First of all you'd have to like, establish whether bnha is an alternate universe or just The Future If No Apocalypse with quirks being traced back to the descendants of the kids born without mothers

So let's say it's that - the glowing baby was the "first quirk" but the truth is people had powers before that. But - well, the Umbrella Academy was obviously a marketing gimmick to those in the future! There were even comics based on them

In the future, you might find some of those comics in museum exhibits dedicated to depictions of powers in the pre-quirk era, but they're just fun depictions and much less popular than, oh, DC or MCU comics which are also in the exhibits!

End of s2 doesn't happen I guess in this au?? No sparrow academy at least lmao. So, the Umbrella Academy stop the apocalypse (again) and the Commission threat is? Neutralized? Whatever. They decide to jump back to the future

Five warns them that time travel is a crapshoot, that he has no fucking idea when they'll land beyond some nebulous "future" because Five can at least control the direction if not exactly how long

Also, Five is like. Super tired. Incredibly tired. Homeboy still has a healing gut wound, time traveled twice, has been jumping all over the place, gotten even more injured, experienced paradox psychosis, and managed to undo time all in the space of like, two weeks. There actually more than that but we don't have time to get into how fucking tired Five is from his ~Month of Hell

Like genuinely this is like putting someone almost delirious from lack of sleep in the driver's seat of a car and expecting to get to your destination in one piece

But hey, the siblings are like "do it uwu" and Five has sacrificed everything for them already so why not get behind the wheel again

So Five jumps them, and of course something goes wrong because Five has pushed his powers like a great big rubber band and honestly it was only a matter of time before he lost his grip and it snapped back to hit him

Let's handwave a little bit - Reginald made them all polyglots so the squad all speak varying levels of Japanese. Allison is the best at it, Five is second best but tends to use more archaic words bc he had missions in Japan back when he was with the commission, and Klaus is third best.

(Ben is the worst bc he decided when he was 16-and-dead that he didn't have to do anything regarding lessons and maintenance and hasn't given a shit since - but also he's dead so)

So you have a bunch of weird adults with a bleeding child in like, an alley who have appeared from nowhere

so of course heroes get involved

Anyway, the squad get taken in and Five is conscious but like, barely? And he's not going to let himself get separated from his siblings again fuck-you-officer and there is a lot of confusion

anyway detective tsukauchi ends up getting involved and ends up having to hear this batshit story and be like "...truth." which sends all kinds of people scrambling because fucking time travel? Like yeah, it's been theorized to be a possible quirk but there's no recorded cases of any sort of time travel that is for more than 24 hours let alone hundreds of years

"I'm an adult." Five says sourly, "I just happened to be returned to my 13 year old body when I time traveled one time."

"True." Tsukauchi says, feeling his soul leave his body, but like. absently. the way he does when he's called in at 2am after getting off of work at midnight.

"I'm 58." Five says.

"Lie." Tsukauchi says, because this is a headcanon hill I will die on.

"I'm probably 58, but it was hard to keep track. I'm at least 50." Five corrects.

"True." Tsukauchi sighs like these six (seven? they keep referring to another sibling and Klaus said 'ghost' like that was fine and it registered as true and Tsukauchi is not nearly paid enough for this) are not giving him a migraine by just existing

on the bright side there's like, probably protocols in place for individuals who are Legally Chronologically Adults but thanks to quirks are Not Physically Or Not Mentally Adults with tests to determine if the individual needs a guardian or not

though i'm gonna be honest idk if Five would pass the test bc he literally cannot take care of himself at all, has never paid taxes or understands how to exist legally, and also his emotional maturity is stunted as all hell. also like. we don't actually know how much being in his thirteen-year-old body affects his mental state but yeAH Five is vibing

anyway Tsukauchi probably phones a friend on this bullshit because Time Travel Child alone is probably enough for the Hero Commission to be like "find a way to control and use it or nuke it from orbit" and that's not even touching whatever the fuck Klaus is doing (shit gets real once 'dead men tell no tales' stops being true) let ALONE Allison's whole deal

on the bright side like, at least Vanya isn't getting side-eyed that much bc Big Destructive Quirks aren't exactly unknown? if vanya wanted to i guess quirk suppressors exist for that until extensive training on how to control a super powerful quirk happens

I'm 100% sure the first thing she did in the future was try track down Claire's records and found out Claire was like. fine. became an adult, had a family, probably became the ancestor of the first "quirked" kids who officially popped up after light baby. had a good life, died at an old age etc. etc.

they start settling into the bnha world with like, "we can always hop aboard the five express into where the fuck ever" as a plan Z if things go completely pear shaped (again)

i'mma be real, five himself doesn't give a fuck as long as there is a) no apocalypse and b) his family is alive. Like that's it. His bar is so incredibly low and yet his life keeps fucking trying to limbo under it

favorite wtfockdown sobbe clip hmmmmm... i might say their last one actually talking face to face bc first of all, i LOVE that bg wherever sander is with the spray paint, and secondly, i think they’re just sufficiently loved up and happy to see each other no matter how pointless or dumb the convo is like.. sander’s dopey smile when robbe was just saying he hoped things would open... nothing funny was even said, he’s just in love fkldjsfkl. it was also an example of wtfock responding to criticism people had about s3 while also being kind of revealing abt sander’s mindset on that sort of thing... like that advice he gives about revisiting slowly but surely until robbe’s fully comfortable feels like him probably reciting advice he’s received in therapy or smth bc like... it’s true! you can’t just be scared of reliving traumatic memories forever bc they might not leave and there will always be things you have to work through but you don’t necessarily have to let it seep into your physical realm or take on shape or form of a place like *sander voice* their bar, and the fact that robbe is always gonna have him to lean back on when he’s struggling about that is comforting. it’s a hard thing to have a convo over on a computer screen, but they are sweethearts and i like that the hate crime was addressed even just briefly like that. close second would be the pool lockdown walk or the chernobyl one maybe!!

favorite character interactions in general?? i don’t know that i have specifics but i loved seeing jana/jens in the bg of season 3. i also LOVE yasmina/luca’s friendship and hope we get more of that in s5, they can be such hellions together but they’re very much the same speed of humor. i wish we got to see more bg britt/noor but damn noor being at a different school.... hmmm...  season 4 i’ve enjoyed the crumbs of luca/amber friendship in the bg also. i really don’t think my brain can conjure anything specific at the moment so OOPS sorry.

favorite chaotic memes huh.... loved all the chaos before we knew who sander was, i only joined right at the start of week 2 but it was fun to just. not know fkjdsklf to speculate. the most memorable overall was probably the round world one about robbe on his bike riding to find sander fkldsjflk. i WISH i was around for the agony of ohn weekend in general, i was in cali on vacation and not with my phone most of the time, so i missed a lot of that general madness but watching s3 live was fun and emotional and i miss it. 

honestly i don’t even think my favorite picks in general are wildfire or wandering romance as much as i DO love those choices of song. i adore the passenger cover of space oddity and the way it just stops the second he blocks sander. there were a lot of moments like that in s3 where robbe was wearing headphones and it’d stop or get softer when he took them off like.. there was a lot of clever mixing too, just as much as song choice. my favorite song that i actually added to all my playlists immediately after hearing was from me by khushi during the cuddle clip, THAT was one of my fav songs all season. (so was contaminated by banks while robbe gets up and goes n sits on the beach to text his mom) also some shoutouts go to two men in love during the date scene (haunting literally fuck), way down we go in the bg of the bar after noor/britt ditch them, rescue my heart during the hotel scene, and also them ending s3 with in my mind, which is also the song that plays in the only trailer of wtfock!! i feel like those are pretty tame picks but the seasons soundtrack overall was just vibey and cohesive and i got a lot of new music/artists to look out for from it so.

