#i been thinkin about the asteroid again #i think about the asteroid a lot more than i think is normal #like just the complete randomness of it and how everything changed in literally the blink of an eye #like the dinoss rules the fucking earth and probably still would if space had just been a little bit different #how long did it take the asteroid to reach us #at what point was the impact inevitable #like these sound like scientific answers but i need you to know these are questions that my soul wants answered in poetry #yes the math is cool but can i talk about what tragedy looks like melted into the earth #how power and pain and mourning but also change and new life and a future were embedded in a layer of iridum that spread around the planet #can we talk about how looking at the layers of the earth is the most physical type of time travel there is #can i please talk about that layer of pain #can i mourn when i see it #or am i just a weird kid crying when i look at rocks #ALSO. was parasaurolophus alive when the asteroid hit? i dont think so #but it's too late #yall get to suffer with me #dinosaurs

I feel like there's quite a few different things that could work in that scenario #he has wit in terms of smarts & snark & whimsy. he was part of a movement that opposed tyranny and valued freedom. back then he wanted #to protect innocents. he's charismatic and good w/ people. he was a loyal friend to solas and later on was loyal to briala. he's calm and #level-headed. steady. a slow arrow makes its way to its target/goal slowly but steadily and you dont see it coming #Wit.. Loyalty.. Friendship.. Freedom.. Steadfastness.. Charm.. Protection.. Resolve.. Duty #my personal hc atm tho is- if he was- Guidance ◕‿◕. “'I kindled nothing' Felassan said. [...] 'I merely offered guidance.'"#he spent the rebellion guiding an army as a General and giving Solas guidance on how to be a good leader interact w/ people be the face #of a rebellion and to stay on the right path as one of his advisors. later he was Briala's hahren/elder giving her guidance through TME #he signs codexes like ask for the slow arrow and i will help/guide you. he was looking after those of flesh and fade in the lighthouse #guidance can be given from both a second-in-command (subordinate) role and from a superior (elder to mentee) role #when we see him in a memory Solas welcomes the spirits in elven then says “lasa ghilan” which means grant/give guidance #and the very next thing that happens is that Felassan speaks. an Arrow gives direction. it POINTS THE WAY..

everytime i think about ex!bakugo, i get so emotional thinking about how he carries on with his day-to-day like the breakup didn’t happen.

he doesn’t even give himself time to mourn the relationship, to process the loss of you. he throws himself into work, practically drowning in it because he can’t bear staying idle.

you’re everywhere, still—

in the picture frames scattered around his home, in the decorative pieces that each hold their own memory. some of the clothes you returned to him smell like you.

when kirishima asks him how he is, he never answers, always redirecting the subject back to work. deku notices longer bouts of silence during joint patrols, and when he pries, bakugo’s only reply is, “s’not a concern.”

it’s unusual, because bakugo is loud and rough, he barks and barks and barks, but with this, he stays quiet.

#i think about ex bakugo so much if i spent the same amount of time thinkin abt him as writing him i would have finished the fic by now #JOSNXKSJXKSKXJDK #you’re still friends bc same circles and work #but because he throws himself so much into work you don’t really see eachother much a few months after the breakup #you worry for him still because you know his tendencies #you know he’ll push this to the side and keep it to himself until it all spills over one day #you find out he’s been staying completely quiet about it when mitsuki texts you and asks when you and katsuki will come for the holidays :(#he doesnt delete your photos HE DOESNT DELETE THEM. i dont think he has the heart to #bakugo x reader #shotorus.bubble #sigh

Hey y'all remember when the biologist projected the personality of her late (most likely dead or transformed) husband onto an owl that may or may not have actually been her actual husband after undergoing a transformation brought on by the effect of being in area x?

Y'all remember when the biologist lived with her owl husband for years and years, not forcing it to act human but allowing it to do its own owl thing while it allowed her to do her own thing? And despite them having their own individual lives, they loved in proximity of each other, sought each other out despite being completely different species, brought each other gifts and food? How even if the owl was never actually her husband and was just a regular old owl, how the love/solidarity/trust that formed the basis of their mutual relationship transcended both their species and extenuating circumstances?

Y'all remember how when the owl eventually succumbed to old age, the biologist allowed the brightness within her to be free? The very same brightness that the biologist was quite literally fighting off? How she had to continuously injure herself, self harm, make herself sick and miserable in order to desperately hold onto her humanity, onto the very essence of who she is? How when her owl husband died, she no longer had a reason to keep fighting against her transformation? To keep fighting to remain the biologist as she was?

Was the owl ever actually her husband, or was she looking for a reason to keep fighting against what became her very nature?

Y'all ever think about how, by being a literal owl, the biologist's husband was easier for the biologist to both understand and care for? How, by being an owl, the biologist's husband could show love and trust in a way that the biologist understood and appreciated? That this transformation allowed them to find happiness with each other, regardless of its fleeting nature?
