to have a chuckle and he does have a silly side.

Kid
You need to keep up with this boy. He can’t handle someone who is easily upset or sensitive. He needs someone to match that same wild spark that runs through him.
Have a passion for adventure and don’t be scared to get your hands dirty.
He wants someone who doesn’t shy away from his loud and boisterous nature. Embrace him for him.
Also needs to be liked by Killer. If you don’t pass Killer’s vibe check there is a huge chance you won't pass Kid’s.
He enjoys picking fights and starting arguments, he lives for some passion and some shouting with the person he’s courting so scream, shout, and give him just as good as he does. Challenge him, don’t be scared of offending him.
Be okay with how rough he is, Kid needs someone who understands that and doesn’t try and change who he is, and doesn’t want to sand down his edges.
Be there for him regardless of his flaws and he will open up to you and you can make each other a better person with time and understanding.
Love the thrill of the fight. Nothing makes his heart sing like fighting a hard battle side by side with the person he loves.

I know it's very soon after my last post, but I think I've mostly got a working timeline
There are more specifics I could get into, but I tried to limit the info in this particular timeline to what's super important and identifiable. Like, I have a whole other post I could make about the Justice Society of America and how it led to the creation of the Justice League, or how Amity Park was founded and by whom, but trying to put it all here would be too cumbersome.
My main sources for general info is whatever I can find on the DC Fandom Wiki, as well as my experiences watching various DCAU media growing up and my favorite Batman show, The Batman from 2004 (good god, I didn't realize it was that old). I tried to fit Young Justice in here too, but it actually conflicts with the first two timelines more than I thought it would, so I might just use it for story ideas for after Danny gets adopted. The Wayne Family Adventures webtoon mostly just supplied the template for how I want them to end up by the time Danny enters the picture, leaving the "how did we get here" up to me, which this timeline hopes to solve.
Also, I couldn't find a good source for it, but supposedly Danny Phantom might have taken place in 2014? Which would've been the future for when it came out in 2004. I considered going with that, but ultimately I decided that DP happens in 2004, taking Danny about a year to establish himself before he gets adopted by 2005.
A big part of why I made this timeline in the first place was to make sure I know how old everyone is when things happen, which is why I put their ages everywhere.
1920s - Martha Clark and Jonathan Kent are born sometime in this decade.
1939 - Alfred Pennyworth is born.
1940 - James “Jim” Corrigan (30) “died” and became the Spectre with Aztar, the Vengeance of God. The Justice Society of America is formed, though they are sometimes called the All-Star Squadron when working with those not formally inducted as members of the JSA (including those with and without superpowers).
1952 - The Kents (~30s) are told they cannot have children biologically. Shortly thereafter, they find the Kryptonian baby Kal-El, rename him Clark Kent after Martha’s maiden name, and adopt him as their own son.
1957 - Alfred (18) joins the British military.
1960 - Bruce Wayne is born. Vlad Masters is born.
1961 - Jack Fenton is born. (Google says his birthday is October 2, 1971, but that would make him like 10 when the Ghost Portal Prototype fails, so I’m just gonna set it back an extra decade lol)
1963 - Madeline Elliot is born. (Google says her birthday is March 16, 1973, so same deal as Jack)
1964 - After many misadventures in England, Alfred (25) takes over as the Wayne Family’s butler from his late father. (Bruce 4)
1968 - 8 year old Bruce’s parents are killed. (Alfred 29)
1970 - After 2 years of flailing, Bruce (10) decides to travel the world and learn martial arts, among other things.
1971 - Barbra Gordon is born.
1974 - Dick Greyson is born.
1977 - Jason Todd is born. Superman (25) debuts in Metropolis, inspiring Bruce (17) to change his plans to become a superhero rather than a crime boss. Obviously there were other superheroes around at this time, but none gripped Bruce like Superman did. He will never, ever admit this.
1978 - Superman (26) is quickly inducted into the Justice Society of America.
1980 - Stephanie Brown is born. Cassandra Cain is born. Bruce (20) returns to Gotham and starts his career as Batman. He begins cutting through red tape to regain control of Wayne Enterprises. Meanwhile, Vlad (20), Jack (19), and Maddie (17) are all at the University of Wisconsin and build the prototype Ghost Portal, which fails catastrophically, causing several important chain reactions; Vlad is blasted with Lazarus Water, the Ghost Zone comes into existence, Vlad falls ill, Amity Park’s Lazarus Pit dries up, Pariah enters the Ghost Zone and declares himself Ghost King, etc.
1981 - Tim Drake is born. Disenchanted with the JSA, Superman (29) starts figuring out how to create his own, international superhero team.
1982 - Bruce (22) adopts Dick Greyson (8) after his parents die publicly.
1983 - Vlad (23) discovers he has “ghost powers” and starts figuring out how to use them. Dick (9) discovers Bruce’s (23) secret and Bruce begins training him.
1984 - Bruce (24) finally lets Dick (10) join him on the streets as Robin. Batman and Superman (32) meet for the first time (which plays out similar to how they meet in “The Batman”).