THOUGHTS ON THE CIRCLE

I am generally thrilled with the people who were in the final.. it was all my favs, and I was so happy <3 I have some thoughts about some of the people in the season so here they are!

I looked through the tag and saw a lot of Alex hate which I disagree with. Obviously the character of Adam was super creepy I agree with that but it was also very obvious that Alex was just awkward and didn’t know how to flirt. Here and there he’d let his true self shine through and those were the moments where people started liking him. He obviously didn’t think he’d get popular being Alex and thought he had to counter that by being a completely different person. Don’t let that cloud your judgement on Alex bc I think he seemed like a truly good guy..

Alana... I wanna make it VERY clear that what I’m about to say is nothing with ‘models are stuck up’ or ‘she’s too caught up in her looks’ or any sort of hate that pretty girls and models get... HOWEVER... In the clips we saw she seemed like a really shitty person not gonna lie.. And all that bullshit afterwards about her getting kicked out bc she was a model?? no she was fine in the ratings where all they knew about her was her looks and the fact that she was a model.. What people disliked about her had nothing to do with her looks, it was her personality? and the way she walked into Sammys appartement.. shit she looked like she was gonna beat her up... God I couldn’t stand her... Skinny girls chat... bitch....

Shubyyy! Okay For a lot of the show Shuby was my fav... And I think he’s a good guy and I have never cared more about a friendship than his and joeys... However I have to be honest, he was kinda like my problematic fav sometimes.. He had kinda like nice guy vibes here and there or at least the vibe of those guys who slutshames women and says that they shouldn’t post photos in their underwear and that threw me off.. At one point he said something like ‘there's a discrepancy with Sammy’s photos’ because she was smiling and sweet on one and in her underwear in the next one... And like.. What she can’t be hot AND smart? also he was hating on miranda and saying that she was playing the flirting game bc of her pictures which urgh... I did love him though but he irked me at times.

Miranda... I love my girl! One of my fav things was her trying to flirt with Sammy and Sammy thinking that she was calling her a catfish LOL! And honestly her and Joey were so sweet! I wish she could have stayed longer..

Yes he is everything! such a great, interesting character and i wish there were more John-centric episodes! The portrayal of suicide is cringe most of the time anyway. If my suicidal ass can find a list of suicide methods and their lethality in 2 mins on Google you'd think writers who are supposed to do some research would be able to find them too but no they're like "ah yes slicing wrists" even though it's literally the shittiest method 🙄 (I just don't understand why slicing wrists seems to be such a popular method in the collective imagination ? It's weird.) At least in 13rw she took aspirin and cut herself vertically instead of horizontally but still, no hesitation wounds, and she dies even though she only got 4 wounds iirc ? I know more about jumping off bridges than slicing wrists, but it kinda sounds like bullshit to me. Also Netflix once suggested "beyond the reasons" to me, it's a sort of discussion with the cast and crew of 13rw and the only thing I remember is a moment of intellectual masturbation abt how they "opened a discussion abt suicide" 😬😬😬

They may have cut it out it's not impossible, idk I didn't hear about it, but it's not like I look for info about this dumpster fire lol. Maybe they faced backlash ? Wouldn't be surprised given how shit the show was. And yeah it has a hopeless vibe, I mean that's how it be when you're suicidal, but I didn't like it either.

Hope you appreciate me getting carried away sjdkdksk it's kinda rushed and the first part isn't that good bc idk how to write Grace I'm just here for that sweet sweet Rinch stuff

Harold is eating breakfast with Grace in her kitchen – he can't think of her home as his home – when his phone vibrates. It's a text from the machine. It's a surprise, she barely contacted him since... He blocks the thoughts and the images coming to his mind. The machine sent him a picture. When he opens it, his heart misses a beat. Right here on his screen is a silhouette he thought he would never see again. His phone vibrates again. Another picture, this time it's unmistakably John, wearing his signature suit, Bear next to him. Transfixed, he stares at his phone until he feels Grace gently touching his arm. She goes straight to the point.

"Is it John ?" He looks up in confusion, but before he can say anything, she adds, "I hear you call him in your sleep every night."

"It's him, yes." He doesn't want to explain. He only wants to see John, to touch him, to tell him how much he loves him.

"You should go back to him. I like you, Harold. I am deeply relieved to see you alive. But I've been thinking, and... It's not working. This, us... You aren't really the man I fell in love with, the man I grieved... I can't trust you anymore." She doesn't say 'You lied to me' but Harold hears it all the same.

Harold sits on their bench. The machine indicated John often comes here. Soon enough, his arms are full of Bear, and John is standing in front of him.

"John. How are you ?" he asks when Bear finally calms down.

"Busy. And you ?"

Harold eyes him suspiciously – John once said he was busy when he was bleeding and way too close to death – but he seems to be well.

"I'm fine." He doesn't have time for awkward small talk." I thought you were dead. Why didn't you contact me ?"

"The machine told me you were with Grace. I thought you wanted to come back to your previous life. I didn't want to crash into it and ruin what you had."

Harold wants to be angry at him, but he understands. He did the same with Grace.

"You would never ruin anything. Besides, my relationship with Grace... didn't survive my lies. She's very dear to my heart, but she's a part of my previous life, as you said."

"So you came back for the machine, and the numbers, like the good old times ?"

Harold gets up from the bench.

"I came back for you. You are an important part of my life. The most important part."

John smiles, finally. He takes a step towards Harold, they're so close they could kiss. Harold reaches out, grips his shirt and slowly inches closer. He's still afraid of being rejected but John wraps his arm around him and kisses him. The kiss is over too soon. John's smile is even wider when they part.

"You're the most important part of my life too," he says before kissing Harold again. "You will stay ?"

"Always."

ok let’s go all the way back to 2014 to a panel reading of some sort (the video can be found on youtube). basically some of the fans in attendance were given the chance to do a role play by reading out the lines that were intended for season three had it not been cancelled. artemis’ line was: i have to get going too, i left roy alone at home watching lian and jw. he probably needs a breather.

of course this happened four years ago and things could have easily changed. BUT!!!! then came this year’s sdcc. i watched a handful of interviews involving the cast and crew and what really stood out for me was stephanie lemelin (artemis’ voice actress) speaking out on returning as artemis and specifically!!!! how she drew from her OWN experiences this time round during the recording process. and in most, if not all, the interviews, she would bring up her kids (who she had during the long five year hiatus). in particular, she said: “in the last five years, ive lost hope for a little minute and then found hope in having kids, raising good kids and thinking it all starts at home... and that is stuff im drawing from for her and that would make sense for you later.”

