Mundane TWST Headcanons

Riddle: expanded the room the hedgehogs and flamingos have in their enclosures

Trey: actually eats super healthily when it comes to cooking for himself. He can make food taste like whatever he wants, so he has no problem with vegetables

Cater: used to have three diamonds on his cheek because the aesthetic was nicer, but stopped doing that when Jade and Floyd came to school because he didn’t want to ‘steal their shtick’

Ace: the type of kid to throw everything into the trash can from across the room. If it looks like it’s going to miss he does a quick little bit of wind magic to send it back on course

Deuce: his hair is blue because he dyed his hair black a while back and he doesn’t know how often you’re supposed to touch it up (his mom dyes her hair with him)

Leona: actually physically can’t stay awake through a whole day anymore because he accidentally conditioned his body into taking naps

Ruggie: is best friends with the kitchen ghosts. They pile extra food on his plate

Jack: likes to watch the sunrise while jogging in the mornings but will never admit it

Azul: allows his workers one free meal a day

Jade: when he takes off his shoes in their dorm, he stops to find wherever Floyd kicked his shoes off and sets them neatly by the door for him

Floyd: whenever he cooks, people make sure to send their compliments to the chef. He knows it’s at least partially out of fear, but it makes him happy to hear that people enjoyed what he made anyway

Kalim: always makes sure to not throw any parties within a week of Jamil’s birthday. He wants to throw Jamil a party himself, but Jamil would up stressed and trying to micromanage everything from the sidelines, so this is the best he can do

Jamil: his hair is long as a tiny act of rebellion. It’s inconvenient in every part of his job, and it makes him happy to grow it out despite this

Vil: when he gets free samples from brands he models for, he gives them to his dorm members. He can afford to buy it all himself, anyway

Rook: if someone in the dorm ever cries, he’ll stand outside their door making sure no one comes in

Epel: his family sends all of the other first years almost as many apples as Epel himself gets

Idia: used to play ‘monsters vs heroes’ with Ortho when they were kids. Ortho always insisted on being the hero, and Idia would always do the most dramatic, drawn out ‘deaths’ when he ‘lost’

Ortho: he knows he can watch and analyze movies in a second, but he likes to enjoy them in real time

Malleus: if he has ice cream, he will temporarily make the area around himself colder to make sure it doesn’t melt

Lilia: the only reason he remembers his birthday every year is because he makes a point to throw a (small) party just so he can invite Malleus to it

Sebek: is good with volume control if you ask him to be quieter

Silver: his hair is always a mess because birds try to preen him

ok listen i was a ben 10 girlie like anyone else obsessed with cartoons from the 2000s. i fucking LOVE the show let me start with that. ive rewatched the og series and alien force and ultimate alien multiple times. but i have such a hard time creating fanart/fic or even just engaging in general fandom because something doesnt quite click right and ive realized why: its because i cant dehumanize ben

ben turns into so many different aliens that it no longer matters. theyre costumes rather than a complete change with consequences. i would so much rather he get infected with one kind of super turbo powerful alien dna and we see how that changes him, physically and mentally, as he navigates this new world of monsters and fights aliens and eventually has to be made a peacekeeper of the universe all because he accidentally ended up with the omnitrix.

i want to see him go through whats basically alien puberty because hes growing into this and the omnitrix was never supposed to go to a literal child and i want him to lose his humanity as he gets lost in this world and never be able to go back.

i understand why we didnt get it and im not at all mad about it because i know this is a very specific thing i personally like to see. i just dont have the energy to make my own au so im ranting but man. i can dream.

also i want the necrofriggian babies back. i want to see ben raising his kids. i want him to struggle with being a teen dad. give me consequences to the silly events and let him go through the horrors and grow from it

I think a lot about how Sister’s story is told by everyone but her. Through Nihil’s songs, through Cardi’s song, from the Resurrection and Reverence collection to all of the music videos, it’s never from her which feels like it should be a big deal. Sister Imperator is supposed to be read as this mysterious figure that nobody quite understands (at least according to the metal myths losers) and that people still aren’t really sure what the hell she was up to before Nihil came around. She makes a few comments but they’re all very tame and don’t actually offer any information on her feelings or thoughts towards what has happened (i.e. relationship with nihil dumbed down to “I had his balls” and other shit like that)

Today I was thinking about RHRN at work and the Mary on a Cross sequence, which when first watching I had assumed would be a cutaway that Imperator led- there’s a Scooby-Doo tape tucked somewhere under the tv set and it really seemed like the perfect chance to tie it in. Obviously the film doesn’t do that which I think is lame because the tragedy there??? Imperator finally “recounting” her side of the story that’s been lost for however long, left to Nihil and Cardi to retell and basically made a spectacle after MOAC blew up. I know Sister is technically still alive or at least isn’t gone for good but for her to have that sort of closure before dying would’ve been really impactful methinks.