1985 - Bruce takes over Wayne Enterprises just in time for his 25th birthday. With the company secured, Bruce no longer has to prove himself as responsible and plays up his image as a playboy philanthropist to throw off rumors that ditzy but well-meaning Brucie Wayne couldn’t possibly be the dark and brooding Batman.
1986 - Superman (34) approaches Bruce (26) with his plan for the Justice League, hoping Wayne Enterprise would agree to be the “secret” benefactor. Bruce says he’ll think about it. Barbra Gordon (15) takes the name Batgirl for the first time. (Alfred 47, Bruce 26, Dick 12)
1988 - Jasmine Fenton is born. Cass (8) kills someone for the first time, is horrified, and runs away from her assassin father.
1989 - Duke Thomas is born.
1990 - Daniel Fenton is born.
1991 - Jason Todd (14) tries to steal the Batmobile’s tires after his father is sentenced to prison time, putting him on Batman’s radar. (Alfred 52, Bruce 31, Dick 17, Barbra 20)
1992 - Dick (18) decides to strike out on his own as Nightwing. Jason Todd (15) catches the eye of Talia Al Ghul. Shortly after, Jason’s (step-)mom dies of a drug overdose while his father is still in prison so Bruce adopts him, making Jason the second Robin.
1993 - With Nightwing (19) established and able to take over many of Batman’s (33) responsibilities in Gotham, Bruce asks Clark Kent (41) if he’s still interested in his Justice League idea, which he’s now had 7 more years to refine. Global threats had become more common (which threatened Gotham vicariously and he wasn’t confidant he could take them on by himself) and the JSA had become too entangled with the USA government for anyone’s liking. Now was prime pickings for upcoming talent that had grown up with the idea of superheroes as a necessary force in the world that could see the limitations of government funded (and therefore government controlled) superhero teams.
1994 - Stephanie Brown (14) became Spoiler to “spoil” her father’s criminal career as Cluemaster. After his capture and imprisonment, Bruce (34) “convinced” Spoiler to “retire”, though Barbra (23) kept in contact, as did Dick (21) and Jason (17) to a lesser extent. Steph continued to train on her own, planning to rejoin the hero scene when she was a bit older. The Justice League debuts, led by Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman, along with half a dozen other members, though their ranks would quickly expand.
1995 - Jason dies at 18, after being Robin for 3 years. Talia Al Ghul seduces the grieving Bruce (35) to get Jason’s body, accidentally-on-purpose getting pregnant along the way. Jason had unfortunately been dead for a few months by then; however, he was too angry and stubborn for his spirit to move on, despite the lack of magic/ecto to turn him into a ghost, so it clung to his body as the only tether to the living plane, which allowed him to be revived via Lazarus Pit. He still came back pretty zombified, though, so Talia used magic to help restore the connection between his spirit and his body, and had him train with the League of Assassins to keep him sharp. Part of Bruce’s grief spiral was to throw himself into Justice League work. (Alfred 56, Dick 21, Barbra 24)
1996 - Bruce (36) is spiraling from his loss when Tim Drake (15) basically forces himself onto Batman as the third Robin.
1997 - Cassandra Cain (17) arrives in Gotham, trying to keep a low profile but couldn’t help but save Commissioner Gordon from her assassin father, putting her on Batman’s (37) radar. After Barbra (26) is paralyzed and forced to retire as Batgirl, she asked Bruce to offer Cass the title in her stead, taking on the role of “man in the chair” with the name Oracle. Barbra also pressures pretty much everyone to train with Steph (17), since she can’t anymore.
1998 - Jason (21) returns to Gotham as the Red Hood. (Alfred 59, Bruce 38, Dick 24, Barbra 27, Tim 17, Cass 18)
1999 - Cass (19) takes on the name Black Bat, giving the title Batgirl to Steph (19) as she (re)makes her superhero debut.
2000 - Settling into more of an anti-hero role after getting rid of (most of) his hatred for Bruce for not avenging him, Jason (23) has turned his sights on Crime Alley, doing whatever he feels is necessary to make it safer for the families (but especially the kids) that are forced to live there. He unknowingly is fulfilling Bruce’s original plan of becoming a crime boss and dissecting Gotham’s crime problem from the inside out. (Alfred 61, Bruce 40, Dick 26, Barbra 29, Tim 19, Cass 20, Steph 20)
2001 - I’m going to modify his story, but Duke Thomas (12) ends up on Bruce’s radar.
2004 - Danny Fenton (14) has an accident that gives him “ghost powers”. (Vlad 44, Jack 43, Maddie 41, Jazz 16)
2005 - Damian Wayne (10) becomes the fourth Robin, pushing Tim (24) to move out and become Red Robin instead. (Alfred 66, Bruce 45, Dick 31, Barbra 34, Cass 25, Jason 28, Steph 25, Duke 16, Danny 15, Jazz 17)
-
Damian’s first, big, world-ending crisis is barely a month or two after his arrival, when Cris Allen enlists the Batclan to help him fight Pariah Dark and they join Danny Phantom’s resistance.
I haven’t quite decided what will happen next but Batman figures out Danny isn’t fully dead like the rest of the inhabitants of the Ghost Zone and looks into it after Pariah is defeated. From here, I want it to take less than a year for Danny to be in Bruce’s custody. Duke (at 16) is recruited around the same time as Danny (still 15), so both of them begin training together. I’m sure Bruce wouldn’t mind pulling some strings to get Jazz (17) into a college in Gotham, potentially getting her to study under Barbra/Oracle.