UHM???? OK!!! i hear u!!

and if u think about it, there was a PERFECT time for wally and artemis to do the frick frack bc

also being off cartoon network means the show is no longer required to adhere to strict children-friendly guidelines, meaning that they can focus on more mature themes, like young, single parents and having children out of wedlock. so yeah,,

so all things considered, i think this COULD be a possibility in season three.

Heyaaa and ooooh dear where do i even begin…..

Erg so in very short it’s a musical mixed media story that have kind of a corny set up that is mostly an excuse to have fictional male characters of different background involve themselves into rap battles? Most of its content comes from songs and drama CD, even if there are a few manga adaptation covering a couple of the drama tracks (albeit all those covered are how the teams got together and all).

In a little more depth: Basically a group of 12 Seiyuu decided to band together into a principe of rap battle, that would also give a spotlight to multiple rap artists in Japan, as they do collaboration by writting/composing the songs. All of the Seiyuu play different characters divided in 4 divisions: Buster Bros!! for Ikebukuro, Mad Trigger Crew for Yokohama, Fling Posse for Shibuya, and Matenrou for Shinjuku. Each divisions/characters have distinct styles of music or text to differenciate them.

The idea is that, after World War 3 and a lot of the population dying, weapons causing harms had been outlawed, instead remplaced by what we call Hypnosis Microphone (or Hypmic), weapons that attack the brain via its sonic vibes, thus are more powerful depending on how savy you are with words and sounds and all of that. (like i said, it’s corny, it’s really just a pretext for the battles ahah)

The Government, that is kinda shady, took hold into Chuuouku, the center of the city, and the rest of the towns are left to fend for their own, indulging in territories battles. By the time the story start, 4 teams have taken a hand into 4 divisions where they try their best to low the crime rate and make life better, this sort of stuff. Recently however, the Government decided to keep a closer eye on the Rap Battle themselves, organizing huge Event in Chuuouku for the Divisions to fight each other, and the winner can therefore have major impact on what gets developped in the city and all.

It’s also important to know that the 4 leaders of the divisions, Ichiro, Samatoki, Ramuda and Jakurai, used to be in a band together, The Dirty Dawg, and they were very close - Something ended up breaking up the band (it is unsure what it is exactly) and left them with sort of bittersweet relationship with each other as they’re now in a position where they have to fight each other.

Again though most of it is mostly a pretext for songs and character driven plotlines for those 12 to fuck shit up:

And erg while i try to avoid spoilers from the latest season, there’s a lot of “spoilers” from backstory exposition or information spreads through the drama tracks and the songs, so either just scroll to see the name and all or read at your own risks? 

Buster Bros!!! representing Ikebukuro Division - in red, Ichiro Yamada (19yo) the leader,in blue, Jiro Yamada (16yo), in yellow Saburo Yamada (14). (Previews of their solo songs, preview of their first group song Ikebukuro West Game Park, their second group song: Ohayo Ikebukuro!)

Ichiro, Jiro and Saburo are brothers - they are orphans (unknown why but since Ichiro rejects any fathr figure p strongly i think it’s linked to their father) and Ichiro, the eldest brother, had taken care of his two little brothers most of his life to the point of being a delicant before being recruited by the Dirty Dawg. Before the story started the boys weren’t all that close, but by now, both little brothers want to prove their worth to their eldest brothers and when the Dirty Dawg broke up and Ichiro had to figure out which team to make for the Rap Battles, both brothers offered to help. Despite both being ways too young for this they still both ended up proving themselves. They also tend to fight for their big brother’s attention a lot.

Ichiro (MC Big Brother) himself seems to be a rather warm and friendly person - he works odd jobs all around town, kind of like a mercenary but doing just… any sort of work being asked of him, just not in the illegal stuff when he can avoid it. He’s rather hot headed. He used to be very close from the Dirty Dawg who took care of him when they met, especially Samatoki, but since the band’s break up, it seems there is a particularly sour relationship with Samatoki neither of them are over with. Ichiro often disses Samatoki out of nowhere in his raps lmao. Aside from that he’s a complete geek and loves manga and anime and video game - all the stuff you’d expect.

Jiro, (MC Middle Brother) the second, tends to follow Ichiro’s path a lot, being a bit in delincance and stuff, creating himself a web of contacts. He tends to copy Ichiro in his passions in order to impress him. He’s also very social and get friends very easily. He’s constantly bickering with Saburo who seems to see their “brotherhood” as a competition. They used to be very close when they were younger but now they’re always at each other’s throat.

Saburo (MC Little Brother), the third, doesn’t really want to follow the path of his brothers but he wants to be useful in his own way. Incredibly clever, he is a very good hacker and can find information very quickly. He also has some of the sickest burn of the lot but i’m biased. Unlike Jiro, Saburo is really not social at all and has very few friends. His whole world is about being the best he can be for Ichiro.He likes things that can stimulate his brian, especially board games and the likes.

If The BB are linked by the fact they’re brothers, MTC is linked by being….. Involved in armed illegal activities? Samatoki is the second in command of a Yakuza family, Juuto is a corrupted cop who is close to Samatoki because of… work…. and Riou kinda ended up tagging along. Anyway they’re in charge of Yokohama which seems to be a part of the city that suffered pretty badly from the war and have high crime rates.

In more details, Samatoki (MC Mr Hardcore) is involved in the mafia. He explains in his personal song that his mother killed his abusive father before killing herself, leaving him to take care of his little sister, Nemu, which is what led him to a life of crime. His Yakuza clan seems to have a honor code though so they’re not involved in too much dirty stuff. Every sacrifice Samatoki did was for his sister. So obviously he saw a bit of himself in Ichiro when they originally met, and was one of the influencial force to keep Ichiro out of the crime life knowing pretty well where it’s headed. The Band breakup left a particularly sour taste in Samatoki’s mouth regarding Ichiro, feeling betrayed by whatever happened back then, and since then he tends to be. touchy. when it’s question of Ichiro. As in, almost caused a car crash while he wasn’t driving just thinking about Ichiro. He’s a mess. He’s also very short tempered. 

Juuto (MC 45 Rabbit) is a corrupted cop: while he works with the police and all the stuff, he has ties with Samatoki’s yakuza clan and will do shady stuff in order to maintain this alliance. Mostly blackmail, bailing Samatoki out of jail, all this sort of things. He seems to have a specific reason to accept it, a necessary evil to get rid of wickedness in the city. Juuto’s backstory was only developped in the latest drama tracks so it would count as spoilers but let’s say he has reasons to do so.He’s generally more down to earth and more tongue in cheek. He knows how to pick up people’s weaknesses let’s say.

