Idk if anyone's mentioned this yet. But there's something unintentionally funny about the song that they picked for the Minecraft movie trailer being the title track to the Beatle's Magical Mystery Tour; a song for a film of the same name that, even after 60 years worth of re-evaluation, is regarded as one of the Beatle's biggest failures.

A sign of good things to come I'm sure.

Obviously i hate it. so much. fuck neil bc this all leads back to him

But you know what other movie is 98 minutes including credits?

The princess bride.

And that is to this day my favourite movie ever since i watched it years ago. Because of how much plot, and humour, and characterisation, and backstory, and excitement and action and adoration fits into such a short amount of time

If you’ve watched it, you’ll know exactly what i mean, and if you haven’t, it’s an amazing example of what can be done with a limited time frame.

It would take some extremely good writing, which i don’t know if we’ll get, to make something at that level, with that brilliant of a plot. But the fact that it is possible gives me hope.

You can do an awful lot in 90 minutes if you try