The Sallow - TAZ Wiki page
For today's prompt in @taznovembercelebration I drew sick. And I knew that this month I wanted to try and fit some wiki work into the challenge! So I decided to write about the illness that hits Founders' Wake in Ethersea. I was surprised it didn't have a page yet, but I was happy to centralize everything about it in one place, because it exists in bits and pieces otherwise. You can check it out here:

hey balu, do you know how to recolor skin / how a coloring psd works for that? like for a character that's pale and not the shade they should be ( cough cough natlan ) asking bc I want to that but idk how
Hiya, anon! I can explain how I personally do it, but here's a huuuuuuge disclaimer: I'm colourblind, so I heavily rely on colour wheel pointers. Throughout this tutorial, you'll see me constantly comparing where the pointer is and trying to use my somewhat limited knowledge of colour theory. I'm sure other creators have other ways to do this that are much simpler and/or more effective; you should look for and check out other tutorials here on Tumblr, YouTube, or Twitter!
Due to the limited previews of images on Tumblr, you can also open the images on new tabs to see more details.
For religious and political reasons, I will not use a Natlan character as an example. Instead, I'll use Candace (also from Genshin Impact) as our muse. Specifically, I will use her character card art image, which can be found on the Genshin Impact fandom wiki. The image quality is not so great, so that's why we'll see some bleeding pixels here and there. Dealing with those is another tutorial altogether. Also, if you meant an absolutely pale character (with littler to no melanin), that would be another tutorial, too. So, I'll be sticking with these examples and explanations here! This can give you a starting point.
In this tutorial, we will go from this before (left) to this after (right):
Also, I'd like to point out that these steps are for this specific picture/character. Though the same logic can be applied to other characters and images, it's imperative to remember, especially when you're starting your editing adventures, that there is no fool-proof and 100% universal PSD. I'm just explaining the logic behind how a colouring PSD works and some of my mental processes behind it.
Please consider reblogging, liking this post, and/or supporting me on ko-fi if this helped you! That way, I can keep bringing you tutorials like this faster and more effectively. ~
Now, let's begin!
First, we must notice that skin colours (even paler ones) are shade variations of yellows and reds. If we check the hex code colour/colour pointer on the colour wheel, we will see that Candace's skin colour is at the intersection between red and yellow, and is on the lighter/less saturated part.
Here, I am deepening/saturating the blues of her clothes by creating a Hue/Saturation layer, changing from Master > Blues and adjusting the Hue and Saturation values. Colour theory basics: opposing colours on the colour wheels will give a more significant idea of contrast; the bluer colours will appear colder, and the warmer colours will appear hotter and, therefore, more saturated.
In this second step, I am creating a Selective Colour layer, focusing on the Reds. I want this to be highly reddish for now, so I'm lowering the Cyans to the minimum values I can. Notice how the colour wheel pointers went down, meaning we are in a redder, more saturated and more precise zone. The darker the skin, the redder its colours will be in pictures.
Thirdly, I am now creating a Colour Balance layer. Since I want to adjust the warmer colours (e.g., Reds), I am adding more reds, magentas, and yellows.
The exact process I did for Candace's clothes, I'll do for her accessories. Her accessories blended too much with her skin tone (hex code-wise and I imagine that for the normal eye, too). So, to make the yellows on her accessories pop and be more different from her skin, I created yet another Hue/Saturation layer and changed from Master > Yellows, altering the Hues, Saturation and Lightness values.