Riou (MC Crazy M) is an army man who isn’t aware the war is over. He has been living in survival mode in the forest of Yokohama for the past few years, having also one of the prototype Hypnosis Mic, with more raw power. His hobbies is to cook from… unusual sources. Samatoki and Juuto are terrified by his cooking.  There isn’t much revealed yet about Riou’s backstory however. Juuto found out about him and put him in contact with Samatoki when it was question to develop MTC, and they have since then developped a companionship of sort.

Fling Posse, representing Shibuya Division (also they’re my favs❤ which will be obvious in two mins bc i rambled much more about them holy fuck)- In the middle with pink hair, Ramuda Amemura (24), with brown hair, Gentaro Yumeno (24), with blue hair, Dice Arisugawa (20)(Previews of their solo songs, preview of their first group song, Shibuya Marble Texture, their second group song: Stella (aka my most listened hypmic song that made me unhealthily obsessed with the series) )

I don’t even know where to start with them. Don’t be fooled by how cute they look, they’re the most shady group. Officially, they’ve all been recruited by Ramuda “only for the thrill of it”, “To kill boredom”, but it also happens that they are the three with the most ties to the government. But none of them tend to really talk about it. Not really. They are very “living in the present” kind of people, even if it comes with risks. Ramuda gathered them for his own agenda. Neither Gentaro nor Dice knew each other before Ramuda put them together and neither know why Ramuda gathered them aside as “for the thrill”. Gentaro however has major doubts over the kind of person Ramuda is. 

Ramuda (MC Easy R) is their leader. He is a fashion designer. He was the one who put the Dirty Dawg together back in the days, and seems to have… weird reasons to do anything he’s ever doing. Honestly i don’t know how to even touch how shady he is, but he’s all shade of shady. He will however always sound super cute. The only person he seems to not bear the sight of is Jakurai, his ex-teammate from the Dirty Dawg. They used to be very close but now things are very tense in between them, mostly with Ramuda setting as much distances as possible he can and hardly managing to remain cheerful around him. 

Gentaro (MC Phantom) is a writter and also a chronic liar. You litterally cannot trust a single thing coming out of his mouth, he’s always making something up. His personal song is supposed to talk about his past but there’s like, a big lie in the begining of it (”I was born in winter” yOU’RE BORN ON APRIL THE FIRST.). One thing that is certain about him however, is that he has a friend who is very sick and at the hospital and that it seems to be the motivation behind all of his lies, as he started to make up fictions to cheer up his friend and turned his own life into a fiction by extension. There’s more shady stuff about him and his past, i could discuss it for hours (he’s my fav kdhfd). But mostly, he’s just the kind to tease people a lot and to not really expect to have friends that stick arounds, considering himself a untrustworthy unredeemable trash. He has a weird dynamic with his own sense of self, always making up false selves. I legit could talk for hours about it kdjhfd.  He tends to over-tease Dice because Dice falls for every single of his lies, and he tends to have a soft spot for him. He’s also extremely observant since he writes story he makes up from people he observes, so he catches on stuff more easily. Gentaro’s lyrics are often more inclined toward poetry or well, work of fictions (he wrote Stella in verse and Stella is kindof a Posse!Au of how Gentaro sees the Posse. Stellaaaaaa)

Dice (MC Dead or Alive)  is… a professional disaster? Joke aside, he’s a gambler who tends to push his luck a loooot. (there’s a lot of implications about how he doesn’t have a stable place to crash in because most of his rent money go into gambling). His outlook on life are really mostly that he wants to live a life that gives him legit thrills. He hates being bored. It’s heavily implied that he comes from a rich, influencial family but threw it all away for his addiction.  The only reason he agreed to join the Posse was for the thrill the rap battles would provide. He also kinda considers himself a lowrate trash due to the lifestyle he’s living.He’s rather guilible, falling for every single of Gentaro’s lies despite how obvious they are, and gets teased a lot by both of his teammates. He’s also fiercely protective and combative. He is also the king of bad decisions and of having to drag his posse in them. (well mostly Gentaro). He’s also loves the Posse in itself and is the one who’s the most likely to brag about how great his band is. He genuinely loves his teammates and it makes me so soft,,. He’s also very perceptive, realizing very quickly when his teammates are changing their mood. And again he protecc,,

Matenrou - Representing Shinjuku DivisionCenter with purple hair: Jakurai Jinguji (35), the blond is Hifumi Izanami (29) and the gingerhead is Doppo Kannonzaka (29)(Previews of their solo songs, preview of their first group song, Shinjuku Style, their second group song: Papiyon that wasn’t put on youtube yet but should in a couple of weeks)

Matenrou is the band with the darkest aesthetic, protecting the Shinjuku’s division that came to be known mostly for the health problems, if i understand well also because the only functioning hospital is located there. Jakurai is a doctor and Doppo is his patient, while Hifumi is Doppo’s childhood friend and roomate. They end up tangled together after Hifumi gets threats on his life pushing Doppo to reach out for Jakurai, who took an interest on them as possible teammates when everything unfolded. 

Jakurai (MC ill-Doc) is… an interesting character i dare not to spoil the backstory of but let’s say he has some dark past. As a person however, he is fascinated by people’s psychee, how they work, what pushes them to do stuff, and is therefore attracted to “interesting people”, people that makes him want to explore human’s psychee. Back in the Dirty Dawg’s day, it was what drove Jakurai to be very interested in Ramuda…. Until he considered Ramuda’s humanity too lost to be saved after the band broke up, which Jakurai blames partially on Ramuda. Ramuda remains the only person to have ever made Jakurai lose his patience. Otherwise, Jakurai is a rather collected and a very kind man, who tries to reach out and help others when he can. But again, dark past and stuff and some shady stuff went on with Ramuda. He found an interest in Doppo and Hifumi as he got to know them and now is rather protective of the two of them, often going fishing with Hifumi and doing anything to uplift Doppo.He’s also a terrible drinker. Don’t let him drink.He has one of my favorite solo song though and he has a sort of goth existantialism vibe to him i just love. 

Hifumi (MC Gigolo) is Doppo’s childhood best friend and roomate. Now Hifumi’s story is a bit huh.. particular. When he was very young he had had a very traumatic experience with women that led him to be utterly terrified of being even nearby one. When he reached adulthood, he considered he couldn’t keep going like that and forced himself into a woman dominated space by becoming a Host, to overcome his fear. It was so hard on him however that he ended up… coping by considering that when he was wearing the Suit of the Host, he was a complete different person. Not quite split personality, but autosuggestion mostly. He gets into all sort of troubles with the suit on however. The only person he relies completely on is Doppo, whom he knows from childhood and with whom he lives. Hifumi is a good cook, and is always trying to cheer up his friend. because…

Doppo (MC Doppo) is an anxious disaster of a man. He’s your typical overworked office worker, who is handling this life pretty badly. He feels like his whole life is something he should be apologizing for, which he does all the time. He’s honestly unhealthily anxious and that’s why he is Jakurai’s patient.  He’s seriously a depressed, anxious disaster who’s only light seems to mostly be that Hifumi cheers on him all the time… when Hifumi doesn’t create a terrible situation Doppo feels like he has to apologize for. However Doppo is someone you can rely on, with a lot of frustration bottled inside him to the  point of it becoming an amazing weapon once unleashed with the rap battles. He’s very quick and ressourceful when put into extreme lifethreatening situation, which got Jakurai’s attention a lot. 

