What are dead man walking tornadoes? :O

it’s a multi-vortex tornado. i dont remember the tribe it originates from (i think it was cherokee), but there’s a native american legend…? saying? that goes “if you see a man in a tornado, you are about to die.”

it did so much damage to the town it caused the scale that tornados are measured by, the fijita scale, undergo revisions, and it made anchoring buildings in the tornado alley region pretty much mandatory. (it took the entire town off the map. only those who had taken shelter outside of the town or in underground bunkers survived.)

and a tornado from 1975 that hit xenia, ohio

edit: it has been brought to my attention that the native american “legend” part of this post was a rumor spread by a documentary.

Lois Lane has been reporting for many many years and has seen things both in her career and in her daily life that most folks could never imagine.

For instance, right now she's being held captive by Parasite AGAIN and is waiting for Superman to help her out of this. It's the same old rhythm that it's always been. Be captured, get tied up, wait, Superman rushes in, fights the bad guy of the day, incapacitates the bad guy, and frees her.

So far she's gotten to step two of the rhythm. Now she just needs to wait for-

Lois startles as the ropes binding her glow a faint green and fall to the floor. She turns to find whoever freed her...

That's no Superman.

I need Spirk Academy Era fics to be less AOS and more SNW because I need Spock and Sam in a literal brawl in the middle of campus while Jim takes bets on how fucked up Sam is gonna be when Spock is done with him. I need Spock literally telling Sam not to test him or he’ll fuck his brother and Jim is all *whispers* ‘test him test him test him test him test him-‘ not realizing Sam isn’t the only one hearing him. I need Spock going to girls night where he complains that he can’t possibly marry Jim or he’ll be brothers-in-law with Sam and Uhura is all *pats his hair* ‘…so… can I fuck your bondmate?’ And Spock sorta just shrugs like whatever it’s not like he’s gonna, and now Spock has decided he’s gonna have to kill Sam before he marries Jim. God. What a chore.

I think making it more SNW would be funny entirely for the Kirk dynamics.

Just something about the absolute goofball energy of the first, running into the megalomaniac energy of the second. I feel like President Loki would be all "I am here to rule and nothing's going to stop me!" and the Mobius variant would be confused but on board and also distracted by a dish on another table: "Oh yeah? Cool, cool, tell me more. Hey, are you going to eat that?"

What if Bones is introduced to SNW in an episode where he's just entirely working with Chapel and he's super charming and they get along really well--and that's why Spock is so pissy with him from the beginning and Bones can't understand it because he wasn't there for the big musical number where Spock got dumped

I wanna stock the ship I wanna repair things I wanna have different saves where I try all of the different tracks of starfleet I wanna move up the ranks I wanna try and become first officer maybe captain if I’m feeling brave