Now that we have the image's primary colours (blues, reds, yellows) separated, it is time to deepen/saturate the reds. So here, I made another Selective Colour layer, also focusing on the Reds. Notice that now I'm also increasing the Cyan values. Why? Because Cyans make the reds look darker, and I want exactly that. So everything will increase in value.
To further deepen these colours, I created a Curves Layer and tweaked each RGB curve. I made the blues lighter; meanwhile, the greens and reds went darker. Again, colour theory! Notice on the colour wheel that her skin is extremely red and saturated. This is precisely what I want. Why? Well...
... Because now, by using a Selective Colour layer again, I can make her skin magentaish. Pure magentas are rare in pictures, even fantasy/2D characters. Generally, you will find variations of purples, pinks or reds, but magentas are more difficult to find. Therefore, they're easier to work with/edit. Even if the character had magenta colours, we could've isolated them beforehand, too. This step guarantees that my PSD will solely focus on her skin tone, basically.
Our final step is to create another Hue/Saturation layer and change the setting from Master > Magentas. We will decrease the Saturation and Lightness values and slide the Hue bar to the right. And now, check the colour wheel: it's a beautiful dark brown! It's popping a lot against the yellows and blues. ~
This is where we started vs where we finished!
So there you have it! A speedy but hopefully informative tutorial on how colouring PSD works and how you can quickly love your characters a bit more when doing edits and graphics for them!
Again, please consider reblogging, liking this post, and/or supporting me on ko-fi if this helped you! That way, I can keep bringing you tutorials like this faster and more effectively. ~

Since irredeamable wont release for some time. Ill be presenting some of my notable projects. I`ll start with the one i would most recommend. It's pretty old and janky but i think there is plenty to find for those willing to get past its flaws.

Black heart: Play it here and now!
One of my most Ambitious project ever, black heart is a sidescrolling action-adventure game, highly inspired by the zelda series. In it, you play as 3 sisters, going on a perilous journey to rescue their people from the tyrannical grasp of an evil empress.
Pros: -Each of the 3 sisters comes with a unique feel. From their attack pattern to their health, physics, and items. Much of the game is built around those distinctions. -The story is simple but effective, with a clear goal to achieve and many characters to meet. -The world is very expensive and diverse, containing several interconnected zones to discover and explore. -The lore is complex, nuanced, and intricate, each of the races is well-developed with their own history, culture, heroes, and villains. -The dungeons are large and numerous. Each features its own type of puzzle and distinct aesthetic. -The bosses are all unique and ambitious, often featuring several phases, mechanics, and attack patterns. -There are a whole lot of secrets to find, certain fun and silly, others strange or creepy.
Cons: -The main characters are pretty bland and display little personality outside of the few traits they are given. -Combat can be pretty bare-bone and uninteresting outside of boss fights -Some of the writing and lore have not aged well and could be considered a bit tasteless or insensitive. -Since puzzles are often built around specific characters which have their own hp, losing them can force players to backtrack.
Recommended to: -Fans of Zelda games who crave another game in the genre. -People who want to get lost in a big and complex world. -People who want to experience a fantasy world unlike any other. -People who long for a game that they can discover for themselves without risking being spoiled by walkthroughs or wikis.
Estimated Duration: 6-8 hours.