So this is the main divisions and characters. There are more developped via the drama CDs obviously, more plot and all, but that’s the gist of it. Honestly again it’s just a pretext for characters and songs that fits their characters. 

I personally never expected to care about it that much - i have friends who had been talking about it for over a year and i just knew it a bit in passing until i started to casually listen to the songs - and then i went down the rabbit hole when i ended up loving the songs too much to not care for the characters. (Stella was my breaking point though. The moment it came out I was lost. This was the moment i dedicated myself to it. I could go on a full ramble just on Stella alone.)

And yeah it kinda shows i have a major bias but my favs are truly the Posse - both as characters and as music style goes. Close second is Matenrou though i love their aesthetics.

the first battle season is over, it’s easy to know from their youtube how it unfolded ahah. The first round was BB VS MTC, the second FP VS MTR. Each rounds came with drama CD setting up the dynamics of the characters in and out of their bands, which was pretty cool. 

After the First Battle Season ended we were blessed with a drama track and song from the Dirty Dawg era which is why i cannot stop shutting the fuck up about it dkjhfd it makes me so sad to look back to how close they were and how they threw all of this away…. 

Now a new season is starting but this is where we’re missing translations so we just… wait. 

There are a few manga that covers a few of the drama tracks but not all, and there will be a mobile game soon. 

But yeah that’s. that’s basically the basis.

-mob and reigen: i really . love that reigen didn’t dismiss mob when he first went to him for help. like others have mentioned, i feel like it’s typical for adults to be dismissive of kids when they say anything that sounds ridiculous or impossible. and even if reigen thought mob wasn’t serious, he still gave mob his time and listened to him! i think that’s so so important and can really help in shaping a person?? (lack of better phrasing??) like had reigen turned mob away, it’s possible that it would have been less likely for him to reach out to someone for help, and maybe he wouldn’t have learned all those helpful things, you know?? i’m just really glad reigen has helped in mob in such important moments (((’‘‘: 

-omg also teru and mob ))): i love love LOVE them !!!!!!!!!!!1 i really love how teru changed after meeting mob!!! he went from incredibly . being super focused on his powers and i think he was a perfect example of what could have happened to mob if he didn’t remind himself that powers weren’t everything and that your personality and chara are vvv important. but yeah i just love that teru recognized what was wrong and was even shown telling an enemy that being too absorbed in your powers is not everything. i feel like that was a display of growth in how he views himself now and what he values. i also ))): really love how fond he gets when it comes to mob..... like when you see his face soften and just how he talks about mob . wuv fav moment:oh my god i think unless i watch something 8857 times i totally forget everything ;___; i know that there were a number of moments that i liked but i currently cannot remember anything,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Sad . OH jk two moments i can think of are

-god okay thinking about this one makes me zo upset,,,, i watched this part TWICE with two different friends and it was so heartbreaking i (((’’’: i think it was the 3rd??? episode of season 2 after reigen had made his website LOL when those Teens wanted to go to that House and take pics and stuff and they encountered the spirit family ))): that shit was so sad,,,, the father spirit was literally like ‘if you’re going to exorcise us please take all of us so we can be together as a family’ like stop i’m going to cry . that wasn’t my favorite part at all though GDFJGLK it was when reigen was like ok fuck and just threw salt around gkjdfhghgf and was like ok exorcism over and i really liked that part because i think he noticed how uncomfortable it was making mob, and that mob did not want to harm the spirit family. it made me really glad to see that he didn’t pressure mob into doing anything he didn’t want to just for the sake of making customers happy. and i think ??? that was a subversion?? of the typical trope where charas would usually, in that situation, have to Tough It Up and suppress their feelings and go through with it. i feel like that’s a common thing and it ignores the chara’s feelings completely but in this case it was totally diff. reigen acknowledged mob’s feelings of discomfort and ended the situation once he realized it. i’m like . really glad he did that 

-sort of similar, the last ? episode of season 1 where mob thought he was going to have to fight that person in claw (forgot their name zorry gjdfghf) but reigen told him that it’s okay to run when things get tough. i’m getting EMOTIONAL thinking about it right now hgkdjflghf like. once again i feel like it subverts the common trope of charas, esp young ones, ‘having’ to place themselves in danger and overexert themselves for the sake of Defeating Evil. but instead of having mob do that, reigen steps in and tells mob that it’s definitely totally okay to recognize his own feelings (of things being scari or too much) and run away if he feels safer doing so. people have pointed it out and i agree in that reigen is great in the sense that he’s the person who doesn’t enable or encourage dangerous behavior, but instead he’s kinda like hey wtf why are Kids being put in dangerous situations and being expected to fight??? love him 

headcanons/theories: i don’t remember if it was mentioned anywhere about what happened to teru’s wig (which i miss) but i imagine that ritsu thought it was terrible and cut it up or something ljkgfgfunpopular opinion: none ? 0: oh no what just kidding i remember something i don’t know if it’s unpopular but here it is oki so i remember after the episode where shou set mob’s house on fire (like before we got an explanation), people apparently (i didn’t see any of this firsthand, i just heard that a number of people were saying this apparently) were PISSED at shou, saying rude things about him and about how he deserves to d*e etc and part of me was just like,,,,,,,, zude,,,,, like i was a bit upset that happened of course but i don’t think it’s ??? gr8 to jump to conclusions and immediately assume that shou’s a terrible chara just from that. i feel like it’s reasonable to expect an explanation in the following episode so like,,, why not wait for that first before jumping to conclusions about shou’s chara??? i don’t know, i personally feel like when something Big or Surprising like that happens, there’s usually a reason behind it or an explanation that goes against an initial thought (in this case, the thought being that shou’s bad). it was upsetting to learn that people really thought those things about him instead of waiting to see what the next episode would entail about that,,,,,,, how’d you find it: i remember seeing a lottttt of people talking about it on here and twt when season 2 was approaching so i think i mentioned it to miss high (or the opposite) and when i said i hadn’t watched it she was like YOU GOTTA!!!! so i was like okay why not and i’m SO GLAD I DID random thoughts: okay okay i know we only saw her for like two minutes but i LOVE shou’s mom and what she did!!! i feel really bad that she experienced what she did, but i’m so happy that she made the decision for herself to leave shou’s dad after realizing that it wasn’t working for her. she left like That without hearing any of his excuses or anything like that and i think that was v neat of her, love that

Tbh, I wasn’t a fan of castaways either.  I only really liked the scene where Joey shaved Pacey’s beard. The episode itself was boring and poorly written. The writers tried to address why Joey and Pacey moved on from each other but they didn’t tell us anything we didn’t already know. Also, it was annoying how Pacey kept bringing up Dawson but getting annoyed when Joey brought him up.

