Just remembered the time while I was at BYU when I had a dream there was a monster under the school, and when I went to kill it it took form as a Red Elephant. Once the Red Elephant was defeated, the school was free, and as a result became entirely LGBTQ accepting because I guess the Red Elephant was causing the homophobia.

last night I dreamed there was a "missing" 90s movie version of Pride and Prejudice that was a lurid, ahistorical romp, and completely unfaithful to the book.

It was set in the mid-1800s and Darcy was an inventor/architect/engineer who was obsessed with improving people's houses and raising their living standards. But he did it in such a rude and high-handed way that everyone was constantly mad at him, even though he was giving them better drains and electic lights or whatever. Elizabeth spent most of the movie arguing with Darcy about minute details of the structure and architecture of her family’s house and defending it against his criticism.

The movie was part North and South, part George Eliot, part Marie Antoinette (2006), and part Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. It was directed by Baz Luhrmann.

I don’t know what dream-me was on about last night but for some reason in the dream my family was talking about having fake secrets and I was like “oh I have one! I write loz fanfiction except haha actually that’s not a fake secret I actually do that.”

And my family got really mad at me??? which I’m like 99% sure would not happen if I did tell them, but they were acting like I’d said I was doing drugs or something, it was awful and this dream did not help my confidence in someday actually telling them I write fic