so like, Johann lost his birthday
Let’s start off by saying that I wanted to post a fact about Johann today, since I’ve been trying to post some stuff since I love him. I vaguely remembered that his birthday was listed on his TAZ Fandom.com Wiki page, and I thought it was just a cute little fact to share with you guys like my previous one. However, as I saw it on the wiki, I noticed something peculiar: it had zero citation!
That’s not totally strange. A lot of fandom wikis miss citations for information. The TAZ Fandom.com Wiki is no exception. But I strive to give all the facts about Johann, because he’s my favourite character and he deserves it! So, I got to work trawling through every episode he showed up in, and all the TTAZZ episodes he’s mentioned in, to find where Griffin mentioned his birthday being October 12th.
Except… it doesn’t exist. There is not a single mention of Johann’s birthday throughout any of the episodes he’s in, including TTAZZ. And come to think of it, why would Johann have a birthday in the months we use IRL when they use no such calendar in TAZ? Why would a minor character have a birthday before the literal PCs?
Johann’s page is certainly not free from past vandalism after all. Though it’s eventually fixed pretty quickly.

So, I went digging, and guys…
EIGHT. FUCKING. YEARS.
For eight fucking years, misinformation about Johann has been up on his wiki page with no question about it. It’s not real. And you wanna know how I know? I made an account on Fandom.com and looked through the edit history of Johann’s page to find out when this information was added to his page. Looking through, I found the usual instances of wiki vandalism, especially during the time of his death in the podcast, but I found one silly instance of it.

Changing a character’s gender to be trans is a tale as old as time. Annoying vandalism, but easy to fix and relatively harmless (also trans Johann based as fuck). However, two minutes later, this contributor makes another edit…

YOU. It’s the same person, indicated by their identical IP address.
But okay. Just because the agender edit is a baseless fact doesn’t necessarily mean the birthday is. I still don’t know their source, since they didn’t fit it. Right? But then you check the date they made those two edits on…

Yeah this is fake lol.
While the Agender Johann vandalism was quickly fixed by Fandom contributor SomeAlexGuy (thank you), the birthday vandalism slipped under the radar. Untouched for eight years. It’s even made its way to the The Adventure Zone Miraheze! Unfortunately, I cannot edit the wiki page, since my Fandom account was made just today and I need about four days to be able to edit stuff, so if anyone has the power to delete the false information on both the Fandom wiki and the Miraheze I would greatly appreciate it. If not, then I will delete it myself in four days on Fandom, and apply to be a TAZ Miraheze contributor.
And in the low chance that vandal was right and Johann’s birthday is correct, anyone who can find the source and provide me a citation are free to edit it back. WITH. CITATIONS. Until then, please don’t vandalize wiki pages, but especially the page of such a minor character with very few eyes to fact check them like the major characters, and have misinformation stay up for almost a decade.
Thank you for reading.