Pacey: Ok. Well, you know what? Now that you brought it up, yes. A couple of months here, there, really wouldn't have hurt. I mean, I'm not asking for the lifetime you've devoted to feeling bad about Dawson, but just a couple of weeks.

Joey: Unbelievable! Pacey! I can never win, can I? I guess I can't. It's kind of like taking my head and beating it up against a rock. I mean, who had more sex? Who was with who longer? Isn't there some sort of boy calculus you can use to figure out who won and just leave me out of it?

Pacey: Right, 'cause god forbid I might just be talking about you and me right now.

With that said, I think Castaways is better than Clean and Sober. Clean and Sober was so boring, the dialogue was bad. When Pacey was telling Joey that she inspires him to be better I was rolling my eyes. This narrative keeps being shoe horned in, it’s not earned.

I also wasn’t a fan of the episode where Joey was Pacey’s secretary for the day. Pacey told Joey he doesn’t need to respect her or be kind to her because she’s his secretary. She spilled cream on a reporters leg. They had some more bad banter which led to them making out. I didn’t find it endearing. The chemistry was there, but their dynamic didn’t have much substance.

You’re right about Joey being a fantasy. I think the male writers wrote her to be their version of a perfect women but by doing that they took away her agency and turned her into a Mary Sue. It’s hard to ship Joey with Pacey because (a) she’s fickle (b) Pacey puts her on a pedestal. All the guys on the show love an idealized version of Joey.

i finished … im happy w pacey and Joey being endgame, i think the 5yrs ahead thing was needed bc that was the only way they could get back together with it making any sense bc at least 5 yrs ahead u can use the whole like distance makes the heart grow fonder and them being apart made them miss each other blah blah blah whatever.

castaways and clean and sober to me felt like one long episode where the writers were forcing the two characters together, and it just felt so weird esp bc suddenly he’s like being around her im realizing how much i love her but like ??? hes been in her dorm the last year hooking up w her roommate…i can’t. it’s just bad writing. the secretary one was my fav out of those three only bc at least there’s some semblance of storyline to the episode, like okay the reporter is coming in, okay Joey is jealous, finally some emotion, okay the two actors are still amazing together, great. the last two eps of the series, the writing was much better dialogue wise and pacing wise, but so much of season 6 just felt like they had no ideas of what to do or were trying to bring in new things to see what viewers liked.

and i think it’s okay that pacey puts her on a pedestal, as all men should with their gfs at least in the beginning. joey as a character is fickle and indecisive which could’ve been a way to explore more interesting development of her and her life and her becoming ready to actually decide on something for herself but … yeah of course the entire series boiled down to her being a object tossed between two guys. and also i read fan takes about pacey and dawson’s finale dynamic have undertones of queerness which … actually i thought was interesting, some ppl were saying that none of their fighting / dynamic has to do with joey truly it’s that they both couldn’t stand that they’d choose someone else over each other. that at least helps my brain understand why two boys would be so annoying about the whole situation for six years. like it wasn’t them fighting over the girl it was them fighting bc they didn’t choose one another at the end of the day.

but yeah honestly i just can’t believe how bad the show is. like objectively speaking. ive been trying to rewatch eps bc first I’ve grown attached to joshua and katie …… which goes to show how good the acting / personality is w all of those main castmates like they carried those cheesy storylines at 20 yrs old. but i can’t rewatch it’s just so bad the dialogue is so weird and it makes me sad bc there was so much potential w the talent and the premise, it just feels like a show about nothing. and returning to pacey and joey, that’s sad on another level because they decided last minute to have them be endgame, that was why it felt so rushed bc the writers supposedly were for dawson and joey but they did audience surveys or something and realized ppl didn’t want them together and it just is so disappointing bc the show could’ve had such a better written s5/s6 if brain cells were used.

Thoughts & discussion : Gotham 4.16

Soooo, I know a lot of people weren't the biggest fans of this week’s episode, and that is mainly because there were no Ed, no Oswald, no Lee (new fav character apparently). But, come on guys !! This episode was amazing ! The storyline was smart (although, Tetch hypnotizing all these folks was kinda predictable). 

The team up of the 3 Js (I don’t remember all of their names but I do remember noticing all 3 had a first name starting with a J) honestly made sense, maybe more so than a possible Jerome/Oswald because these 2 both want control but don’t use the same means to obtain it, while Jerome/Mad Hatter/Scarecrow are just 3 psychopaths who want to wreck havoc but Jerome still has some control. In the last few minutes, the reunion of the 3 of them was good although worrisome. What do they have planned next ? Any idea why Jerome wanted that address from his uncle so bad ? SPOILER : something to do with his potential sibling/twin perhaps ? I don’t know but I’m guessing nothing good is gonna come out of this. 

Barbara and Tabitha : quite a surprising storyline they opened here ! I did not expect to see the League of Shadows/assassins appear so soon into the show, although I guess the introduction of Ra’s Al Ghul kinda made it inevitable. But I thought they would be firstly introduced with Bruce ? But oh well, I’m glad that Barbara has this kind of power, she was really awesome last season, and her storyline so far this season did seem a bit weak to me, so obviously her being the new Head of the Demon is awesome. I still don’t really believe that Ra’s is dead though, and so I wonder what he has planned ? Or if he really is, did he planned all of this before he died so that Barbara would what... resurrect him with the Lazarus pit ? I do not believe he selflessly saved a stranger just bc he could identify with her, nor that he would just offer Barbara the command of the most powerful secret army in the world. I don’t know, but I am excited to see how this is gonna play out.

Bruce & Selina : what a joy to these two working together and getting along almost as well as they did before. Their relationship was broken almost a season ago when Selina’s mom came back to Gotham, and I was waiting for the moment they would be working together again. Their banter is always fun to watch, I never read the original DC comics but from what I understand that’s the  basis of the BatCat relationship. They are still young, but their partnership is already well developed, and so is their deep connection. Will they ever be together as a couple on the show ? I don’t know, I hope so and I would enjoy it, but I also know it’s in both their nature to hurt each other, usually unknowingly or without meaning it, but I’m afraid they couldn’t stay together long. But I do ship them, and I think that the chemistry between David & Camren is undeniable. They’re both rather young, but seeing them onscreen together is magical. Both the scenes in the car and in the diner were tense & honestly hot (it bugs me to say so for characters that are teenagers, but I can’t think of another way to describe it). I have hope for them in the ending of this season.

