Probably a bit of a hot take, but KoRn's album "The Path Of Totality" is completely overhated. Is it their greatest album? No absolutely not, but is it a bad album? No, hell I'd even say its a GOOD album! This is coming from someone who absolutely HATES dubstep btw, I'd actually go out of my way to listen to that album, its enjoyable! Of course it doesn't fit in with KoRn's discography but you gotta at least appreciate the fact that they wanted to try something new, it didn't work and they went back to their usual style, but they tried! They did a pretty damn good job at fitting dubstep with their style too, in a way that actually makes dubstep somewhat bareable! Anyways ramble over, this album deserves so much more love than it got.

sappy new years fob post i guess. wild that a year ago we had literally nothing except a few weird teasers and now look at us!!! we have an album that is so gorgeous and important and fucking slaps. we have a band that have been around the world fucking beaming at the crowd every night and being silly together and having FUN!!! and dropping shit like 'i think this is the best tour we've ever done' in the middle of shows!!! playing a song they hadn't touched in nearly 15 years partially due to weird reception and it becoming a setlist staple that got played at sports events and corporate parties. playing a random little b side on night 1 of tour for fun that became 'digging into the deepest corners of our discography for songs that a lot of people here will probably not know but will be life changing for the ones that do'... the shared joy of it all. william beckett, mikey way, travie mccoy. ginasfs, doldrums, pavlove. i feel like everyone had some kind of Moment during tour with a song they love but assumed was a lost cause which was so lovely. the shared absolute emotional wreckage of it all. spotlight, 27, hallelujah, dark alley. places literally no one was expecting them to go and they never made a huge thing of any of it- if you knew you knew and if you knew it was SO incredibly important. tour of healing and all that. they trusted us with this album and wrote us little love letters all tour and we wrote them back by responding so much more enthusiastically than anyone was expecting us to. there has just been so much joy in fob world this year and it is so so nice to feel that again. fall out boy forever and ever and ever <3

Oh wise SolRadGuy, Ky has a belt buckle that says Hope, and I think Sol has associated with Free and I feel I understand why he has that (he’s mocking Ky I thought but also he has it semi-genuinely?) but I don’t necessarily understand Sin’s Oath word association.

Do you know what it might mean in relation to his character? Would it be possible for you to explain the belt buckle word associations?

Oh Oath is just the clothing brand Sin wears. Like how Sol's stuff is all from Riot?

Ky and Sol made their belt buckles when they were in the Holy Order because it was a thing the knights did where they'd carve an "ideal" into their uniform buckle. There's a part later in Lightning the Argent that talks about it more. I think there's another knight that has one with a word carved into it in that book too, but I can't remember who or what it was.

I don't think Sin's clothing brand being called Oath really means much, I think it was just chosen because it sounds cool. But maybe someone that knows Sin on a deeper level than me can elaborate on it if it does expand on his character depth more.

Ky likely chose "hope" for his buckle because of his aspirations for trying to make the world a better place and staying optimistic/hopeful that he'll be able to make it happen or live long enough to see it happen. Sol probably went with "free" because a lot of his autonomy had been taken from him and he wants it back. He didn't want to be made into a Gear, or be forced into saving the world a bunch of times, or anything like that.

What I think the real meaning here is, though, is that Daisuke Ishiwatari was a really big fan of Revelations by Iron Maiden.