The Adventure Zone
Clint, Justin, Travis and Griffin McElroy have played a lot of DnD by now. And a fair bit that isn’t DnD.
Their first campaign, Balance, started off slightly ramshackle. Griffin DMs, Travis plays Magnus Ironsides, Clint plays Merle Highchurch and Justin plays Taako, using the then-brand new DnD 5e (2014). After modifying the adventure module Lost Mines of Phandelver, Griffin made a real zinger of a world and campaign. The result, in Justin’s words, was “the story of four idiots who played DnD so hard that they made themselves cry”. I’m pretty sure I did too, and I’m pretty sure you will too. This set of characters – Tres Horny Boys – are also the most frequent attendees at live shows – although I wish they’d give their live show adventures actual names. Balance also includes two adventures by the McElroy’s Maximum Fun Network colleagues, and a special mini-series Imbalance that could potentially set up for a new campaign, but that was quite some time ago and nothing’s happened so probably not. Honestly, the characters earned their retirement.
After finishing Balance, the McElroys decided to experiment a bit to decide what their next campaign would be, so they did three short adventures before deciding which to continue. Commitment was run by Clint using Fate Core and was superhero themed. Amnesty was run by Griffin using Monster of the Week and was a sort of rural folk horror. Then there was Dust, run by Travis using Urban Shadows, and was a supernatural wild west theme. After all three mini-campaigns, they decided to continue with Amnesty. (Note, if you look at the list of episodes, the post-mortem is listed three times, under each of the three campaigns.)
Please be aware that I have yet to listen to Amnesty beyond the experimental mini-campaign, so I’m getting details off a wiki. Justin plays Duck Newton, Travis plays Aubrey Little, and Clint plays Edmund Chicane and Arlo Thacker. Amnesty would also have two shows using its characters.
After Amnesty wrapped, they went back to DnD 5e, this time with Travis DMing for Graduation. This is another campaign I haven’t go to yet, so again this is from a wiki. Griffin plays Sir Fitzroy Maplecourt, Justin plays Master Firbolg, and Clint plays Argo Keene. They are enrolled in a sidekick program at Hieronymous Wiggenstaff’s School for Heroism and Villainy.
Near the end of Graduation is where I discovered Adventure Zone, which is why I haven’t got to Amnesty and Graduation yet; I’ve had to back-listen. My first at-time-of-broadcast season was Ethersea. Ethersea came with a prologue, a five-episode game of The Quiet Year, which tells the tale of settlement from its formation to destruction over the course of a year. The McElroys used that, along with ideas and modifications Griffin devised, to create a predecessor settlement to the main setting, and built the town that would be their characters’ home – an underwater town sheltering from a cataclysm above. The main campaign was DnD 5e with Griffin DMing, Justin playing Amber Gris, Travis playing Devo la Main, and Clint playing Zoox. In my opinion, this is one of the best settings I’ve encountered, and having the players join in making it, all sorts of details from the prologue led to incredibly important elements in the campaign, but…the campaign was a little too rushed. I think it needed another two arcs before the finale. And honestly, I’m still a little confused by the ending. Maybe when I relisten to write it up I’ll understand it better.
Then they did a second season of Dust, although Griffin and Clint made new characters, before launching into their next major campaign: Steeplechase, run by Justin using Blades in the Dark, set in a theme park somewhat inspired by Disney World, except self-enclosed and evil. Griffin played Montrose Pretty, Clint played Emerich Dreadway, and Travis played Beef Punchley. This was a really wild story, with something of a tendency to veer all over the place and certainly great fun to listen to…but they were really, really bad at playing Blades. Blades has a certain format, a certain way it works – the idea is you’re a team of crooks doing scores to steal or whatever, and the game is all going from score to score. While that was the initial set-up, and the first…half or so was indeed formatted as scores, it then ended up much more free-form. So, if you want to know how to play Blades, don’t try to learn from Steeplechase.
After that, another short campaign called Outre Space, using the Marvel Multiverse Role Playing System and a kind of continuation of a comic Clint wrote for Marvel. Then they returned to DnD 5e for TAZ vs Dracula, a romp through public domain in the name of killing the most famous vampire. Griffin DMed, Travis played Crawford “Mutt” Muttner, Clint played Brother Phileaux, and Justing played Lady Godwin. This was one of the weirder games. It didn’t feel all that structured, and it seemed quite a lot like Griffin was just throwing everything in there. It’s definitely fun to try to follow on and see how many references you get. They have also now had four extra adventures, all named after the basis of what they’ll be encountering.
Then they launched straight into Abnimals, a creation of Travis’ in both setting and system. It’s based off Saturday morning cartoons of anthropomorphised animal heroes with impossibly well-defined abs. They’re also aiming to make this campaign a bit more suitable for little ears, and they’re doing a good job so far. Travis is running the game, Griffin is playing Navy Seal, Clint is playing Roger Moore, and Justin is playing Ax-o-Lyle. This is the current campaign, and I’m enjoying it quite a bit. I also managed to fall behind before is started and ended up binging nearly twenty episodes in about three weeks.
In between all these campaigns and mini -campaigns, there have also been a number of shows using a variety of systems. Some of them, like Dadlands, have follow-ups, while others, like Holiday Brawl, are stand-alone.
There are also semi-regular installments of "The The Adventure Zone Zone", basically just them talking about what's been going on in TAZ.
Now, I believe there is in fact more TAZ available than what is listed here, if one was to become a Maximum Fun member. I have not done so yet, because I’m not caught up on the non-exclusive content. If/when I do take the plunge, I will add that content to the list, but be much more sparing in my reviews, to respect the membership requirement.
TAZ has lasted a long while, because the McElroys are very good at being entertaining. They’re not the best people to learn the mechanics from, even when they’re not inventing whole new systems. But what they excel at is using the tools of the game system to tell the stories they want to play with. Using just DnD 5e, they have explored the most entry-level high fantasy world; a magic school; an underwater city and its environs; and a magic-punk city with every character more than 95 years old. They have made the system more versatile than it was ever intended to be, by the simple expedient of “the story comes first”. That’s not throwing away the rules and discarding the dice, that’s making whatever mechanic you need to allow the story to be told. Their many stories speak to their success.