Last but not least : Jim & Harvey. Oh how I missed this friendship. I know they’re not all the way there yet, but their last conversation was awesome and much needed. Jim is in my opinion the character who suffered the most in the series, season 3 was truly awful for him, I remember seing the episodes where he was borderline suicidal, they were hard to watch. Even in the beginning of this season, his goal was always to help and save as much people as he could, and it lead him to make crappy decisions (@ Sofia). But in this episode, and I think that was the whole point, a sort of redemption episode, we saw him doing what he does best : overcoming pain & anger to save the day the only way he knew how, with hope but no certainty. For much of the season (first half) I admit I resented Harvey for his hypocrisy, and for being such an ass to Jim when he put himself in this situation. Now, I think I understand better his behavior, and I think the both of them understand each other a little better. It’s like they said      : ‘there are no heroes’. Just a bunch of psychopaths on the loose, masked vigilantes and overwhelmed cops.

Ah, the first time I posted my art online I was... between fourteen and fifteen and it was on a really small community made of people who were just learning to draw, like I was, so it wasn’t nerve-wrecking for me since I sort of eased into the whole “letting the world see my crappy art” thing, which means I can’t help with that specifically orz

What I can tell you tho is this: 90% of what I post I look at it and I’m like “w h y am I posting this” and “I’m the only one who’ll enjoy this” and “...man this is so fucking embarrassing” and so on. It’s nervewrecking and, uh, it’s that sort of feeling that doesn’t really ever go away completely - I have some comics that randomly come back around in my activities and I just sit there feeling incredibly ashamed I posted them to begin with and also wondering why people like it at all. 

So here’s how it is, some things, mostly the self-indulget ones, are gonna feel weird to share because you feel like no one aside from you is gonna enjoy them, and because they keep a part of yourself in them you might be scared people won’t like, and that’s normal, and it’s okay. Through personal experience, I can tell you that in most cases you’ll manage to find someone who’ll love what you drew and will think “OH BOI exactly what I’ve been waiting to see god bless!!”, but believing this regarding your own art might be hard until you start posting and see it happen, and that’s okay too. If it doesn’t happen, and people actually don’t like your ideas, that’s okay too - mostly, you make art for yourself, because you love it and it makes you happy, and as long as it made you happy using your time to make it won’t have been a waste. And if the lack of response is too much to bare, you can always just stop posting! No one is saying that once you start you gotta keep at it! It’s your art, you do with it what you want!

But you won’t know what people’s reactions to your art will be until you start posting it - so take a deep breath, feel nervous as hell, post it anyway. Wait a week. If after that you’ll still feel like posting it was a mistake, take it down. It’s not a definitive decision, you’re free to go back on it whenever - I’m sure it won’t be as bad as you’re thinking right now, though!

Season 2 Klance and Shallura Analysis

Alrighty so this is another one of those voltron prediction/theory/rant its basically an analysis of some parts of season 2 not all bc that would take me forever but just a few key parts (aka the key to my heart Klance okay bye). So grab a drink because this is an essay folks that I spent way too much time on than I should have. Let’s begin shall(ura) we? (I hate myself)

So I’m gonna start with a very good and very platonic (in my opinion) relationship, which is K//allura. Okay okay, they have so much potential to be bffs its exciting.

First off, I took the whole Galra Keith and Allura tension as a message the creators wanted to convey to the viewers about judging someone merely by their race. Honestly I really love it when tv shows, especially kids shows, integrate bigger ideas like racism into their stories. Its subtle yet satisfying and I really really appreciated this particular scene with Keith and Allura.

Allura is describing her hatred for the Galra which is basically her hatred toward a part of Keith that he can’t even control. He never chose to be Galra, it’s just in his blood. And obviously that hurts him because its a part of who he is:((

Like ugh this is so sweet guys. So as you know from the title of this, I don’t ship K//allura at all, but this scene was very special to me in a much different way than how I feel from a romantic interaction. Like this is a genuine moment between two characters that are haunted by the same group, the Galra. Keith is part Galra, he has a part of the enemy inside of him which is probably causing inner turmoil maybe even self-hatred within him. And Allura as we know hates the Galra for killing her entire civilization. These two have a deep character development from this scene alone. We see that Allura has matured from being bitter toward Keith for being Galra to understanding that a person should not be judged by their blood but who they truly are. Also we see that Keith has accepted the fact that yes he may have a part of the enemy within him, but that does not mean he has to be anything like them. He is also pretty stand-off ish and doesn’t like opening up necessarily. He’d much rather keep to himself (other than Shiro), but he is finally opening up to someone else as well. He forgives Allura immediately despite how offensive her bias opinion was towards him. I just love Keith. 

So these two are super close now or should be? Which is pretty awesome considering… Keith is super close to Shiro too. SO now he’s close to both Shiro and Allura who are both, might I remind you all, much older than would be appropriate for him to have a romantic relationship with. Anywho, this reeks of space parents and an angsty teen.

Which then leads to Shallura and why I believe it is pointing toward canon woot woot love these goobers. Alright so I’m solely focusing on a few scenes in particular where my heart was pounding and my eyes watering and I was clutching my heart while screaming at my computer screen. The feels man the feels. 

I just about swooned at this. Like these underrated moments are what really get me. Like I love the whole Shiro taking Allura’s hand and telling his wife to get some rest, that got me feeling some sort of way. But this scene guys. In the heat of battle, Shiro is concerned for Allura. He’s basically saying “I wish I could be there to take care of her but Coran you have to do it for me.” I cannot guys I cannot.

She could’ve called for anyone else. Was it Keith? NOPE IT WAS SHIRO, PEOPLE!!

Never forget honestly. This is the face of a broken man. I have never seen Shiro more distressed and this pic doesn’t do it justice but when you watch this scene his eyes are glistening like he’s about to cry. The calm, collected leader Shiro is on the verge of tears? omg I can’t. 

Honestly this is my weakness. When a character gets hurt and another character goes ballistic and rages. Like Shiro is so determined to kick ass in this scene and avenge Allura. End me. 

For Shallura, they both have an understanding that they need each other. They are each other’s support especially considering they both are the leaders and are the older ones of the group. They help bear each other’s responsibility which is much different than Klance’s dynamic. For Klance it is much more playful and focused on chemistry. And also because they are younger it is much more naive and afraid. Both Keith and Lance obviously care for each other but they try not to show it especially when the other is present. They are self-conscious and afraid of what the other will think, that the other doesn’t feel the same way. Shiro and Allura, however, both know that they care for each other and they aren’t afraid to express it through calling each other’s name during battle and other small gestures like that.

Which I forgot to mention that everyone is freaking out over a simple hug between Allura and Keith but like have you noticed that both Klance and Shallura have not had a proper hug yet? Ummmm is this a slow burn fic or… Seriously tho, I’ve watched plenty of shows and animes (I’m shameless) to know that usually the canon couple does not have that special hugging and seal-the-deal scenes quite so early in the series because all the anticipation builds up until the perfect scene is created. I swear a tender Klance and Shallura moment is coming I swear. 

Which then leads to my mains, Klance. I just have to admit that one of the many reasons I love these two is because of the fact that Keith and Lance are like my fav characters of all time. And I can relate to both of them at the same time idk. Anyway, back to what’s important: evidence of canon.

So… Do I really need to show these? Like these scenes do not need further analysis it just reeks of dorks-in-love-who-don’t-know-they’re-in-love-with-each-other-and-who-don’t-know-that-the-other-is-in-love-with-them. Man I love Klance. 

