One of my recent fascinations after finding all my old sylvanians from childhood and adding to the collection is the differences in years/regions between what looks on the outside like the same family

As a birthday treat back in July I ordered some urban life ivory dog sylvanians because as a kid my absolute FAVOURITE family hands down was the patches family and they finally arrived !!

(my mum had to buy two sets of the nursery trio with the patches baby bc our dog chewed up my original one and I was inconsolable)

Discoveries: Japanese urban life family a) are taller, b) have no grippy thumbs, and c) have the shiniest most reflective tail material that is also the limpest thing in existence (and delicate, a piece flaked off of kiddos tail from handling them)