So instead let’s over-analyze a few other scenes…

“Babe I thought you would have my back.”

“First you forget the bonding moment now this.”

Look this one is a stretch lol but just look at Keith’s face. When you watch this scene, Keith goes from his signature annoyed and irritated look to a betrayed and frustrated look. Maybe that’s just me, but aside from that, he doesn’t necessarily look pissed off, his face changes from his usual pissy look to something much different. Obviously what Lance says does calm him down enough not to yell back at him, but he also looks frustrated because no one understand him or his secret about his past with the Blade of Mamora and all that good junk at this point. I think it is especially bothering him that he can’t just upfront say what he is hiding, and instead he knows he is looking like a fool in front of them (and especially Lance). 

Body language is important. Keith turns around as not to face them, I think he is hurt because obviously this whole situation is important to him but not even Lance seems to understand him. And I seriously think Keith and Lance have like this weird mutual understanding usually. Like ya they fight I get that, but usually they kinda get what the other is trying to get at I feel, idk maybe thats just me. 

Let’s take a moment to appreciate how blue Lance’s eyes are in this… I love my son…

So like if you look closely at this scene you notice that when Lance is making eye contact with Keith, Keith has his typical “I hate you Lance but really I don’t but I’m gonna pretend like I do” face. But right when Lance looks away Keith actually looks sad and kinda hurt. Out of everyone, he hates that Lance is the one revealing his flaws, and even he knows its true. Lance stop insulting your husband. He’s actually sensitive about what you think of him:(((

Uhhh lowkey I think Keith is just as insecure as Lance is, but he just doesn’t show it… Oh the Klangst!

And another thing we get to see in Season 2 is that Lance is showing ALOT of concern of Keith’s wellbeing which is pretty big if you ask me because season 1 was basically Pining!Keith worried about his boyf. Now we get to see some worried Lance.

Honestly, like I mentioned before, the creators are going for a slow burn. And both Shallura and Klance definitely have their little hints and subtle moments that are very easily missed. But that’s the point. If it’s too obvious then the ending won’t be as powerful, the couples won’t be as special. Also, the development of both of these couples is going slow but very well thought out and I actually appreciate it a lot. I know for a fact K//allura won’t be canon because their interaction is too straight-up(lol) for it to be canon. It could be said as “predictable” but idk I just get a total brotp vibe from them nothing more, plus if they were hinting at canon for them, they wouldn’t have them hug so soon. Also their reactions and facial expressions toward the hugs and touches would be very different. It wasn’t tender like the Bonding Moment™ or the Shallura hand grab™. Facial expressions and reactions are key! Keith looked indifferent when Allura fell into his arms and their hug was sweet yes but it wasn’t hesitant and nervous like a couple who just discovered their feelings for one another would react. It was a hug between two people who recognize their bond. It was a strong bond yes, between two lovers? no I don’t think so. Allura, herself even confirmed how she now viewed the paladins as her family and it just felt to much like a familial bond I couldn’t see anything more to it. If Kallura was to be canon they would have more subtle moments than in-your-face big moments. Little details in the way Keith or Allura would look, or in the background they would be gazing at each other (*cough* like Keith does to Lance *cough*) It’s the little things that count, remember that.

The only ship I was concerned that would be canon was Sh//eith, because they have an obvious bond that is much different than everyone else. But ever since the “Shiro, you’re a bro to me” happened, it basically killed any chance of it happening. Which in my opinion is much better because Klance and Shallura have so much potential and their stories can expand and be written so well. As it is, the creators are doing a really good job at unraveling their stories slowly but just enough as to give the viewers hope which is the goal usually for tv shows. They try to make the shippers suffer sometimes *sigh*. 

Anywho, if you read up to this point thanks for listening to me rambling about space parents and space ranger partners lol! I loved season 2 because it revealed a lot about Keith not only through the obvious backstories and blade of mamora stuff but also through his interactions. And yes Keith is my fav lol. Anyways, I am 99.9% sure Klance and Shallura are gonna be canon but by no means am I saying you shouldn’t ship what you want. You do you, folks. Ship on and enjoy the show!

Not sure there's more people preferring the last seasons. But well since I don't like them I'm not gonna follow blogs praising them lol. But yeah there's some of us liking the first seasons more, ie @poioriginal is out there being iconic, though idk if it's active anymore it's been a while since I've seen a notif. I feel like there's a fracture in the fandom, like there's a fandom for the beginning and a fandom for the end. It just feels like two different shows. The last seasons being more of a crappy spin-off than anything imo. Though they did what they could with S5...

I love the earlier seasons bc of many things: John and Harold's partnership and how it develops. Their partnership with Fusco and Carter. Seeing them save people. Seeing John being a badass. Seeing Harold being a badass with computers. Back then the show was about "everyone is relevant to someone", "everyone deserves a second chance". I just. Loved the characters and the themes and the atmosphere, you know ?

There's just. Something. Ig it's the combination of all I said in the previous paragraph. Poi is one of my biggest obsessions. It's the only fandom I wrote fics for. And I may have a love/hate relationship with it given what it ended up being, but as Cecil Palmer once said, "I'm learning to let my anger go" though it doesn't look like it given the state of this post. In the end I still fucking love it and in 10 years I'll probably still be banging pots and pans talking about John and Rinch and Number Crunch.

And then the quality lessened with S3. I could tell you plenty of fav eps that I have from S1 (rn I'm braindead and can only think of dead reckoning for S2). But S3 ? 4C. And that's it.

Carter's death annoyed me but it wasn't what alienated me from the show. Root is the main annoyance. She's a sort of Mary Sue imo (don't really like the term but also can't really think of a better one). She's good at hacking and she's an assassin. A gun in each hand ? Miss me with that shit. I mean yeah John is portrayed as an absolute badass too, but it's still a bit more realistic that "I'm good at everything" Root.

She kidnapped Harold and traumatized him and I'm supposed to believe that Harold and John are chill with her now ? That Harold isn't Absolutely Uncomfortable around her and that John wouldn't shoot her on sight ? Also the whole analog interface shit made no sense to me. Why the hell did the machine pick that unstable psycho.

On top of root there's the whole decima thing that I couldn't bring myself to care about to the point that the only thing I remember about it is that it annoyed me.

Don't get me started on John saying ooc shit before dying, "saving one life at a time seemed a bit anticlimactic" holy shit go watch your own show before writing shit like this ???? Though I admit John sacrificing himself for Harold was fitting, I'll still be heartbroken over it for the rest of my life, but it was fitting.

I was here for a procedural show with John and Harold saving numbers. Not for Mary Sue root and some AI war (and I do love SF and AI stuff but. Not like this). I am aware that I didn't actually watch S4 and S5, save for return 0 and a few S4 eps, so my judgement isn't very accurate. But I know it's not about what I liked about poi. And if a few eps of S4 managed to make me loose my interest it's not a very good sign.
